• Klee wanted to spend time SPECIFICALLY with you and Albedo. You know, kids have those kinds of phases.

• Jean had some civil matters to tend to throughout the city, meaning that she would be out of office for a time. So being the trusting and reliable knight you were, she asked you if you could watch Klee for her before apologizing for the inconvenience. 🧍‍♀️

• I mean, ofc she'd ask you. 'Cause like... you're Albedo's s/o??

• Anyway, Klee was ecstatic to be around you cause she loves you. <3

• Meanwhile, Albedo was about to head for Mondstadt to get you, just to find you at the entrance of Dragonspine, holding Klee's hand to keep her in place and keeping an eye out for dangers.

• She was pointing towards the river, chanting out "FISH BLASTING."😭 Here you are, trying to calm her down.

• Every time he'd see you talking to Klee or playing with her, he would start to feel unusually warm. :))

"Klee, don't go too far out if you're not with one of us." Albedo informed her before turning towards the campfire. "I'm relieved that you guys came here on your own. Otherwise, the food would be cold if I had to bring you here."

The red elf hopped as she saw the sight of bass fish. It had some excellent seasoning, making her trot over to the food. You could've sworn you saw stars in her eyes.

You laughed at Klee's reaction before turning to Albedo. "Thank you for letting us over, Albedo dear. I hope we're not interfering with any of your schedules."

Albedo instantly shook his head. "Oh, no. You're not interrupting anything, [Name]. In fact, I made the next 5 days clear of any work. You're free to come over, you know?"

"Mr. Albedo, Mr./Ms. [Name], are you two going to eat with me?"

How could the two fo you refuse?

• After eating, Klee watched Albedo with some fun and safe experiments. All of the experiments had something to do with Dodoco. He also made her a little flower that he uses as an elevator. <3

• Time went by so fast that it was time to go. Even during fun times, your duty as a knight has more of a priority. After Albedo cleaned up, he accompanied you both back to Mondstadt.

• After reporting to Jean, she gave you very positive feedback. Albedo gave a quick peck on the cheek as a 'good job' gesture before leaving you to have some free time.

• In conclusion, babysitting Klee with Albedo was absolutely entertaining. She loved it, he loved it, you all loved it. Don't be surprised if Klee asks to be watched by you while you're available. :)

• Albedo had asked you if you and Aether could watch Klee for him, as he had some business to do outside of Mondstadt.

• Klee calls you guys "Knight couple" btw <3

• You really hoped that she didn't bury a bomb again like last time. Both of you did tbh.

• The two of you decided to take her to Good Hunter for now and have a meal before heading anywhere else. When it was time to pay, you and Aether were saying to eachother:

• "I'll pay, Aether. I don't mind." "Sweetheart, let me pay. I think it's my turn to." "Starlight, you said that every day from 5 days ago." "One of you pay already! Paimon's hungry!"

• Oh yeah, Paimon is there too obviously

After spending a good five or so minutes of bickering, you let Aether pay. Again. Meanwhile, Klee was fiddling with something in her hand.

"What'cha making there Klee?" You asked her with an adoring smile. "You're very focused there."

Klee shook her head politely. "No! I can't tell you yet Mr./Ms. [Name]. It's going to be a surprise!"

Aether turned his head to the little elf with an intrigued expression. "A surprise? For who?"

"You'll see once I am done!" She cheered, "No peeking!"

After going outside Mondstadt's walls, the four of you decided to take a stroll to Windrise. As you were looking at the crystalflies, Klee came up to both you and Aether.

"Mr. Honorary Knight and Mr./Ms. [Name], I have a surprise for both of you! I worked really hard on it!"

• Klee gave you both little dodoco charms to remember her by! You could have sworn that you were melting from how adorable she was, despite sometimes turning things into hell. <3

• No doubt about it, you and Aether will treasure them :D

• The four of you had some fun activities to do before having to head back to Albedo. He was just cleaning up the last of his project.

• Klee was walking with a cute smile on her face as she was being guided by you and Aether.

• I think that during this time of babysitting Klee, the both of you felt like parents in a way. Even Paimon knew that from the very moment you agreed to help babysit Klee.

a/n: Tbh this could've turned out better but I think that's okay. :) Right now, I'm just focusing on making a transition to high school.

Speaking of that, it may mean a lack of inactivity. I have NO IDEA if high school has more work than junior high, but I'm sure I'll be able to adapt to it. Hopefully--

The day was long and you were so tired. Commissions, cleaning the Cruz, and socializing with the crew only wore you out. You found yourself excited to crawl into bed and cuddle with your lover.

Your lover, Kazuha. Wait.. where is he?

You remember him mentioning that he would meet you back in your shared room. But you were standing at the entrance with him nowhere in sight.

With a sigh, you decide to go look for him yourself. Maybe you could convince Kazuha to come to bed. It was already late anyways.

Most of the crew had already retired for the night, so you hardly saw anyone who might know where your lover could be. Even then, Kazuha was more sly than them. He wouldn't tell them where he goes.

But regardless, you looked for the places he most commonly was. The peak of the ship, the helm, and even the secret rooms. But he wasn't anywhere to be found.

Finally, you found your lover at the very top of the ship, above the sail. He seemed to be content with the breeze in his face. But something seemed to be on his mind. Just looking at him was enough to tell you.

Kazuha heard your footsteps, but didn't turn. He already knew it was you. "Hello, my muse."

"You were difficult to find, my love." You mutter, sitting next to him. "Is something the matter?"

A smile graced Kazuha's face. "Nothing gets passed you." He sighs, holding your hand close. "Today was long and people were not easy to work with."

"You and me both. What happened?"

He didn't respond to your query immediately. The air between you two was warm and calm. The waves were crashing down by shore. The breeze from the sea coated your face, giving an additional chill to the already cold night.

You were loving every second of the current environment.

It was so tranquil. You adored quiet times like this. No bothers from the rest of the crew. No orders being given that need immediate attention. Just the two fo you, basking in the comfort of being there for each other.

And soon enough, your eyes grow heavy.

Maybe you could fall asleep. Yea.. you were with Kazuha. You were safe. He wouldn't let anything ever hurt you.

You were safe in his care.

Kazuha purposefully hid somewhere he knew you would find him. He wanted you to. The day was absolutely exhausting and he wanted nothing more than you and your presence.

He kept quiet for a while, looking for the right words to say. He wanted to describe his day without the headache that came with it.

But soon, he felt a sudden weight on his shoulders. His eyes widened as he turned his head.

There you were, sleeping soundly on his shoulder. You had a look mixed with content and exhaustion on your face. And your hand still kept its grip on his.

Kazuha didn't want to interrupt your peace. He would feel horrible to wake you up. And besides, you weren't bothering anyone.

The idea that you felt comfortable enough to fall asleep around him made his heart warm. You were so vulnerable, yet entrusted him to protect you.

You shifted in your sleep, moving to lie most of your body on his side. Kazuha adjusted to ensure you didn't fall. He carefully soothed your sleeping form, rubbing his thumb across your knuckles.

"You truly are a work of art.." He whispered, mostly to himself. "What did I do to deserve you. Your trust in me?"

Leaning both of your bodies back, the two of you were now propped up on the wood beam from behind. He lets out a yawn, lying his own head on yours.

Even as he falls asleep, he ensures he keeps a strong grip on your hand. Just to let you know that he's there.

And he's not going away anytime soon.

"i'm sorry."

he almost doesn't catch that: your whisper is almost inaudible among paimon's shriek as aether pokes her with raw fish. mona is sitting with fischl on the shore, trying to cheer her up, while xinyan is after the traveler's antics, giggling.

kazuha turns to face you, leaving the half chopped vegetables be. his eyes don't miss the way you're fiddling with your fingers, bandaged after the fight with the ronins you ran into during whatever happened this afternoon. the cuts were the first thing he noticed when you reunited on the last room, way too similar to the alcor he could call a home.

"i do not get what you might be referring to, love" he simply answers, walking closer to you (he hopes you dont mind the smell of tomatoes lingering on his hands), "mind clearing it up for me?"

you gulp, not daring to meet his gaze even when his fingers tentatively graze yours, something he does whenever he wants to comfort you - and it's ironic, since he should be the one feeling upset.

"i'm sorry for having to... listen, i guess? to your past. to... what you didn't want to tell me"

it's kazuha's time to sigh now, eyes closing as his fingers finally intertwine with yours - he internally grimaces as the feeling of bandages on your skin.

"the warmth of your heart never fails to amaze me, hummingbird," he muses quietly bringing your knuckles to his lips, but not pecking them, "why would you apologise as if you are the one who created such mirage? unless you're the mage, the 'alice' that the traveler and miss mona kept mentioning."

a small whine leaves your throat out of frustration while he brushes the back of your hands with small kisses: "it's not that. i just... feel like i accidentally crossed boundaries," you whisper back, squeezing his hands trying to grab his full attention, "i wanted to cover my ears but the voices kept coming from everywhere and i just-" you break eye contact, feeling shame crawl on your back, "i wish i could have avoided it. i thought holding onto you as we got transported inside the bonsai would separate me from the others but it didn't work. it feels like i was forced to acknowledge something i was not supposed to know."

you can't see the way he's looking at you and for the first time in your relationship, kazuha is glad about it. he blinks a few times, glad you can't see the glimmer of tears trying to spill out and waits a few moments before speaking, fearing that a wavering voice would betray him.

and he's speechless.

"come here, little one. come here, please" his hands leave yours just for his arms to wrap around your form, tugging you close, the closest he can manage, to him. nuzzling his face in your hair as you hide your face in his chest, he speaks again:

"you have nothing to apologise for, angel. it was.. how things were supposed to be, perhaps." a hand sneaks under your shirt, grazing your bare skin gently as kazuha tries to get even closer to you.

you protest, the sound muffled by the fabric of his clothes "but it's unfair, 'zuha. it's like you were forced to share your past even if you didn't want to. and- gods, even people you don't know well like mona and fischl got to see it."

"i believe a part of me is glad," he breathes out, "i'm glad i no longer have to tell you what is burdening me, and that someone did it in my place. although that someone was my past self."

he pulls away to look at you, a hand resting on your cheek. the way he's looking at you makes your knees weak.

"if anything, i should apologise for being such a hard person to love"

you break down. kazuha had always appreciated your sensitive side, even before you two started dating. he would rub your back after you cried sharing a sad story he heard during one of his travels, or try to cheer you up at the sight of your tears after a particular dramatic song yunjin would sing in your presence. but right now you're despising your weak self, wanting to be the one to protect him for once.

"that's- that's bullshit!" you sob out, covering the hand on your cheek with your own, "you are not hard to love! you are the most gentle soul i ever encountered, the most - the most beautiful person there could be out there. both inside and outside."

"you could even be the son of the cruelest tyrant and that wouldn't change anything! i just- see, i can't even put myself in words!"

that makes him laugh a little, although you can't sense any real humour coming from him.

kazuha doesn't answer, simply hugging you again.

"i love you," he manages to get out before you feel a sob shake his shoulders. and another as you kiss the crown of his head.

"i love you more than you will ever know, kazuha"

giggles nervously damn writers block is slapping me violently sorry if this is awful

• You were walking through Liyue Harbor with Kazuha, visiting some restaurants and looking at some jewelry. (cause why not, lol)

• ...and while doing that, a sweet florist came by with flowers.

• Kazuha thought it would be nice to get some for his S/O. <3

• While you were sidetracked, he escaped from you to get some flowers. Knowing him, he'd know what kind of flowers you like.

• The florist kept on getting close to him each time he scooted away from her.

• You turned around from the display of jewelry, just to see Kazuha standing next to this girl, who was holding his arm.

• Kazuha pulled him arm out of the girl's hand and glanced at you, noticing your bitter expression.

Summary: Your relationship is on the edge right now. Will you be able to let go or pull yourself up?

a/n: I was gonna make both endings but I couldn’t find the time to😭

Lately, Kazuha has been… distant. It was very unusual, because obviously, you’re his lover. Although he was distant before the relationship, he’s never been distant during the relationship.

You made up your mind. You were going to court him at the place where Kazuha confessed to you. The very thought made you nervous, but you were determined to find out.

You were determined.

Were.

“I apologize with all my heart, but my feelings discrete with yours.” The samurai said, as if it was a poem.

An overwhelming feeling washed over you, but you pushed away your feelings carelessly. “Oh…” You muttered. “That’s… That's completely fine, Kazuha.”

A tear escaped your left eye, but you wiped it away. “You could’ve just told me honestly. Though, I should’ve taken the hint.”

Kazuha looked at you with a hand on his heart. “I just feel like an intimate relationship is not the best for me at the moment.” He stated, a genuine look lingering his eyes. “But I do hope that we can still have contact.”

You shook your head. “No, no. It’s fine. Please don’t.” You assure him.

But when he sent a letter to you a few days later of his travels, he didn't get a reply back. He found it odd at first, but...

Why didn't he feel anything?

Albedo had told you to come up Dragonspine today. It was unusual, as Sucrose was helping him today and he'd call you over if she wasn't available.

It's not a lie that he's been odd lately. It's like he forgot about you and would often wave when you pass by. He'd usually give you a peck or two on your cheek and nose, but...

When you did arrive, you didn't think that it was this.

"I often hear that romantic relationships are supposed to get... intimate, but I don't that's the case for us, Y/n." Albedo stated, crossing his arms.

Your mouth slightly opened in shock, but you closed it. Albedo thought that you'd be 'sad' but instead, you gave him a smile. It was the smile that showed that you were holding in something.

"I didn't expect this, but..." You paused for a mere second. "It's absolutely fine. I've noticed your lack of affection, even when we pass by on the streets of Mondstadt."

Albedo heard from numerous love stories that there would be crying of a broken heart, but this wasn't the case. "So you've noticed... I guess this is the compromise of our relationship."

"If there isn't anything else, then I'll be leaving." You said, turning away. "I knew relationships weren't your thing, but I still wanted to give it a chance."

With that, you left. After you got out of view of Albedo's campsite, you felt that feeling in your nose, as if you were going to cry. You stopped in the snow, trying to hold it in.

But you couldn't. The snow froze your tears.

The calming winds you felt on top of Mt. Tianheng soothed your mind. This place was where you spent the majority of your day, meditating to keep your mind calm. You also got a good view of Liyue Harbor. Sometimes after meditating you'd visit Madam Ping, along with Yanfei since she has to watch over her.

Standing up, you opened your eyes to the glowing lights of the Harbor. You could see over the Sea of Clouds to Guyun Stone Forest, along with Beidou's ship.

Then you headed off to Wangshu Inn.

Along the way, you picked up some Qingxin flowers for him. It wasn't the first time you had gifted him some flowers. When you arrived, he wasn't there. Usually, he'd show up, give an unintentionally cold response before thanking you, then leave.

"Xiao?"

No response.

"Hm…" You put your fingers on your chin, thinking of what he could be busy doing. If you called out his name he'd be here within a second. "Maybe I should just… leave them here for him when he comes."

As you walked inside, you heard a shifting noise from where you just were. You quickly walked up the stairs to see that specific figure that was on your mind. It was Xiao.

"I apologize for responding late. I was thinking about something."

He picked up the flowers from the balcony where they were set. Behind him, he heard your footsteps approaching him with such carefulness.

When you approached him more closely, you went beside him near the balcony. His arm was slightly shaking; and along with that, you can sense an uneasy feeling within him. You knew something happened with him.

"Are you okay? You're shaking." You pointed your finger towards his tattoed arm, making him turn his attention from the flowers to your finger.

He shook his head. "I'm fine, what are you walking about? It's nothing," Xiao dismissed your worry. An unfamiliar feeling in his chest contradicted that statement.

Xiao was about to teleport to Verr so she could put the flowers in his vase of flowers he had. All the flowers were from you, of course. How often does a vigilant being get the free time to admire flowers?

His back faced you as he examined the set of flowers. "You're lying, Adeptus Xiao."

"What do you mean I'm lying," Xiao scoffed. "I'm perfectly fine. It's nothing you should worry about."

As you exhaled, you grabbed his wrist. Unknowingly to you, it nearly made him malfunction out of surprise. "What're you--"

"Xiao, you were going to the Chasm. This is the first time I've seen you since you went. What happened there? You can tell me."

You could visibly see that he thought about it for a second before he pulled his wrist away. "Don't you ever take a hint? Nothing happened," he took a step away before disappearing.

As you saw the dark particles fade away, you started to doubt the trust you had with each other. You wondered if he even trusted you in the first place, which was centuries ago.

He didn't even thank you for the flowers this time.

Many thoughts were going through your head as you walked outside the Inn. Perhaps you were overreacting maybe.

In the distance, you see two figures, one tiny being floating next to the other. Traveler and Paimon were headed this way for reasons you didn't know.

Paimon gasped at the sight of you. "Oh! Traveler, look! It's [Name] headed this way!" Her eyes squinted to look at your expression before saying, "But… they seem a bit down. They usually have a smile on their face!"

As the two approached, you met them halfway.

"Hello, Traveler and Paimon," you greeted them with a sincere tone in your voice. "Are you both doing well?"

The traveler nodded as the floating girl 'hopped' in the air. "Yeah! A lot of things happened, but we're glad that it ended okay in the end. So [Name], are you doing okay?"

You looked up at her with a surprised look on your face. "Huh? Yeah, I'm doing fine. Why do you ask?"

Pretty lies.

"You just came from Wangshu Inn, right?" the traveler asked you with their fingers holding their chin. You nodded. "Did you see Xiao in there?"

Your eyelids closed as your head looked down at the ground below you. "Yes. I sensed an uneasy feeling within him, though. I tried to get it out of him, reassuring him; but I got nothing. I think I'll let him be until we meet sometime in the future."

Paimon and Traveler looked at each other, knowing exactly what was bothering him. Even after the talk the three of them had, Xiao was still a bit on edge. They could both see the concern you had for the Yaksha, which was rejected by said Yaksha.

"Hm… Traveler, do you want to try and talk to him? Hopefully, we can get Xiao to open up a little to them, don't you think?" Paimon put her hands behind her back.

They nodded. "Yeah. We can go try and see what's going on with him."

A small smile graced your lips in gratitude for the young traveler. "If it's no trouble, of course. I'll be going back to my abode, which I'm sure you know where it is. I look forward to seeing you again."

As the two travelers made their way into Wangshu Inn, they spotted Xiao on the balcony, looking out to the night sky. There was a period of silence between the three beings before the Traveler stepped up.

"Are you still on edge a bit?" they asked before they stepped closer to him. "[Name]'s worried about you."

Xiao let out a sigh of disappointment, "I know. I didn't even get to say a thank you to them." He turned around to face the Traveler, "They give me flowers occasionally, but this time, I didn't even thank them. It was because they wanted to know what happened at the Chasm that I forgot."

"'There will always be people who will be willing to stay by your side.' [Name] is willing to stay by your side. Both of you are adept, and as long as you both live, you'll always have each other!" Paimon pointed towards the Lisha Region with a determined expression, "They're heading to their abode, Xiao! In the Lisha region!"

Xiao naturally put his hand on his chest, feeling his heart pounding a bit faster but paid no attention to it. "What are you getting at here?"

Paimon stomped on the air, "Paimon means that you need to go and confess! Right now! We both see how you two glance at each other, so Paimon wants you two to--"

"Okay."

With nothing else to say, Xiao turned around and disappeared. The Traveler sighed, unsure of whether Paimon blew it or nailed it.

Meanwhile, you already made it to your abode. Thanks to your Adepti abilities, you were able to make it back to your abode by jumping along and over the mountains. Now here you are meditating in a field of flowers you made.

Thankfully, you didn't have to deal with anybody making it up to your abode. It takes a lot of willpower to be able to make it up the mountain, as there were some booby-traps set on the trail.

Sitting in a field of bloomed flowers. This reminded you of the first time you met the Traveler as they showed up to report Rex Lapis's death.

All you could hear was the gentle breeze of the wind, blowing your hair. The rustling of the trees made your mind at peace, forgetting your worries.

Then you felt a presence near you. It was sudden, and you know only one person who could have such swift movements like that. Opening your eyes, a figure appeared in your line of sight. The both of you were so quiet that nature was the only thing you could hear.

"I apologize for interrupting your meditation session, Adeptus [Name]. I plan to make it up to you" was the first thing Xiao said as if you cared about formalities between the two of you.

You stood up from the flowers, making your way towards Xiao. His eyes watched as you calmly walked towards him. "No need for formalities Xiao," you say with a smile. "Well, what business does the ever-so Vigilant Yaksha have at my abode?"

Xiao looked away for a second at the ground below him before looking back at you. "I've learned important things that I never thought about. Things about myself, about… life in general."

Tilting your head, your curiosity peaked as you listened to him speak. "I always thought that dying for the sake of others was my destiny as a Yaksha. Instead, that was just my own form of insanity that I grew up with. Traveler and I had an interesting talk, and they said that there was always going to be a person who is willing to stay by my side. Everything that happened back there had an impact on my mindset I think."

He walked towards the field of flowers, crossing his arms as you joined his side. "I did self-sacrifice. I have a feeling that… Rex Lapis had saved me from such fate."

"He knew it wasn't your time yet," you said almost immediately. "--and I agree."

Xiao glanced over at you before lowering his eyelids. "Maybe they were implying something…"

"Huh?"

"'The person willing to stay by my side.' That title fits you perfectly, [Name]."

With your face getting warmer by the second, you held a hand towards your cheek. If this is what you think it is, then…

You turned towards Xiao and Xiao turned towards you. "Thank you for the flowers again. Those flowers… remind me of you every time I see them," he said with a blush covering his cheeks and nose. "This feeling must be what mortals feel with a special person…"

His hand moved towards his chest, wanting to clutch his heart with all his might. Xiao took a deep breath before putting his hand down by his side. "I'm sorry I worried you. I never really tell you about my dreams often, do I?"

Shaking your head, you felt the warm feeling still wandering over your body. "No, you don't…"

Xiao attempted to cover his blushing face with his hand, stuttering a bit while thinking of what to say next. You both were a flustered mess at that moment.

"Xiao? Are you doing alright? You're getting a bit… red."

"I-I'm-- I'm fine! I'm just… thinking."

He took a deep breath in and out before looking you in the eyes.

"My dream is to wear my mask and dance. Not to conquer demons, but to listen to a flute in a sea of flowers… with you."

The rest of the night was spent dancing with your dear Yaksha. All your duties and worries washed away from your mind as all you could think about…

…was Xiao.

it’s simple and effective

you know who he means and he can see the smile on your face when he calls you by this nickname

at the start of your relationship, he thought it wasn’t special enough

so he looked for other names and ‘Darling’ was just something he called you until he found the perfect nickname

but it grew on him and he started comparing everything he thought of with the reaction you had when he calls you darling

none of the other options satisfied him and he stayed with the simple nickname

KAEYA

Kaeya likes calling you snowflake or little snowflake

he knows he isn’t the most gentle person while you are, at least to him, calmness and gentleness in person

so compared to the storm he is himself, you are just a little snowflake, still cold and able to harm others and defend yourself, but not doing much unless you want to

he also thinks you’re incredibly beautiful, like the first snow of the year

you help calm him down no matter what

of course, he also does it to tease you, knowing it’ll fluster you when he calls you his snowflake while he has a hand under your chin to make you look at him

DILUC

Diluc calls you my love

he makes sure to include the ‘my’ every time

it’s not only because he’s a little bit possessive

he just likes reassuring himself that you’re really with him

he has a little smile on his face everytime you look up when he calls out the nickname

especially if it happens when you’re out and you only look up when he says it

XIAO

He calls you his crystalfly

he thinks they're beautiful and magnificent creatures and he thinks the same of you

so it’s only fitting in his mind

he dislikes all of the cliché names people use for their partners simply to have a nickname

So he just called you by your name until he came up with the crystalfly

it holds a special meaning to both of you because he gifted you some crystalflies for your birthday and compared you to the little creatures

after tha, he started calling you his crystalfly more often and now, although he still likes calling you by your name sometimes, he mostly calls you crystalfly

An idea I just had for a *possible* Xiao series

So basically reader is an Adeptus and all that contract stuff. Participated in the Archon War and yk all that historic stuff. during the archon war, the reader has to take action (with other adepti and yakshas) against a god that has gone rogue after defeat.

The reader gets cursed with the god's corruption and has to control the spread on their body for the next thousands of years. (Kind of like Xiao's situation but kind of not?) If they try to over-exert their power, their adeptal energy's limits will be more reduced until the only thing they could do was use the curse's power.

(does that make sense--)

Xiao x Apologetic! Reader

Xiao admired you for many things, but there was something about you that completely confused him. You never called for him, even when you needed him.

There were many times where he found you needing help on pure chance. One time you were cornered by bandits and he only saved you because he walking that path to get to Wangshu Inn.

After he took care of the bandits, he decided to walk you to the inn. Said something about “not trusting your judgement skills.” He asked you about why he wasn’t called when you were in danger.

When you told him that you felt guilty, he let out a small sigh. When he saw your face change to that of embarrassment he told you that he wasn’t upset with you, he just didn’t want you to get hurt over being too shy.

Even after that you rarely call him. And when you do, it’s followed by a flurry of apologies and you telling him not to worry about yourself. I thought we went over this.

He always helps you with anything you ask, while telling you there’s no reason to apologize. From shopping advice to holding your groceries, Xiao will never complain to help you.

The townspeople have noticed how Xiao has a small smile on his face when walking slightly behind you, and his usual brooding demeanor is reduced to nothing but an occasional snarky comment.

“Please don’t apologize for making me do my job. If I weren’t there, I don’t even want to imagine the amount of trouble you could’ve put yourself in.”

He whispers how much he loves you over and over again. And even after the song ends, he’s still standing there. He holds you into his arms.

Albedo, who is silently praying this moment with you could last forever.

Ayato, who just arrived home from a long day. He could hear you in the kitchen, humming to a song playing from your phone. He made his way over to find you preparing dinner, moving around gracefully to the sound of the music.

Ayato encircles his arms around your waist while your whisking a bowl of something. He mutters a hello before absorbing your warmth. He stays like that for a little before you smile.

He watches as you take him to the center of the kitchen, wrapping your arms around him. He does the same and pulls you close, swaying away to the music with you.

Ayato loves you so much, he never wants to let you go. He wants so much out of life with you. Small moments as such is what makes being with you everything so magical.

Childe stood up from the bed randomly one day. You put your book down and give him a weird look while he grabs his phone happily. Soon, a song from your childhood is playing and he offers you his hand.

He places your hands on him as if you were royalty. The two of you begin ballroom dancing around the room while he purposefully steps on your feet to get you laughing.

Childe loves your voice and laugh so much. He would make any sacrifice to hear it. This moment with you is so special to him even thought it’s only a random day of the week.

Childe, who will cherish every day of the week he gets with you as his partner.

Diluc, who holds the door open for you while you walk back inside the house. Noise plays from inside; the sound of the radio left on by you both on accident.

He immediately hears your mutually favourite song play next on the sterio, making him light up. He quickly grabs your wrist, pulling you back to him.

Diluc positions you on top of his feet while he takes the lead. He leads you in a simple two person dance, one that fits with the song. When you make a joke about how good of a dancer he is, he only goes red at your words.

He continues dancing with you until the song finished. Even then, he plays it again on his phone just to keep dancing with you. He could care less about the groceries that needed to be put away. You and this moment were much more important.

Diluc, who will do everything to make sure you stay the most important thing in his life.

𝗞𝗮𝗲𝘆𝗮; Just the Two of Us - Grover Washington

Kaeya, who wanted nothing more all day than to come home to you. He made no detours on his way home, except for maybe one little one to surprise you with flowers. Other than that, he rushes home to spend time with his beloved.

Once he arrived, he noticed you weren't anywhere inside the home. He searched everywhere for you, until hearing soft music playing from the backyard patio. He quickly gets out there after setting down the flowers and greets you with a kiss to the cheek.

Kaeya smiled when he heard a familiar tune from the music source, beckoning you to dance with him. The two of you get into position and begin swaying around the porch to the music.

He's so lost in how well you fit with him. The two of you go hand-in-hand, swaying perfectly together. He can spin you, sway with you, and glide with you without a single care in the world.

Kaeya, who hopes you take away all his cares in the world for as long as you both shall live.

𝗞𝗮𝘇𝘂𝗵𝗮; As the World Caves in - Matt Maltese

Kazuha, who realized that you were out of groceries. Despite it being quite late at night and raining, the two of you were hungry. A small trip to the market wouldn't hurt anyone, so you packed up your essentials and went over to the nearest one.

Once you grabbed all your groceries and rushed to the car, you both were soaking wet and laughing. Hair was fallen over faces, bags were soaked, yet neither of you gave two damns about it. And once the car started you both heard your favourite song that just made you want to get up and slow dance.

So that's what you did. Kazuha turned up the radio and stepped out of the car, asking you to dance with him. You smiled and said yes, and the two of you began dancing and swaying to the music in the rain.

Kazuha couldn't care less about the weird stares of the few employees giving you two weird stares. He only cared for you and your bright smile at the moment. You truly made him happy, and he does the same for you.

Kazuha, whose only wish is to provide you happiness for however long he can.

Tohma, who is almost finished cleaning up the house with you. The two of you have been listening to the radio since you started, it playing throughout the relatively small household. He adored cleaning up with you, despite it not being as romantic as others would consider it to be.

Soon enough, all that was left was sweeping up the kitchen floor. Tohma began doing that while you prepared something for dinner. The radio continued to play, the next song being one that you and Tohma recognize immediately.

He asks you to dance with him, setting his broom aside and grabbing your arm. He snakes his hands and you and sways to the music, beckoning for you to follow his lead. You do just that, swaying in rythm with the music.

These are the moments Tohma appreciates greatly. An intimate gesture so small on a normally irrelevant blossoms so greatly in his chest. He wants these to happen so often that they never become irrelevant days again.

Tohma, who is fighting to ensure that he can share so many relevant days with you forever.

Xiao, who is sitting with you in your living room. He's quiet as you're reading a book, though he is playing with the one hand of yours he has in his lap. The music from your phone is playing quietly in the background.

He has thoughts swirling around his head, but he keeps quiet about them. Even though he keeps quiet, you glance at him and notice the concerned expression he's thinking on. You get an idea, gently grabbing your phone and playing a song you both are familiar with.

You grab his hand in yours and stand, taking him with you. You move his arms to wrap around you and wrap yours around his. You quietly tell him to follow your lead, slowly sway to the music.

He's shocked at your gesture, but is enjoying it so thoroughly. He's super soft with it, and listens to your quiet humming to the song. He hears small words of affirmation, and it helps him relax and wash away any worrisome thought he was thinking earlier in the quiet atmosphere.

Xiao, who wants you around forever to get rid of any negative or intrusive thought he could possibly have.

𝗭𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶; Two Slow Dancers - Mitski

Zhongli, who is listening to the gentle hum you are humming while finishing up some paperwork. He recognizes the song, it being one of your favourite songs to listen to. Over time, he grew a major liking to it as well.

You eventually finished the song, and he smiled gracefully. He stood and went to the record player in the room, finding the album and playing it. He fast-forwarded to the song in question, all while you gave him a confused look.

Zhongli found it, and turned with an offered hand. Once you take it, he pulls you in as the two of you ballroom dance around the study. He is careful in where he guides you, moving in circles with twists and twirls.

He loves watching your smile at his moves. He will do a lot to see you smile so brightly and so happily. He whispers how amazing and incredible you are, with some 'i love you's' in between. Just being with you in such a vulnerable and intimate moment is something he would never trade for the world.

Zhongli, who prays to the other archons that he can spend every minute of every day with you for the rest of your lives.
