#365daysofbass #Day34 | Major iim7-V7-I^7 patterns around the circle of 4ths. Notice that when you are playing the pattern starting on the D string you have to play the V7 from the lower octave. The chord progression throughout is || iim7 |V7 | I^7 | I ^7|| I'm ascending each chord and then on measure four DESCENDING the Major 7th 🅰️ The II-V C major is Dm7 - G7. When you're starting on the E string you can ascend each #arpeggio with no problem. 🅱️ The next key is F and the iim7 is Gm7 and the V7 is C7. You'll run out of real estate unless you have a 6 string so, to compensate for that you have to go to the C a fifth *below* F. You'll follow this pattern through all keys. I think that its still a great idea to call out the names each key. It's "typical function" in music is to bring the listener back to the tonic chord.
