The early bird gets the good deal... or not?
FFXIV 'Vanilla' Gpose Challenge: 4. Battle
Not the type of battle you were expecting now, was it? Haggling on Ul'dah's streets is a battle in itself! Just ask Lily, he would know.
Even though he is known as being a good, maybe a too good, haggler he also has time where, no matter how much he tries to negotiate, the merchant just wont lower the price another 50 gil... come on!

Peaceful! I guess you could say? Lily isn't the biggest fan of violence so if he can avoid it by knocking his target out and restraining them before it escalates he'll attempt that. So he's be described as something like this: "Dodging any attacks he could while trying to calmly talk to his assailant lol! Though, despite all of that he (Lily) still managed to knock him (assailant) out swiftly when words didn't work! The guy got turned in to the [grand company] after, it was wild to watch and also kind of amusing, who would've known the warrior of light was such a softie!"

Your WoL fights a random enemy, a random npc/civilian happens to witness that. How would they describe the encounter?

Morning practice
FFXIV 'Vanilla' Gpose Challenge: 1. Job
During the early mornings you might be lucky to catch a glimpse of Ul'dahs quiet hours, but somewhere on the silent streets stepping and tapping can be heard. Either from the middle of the streets or hidden away in an alleyway, Lily will be up early in the mornings, practicing his dance. It's beautiful.
Also, side note: I didn't see that it also excluded clothes and body stuff, but I don't want to live in a world where Lily gets exposed to be a twink (vanilla), he needs to be build like a brick♥ As for other things, I have one spice installed that swaps some of the F-viera and M-viera poses, but it's hardly noticeable,,, but I first realized that after setting up for day two so uh... sucks ig LOL

forgot i also drew the two younger ones
Rose is the second youngest, she's full of energy and loves climbing things. She claims to become a famous adventurer and botanist when she grows up. Doesn't actually care much for fashion but her older siblings like to dress her in various cute and cool outfits.
Violet is the youngest and presented male not long ago. He's usually quiet and can act shy on the outside, but most of the time it's because other people doesn't interest him so he will just ignore those he dislikes. He usually clings to either Layla or Lily when they go out because he hates when strangers talk to him. He has a cute face and seems approachable to other children and aunties with children of their own.
Additionally...
Layla and Kanna can vaguely recall the faces of their mothers and other adults from their home village, it's a hazy memory, but a memory nonetheless. Layla was 11 and Kanna 8 when their homes got destroyed, they still vividly remember it alongside Lily who was around 15. Rose and Violet, however, were only 4 and 3 so they barely remember how their lives in the jungle were. When trying to recall their mothers, both of them just see Lily's face. The two are very attached to Lily specifically, hence why they chose their names in a similar matter to his.
Kanna may have been the "main" caretaker of Rose and Violet, but she would also heavily rely on Lily when he was home, he had previously helped caring for the children and has also helped deliver a few back in the jungle. Lily never mentions anything to the others, but one of the reasons he keeps a lot of plants at home is because it subconsciously soothes both him, Layla and Kanna.
pen doodles, 2 of Lily's younger sisters!
Layla, the cool and handsome bookworm. And Kanna, the cute but timid caretaker. Layla wants to be able to study in Old Sharlayan, but the Oh'fally's lacks the funds, and Kanna wants to become a teacher but needs to work on her social anxiety!

*cracks knuckles* Well let me tell you.. this is also a great time to talk about Lily's background story! So get ready, I will hide this under a read more because it's not going to be short (apologies)..
Also, you will need context for this so uh..... yeah ficlet ig
Tl;dr: Having to bury his own mother after finding her corpse, and becoming an adult before turning 15, and I mean working 12 hours 7 days a week, doing house chores and taking care of the kids, working adult. :)
Lily was originally a Golmore Jungle resident, he lived along the outskirts of the jungle and generally everyone in his village was like one big family. Before, Lily was known as Raeja and was often helping the adults take care of the children, even when he was a child he had very strong maternity instincts. He was the child of the head of the village and despite her cold demeanor cared for her child a lot and was always worried because Raeja was not a great hunter nor fighter. There was a single veena in his rava village named Near, they were found by a wood-warder as an infant and brought to the village as it was the closest nearby, there, Near was raised alongside Raeja.
Before and up to him presenting, most in the village speculated he would present female, not because of his maternity instincts but because he was taller then most his age and also built muscle fast (re: my viera hc's), though to everyone's surprise Raeja presented male and later was picked up by a a wood-warder the same day. Raeja only spent 2 years in training before a disaster struck and the Empire began burning down some of the jungle in favor of agriculture, and alongside that was magitek machines and soldiers to make sure the viera wouldn't interfere.
Each of the youngest trainee's were tasked with warning their villages, Raeja being sent back to his.
When the Imperials reached the boarders of his village, the adults made sure to hide the kits away in a safety burrow (think bunker) and fight to protect their home. Raeja's mother know he was no good in a fight and asked him to stay with them and take care of them, petting his head before promising everyone would be safe. Nearly 48 hours of constant fighting before silence fell over the burrow, the sound of machines still shaking the earth. Another 12 hours of silence before Raeja even dared to look outside.
Fearing the worst when he emerged from the burrow, he was met with something that was even worse than that. Everything was either burnt to ashes or demolished to dust, if not it was barely a husk of a building. Dead bodies littered his sight, some familiar faces and some unrecognizable and unidentifiable bloody bodies. His mother was no where to be seen, yet.
A throb in his head and he saw a scene play out in front of him. The Garlean soldiers slaughtering the remaining viera, looking for any survivors just in case. After confirming they had killed every one of them, a conversation took place. Two men, one with more fancy looking garb and one ordinary one, were talking about the future of the cultivation of "these rich lands" and so on. The fancy clad man was the one who spoke. "Fierce those beasts are, the dealt quite the blow to our forces. Let's retreat for now and return at a later date. Cleaning up and removing the filth," he gestured to the dead viera, "will have to be done before we can grow anything." The other man saluted him and the troops turned to leave.
Staggering a bit, Raeja came to again. He had appeared to be frozen in shock for the others and didn't move until one of the younger children tried to peak outside. Though before they could see anything, Raeja grabbed them and held them tight, wearing a horrified expression as he silently held back his tears. "Do not leave the burrow until I say so." Raeja had spoken, authority in his voice, not that unlike his mothers, though never had any of them heard such a stern voice come from him. Raeja then pulled aside the five oldest, letting them in on the situation at hand. He asked the three who was ten, or more summers old, with helping him bury the bodies so that the youngest would never have to see what they did, and asked the two who others, who was eight and nine, to make sure everyone else stayed in the burrow. Once everyone was ready, they got too work.
The only one who didn't shed a single tear throughout the whole process was Raeja. He had told him self to act strong, he was the oldest, he had been a wood-warder trainee for two summers, he should set an example of leadership now. He should be the adult.
He would only turn fifteen in a couple months.
Worries about not having enough time before the "metal men" came back, large holes were dug instead so they could be laid to rest, together they were a village and together they would sleep. Raeja had managed to keep a brave face until a familiar tuft of hair grazed his vision. Chills ran down his spine and his body started to shake, this couldn't be... could it? A trembling hand reached out to brush away the leaves and dirt covering the cold body, only for a scream to echo through the jungle. Near was the first to run over. "What ha-.. !" Hunched over, sobbing and shaking before them, was Raeja. Clutching the hand of his dead mother. It wasn't pretty. Wounds covered her body, some limbs barely attached, a missing ear. Her face was hidden behind Raeja's trembling form, though he hadn't seemed to notice Near was watching him. Gritting their teeth, they returned to their previous task with tense shoulders and lowered ears. Near had always felt a bit alienated within the village, despite being cared for, no one was "theirs" so to speak, but Raeja had always been there and was the only one to treat them with the same kindness as he treated everyone else. No favouritism was held in his view, so seeing him all broken down like that was enough to set off fires within their tiny body. Mumbling curses under their breath as they continued to look for corpses, their body started to shake. Rage and a lust for revenge started to boil until they stomped their foot to the ground, leaving behind a hole in the shape of their paw. "I swear... I SWEAR I'LL KILL THEM!" Near yelled in frustration, tears bubbling in their eyes as the continued to stomp the hole deeper and wider. But what could they do? They hadn't even presented yet and they didn't even have their practice spears anymore. There was nothing.
No one to run to.
No one to turn to.
No where to go.
Raeja returned to the others sooner than Near expected. Eyes dry, but undeniably red and swollen, and a gentle smile on their lips. "Where is she?" they had wanted to ask, being the only one who knew besides Raeja himself, but refrained and instead told him "welcome back" in a hoarse voice after having screamed a lot.
After about a day of almost constant digging and burying, every body should had been hidden from sight. "What now?" one of the older kits asked. "We split into two groups. One heads south and one heads north. Those who go north go to seek shelter and warn the village. Their huge metal beasts can't be damaged through normal methods. Those who go south will look for a new life-" "WHY?!" Having suddenly been interrupted, Raeja looked over to see Near with their fists clenched. "Why are we splitting up?!" Furrowed brows rested above an intense glare, they were not inclined to split up. "Ne- Near! Calm down, Raeja must have their- his reasons for-" the young viera froze when Near turned to glare at them. "QUIET! I didn't ask you! And you-" they turned back to Raeja, "we are not splitting up."
"We are. There's no way the village north of ours will take in all of us." Raeja rebutted, gesturing to everyone. Eleven survivors meant eleven more mouths to feed. They had already had an unusual large number of kits, Raeja knew this. The first to break eye contact was Near who did so with a click of their tongue.
Raeja would be leading the first group. The were going south in search of a new home, and along side him came four other.
Near would be leading the second group. They were going north to warn the village closest by and ask for shelter together with five others. If not everyone was taken in, Near would then lead the remaining to the north east, the second closest village.
Unhappy though, as Near was, Raeja made them a promise. That this wasn't the last time they saw each other. They would meet again.
Raeja was now an adult. According to him at least. Fourteen summers old, he was soon turning fifteen, he was the oldest so he should make sure everyone was safe. He had to raise them and care for them in stead of their mothers. He was the oldest after all.
Because I am a little hobgoblin and I love to read about peoples' OC's, I wanted to chuck out a random WoLQotD that I didn't want to use as a single ask for my drive: What, in your opinion, is the most horrific thing about your character's story? Is it who they are and how they treat the world? Is it where they came from; the wars, political divide, state of their family, etc. Is it the magic they wield/was it an event that defined them?
I love a little horror/angst in my worldbuilding, so I want to hear yours.
