Clint’s not sure what exactly set Barnes off. Not sure what he thinks is going on, or what he’s seeing. He is positive, however, that this is a terrible time for whatever the hell’s going on in that fucked up head of his. Thankfully, Clint’d had the forethought to drag the guy out of the way, into a shadow-filled alley, a few seconds ago, when he’d first noticed Barnes starting to get antsy. God knows what he might do in a crowd of people.

Now, Clint’s got his back to a wall, a knife to his throat, and this is not a position he likes to be in. He can handle his own in a fight, is well-trained and agile as hell, but there’s not an easy way out of the hold Barnes has him in, and Clint’s not stupid enough to think he can take the Winter Soldier on in a fight and win. So he stays where he is. Doesn’t make any sudden movements and keeps his hands where they can be seen, ignoring his racing pulse.

“You have terrible timing.” His voice is low, remains calm, his gaze locked onto unseeing, glaring eyes. He swallows, and there’s enough pressure on the knife that a bead of blood wells up beneath the blade and slowly rolls down the column of his throat. Fantastic. He’s going to get his throat slit by his fake husband on their fake honeymoon. Awesome.

“Your name is James Buchanan Barnes. I’m Clint Barton. We’re on a mission, pretending to be newlyweds on our honeymoon. It’s stupid and you complain a lot but you aren’t in any danger, right now. You’re safe, Barnes.” The only one in danger here is Clint. “Otoydi, soldat.” The switch to Russian is a gamble, and he's not exactly fluent, but Clint’s flying blind here. He’s just hoping to hell it doesn’t wind up setting him off worse.

"Oh fuck, just like that, man." Clint moaned loudly, toned body shivering and squirming, pushing himself against Eric's tongue as the man worked his hole. The vigilante had his leather pants pushed down and around his knees, limiting his movement while leaving his ass fully exposed. His black and purple jacket was still on, though zipped half-way down, hairy chest just peeking out.

The warm wetness of Eric's tongue felt incredible, the man's beard kept tickling him in just the right spot that made his hole wink against those lips. "Stick that tongue in there, get it nice and wet 'cause you're gonna fuck me next." Clint said, turning around to grab the back of the man's head and push it harder between his cheeks.

He knew he shouldn't be doing this, especially while wearing his hawkeye costume. A part of him was afraid Eric would recognize his clothes, even though he was still just an underground vigilante – but the rush of getting tongue fucked by this guy while spoke louder as he arched his back, letting out moan after moan. "Fucking hell, you're good."

A Shining Example

This is a fill for today’s  @flashfictionfridayofficial  prompt: [#FFF243 Glitter and Blues]  as well as my @thehawkeyesbingo  square  C3 - "I've never been so humiliated in my life."

Fandom:  MCU/Marvel Pairing:  Clint Barton/Bucky Barnes Rating: General Tags:  Avenger Tower,  Avengers as Family,  Mistake, Hurt Feelings Summary: When a live-streamed demonstration goes wrong,  Clint has to reassure Bucky things aren’t as bad as they seem.

"I've never been so humiliated in my life."  Bucky groaned,  shaking his head vigorously to send a shower of shiny particles flying every which way.    “No one’s ever going to take me seriously again.” 

“I said I was sorry!” Clint apologized, backing slowly away.   “I swear that was supposed to be a grappling arrow!”   It had been Kate’s idea to live-stream an Avengers training session,  which meant that instead of seeing a demonstration of how to use a line to scale the side of a building, thousands of people watched as a blast of rainbow   sparkles covered the former Hydra’s Fist head to toe. 

“Now you’re the Glitter Soldier!”  Yelena crowed,  nearly bent double with laughter.    “So much for fading into the shadows!”  

Bucky muttered something in Russian that Clint was thankful most of their audience wouldn’t understand before  stalking out the door.   Clint bit back a curse of his own.  “Okay you two - your turn.   Give our audience their money’s worth.” Kate started to explain that the livestream was free, but Clint was already out the door in search of his boyfriend.  

Bucky wouldn't be that hard to find; after all, he was leaving a twinkling trail behind him.   The fleet of cleaning ‘bots in residence at the Tower were going to have their work cut out for them. 

Clint finally tracked Bucky down to one of their favorite hideouts - the ledge behind the giant Avengers symbol that shone out across the city.   He sat down beside Bucky who was staring out at the skyline.   “Sweetheart?” 

“Go ‘way,”  Bucky mumbled in reply,  “before you get covered in these damn sparkles, too.”   

“Would it help if I said the glitter is water soluble?  Kate’s very eco-conscious.”    That got a snort in reply, which Clint took as a good sign.    “I’m sorry I screwed up and embarrassed you.”  

“Not your fault.  Well, mostly not. It’s just…”  Bucky sighed heavily. “I’ve spent so long being seen as a villain. I was hoping these videos would let people see who I really am.  How I’m trying to make up for all the terrible things I did. And instead, I looked like a fool.” 

“Welcome to my world,” Clint replied.   “Remember the photos of me climbing out of a dumpster?  And all the memes they generated?”  

“Yeah - Natasha sent me a couple - still got them saved on my phone.  What’s your point?” 

“That we’re not perfect.  Not any of us.  Ask Tony about the birthday party where he and Rhodes trashed his mansion.  Then there’s the cringe-worthy Captain America PSAs  and Darcy’s stories about Thor’s first few days on Earth.” Clint paused for a moment.    “But when push comes to shove, everyone knows that we’ll step up and be the heroes the world needs.  And you’ll be right there with us.” 

Bucky nodded thoughtfully.  “You go around giving everyone pep talks like this?” 

“Only people I care about.”  Clint leaned over and pressed a kiss against Bucky’s glitter-sprinkled cheek.

BEST EXPERIENCE : Honestly, this come back to tumblr after being away for like 3 years. The friendships and dynamics I've built with Clint on my return has been amazing, and I'm also very glad people like how I write him, cause I've pretty much picked up comic Clint and said "he's mine now. i'm giving him a whole new arc/plot/story to explore and away from canon" and people are buying into that. Thank you so much everyone! I love all my friends and writing partners here so much <3

RP PET PEEVES / DEALBREAKERS : Uhhh, pet peeves? I don't quite get what's with people not liking posts anymore or using the reply/comment feature more, like if you see someone posting an hc. Take a second to read? Give it a like or comment a heart even, if you're really that pressed to control your likes..... Dealbreakers, I haven't encountered anyone, I guess it'd be just if I pushed to write or make smut centric, but no one is doing that.

MUSE PREFERENCES : I like characters that have an internal struggle (lol that could be anyone). I don't know. I try to write so many types of characters, but characters like Clint I always come back too. Honestly, whatever is the character type that's been Clint Barton and Pepper Potts.

PLOTS OR MEMES : Memes are usually good to start, but I definitely wouldn't mind doing more plotting and giving a general direction to a thread. Although, really memes are great, and I truly appreciate those who send a bunch of memes, or don't mind treating some memes as one shots ( i love one shots ; just look at the length of some of my ask responses )

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES : Both. I want more shorter threads right now, but I have a knack for getting wordy and writing long things. This is why length matching does not matter, as long as there is enough substance to continue or something to help move something forward; a shorter reply to a longer reply is good; just as I tend to take a shorter thing and get longer with. This is also why I tend to like or mention with meme responses, like you can just reblog/save this and treat this as little one shot/drabble I wrote for you. I also tend to do the same.

BEST TIME TO WRITE : I don't get a lot of work, I am home all the time. So i'm bored a lot. So literally anytime, although I have a tendency to write a lot more late at night. For me, why I'm not writing is usually mood, or I don't have a very good set up for writing long haul; so if my neck, back, or hands and wrist start to cramp up cause my sit down to write isn't a good position/only position. That usually defeats me; like after I post this I will probably take a break, stretch, keep on my break and write a bit in a few hours.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S) : Yes and no / I don't know. I know I'm the type of neurospicy where Clint Barton has rotten my brain for like the past 15 years or something; and I've been writing him for like 10 years; that I'm probably funny like Clint is, but who actually knows lol. I try to be normal and healthy with muse and mun separation; even if his whole recovery arc is very important and real to me; and I will live in the delusion that is what I am getting from the comics as in I will just write it myself on my roleplay blog (this is a joke; legally I have to say that I think)

DO YOU USE DICTIONARIES OR THESAURUSES OFTEN WHEN WRITING?  :  you know. i sort’ve do. it’s not like i’m breaking them out at every opportunity but i am very forgetful and i will often google a word just to make sure i’m right in its meaning and sometimes a different word will be right on the tip of my tongue but i won’t be able to think of it, so i always comb through synonyms of the words i do remember to try and find it. i don’t like to go too crazy but i def do shop around a bit for the best sounding words when i’m trying to put my best foot forward in a reply.

WOULD YOU CONSIDER WRITING THEM NOW?  :  absolutely NOT. i’ve been thinking on this for hours because i think i’ve forgotten the name of my actual first muse, but i’m pretty sure my second just had two buffy the vampire slayer names just MASHED together and she had a buffy fc too, back when like. well. on forum they weren’t really fcs and we didn’t really care about them as much as we do here, so i just used a random buffy actress to like. give the general vibe. i don’t remember a single thing about her other than these facts and i think she should stay gone. actually. i will admit it here, since it’s in the interest of this meme night event - one fun fact about me is that for my first full year of rp i used to only use people who appeared on buffy as fcs, which meant i had the entire main cast claimed but i ALSO had like. random extra #1, #2 and #3.

3 Ships: *inhales* Three is such a low number for the amount of insane inside of my braincells uhhhhhh... Shepherd x Kaiden Alenko, Clint Barton x Natasha Romanova, and uhh... uh... most flavors of x Theron Shan, tbh. Obviously, I’m particularly a hoe for Imperial Agent x Theron Shan, but like. This is a Theron loving household.

First Ship: The first thing I remember actively being like “yes, they should be in a relationship” was Elizabeth Swann x Will Turner from Pirates of the Caribbean. Wee little Dot rooted for them and tbh I still do, lol.

Currently Consuming: I just finished lunch of pizza from an absolutely fabulous local place. Thin crust, my beloved.

Currently Watching: Not a whole lot? I’m so hit or miss about investing in TV, I commit to like one thing at a time and then I go through that post-consumption like depressive period, lol. That said, I last watched two docuseries off of Netflix - “Earthstorm” on natural disasters and “Broken” which is about consumer products and the way demand can be manufactured by companies and issues it can cause, etc.

He glares, but seeing as he’s also currently picking bits of garbage out of his hair, it’s not as effective as it could have been. “Gee, thanks. I hadn’t noticed.” The garbage is promptly thrown at Bucky's face (and Clint never misses) because screw him. Clint’s very clearly had a shit day—he’s got two black eyes, a busted lip, his head is bleeding, his body’s beat to hell, probably sporting a few cracked ribs, and he’s pretty sure he’s got garbage in his ass crack—and Barnes suddenly has jokes? Has decided to be funny? Nah, no thank you, Clint does not need the sass, today. All he wants is to fix his bow, take a nap, and have a long, hot shower, not necessarily in that order. “Was there an actual reason you came here, or was it just to make fun of me?”
