Parents that excuse their queerphobia with "you're just confused"

Maybe I am just confused, maybe I do wanna try something new, since when experimenting with something a crime?

We all experimented with different styles at one point, we all tried different things, we all went through phases small or big

We all develop as people and because of it we sometimes feel like maybe trying something new could help, sometimes experimenting during moments of your life were you feel confused actually turns out for the better and we discover things about ourselves we didn't know

So what if I'm just confused? What would that change? What negative impact would it have except teaching me my family would love me through every choice I make?

Since when is confusion a valid reason to not support the people you gave birth to? Everyone likes being validated, even if their feelings are bound to go away, what's wrong with that?

TLDR: support your children queer children regardless of what reasoning you think they could have
