Could you maybe change the banner to anti-endogenic, then? Bc I know ppl who consider themselves sysmed bc they consider DID a disorder (like me, a DID sys) but aren't anti-endogenic. I respect endogenic systems, I just want to make sure our spaces are seperate.
We understand if you use that term with that meaning -- however, in our personal experiences that word has only been used by those who believe DiD/OSDD are the only ways to have a system.
Also, for other personal reasons we would rather sysmeds not interact, sorry (we know DiD/OSDD is a disorder, and all but), if you really want to know feel free to ask off Anon. We’ll answer privately (or send a PM, if you want).
Hope this clears up our meaning?

I'm the anon who sent the thing abt "sysmed." The reason it's ableist is because it's used disparagingly against people with DID/OSDD who either want spaces for their disorder without spirituality-based multiplicity, or who want spaces exclusively for recovery. Being what folks call "sysmed" isn't the same as being anti-endogenic, even though a lot of "sysmeds" happen to be. Saying that OSDD/DID are disorders isn't saying anything negative about people who have systems without DID/OSDD.
I’d like to preface this with the fact that we are a DiD system: to both provide better context and to show we aren’t just trying to be argumentative lskdfij
“Sysmed” was coined to describe people who think DiD/OSDD is the only way to have a system, i.e. medicalizing all systems. We don’t mind it if people want to have their own space -- that’s completely okay! But we don’t want ‘anti-endogenic systems’ here, for our own comfort.

"sysmed" is a really ableist word, it's discriminatory against people with DID/OSDD. Please choose different phrasing or take it out of your DNI banners.
I’m extremely sorry, but I don’t understand how it is? I’ll take it out if it is really bad, but we’d appreciate an explanation so we can avoid similar mistakes in the future.

Stimtoy is racist + ableist, they have a few call-out posts around
I appreciate the concern! But we couldn’t find anything. Is there like, a link you can send us or something?
