Luna couldn’t recall a time she ever had a full conversation with Nick Keller. They’d known each other for years, hung out together all the time, but she still couldn’t remember ever just speaking to him — not about Cass or Prince or even some other superficial topic like what liquor to buy for the next party he threw — but to him, as a person or as her friend. They didn’t have much in common besides their friends and lack of parental supervision. Or at least that had been the case before Cass and Prince decided to give them one more thing to have in common.

Luna hadn’t spoken to her friends in weeks, if she felt like she could even still call them that. She had so much resentment towards them for driving Prince away that, at times, it blinded her to her own fault in the situation. At the time, she had been so focused on being a good friend that it made her lose sight of being a good girlfriend. Now, she had neither. Luna focused her attention on school and work. If she wasn’t busy with one, she was doing the other. It had become a bit exhausting, but it was much better than having any downtime to focus on how fucked her life had gotten.

“Desi, you have to clean the—what are they called in English? El mejillón?” Luna racked her brain trying to remember the word but gave up after a minute. “Whatever they’re called, you have to clean those before you put them in the paella. It will be disgusting now, but I bet you’re still gonna eat it,” She giggled. Luna and her brother were on FaceTime. It’d been a while since she spoke with him, and since her flat had become so empty, the homesickness was hitting her a little harder than usual. They made plans a few days ago to make her favorite Spanish food together. It was nice to talk to him. Before moving to London, Desi was the person she was closest to because they were only 11 months apart in age, and she was missing that bond these days. She opened her mouth to speak until she was interrupted by a knock on her door. Luna raised a brow, not having been expecting any guests. Wiping her hands clean with a dish towel, she picked up her phone and moved towards the door. Her brother asked who it was and she shrugged. “Either I’ll have to call you back, or you’ll have to call 999.” Luna looked through the peephole and rolled her eyes. “I’ll call you back.” Her brother started to protest, but she hung up on him as she opened the door to find Nick Keller on the other side.

That day Luna was so annoyed that he’d come over, but she never did give her brother that call back. She and Nick talked for hours, sharing her paella as she explained her disappearing act and how she hadn’t been doing too well. He must’ve pitied her because, after that, Nick would start showing up at Luna’s door a couple times a week. She welcomed the company since she still wasn’t speaking to Matt and Panda, and the other two people in her life didn’t have much of a physical presence anymore. Sometimes Luna would make them dinner, and other times they’d just have tea and chat, but one thing they never did was talk about Prince and Cassie. Nick would tell her about what dumb thing Matt did that day, and she would talk about work and school, but they never addressed the elephant in the room. That was, until one day, Nick took the leap and asked how Cass was doing. Luna was caught off guard by his question because they’d been talking about when she planned on speaking to their other friends again. “Oh, um, she’s good. She started working at this cafe recently, and she won’t shut up about it because it’s like some dream she’s always had in her head.” He seemed content with the answer, a small smile on his face, although his features showed a hint of sadness. “You’re lucky you get to ask, y’know.” Somehow, Luna figured her words would cheer him up a bit. He looked up at her. “I know it sucks that she didn’t say goodbye and that you’re not the person she still talks to, but I think you’re really lucky for being able to know if she’s doing okay.” He shakes his head but returns to their previous conversation to avoid delving deeper into the topic. They decided she’d go home with him today to make up with Panda and Matt, but that’s the last time they talk about Prince and Cass until a few weeks later.

Luna would have days where she would be reminded of Prince, be sad for five minutes, and move on with her day. Other times, not so much, and today was a not-so-much day. She’d already cut her hair in a dramatic move to erase a part of her that Prince liked, but there were still so many things in her flat that reminded her of him. Luna wanted to get rid of it all, starting with her bedroom. Every picture was thrown into the bottom drawer of her desk, and she tossed her sheets in the bin and replaced them with some that he never laid in. The biggest task left was her closet.

She made it easy for him to leave, she thought to herself. He couldn’t have had much to pack because she found shirt after shirt in her closet. Each one having memories attached to it— him waking her up with coffee in the morning, her secretly stealing it from their trip to Paris because she wanted something to remember it by, him managing to finally convince Luna to skip her uni classes. They didn’t leave her bed once that day. Luna tried to push through the task, but she was spiraling. Her mind was filled with him. She still loved him. She missed him.

Abandoning her closet, she went to her living room for another distraction. She only got as far as picking up the remote before her tears blinded her vision and a sob clawed its way out. Luna heard the front door open, but she didn’t care enough to lift her head to see who it was. She stopped caring about a lot of things lately like locking the door. It was something she’d always nag at Cass about, but there wasn’t anything in her flat that she cared for anymore, herself included. There was no point. She knew whoever it was didn’t mean her any harm when they asked what was wrong, and she immediately recognized that it was Nick.

She laughed bitterly, finally lifting her head to look at her friend. “What’s always wrong. The reason you even come over here in the first place. We weren’t friends, Nick, let’s be real here, but you come over and look at me with your sad fucking eyes because we had to break each other’s hearts when we had to tell each other that the people we love left us without saying a word, but we sit here and drink tea all the fucking time and pretend that’s not the only reason we’re even talking.” Nick wasn’t put-off by her outburst because he comes and sits next to her, wrapping an arm around her shoulder and encouraging her to rest her head on his, which she does. The pair sit in silence for a while, Luna’s sniffling being the only noise in the room before she speaks up again.

“I never needed him to love me as much as I loved him. I only needed him to love me enough.” Nick asks enough for what? “I don’t know — enough to not leave me. Enough to say fucking goodbye…..enough to take me with him just — enough. Why couldn’t he give me enough?”

After that, they stop pretending like their shared fucked up love lives aren’t what’s making them hang out, and they start talking about it more. Nick tells her how much Cass hurt him, and she talks about how much Prince hurt her. Luna tries to reassure him of things without giving too much away. It was honestly nice for Luna to have someone to speak to that understood what she was going through, but it sucked he could never provide her enough back.

One day, he speaks up about his and Prince’s night at the bar the night before he broke up with her. Luna chuckles. “I knew he was going to break up with me that night, Nick.” Nick’s eyes grow wide. He asks if it’s because Prince said something but she shakes her head. “I knew he was going to break up with me because every time I saw him the last few months he was here, I knew he was always so close to doing it. I don’t know why he stayed with me so long. Maybe to torture me and make me feel as bad as he did.”

“Why did you stay so long then?”

Luna shrugs. “I guess the same reason why you stayed around for Cass.”

Nick and Luna had been hanging out in her bed, staring up at the ceiling as they once again bonded over the trauma Cass and Prince caused them. “A while ago, his mum was here," Luna didn't know why she was bringing this up, but she just thought of the moment and had to share. "But she left and we had this whole thing where I told him that I’d be his person who stays, always.” She said the last word of her sentence with sadness. “I promised I’d never leave him, so I just-“ Luna paused, taking a deep breath to control the aching in her chest that her words were causing. “I just wonder if he realized I needed a person who stays too.” Luna reminds herself of what she told Prince about people who leave— they do it because they're selfish, and there's something wrong with them. It had nothing to do with the people they left. She still believed the former half, but she was struggling with not taking it so personally. Her eyes move from the ceiling to Nick's face. "Do you blame yourself for Cass leaving?" He says no because he doesn't even know why she left. Luna's voice is in a whisper when she asks her next question. "Do you blame yourself for her not saying goodbye, then?" Nick is quiet for a beat, but he eventually says no to that too. He repeats the question back to her. She nods her head.

“Nick, I don’t even think them leaving is the issue.” Nick is confused and looks at her, but she refocuses her gaze on the ceiling. “They never asked us to go with them. They left everything behind and we weren’t special enough to be exceptions.” Luna briefly considered how much her comment might sting for Nick because Cass did have an exception, and she was laying right next to him. At least when Prince left, he decided no one was worth speaking to anymore, including the person he trusted enough to tell that he was leaving. Luna rolls over and rests her head on his chest and he welcomes it. “How could we be so in love with people who just viewed us as the same as everyone else?” Nick lightens the mood by joking about them hooking up. Luna laughs and pushes him away, and they joke about why they’d never.

"I like talking to you, Nick, seriously." They gaze at each other, smiles on their faces. "I'm sorry I told Cass that you're like a stale piece of bread, and I don't know why she hangs out with you." They both laugh before he pushes her off of her bed. She hits the floor with a thud. "Okay, I accept that I deserved that," Luna groaned as she stood up. That doesn't stop her from punching him in the arm, though. "So what's for dinner, Keller?"

I ship Chandler and Joey from F.R.I.E.N.D.S. so much and I think the writers were cowards because Chandler was so clearly gay-coded, and Joey was just as visibly bi-coded. Someone said that if the show aired in the present time instead of back then, they'd be a couple, so here's to hoping that if they do remake the show, they do that. I just did not see Chandler x Monica at all. It felt like forced heteronotmativity because the writers panicked and didn't know what to do with either of them anymore.

Not to mention how affectionate Joey and Chandler were towards each other (and that New Year's kiss, which was never brought up again) and how comfortable they were with one another. I can't look at them and not ship them.

I'm done now. Sorry for unloading this random rant on you lmao, I just couldn't get it out of my head all night.

i’ve never really thought about shipping them as more than a brotp, but i can’t argue with what you’re saying lol. to me, chandler has always been on the fruity side, and i do agree that the relationship between him and monica was just a bit out of the blue haha

tbh i’ve also always thought that rachel had bi energy and phoebe had pan energy, but that’s a story for another time ;)

i doubt a remake will be in our midsts, but i 100% would not be against the writers including some accurate lgbtq+ representation

WHO DID YOU APPLY FOR? OR ARE THINKING OF APPLYING FOR? So, I just have the one character right now, but I have every intention of bringing in a second shortly, I just wanna start off the RP with one character to focus on and develop. Because I suck, and if I come in with two, I will die. No joke.

INTRODUCING — ESMERAY (es-mer-ay) HAZAN

So, this here is my little corporate boss af bitch, ESMERAY HAZAN, who is currently TWENTY-SEVEN years old.. Don’t be fooled by the ‘sweet and innocent’ gif that Kenny suggested I use; because she is far from it. She’s one half of a whole, her sister being Freyza, of course identical twins (we wanted you to have double Ayca beauty on the dash, what can I say?) She’s very much into the business aspect of her inherited company, which she had thrusted upon her when her father was murdered by the Corinthos’, alongside her elder sister. As you can expect, the Hazan’s are very much interested in the sweet taste of revenge, and will do just about anything to secure that. They may be tiny, but my God are they a force to be reckoned with. Esmeray, or rather, Esme, for short — you can expect the formal office wear and briefcase aesthetic that Ayca portrays in The Protector, as that’s her to a T. With their so called ‘company’ specialising in illegal oil drilling, and the diamond mining business, she’s decked out with a fair share of cash to support her lifestyle. Diamonds for days, and a jet to Paris for the weekend? Why not, right? That being said, you can also expect her to have secured herself many connections throughout the Quarter, both genuine and those she has manipulated into her circle for sources/intel etc. That’s all I’ve got for her right now, though I’m about to be writing up her biography in full, so if I add anything crucial that isn’t mentioned here, you can expect me to come back and update this shit.

GIVE US THREE HEADCANONS ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER(s). CAN BE ANYTHING!:

ONE : Esmeray is entirely devoted to the cause that her family has put together, to avenge her father’s death. So much so that she refuses to get involved with anyone that could cause her distractions, but that being said, she was in love once. And only once. She went into it as a source of intel, but quickly realised they had become more and called it quits. After all, she’s a business woman, she has an entire illegal company to keep tabs on, and her family.

TWO : Freyza is and always will be her priority. She would take a bullet for her twin, and if she ever came to realise she was in danger, she’d pick up a gun herself and hunt for the son of a bitch. Usually, she’d be more inclined to hire someone to do it for her if it was anyone else — so hopefully that puts that into perspective.

THREE : Her sister was just 11 when she died in the car bombing, but there was a necklace that her sister owned at the time, a gift to her from their mother and father; that quickly became a prized possession. Esmeray asked her mother for the necklace, which was soon handed over. The necklace hasn’t left her since, and is probably one of, if not the most, sentimental item that she owns.

WHAT SORT OF PLOTS ARE YOU HOPING TO DO?:

Due to her keeping tabs on the Corinthos family, and her sisters entanglements with them, I’d love a connection there somehow. Somebody with whom she’s invested time into, developed a strong standing with — whether that’s business wise, friendship wise, or that she’s had a little flirt with. Whatever it is that gets her that intel, she good boo.

I’d honestly love as many connections as we can possibly come up with. They can range from anything from best friends, to sworn enemies. Literally, anything. I’ll admit that I’m a total sucker for brotp’s and anything squad related, where there’s just a group of friends who always seem to be together. Think F.R.I.E.N.D.S. but badass mofo’s in the illegal industries haha. So, just come at me, and we can come up with just about anything, just be warned I’m likely to spam you with muse posts, so if you’re good with that, HMU.

DID YOUR CHARACTER HAVE ANY RELATION TO ELIZABETH?:

Sort of! They were more acquaintances than anything, crossed paths, considering it’s hard not to in a community as small as theirs, but as prominent in the city. They had mutual friends, which usually meant that the pair were at events, our for drinks together, and were rather friendly. Nothing over the top, so Esmeray wasn’t exactly broken up about her death, but it was still enough for her to recognise the stir it was going to cause, and to miss her face around.

WHO DO YOU THINK KILLED ELIZABETH? DO YOU HAVE ANY THEORIES?:

Donald Trump? — I feel like this is a valid theory.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S - I am old. Back in the days where you had to scour the internet for spoilers from people who had attended tapings.

Drag Race!

3. What is the best fandom you’ve ever been involved in?

Hmmmm...they are always the best when I’m there. ;)

4. Do you regret getting involved in any fandoms?

I have no RuGrets. But I will say that I don’t like when this fandom gets toxic in the way where like, a favorite goes home and everyone turns on someone. Or just in general people are assholes to one or more of the girls. Someone doesn’t have to be your cup of tea, but these are ALL hardworking talented people or they wouldn’t be on the show. Maybe don’t spent your time ranting about how much you hate reality TV contestants.

11. Who is your current OTP?

#bitney - I have so much fun writing them because Bianca is such a sarcastic, witty cunt and Courtney is such a zany free spirit. I think (as with most fanfic writers), I see aspects of my own personality - both things I like and dislike about myself, as well as a level of wish fulfillment, in them, and that’s where I connect. Plus they are hot.

12. Who is your current OT3?

Hmmmm...I’m having a lot of fun writing Adore, Jinkx, and Alaska for Galactica so we can go with that.

13. Any NoTPs?

This will make a lot of you irritated but...I find most Biadore kind of cringey because I see them in such a sister/BFF/family-type relationship. Which is why I always try to make them related in an AU.

Adore/Raja in THK is starting to get good. ;) One of my favorite parings in Galactica is Violet/Sutan, which would be obscure in any other context. I also like it when you have to create a back story and it ends up with an interesting pairing, like it was very fun to write Fame/Bianca, Jinkx/Sutan (which has become SCANDALOUS recently), and Raja/Bianca for Galactica. I wouldn’t say I “SHIP” those pairings but I enjoyed writing them and I like when stuff about them pops up in the present day story. In “I’m Not Gay,” I have a friendship between Alyssa Edwards and Katya that is one of my favorite things - it’s not romantic but I love it.

16. Are their any popular ships in your fandom which you dislike?

See #13. I’m sorry you guys, I always start reading with an open mind but usually I just can’t, with a few exceptions like @poppy-hore ‘s new high school AU.

17. Who was your first OTP and are they still your favourite?

Omg...did anyone here watch “A Different World”? Freddie Brooks had a crush on Dwayne Wayne and they never got together on the show because it was all about Dwayne and Whitley but they would have been the BEST couple. TBH I think I had a crush on Freddie (Cree Summer), cause she was just the cutest.

Also I was obsessed with the Steve/Clare relationship on 90210, which no one else seemed to give a fuck about but they had the best chemistry, mostly due to Kathleen Robertson being a stone cold fox. Winnie and Kevin on The Wonder Years. And I guess Ross and Rachel because...

18. What ship have you written the most about?

Bitney. Definitely. Which I felt weird about at first because of the whole “real people” thing but you know...whatever. LOL

19. Is there a ship which you wished you could get behind, but you just don’t feel them?

I don’t judge myself in this manner. You shouldn’t either.

20. Any ships which you surprised yourself by liking?

I didn’t think I would like Trixya or Pearlet as much as I do.

47. Archive Of Our Own, Fanfiction.net or Tumblr - where do you prefer to post and why?

I love the Tumblr community and I always post here, but I think AO3 is great to archive.

48. Do you leave reviews when you read fanfiction? Why/Why not?

Yes! And more often than not, I chat with authors, send asks, etc. The coolest thing about fanfic, to me, is how accessible the writers are. I have made great friends here.

49. Do you care if people comment/reblog your writing? Why/why not?

Sure! It feels great to get notes/feedback/questions/prompts. It shows that something you did made someone feel something, or think about something, and that is really cool. Sometimes it feels as if we are screaming into the void and if people answer back, that is a great relief. I personally feel less alone.

50. How did you get into reading and/or writing fanfiction?

I love to read, and writing is a great outlet for creative energy. It’s fun to fix what is wring with the world. ;)

51. Rant or Gush about one thing you love or hate in the world of fanfiction! Go!

I hate when people feel the need to send vague, nasty anon messages because it most often seems like they target the most sensitive people. For example, I never get those kinds of messages. Why? I assume it’s not because I’m a better writer than people who do. I think it’s because they know that I’m not capable of being bullied.

Anons - you will get a lot farther by engaging with people in a positive way. They might even become your friends.
