Summary: Cole and Kai go to visit Cole’s dad, except he doesn’t know that Cole’s gay

A/N: I had a bunch of ideas of little scenes and tried to fit them into one fic, idk how well it worked but here ya go!

Cole smiled as he took a sip of his tea. “I can’t believe you guys did that!” He laughed. 

“I know! Our parents were so badass!” Kai cheered, shaking his boyfriend’s shoulder slightly. 

“Cole, your mother was a fantastic warrior, and our closest friend. We were always ecstatic when she called us up for help.” Maya said, grabbing Cole’s hand and giving it a squeeze. He smiled and squeezed back.

“She kicked butt like nobody’s business!” Ray chuckled. 

“That reminds me of that one time when we were in the temple of light and kicked all those stone warrier’s butts! Have you guys heard this story??” Kai asked his parents. His eyes were lighting up with enjoyment. Cole’s heart grew as he saw how happy he was.

Kai was definitely going for a hug and looked disappointed (and confused in by Cole general) when he didn't get one

He honestly looked like he was expecting one from Cole

Well since you're intrigued 👀

As of late Kai and Cole have been paired up together. Like a LOT.

We have:

Cole comforting Kai when he failed to protect the village. (Holding onto him)

Kai searching for food for Cole on the island.

When Cole falls Kai is the one to immediately try to turn the ship around and even breaks down right then and there.

Cole is the one to understand Kai's feelings on having lost his powers and to explain it to others.

Then when Kai is able to use his fire powers again he is weak and Cole holds onto him for support. For like a really long time. And then they hold hands. Might as well start making out next

Kai throughout Prime Empire is absolutely terrified of losing his last life and is shown to not really wanting to risk it, however he risks his last life to save Cole when he was falling (Who I'm pretty sure had multiple lives at the time) and they chose to go out with a big bang together. Like they died together. That's gay gay homosexual gay

Kai is the one to be super pushy on saving Cole and verbally speaks up on saving him to Vangelis (idk how to spell his name).

Okay (related to point above) Kai is just worried about Cole in general like when they get separated and the cave collapses in he calls out to him meanwhile Zane wasn't as concerned. We also got a "Kick his ass babe!" Moment from Kai.

Cole pulling in Kai to dance.

Cole rushing over to catch Kai as he fails to do spinjitsu in prime empire and was about to fall.

Sharing a vehicle together.

Getting paired behind together.

Stopping Ronin and locking him up together. (Fighting crime duo 😊)

And I'm pretty sure that there are more examples I am forgetting but there are also parallels to Jaya and other canon ships.

•They share a side plot in seabound like how Pixal and Zane shared one And so did Jaya. (Also they were just joking around playing games together with Ray and I loke to think he approves and it is very sweet)

•In march of the oni Kai and Cole hug alongside Jay and Nya when Lloyd didn't die.

•Speaking of which before that moment Na rushes to Jay to make sure he is okay and Cole is the one to rush over to Kai and help him when he was stuck under ruble. (Even some comforting)

•In a photo Lloyd is in the center with Jaya on the left, Pixal and Zane above, and Cole and Kai paired up together on his right.

And this one is from season one but imma include it anyways bc it was adorable

These probably wouldn't be as big of a deal if the roles between the ninja were swapped around for these moments but the fact ever since the newer seasons they keep getting paired together constantly, idk the ship just grew on me. They're so cute and sweet together. Just constantly supporting one another while also being playful. They're cute in my lil anon opinion!
