Class A, Class B, the UA Big 3, the teachers, the pro-heroes, the LoV, the prisoners, hell, even the content on Shigaraki is pretty sparse considering he's here.

It's an EXACT repeat of the Nagant thing. Powerful female character hyped up, dropped out of nowhere, gets some patchy backstory trying to flimsily connect it to the world, hero/villain MC wins because duh, we know they have to and we just wasted another 4 chapters with nothing.

There is no stakes or emotions, because we are not invested in these characters, and very little tension, because we know Deku/Tomura can't lose.

So it serves for nothing than demonstrate the broken power-scale that makes everyone else look insignificant / irrelevant before they even got a moment to shine.

Where is Bakugou's 4-chapter solo villain fight? Where is Shouto's?

I'd have more patience for this shit if I had an ounce of faith left they'd be done justice at some point.

But HK wants to wrap it up in 30 chapters and we are just wasting time with a naked cloud woman.

I honestly do not even know what I just read and saw with this latest chapter. Even the previous chapter was just...

We went from quirks being a physical extension of you body to now being some ominous anti-laws of physics shenanigan's.

I literally cant with this scene here. What the actual hell?!

Star and Stripes came out of nowhere and thats a problem im seeing in general. Heroes and villain's with convenient quirks are appearing for the sake of fitting whatever the situation is at the time and then get boddied.

They don't progress the plot.

Also I'm tried of seeing him slip in his fetishes like quentin tarantino

In General: Busty muscular women

Really, Star and Stripes is this high class, high security hero and shigaraki just met her and figured out her quirk just like that? To me, that takes away from the story when the author basically breaks down every single detail with expositions.

Shigaraki is viewed as a global threat and AFO had connections in other countries. It would have been nice if we had earlier mentions and even some panels showcasing the world outside of Japan so that way the pieces would fall better when introducing foreign heros.

At this point, BnhA is like the plot of the musical cats. There really is no plot. Every new scene is just a character introduction and profile of their ability and who they are. It feels as if he is writing as he goes.

I really don't know whos story this is anymore.

Shigaraki has transformed into something completely inhuman (even in this world). He is in destructible. We have no idea how many quirks AFO is able to keep and what they all do. Every attack on him that he survives that could literally cause a global extinction is protected by that plot armor.

AFO goals and actions just seem completely out of pocket at this point (hes beyond being human too). Hes been alive for a long ass time but we dont know how. All we know is that he wants OFA, unspecified world domination, and its trying to pull and Orochimaru on Shigaraki.

Everything (the pacing, the characters) is just off. I thought it was going to be some type of break between the war arc to see more character development the class and Midoriya.

The war arc took almost a year to end in real time. After the end of the war arc and with everything that happened, we jump right into the prison break. Then the next chapter was midoriya dropping out of school and become a vigilante for 3 weeks and doing a 180 on his character. Then after that, we learn that we only have 3 days before Shigaraki goes plus ulta and destroys the world.

I'm just following this manga now to see how it ends. The way I feel now is exactly how I feel after the Pain arc from Naruto.

One of the predictions I’m seeing going around is Shigaraki using the quirk to break his possession himself but idk that feels too much into “Shigaraki as the final boss” territory and idk how that would work plot/saving wise

Actually it’s crazy how different the quality in this chapter is from the quality of the last chapter, and the chapters themselves are not even THAT different.

Both chapters were just battle scenes. But the difference is that last chapter we learned something new and got new information regarding the plot, and development on a big conflict in the story.

We literally learned nothing this week and I think that’s what’s so frustrating about all of this and why almost nobody, on either side of the fandom is particularly thrilled with this chapter.

BNHA 331 - Thoughts

So the manga I signed up for was about Deku going to this school full of kids with normal superpowers like having a tail or explosions or super-strength or a demon-siamese twin, with stuff like dorm room competitions and dance performances, and sometimes getting caught up in villain fights. 

I have no idea wtf this thing is where the fate of the world is suddenly riding on “Kathy” from the US

whose (very magical) power’s limits are explained as such:

1. She can do literally anything except harm ShigarAFO in any way

2. What she does doesn’t have to make sense as long as it manifests some weird fetish of the mangaka. 

Hence: Giant Naked Aura Woman who uses fighter-plane lasers to make an oversized Light-Saber to pin Shigaraki (I’m not kink-shaming, but that is kind of very… specific??)

Horikoshi in this chapter: Is this even a quirk? …. probably not. 

Also Horikishi in this chapter: Did I break my own world-building? Probably… but (1) I don’t give a fuck   (2) look at them giant titties…

Same, I thought of this too when Shigaraki first woke up during the war arc.

Tetsuo and Shigaraki parallel (?)

I feel like the author of bnha trying to make Shigaraki in the same level of power as Tetsuo from Akira, considering there are some references like the panel of Shigaraki's damaged hand while Tetsuo lost his whole arm, the ripped cape (symbolic to the king of destruction), standing tall alone in a wasteland they have caused, fully enjoy the power they have...est. Now in ch.331 I see another reference of Shigaraki fighting against the US army who come to his doorstep, which is something Tetsuo single-handedly did as well when he defeated the US army who come to kill him and throw the army's satellite laser weapon onto the aircraft carrier where the leader was.

Last week with Star and Stripes appeared, the first thought in my head was "I hope shes not brought in so AFO can steal her quick"

and here we are with AFO planning to steal her quirk and Shigaraki waiting for her in the sky.

After Lady Nagnant, I really, really, really, really, really hope that she doesnt get beat the fuck up, killed, or have her quirk stolen.

Or even here capabilities overshadowed by being "rescued" from the male heroes.

I think next weeks battle is going to be in the sky involving Endeavor, Hawks, Star and Stripe and Shigaraki
