Growing up is nice. I want to grow up and become a woman yes and get rid of these teenage years. But the growing up part is hard. You start growing up and forget about beautiful things. You forget about those beautiful friends, cartoons, ferris wheels, ice creams, school days, the sound of the last bell of the day in school. So many memories vanish gradually. Growing up at this age means farewells, saying goodbye to all those wonderful people who were with you all these years, making those difficult choices, doing work and being serious. Growing up is hard. Not as entertaining as it seems. Seeing all your friends being scattered, not studying some subjects because you are taking a different stream no matter how much you hated them, standing up on your own, being responsible and independent. Lot of work.
But at the same time I want the freedom of being an adult, make my own choices and bear their consequences, thrive in this world, do things I love. Live alone and earn my own money and spend it.
Its not as much attracting as it sounds but as I become one year more older and closer to being a proper adult I relish these happy childhood memories and try to make the most of what I can in this new adventure life is giving me.
Cheers to happy 16!

Yes I love birthdays. Not just mine but the birthdays of all the people around me. People may call me cringy but I don't care. Just having that one special day in 365 days all to yourself. The day you entered this world and brought and continue to bring joy to the people around. Birthdays do not have to be spent perfectly with gourment food, parties or expensive gifts. Just appreciate your existence in this world for so many years and hope for more challenging, beautiful, surprising and happy years with the people you love around you.

Retro Bollywood never goes out of Style
I feel that the older movies were very memorable because the number of movies made at that time were very less as compared to today. How many times have we seen our parents, grandparents and other adults telling us their stories and experiences about what happened when that particular movie was released or any gossip about any film actor. They also have very strong opinions and a bond with the cast and actors. My mom still feels very proud of herself for when she used to dress like Madhuri Dixit or basically any Yash Chopra movie at her college. She used to travel all the way across the city to visit a particular tailor. My dad on the other hand watched every new movie with his friends in college. They preferred to go for morning shows because they were cheap, which also means they bunked college (I still cant believe he told me that). He also watched DDLJ freaking 6 times in theatre. My masi on the other hand has the entire script of 'Hum aapke hai kaun' literally memorised  including the songs. Wedding sangeets may have the new trendy music with a dash of english songs. But of course no one forgets the classic Maahi Ve or Kajra Re.
