(vent) i hate being an aroace(spec) individual who isn’t completely off-put by sex and romance.

i can’t relate to a lot of ace/aro content. i can’t relate to most queer content either even though i also have queer experience. i can’t use dating apps like most people because i’ve never been able to find people attractive through a couple of pictures, a husk of a profile, and/or a couple lines of a bio. not even mentioning how there are hardly any aces on any of them. i can’t be happy alone because i would actually really like to be partnered or find my “person”. it’s like i’m being pulled in and out of topics between communities all the time. (even in-person conversations amongst other queers) “forever alone” seems like bliss to some aroaces, but not to me. i’m trying to fit anywhere so so badly. i’m tired of feeling alone wherever i try to seek solace. i’m tired of feeling othered where i’m supposed to be welcomed.

Queer / aroace people I need help 🥲

I am writing a story of two women (Lanora ace-spec, Keala aro-spec) who start out as normal friends and end in a QPR. The whole thing shall function in an aro-ace-representation and basically to showcase how happy people can be in a QPR cause I have never seem that anywhere before. At the same time I wanna use it to understand my own identity better.

NOW - I have the problem of not knowing how to create THEIR QPR. On one hand, I am afraid that if I do bring in a lil romance and sex, I might run the risk of "oh so it really is just about finding the right person" or "ohhh so its just like a normal relationship only wirhout the marriage" AND THIS IS THE LAST I WANT

BUT

I also want to show off the million multilayers amd microlabels (for understanding: Lanora defines as somehow demisexual / placiosexual and Keala may be cupioromantic) meaning I also dont feel like going full no-sex / no-romance isnt a good idea either ...

What would u do?? Any thoughts / ideas??
