Do you ever sit and think about how Xiao promised to essentially be Lumine's executioner. Do you ever think about how he said he'd kill for her if she wished so. Do you ever think about how Xiao spent thousands of years participating in bloodshed and massacre and thinks that it's all he was meant to be. BUT ALSO! Do you ever think about how Lumine NEVER calls for Xiao to fight for her? Do you ever think about how she almost died fighting a GOD in Inazuma and only called Xiao after the whole ordeal was over and she wanted him to eat a dish? Hey btw, here's a piece of life advice:

If you know what you'd have to do to solve a problem, but you just don't want to do it, your main problem isn't the problem itself. Your problem is figuring out how to get yourself to do the solution.

If your problem is not eating enough vegetables, the problem you should be solving is "how do I make vegetables stop being yucky". If your problem is not getting enough exercise, the problem you should be solving is "how do I make exercise stop sucking ass". You're not supposed to just be doing things that are awful and suck all the time forever, you're supposed to figure out how to make it stop being so awful all the time.

I used to hate wearing sunscreen because it's sticky and slimy and disgusting and it feels bad and it smells bad, so I neglected to wear it even if I needed to. Then I found one that isn't like that, and doesn't smell and feel gross. Problem solved.

There is no correct way to live that's just supposed to suck and feel bad all the time. You're allowed to figure out how to make it not suck so bad.

'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger' except xiao doesn't feel like anything he went through - that endless agony and suffering that sill haunts him in the middle of the night when he closes his eyes - made him any stronger. if anything, it made him wrecked. broken. tainted with blood and pain that he doesn't seem to be able to erase.

as he's panting heavily after defeating monsters full of bad karmic energy, he can feel it, almost. that disgusting sensation etching its way deep into his bones - so deep that he slowly starts to think it's impossible to erase it. to erase all the ugliness of this pain and karma and his own past actions from the depths of his shattering heart.

darkness only sinks in, deeper and deeper. wrapping around his heart, choking his throat until he can't breathe, can't think about anything other than how much easier it would be to be erased from this world. or better, die while protecting mortals. this way, he will fulfill his oath but also erase another dangerous being full of karma from the world - himself.

lumine is nothing like him, he thinks.

after losing everything - her wings, her only family - she held closely to her heart, and going through all the pain this world has to offer, she still hopes. her eyes gleam when she helps people, the corners of her lips curl upwards at the sight of pretty sunsets. she skips a few steps when she's excited and she acts like happy small bunny who is happy to explore the world and it's mysteries (recklessly, sometimes. or at least xiao thinks she is a bit foolish - in an endearing way but still, it makes him a bit worried sometimes. it makes him want to be better so he can stay by her side and fiercely protect her heart with all his might as it was more his than his own.).

in the pale moonlight, in xiao's eyes–in the spaces bettwen his racing heartbeat and trembling exhales, she looks almost like the personification of love herself.

....how can she be so soft despite it all?

xiao knows he shouldn't dare to get closer to her, to long for any semblance of her light and presence around him... to yearn for her love, for her... he isn't sure whether he deserves it, anyway... the closure he's able to offer her might hurt her in the end, he's all too aware of that possibility and it's scaring him - just like the want for her does... lumine deserves better than to deal with someone who's more akin to a monster than to human, so unlike her...

and yet, his heart lingers there; with a girl as gentle as the moonlight and as radiant as the sunlight, whose heart is pure gold and her smile lights up his world just a little bit and makes him wish he, too, could be soft. just like her love is.

I’ve drawn a good amount of fanart of Genshin, and talked about the lore and it’s characters quite a bit on here, but I feel like I almost never show off that I actually play the game, and have been playing for three years.

So here is my compilation of achievements/flexes that show I should probably touch some grass!

As of this post 1069, 1108 achievements (working on more), 65 characters, and I can 36 star the abyss pretty much every rotation (if I’m not too lazy anyway.)

(I know my pictures are shitty) Every 4* is 80+ with 5*s being 90

(THIS ONE TOOK A LONG TIME) every 4* has 8+ talents, and every 5* has 9+

Every area at 100% exploration (Fontaine isn’t fully released yet)

My highest crit, I know it’s not the best but I’m lazy, and it has been a long time since I’ve tried for a higher one. (The character was Childe in case you were interested)

And of course, TCG rank 10. I hate this stupid card game.

Obviously this game means quite a bit to me since I’ve put three years into this lol

Also in case anyone is concerned, you do not need to worry about my excessive free time as I now have a job and will be starting college this year! So I will have a lot less time to spend on a Chinese gatcha game-

If you ever go roller skating, don’t be that person who is faster than the rest of the rink, and tries to pass people who are “in your way” by attempting to squeeze between them and the rink wall, because that person is an asshole.

Anyway, I have a nice bruise on my chin from when I face planted on the ground along with full body aches because an idiot teen boy clipped me from behind with zero warning as he tried to pass on my right, when there was literally NO ONE TO MY LEFT. HE COULD HAVE JUST GONE LEFT.

He apologized, but it didn’t stop him from almost doing the same damn thing to other people afterwards, so apology not accepted.
