I really think David Jenkins should do what Álex Pina did after killing Berlin in LCDP and make Izzy appear in the flashbacks next season, basically carrying the whole show on his shoulders, and then give him his own prequel spin-off where Con O'Neill would dye his hair and continue to play 20-something Izzy in his golden years

La Casa de Papel mostra um grupo de desconhecidos que se reúne e organiza um assalto à Casa da Moeda da Espanha. A terceira temporada mostrou os integrantes aproveitando os frutos do roubo até que a prisão de um dos assaltantes obriga os ladrões a se juntarem mais uma vez para roubar o Banco Central da Espanha. Na Parte 4, eles precisarão lidar com o caos criado por esse segundo assalto.

A série começa com a formação do grupo de assaltantes/sequestradores que vão colocar em prática o plano do assalto. Oito pessoas com diferentes especialidades são escolhidas para este seleto grupo de criminosos, e cada um é chamado pelo nome de uma cidade do mundo: Tóquio, Berlim, Denver, Moscou, Oslo, Helsinque, Nairobi e Rio

Hello! Do you have info on the berlin2023? did pedro say anything about it recently? The last info i had that they start filming soon, but idk if it refers to august? september? also do you know anything about the other possible cast members?

Pedro mentioned in an interview from a couple of months ago that they start filming in September, iirc "at the beginning" of the month. I know i shared the interview here on my Tumblr but even though I tag everything, I can't find it to save my life.

No information as of yet about any other cast members. None whatsoever, and I'm on pretty confident in my google-fu. However, I'm hoping that once filming begins, one way or another we'll get more information (tbh I'm hoping Pedro will Instagram crumbs for us, he's pretty active on the platform).

In information that's new to me, Rodrigo is set to start shooting for a Paramount+ film, El Salto de Papá, and all I could tell is that they'll start filming "in the next couple of weeks" (article from July 29th). No idea if this means he won't be in the Berlin spin-off. More information to follow soon, I guess? It also depends how long the filming for that film lasts.

Now, the latest Pedro interviews are from July, when he went to Chile, and I found a couple that mention the spin-off:

Regarding the confirmed spin off of the famous character from La Casa de Papel, Pedro Alonso said that he has already met with the creator, Álex Pina, but there is no finished final script.

«My experience with him (with Álex) tells me that a thousand things can still happen. He does a lot of script versions. He likes to cook it little by little on the fire. He has told me some things, we have shared some things », he revealed.

To finish, he added: «I know there is a course. I know he wants to give it a fresh look, but he does that every season. Even when he did La Casa de Papel. Every session, every season had that, even sometimes stepping into new genres.»

La Casa de Papel. Il faut vivre sous une roche pour ne pas comprendre la référence, avoir l’image ou encore connaître la trame sonore. Une série télévisée divisée en cinq parties qui a pris d’assaut le monde le 20 décembre 2017 (IMDB). La Casa de Papel a su défoncer plusieurs nouvelles barrières qu’aucun producteur n’aurait pu penser. On peut remercier Netfix pour ce bijou. Cette plateforme numérique a su faire découvrir au monde entier plusieurs pièces médiatiques de nature étrangère. La culture populaire a su prendre un élan grâce à cette plateforme numérique, maintenant il est possible d’écouter du stand-up provenant de Belgique, un documentaire sur le monde marin tout droit sorti d’un studio australien ou encore une série fictive sur une fusillade en milieu scolaire situé en Norvège. La beauté dans tout ça? Netflix traduit pratiquement tout en plus d’une langue.

La casa de Papel, c’est un exemple parmi tant d’autres. On peut penser à la folie de Stranger Things, le buzz de Squid’s Game ou encore un autre cadeau de nos amis espagnol; Elite. Toutes ses séries ont réussi à transpercer la culture populaire et s’y immiscer. La trame sonore de stranger things est à l’origine de plusieurs trends sur tiktok. On peut facilement prévoir que les costumes inspirés de Squid’s Game seront omniprésents dans nos feed Instagram le lendemain de l’Halloween.

Netflix a su mettre sur la map plusieurs industries de productions cinématographiques à l’international, mais aussi pousser la culture populaire du web à un autre niveau grâce à leur offre de streaming.

Lali Espósito: "La industria musical te exige sonar todo el rato y yo necesitaba parar"

Su apodo se lo puso su hermano, trece meses mayor que ella. De ahí que su verdadero nombre, Mariana, aguarde en el baúl que abrir para recodar de donde viene, y que, sobre Lali, haya creado un huracán ecléctico entre la música y la actuación. «Lali se transformó indefectiblemente en mi nombre», confiesa en su entrevista con El Independiente.

Lali Espósito (Buenos Aires, 1991) comenzó a actuar de niña en diversas producciones de Cris Morena, como Rincón de luz, Floricienta o Chiquitas sin fin, y más tarde se haría conocida por interpretar el personaje de Marianella Rinaldi en Casi ángeles, y ser miembro de la banda pop derivada de la serie, Teen Angels. «Empecé en la televisión de mi país, en series de televisión que por entonces no se veían en España. En la mayoría también hacía música, es algo que siempre ha ido de mi mano. Muestra de ello son los temas Disciplina, Diva, Como tú o N5, su último single, la primera entrega de su nuevo sonido, una explosión sonora con tintes house y llena de energía que se atreve a mezclar incluso con guitarras flamencas y que dice, en España, ha calado «muy bien». «España permite una estabilidad económica que no te da otro país y creo que junto a Argentina son un buen tándem en lo musical y también en la ficción. España es un sitio muy ameno donde hacer ficción y que se ha transformado en un epicentro del cine iberoamericano, pero en la música, es un país que ha salvaguardado su cultura aún fusionándola con otros estilos, como Rosalía o C. Tangana».

Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area is a mostly faithful adaptation of Álex Pina’s crime drama La Casa de Papel — you may know it as Money Heist, which aired from 2017 to 2021 and went from semi-successful Spanish TV series to global Netflix phenomenon. Once again, a bespectacled and somewhat squirrelly braniac named “the Professor” (Oldboy‘s Yoo Ji-tae) gathers together a motley crew of criminals and masterminds a heist at a national mint. This isn’t stealing from people, he explains, since they’re going to print new money and redistribute that wealth to, um, themselves. Once the gang is inside, the expected hostage situation is established, and the Professor’s plan is out into motion, things get complicated. Very complicated. Actually I'm curious of all their city names, the reason behind. (I know that the REAL reason is that those were the cool sounding city names the creators could think of, LOL, but in universe). Stockholm is obvious, Rio is for the nickname of his from his parents, "Rayo" sounds similar and Palermo is because he lives there - but the others? Do you have ideas?

Yep, there apparently wasn't a lot of thinking behind some of those names, although I'd love it if the writers would come up with something for each of them!

I did find this Netflix Tudum article:

"In the documentary Money Heist: The Phenomenon, executive producer Jesús Colmenar says that the names were inspired by a T-shirt that the show’s creator, Álex Pina, was wearing. (It was emblazoned with the word Tokyo.) “That would be the perfect name for the main character,” Colmenar thought, and the rest was history. "Within 15 minutes, I said, 'Berlin, Moscow, Denver.' It was really quick," he explains in the film."

Denver - seeing how he got to the name Cincinnati, i wouldn't be surprised if we took a similar approach to derive Denver from Daniel. (The Tudum says "The Rocky Mountain city of Denver is filled with outdoors lovers and thrill-seekers alike, making the city name ideal for someone so easygoing and passionate.")

Helsinki - 100% fan of Tom of Finland's work, Helsinki was the only natural choice (what? No, I'm not projecting)

But-- I have my own question - what would Sergio's city name have been had he not chosen to be El Professor?
