What kills me about this scene isn’t even the way Todd is looking at Neil, it’s what Neil does after Todd looks away.
Tumblr media
It seems as though he takes in/lets out a breath and what makes me so insane about it is the fact that I know that feeling, of being so aware of when someone you like/admire is looking at you and you feel like you can’t breathe until they look away and I just. I can’t accept that they made it this gay on accident. How did they do that

HETEROSEXUAL CIS-PEOPLE LOOK HERE
Tumblr media
Snaps my fingers at you as you scroll past this post
Look at me. Listen.
I'm not the best at serious posts, but that article up there reminded me of how important it is that people like you stand up for us. So hold on while I try to get this out of my mushy end-of-work-day brain.
We could fight this fight ourselves for decades trying to reach the equal laws, gender affirming trans healthcare that doesn't have a 2-5+ soul-eating years of waiting time, medical care with equal knowledge of lgbtqia+ bodies, and, what is often forgotten, inclusion in the little everyday areas of life like our way of speaking or things being set up or designed with the existence of queer people in mind.
But you joining in could get us there so much faster.
The power you have as a hetero cis person is that you set the standard for what is seen as the average way of treating us among other hetero cis people. You have been given the power of deciding what's "normal" and I'm begging you to use it.
Richard Green is a great example of to what extent your actions can help our situation, and smaller ways of support still add up to a great impact on society, and could make the days of the queer people you interact with.
Educate yourself before you speak up, but don't be silent.

Shout out to the queer kids who live in an accepting area but still aren’t sure they’re always accepted.
shout out to the kids who’s parents are *fine* with them, but nothing more than that.
shout out to the kids that had a really awkward coming out, and no one’s mentioned it since.
shout out to the kids who’s straight friends like to discuss queer issues, and often have the a skewed idea of what’s ok.
shout out to kids who are mostly accepted, but still would rather leave.
You’re valid
(I very much liked a recent reblog from @morsobaby: those whose parents are “being accepting in actions rather than mindset” <3 this is for you too)

Kim k was a literal bully who instigated a witch hunt against her just because she and her bitchass slave apologist nazi husband at the time wanted to. The song on the album isn't even that vindictive, it's her telling what happened and saying that she wouldn't be where she is and wouldn't be forced to heal if it wasn't for her bullying her publicly
Let me start by saying I don't give a damn about Kim K, but I just find it funny that Taylor wrote on Instagram that there was "nothing to avenge" and that her wounds are "healed", yet she's bringing up drama from literally over five years ago and bringing Kim K's daughter into it - I am of the opinion that you leave children out of your drama, adding that line with her daughter means your not over it. You don't include the kids, period.
Not to mention, at least know when you're being manipulated. Because we all know, right? The only reason she released this now was to get her fandom hot and bothered so she could then release reputation TV.
Not to mention, yeah, Kim K is a bully, I agree, but so is Taylor, who dated a known racist and wrote an entire song doubling down on it. I genuinely like a lot of her music, but you all act like she's perfect. She's cheated, slut shamed in her music, and acted just as petty. Not to mention, her fans bully anyone they perceive has done her wrong, even with no proof and she sits back and let's it happen. Now, they are flooding Kim K's Instagram, so Taylor is just as bad as she is now. congratulations.
I think people would like Taylor a hell of a lot of more, if her fans didn't act like she's perfect. Like she's just as flawed as the rest of us! Also please for the love of god, if you can't take criticism of Taylor just block the anti taylor swift tag, it'll be better for you.

The day Taylor Swifts new album album came out every news outlet and radio station from national to local in my country was talking about it ALL DAY and even now, they’re still talking about her new music. Imagine the impact she could have just by simply posting #freepalestine or anything to show support for the victims of the current genocide. Don’t sit there tell me celebrities don’t have an impact on politics when they make national headlines by releasing new music. A famous persons voice is just as powerful as their career and their stances on certain issues or lack thereof do matter.

The thing is ...Joe Alwyn is going to be alright. He's going to find him a decent English girl and he will have his family along with his mental stability. He's going to be alright after this storm just like Calvin, Tom, Harry and all the other men that came before. Even Matty is going to be alright. Despite his reckless behaviours and his choices of words, he will learn from these mistakes and move on. John Mayer moved on too. He had his therapy/rehab...he lives a private life...with his radio show and his live shows once in awhile. Time will move but Taylor Swift will remain if she doesn't get HELP! Unforgiveness is not good...vengeance is never good.
But only Human Beings and Adults with experiences would understand this. The two year olds will throw tantrums behind a keyboard.
I personally don't know any of Taylor Exes...but I know there is always 3 side to a story.
13 Men can't all be the villains...love...I've been listening to you since I was 13 and spinning around in my Fearless Dress..🙃

“Poor Taylor, all she wanted to do was date a racist.” 🥺
Sorry, I can’t hear your “bitching and moaning” over the sounds of my country being bombed. Your complaints and laments over a bigoted man don’t mean anything next to the dead bodies of children in my home country that I’ve had to escape from.
Let’s get one thing clear: being racist is a bad thing.
Having to explain that to a fan base of mostly white people who are privileged is exhausting.
And hearing Taylor Swift call this a point of suffering for her is almost comical. I wonder how she would feel if she actually faced the dangers that people in the global south face on a daily basis.

leaving someone because their mental health is harmful to you and the relationship is, of course, valid.
writing a song about how your partner’s mental health was a jail for you and already having someone lined up as the first to call is just downright disgraceful.
presumably, rather than supporting her partner in his lowest times the way he had done for her she got upset that he wasn’t seeing her and wouldn’t marry her in that state of mind and began an emotional affair because he couldn’t give her his full attention.
she has every right to grieve, and be angry, depressed, and heartbroken over the end of her relationship but to make a song like Fresh Out the Slammer is so gross and out of touch.
and mind you, it is ok to write songs about being the bad guy or doing problematic things, because that is real life and no one is perfect, but the problem is she doesn’t paint herself doing these things in a bad light. she is trying to justify said actions.
it is genuinely a slap in the face to every person who has ever struggled with mental illness and who face the worry every. single. day that they are either not good enough for their partner or a burden to them.
I think I would feel differently about the album and this song in particular if she actually recognized what it would be like for him. but no, she blames him and accuses him of “sacrificing” their relationship to his mental health. there was absolutely no accountability taken and then you add in the fact that she couldn’t wait to get away from her depressed partner of 6 years so she could fuck a racist pos.
