Furthermore about that Nino and parents post: Thomas Astruc mentioned via his Twitter some time ago that Nino’s hat has something to do with an older brother which is why he was so upset at losing it in Chameleon (whether or not that is still a thing, I don’t know, but I digress), so not only would Adrien and Nino have trouble with their parent(s) in common, but also a missing/dead family member.

Yesssss! I hope that's an actual thing, it'd add some more depth to Nino, something to dig into, and yeah I love the idea of Adrien and Nino being able to relate to each other on that front!

Missing in Action: Ivan’s, Nathaniel’s, Nino’s, Rose’s, and Kim’s parents. Probably because they don’t have models yet.

watching illusion again, i’m struck by nino’s speech about parents, where he insists that all parents are quick to anger for no reason. this is pretty consistent with his characterization in the bubbler and attitude towards gabriel in general, but the fact that he considers all parents to be the same way… nino, bud, is everything okay at home?

personally i don't think that *anon parallel was cute.

they had to have the arab kid be the one radicalized online huh? when he has legit grievances about why his sister gets to be a child soldier in a war he doesn't exactly understand and his dad just shuts him down and tells him to take it? (doesn't help that like. jalil really seems to be emotionally neglected to hell and back even back to s1 ngl. alix for sure seems to be the golden child)

it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth when they won't even let parisian hijabis be background characters. meanwhile in the same episode we see this dumb shit done to jalil marinette gets to meet a catholic saint in the flesh. cute.
