I like the yoga teachers who say ‘listen to me or don’t,’ as this should be implicit in everything. A parking lot that’s full of arrows, a uniform of promises my body can’t keep.

The flames remember everything
I told the world of her and they have made it so that I cannot forget her. These reminders are as napalm rain, a cloud of intermittent scorching, unanticipatable grief.

#‎WorldinPoetry‬ In her poem "Mi Amigo El Abusador", Dominican poet Marleny Luna talks about the people who surround abusers - their friends, family, strangers - and she does so with the fires of a thousand suns. We hope you feel this as much as we do!
Is there activism in your poetry or the poetry you enjoy? If so, what are you an activist for? We'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments section below! Also, give some love and subscriptions to Marleny Luna on her Youtube channel!

What are some practices from your cultural heritage that you like to keep alive? Leave them in the comments below! And give some love to the (now graduated) Santa Fe Indian School Spoken Word Program for introducing the medium to students whose voices needed to be heard! Who knows - it might inspire some folks to bring the club back!

#‎WorldinPoetry‬ In this spin on the classic "poem about poetry" poem, Victoria Lim of Singapore's Sekaliwags asks us all, poets and audience alike, why poetry? Enjoy the questioning and the encouragement that are rife in "What It Does"!
So we turn the question to you: why poetry? We want to know! And be sure to give love and likes to the Sekaliwags!
