A/N: Yay my first actual story! I have been wanting to publish this, I just didn’t know where to start! I really hope you enjoy :))

༻Prologue: The Ominous Welcome༺

The wind gushed in your ears as you felt the breeze pass through your scalp..

Am I falling?

You had that one moment of thought before thick red grass covered your vision and the thick sensation impact started a burning sensation from all around your body as you began to cough, struggling to grasp air , turning to your back..you laid on the grassy ground motionless

Questions swirled your head as you stared up to the red sky. Your mind was loud only finding relief when listening to the sound of the dry breeze that would pass and the ruffles of dead’s leafs that would kick up off the ground and move with the drift, slowly you sat up as you finally looked around at your surroundings.

You were in a what look to be a forest or swap of some type, the way the trees laid sprawled and sort of visible dirt road with the tracks of who walked through the area

Standing up, and brushing yourself off you noticed the attire you were wearing: a ruffled black skirt with a slight hole in the hem towards the bottom with a neutral color off the shoulders sweater.

Your walk is somewhat shaky when making your way slowly to a nearby pond, getting close to the what seemed to be swampy water you saw a reflection..

“WHO IS THAT!?!!” panickingly moving away from the water with look of bewilderment written all over your face,

Creeping back to the water and poking your head slowly into frame and seeing the reflection mimic your actions

“That’s ME?!” You exclaimed as you got close to it raising a hand slowly you touch your face as your reflection mimic your actions

“I feel so different..” You said gently grabbing on your face and moving it side to side, looking at your finer and sharper features.You were on earth before this, you could’ve sworn you were a human but now you're a creature of some sort.

Your regular teeth were replaced with pointy sharp teeth that looked like it could tear through any type of texture, your once bright (e/c) was replaced with a orangey green color, your pupils change dramatically to now being diagonal slits, your once (s/t) was now a pale bluish purple color, it resembled the same type of color as if you were suffocating and your hair stay relatively the same the only difference is it got a bit long, natural if went to your (h/t) but now it went all the way to your upper back past your shoulders

Without a moment of hesitation you shot yourself away from the pond breathing in a heavy breathe as you huffed out, “Okay this is nothing I can’t get use too” You said to yourself as you were mentally panicking holding your hands together in-front of you, you slightly shake as you began walking following the dirt road

Moments pass before you hit a clearing, you could hear now in the distances the bustling sound of a city or hopeful people which was a good sign, you continued following the direction of noise

“Wow..” You breathed out as you pushed past the big red bushes that separated the swamp from the city. You took in the site of where you were at a bustling big city, as you gawked with no thought, you were standing on a busy sidewalk taking in the views before being stumbling with your steps ‘did i just get pushed?’ you question in your head before hearing out loud a starkly comment

“Move your ass. We are trying to walk, you stupid bitch!” You immediately took a double take, cracking your head to the person that shoved you as you gave the look of displeasure before scoffing and rolling your eyes, you follow the sidewalk

Your lost in your own mind as you took everything in the billboards, the streets building, the cars! Practically everything, you walked aimlessly before your eyes caught the sight of a big building with lights emitting off of it as the words read in bold

“NEXT EXTERMINATION DAY

80 DAYS”

You raised your eyebrow ‘extermination day?’ you questioned out as you began to walk past the building

Hours felt like they passed by in minutes and your aching legs told you to stop and rest up for a second. Not having much of a choice you look at the building that was close to you before shrugging your shoulders

‘This will be good enough’ You thought as you walk into the bar the first thing you heard was the sound of steady jazz playing as their was chatter but not to overly loud, you looked around before you made your way to the bar counter taking a seat at a empty spot next to some strangers that you didn’t pay mind too. Looking around you noticed all the different types of creatures you were around, having a puzzled look written on your face your trance was broke with a stern

“Hey, you ordering’ or are you just going to sit” A ruffy voice bartender said, your eyes meant yellow eyes with the puilps being slits that momentarily freaking you out, before getting a better look. The person or in now this case the cat bartender, had many feline features you chalk up looking at the face, he look like a common house cat with a bow and black top hat

You shook your head as you heard him say with annoyance “Well..”

“No, no. I don’t have money..” Your voice was quiet and under your breath if it wasn’t for his cat ears the bartender would’ve never heard you,

“So you just came here to seat?” He question with a dead tone as his eyebrows ruffle together the look of confusion was evident on his face before he roll his eyes and grimace something under his breath

Assuming that was your cue to leave, you began to raise from your cushion seat only to have a short glass cup be placed down in-front of you making you look down at the drink, then the cat bartender, shaking your head you move the drink away from you politely

“I can’t pay for it” You said as the cup was moved back to infront of you as the bartender stood semi in-front of you as he cleaned out a wet glass cup with a red rag

“Don’t worry about it. It’s on the house” He said as he looked at your figure standing half way up as you nervously chuckle a bit before sitting down

“Huskier” He said as he watched you eye the drink before lifting it and taking a sip of it, you didn’t taste alcohol in fact you actually just taste.. “Is this juice?” You questioned before going in for another sip pointing to the drink, as you place the cup down on the wooden bar counter “Oh! I am also y/n” you spouted out with a smile displaying your sharp teeth as the bartender look at you before looking away once you seen his eyes drift to your sharp teeth making you immediately stop smiling and going to a close grin, he nodded his head putting down the now dry glass cup

“It is.” He said kinda clearing his throat “Thought you can use it.” He said, focusing on grabbing the bottles he needs before starting up the conversation again catching your attention immediately, “You're new around here aren’t you?” He said as he began to work on what you assume to be a drink, adding stuff to a metal cup before putting a top on it and shaking it up and down close to his body

Watching his moves with curiosity written in your eyes you answer

“I am! I actually just got here”

“I see..” He said before pausing and then continuing “Well best not to go around telling other sinners that..easily” He said with a dry chuckle as he poured out a drink from the cup he was previously shaking “They’ll eat you alive, of course in a literal sense.” with a sly smirk coming to his face as he look over too you

Confusion plagued your face, “They'll eat me?” You repeat back to him using his own words with a tone laced with confusion

“You're in hell.”

EXTRA!!EXTRA!!

Husk: So, you’re a liquor kind of gal, eh? *slides a shot across the bar*

Y/N: Um, well, I’ve had a few drinks as a human, but never something as hardcore as a straight shot…

Husk: Ah, a virgin liver!*dry laughs* Well! Here’s your initiation. Bottoms up~!

[Later, on the dance floor]

Drunk Y/N: Husk!! Look at meee! Do you see me meow~?! *slurs with a grin and giggling uncontrollably*

Husk: *facepalms* Oh, for fuck sake…
