I've been in this city for almost 3 years, and I'm not leaving any time soon. | 🎯 〰️ Nashville has been my home since 2015. I've met some amazing people, I've seen some incredible things, and I've eaten some of the best food I've ever had in my life. It feels like each new year comes with even more new and exciting things, and I find myself thinking on "what's next" on a daily basis. Although it is obviously important to focus on the positive and look to the future, I try to keep a realistic perspective to balance things out. At 25 years young, I know that I have a lot of time left in the game of life to hit trials and hard times. I'm sure I'll make mistakes and drop the ball and make moves that I'll wish I could take back. Everybody cares about what people think, it's human nature. | 👥 〰️ I think it is so important to understand that even tho we all care about what people think of us, we can't let those opinions affect our thoughts and/or actions. That's what truly "not caring about what people think" means. This is a topic that I love to bounce around in my head because as a person and as somebody who is trying to win the hearts and favor of others for both personal relationships and business, it does matter to me what people think of me. That said, I have to be conscious of where I draw the line when it comes to how much weight I allow those opinions to carry in my mind. It's a delicate balancing act, as are most things in life, but I enjoy the inner struggle because it's a major part of the human experience. What about you? Do you fight this fight? Clarity is consistently at the top of my prayer list. 〰️ No matter where I'm at in life, whether a high or a low, I always find myself asking for a clear path to be revealed to me. The fear of making the wrong choice can be crippling. I've struggled with it in my own life, and I have seen it take hold in the lives of people around me. The truth is that no matter how in control or prepared we think we are in the moment, we can't make the "right" choice every time. That said, it is so important to be self-aware when decisions fall on your plate. Today marks 6 years since I took a girl out for dinner. I knew she was fun to be around and I knew that I liked her, but that was about all I knew at the time... 〰️ I didn't know I could trust her with anything. I quit my job on Friday. It was a sales gig that I took in 2015 to pay the bills until I got on my feet in a new city. How funny is hindsight... Now, almost 3 years later, I've been presented with a phenomenal opportunity to work in the music industry. 〰️ This picture was taken this weekend in front of my biggest contract, a historic building shared by Vanderbilt University and Sony Music. I sold them all of the replacement windows. 〰️ I've learned so much since moving to Nashville- about life, myself, and what I want for my family.
