"We will surely test you with fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives, and fruits. Give good tidings to the patient." (2:155)
During tonight's taraweeh, this verse touched my heart. This immediately brought to mind the challenges faced by the people of Gaza. Despite enduring tests in various forms, their unwavering faith remains a source of strength. It makes me contemplate how I might respond in similar circumstances.
In these moments, we realize that Allah grants the toughest battles to His strongest soldiers. Their endurance becomes a beacon, prompting us to reflect on our own resilience and patience during times of uncertainty. It's a testament to the human spirit, finding strength in faith amid trials.

If you refrain from speaking out against injustice as a human, calling yourself human becomes a cause for shame.
According to an authentic hadith, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) advised:
“Whoever among you sees an evil action, let him change it with his hand [by taking action]; if he cannot, then with his tongue [by speaking out]; and if he cannot, then with his heart [by at least hating it and believing that it is wrong], and that is the weakest of faith.”
- Narrated by Saheeh Muslim
This hadith emphasizes the importance of addressing injustice in various ways. In light of this hadith, if you find it impossible to directly stop the injustice, it is imperative to speak against it. Your vocal opposition to wrongdoing contributes to a culture that rejects silence in the face of injustice.
Communicating your stance on these matters is essential; people should be aware that you firmly stand against injustice and will not lend support to such actions. This not only upholds your integrity but also plays a role in shaping a society that values justice and condemns oppression.

In Gaza, hearts resilient beat,
Amidst turmoil, on every street,
Their courage shines in darkest nights,
Faith’s glow amid the endless fights.
In sands where echoes strife’s cruel sound,
Hope whispers through each shattered mound.
Families torn, yet souls stand tall,
A testament to wills that never fall.
They mourn the losses, carry on,
Underneath the unforgiving dawn.
Each tear that falls, a story told,
Of strength and dreams that won’t grow old.
Their spirits, boundless as the sea,
Embrace the hope that’s meant to be.
Gaza’s tale, a resilient song,
In hardships, they remain strong.
In Gaza’s heart, resilience thrives,
A beacon through the toughest lives.
In their struggle, lessons found,
In unity, in faith, profound.
Gaza, where courage finds its voice,
In every heart, a steadfast choice.
Amidst the chaos, pain, and scars,
Their spirits soar above the stars.

The faith and resilience that the people of Gaza show is incredible. When I see a father holding his child’s limbs and still not questioning the decree of Allah, or people saying goodbye to their loved ones after losing everything and saying, “We leave you in the hands of Allah,” it really hits home how powerful faith can be.
This serves as a reminder that, no matter what life throws at us, faith becomes the guiding light. Believing in a brighter future beyond this life and having trust in justice, they hold a steadfast faith in Allah, firmly believing that He will always look after everything.
The people of Gaza have completely changed the way I see things. They’ve taught me that all the stuff we have in this world doesn’t last forever. What truly matters is having faith. Even when they’ve lost everything, they don’t lose hope in Allah’s mercy. They hold on to their belief, and that’s something truly inspiring. It’s like they’re showing us that even in tough times, faith can help us stand strong.

"It is not the eyes that are blind, but the hearts."
(Qur'an 22:46)
At first glance, this verse appears to speak to a profound truth about our perception, reminding us that true sight isn't solely reliant on what our eyes behold but on the clarity of our hearts and minds.
Life, like a crystal-clear mirror, reflects back lessons, truths, and insights for us to grasp. Yet, despite this, many find themselves standing on the wrong side, unable to comprehend the reflections.
Picture a person gazing at a mirror but unable to recognize their own reflection. Similarly, life offers reflections of truth and wisdom, yet without the clarity of an open heart and an inquisitive mind, these reflections remain unseen. It's not the fault of the mirror; it's the state of the observer.
The verse serves as a guiding light, inviting us to perceive beyond the surface, to embrace the teachings that life offers us.

A psychologist wrote in a book, "Even if you are an angel, there will be people who will be disturbed by the sound of your wings." – He used this phrase to make clear that other people's perceptions and emotions have nothing to do with you. The thoughts of others do not define your worth. You will meet many people who will try to project their own insecurities onto you and there is a risk that you will accept the image of others. To protect yourself, you must internalize that others don't even have the ability to define you. They are unable to see inside you. And their perception of you is nothing but a sign of their own qualities. Even if you are good, there will always be people who say otherwise; but you are not a reflection of others.

When the wind begins to whistle, and stray papers fly by
When heavy clouds start gathering, darkening your day’s sky
Behold a brewing storm, take shelter in a warm embrace
Watch the raindrops slide in harmony, through the window of a safe place
We weather the storm together, observe the lightning and thunder
No storm lasts forever, it ends and we bask in the sunshine.
