A thoughtful Meal

Ei can't cook. That is common knowledge by now. Were it anyone else she'd decline and she had before when the traveller asked if she could make them a meal she simply responded, "I can take care of anything else, but not that."

Of course she had tried multiple times to cook which ended up in absolute failure- somehow burning not just the food but the bowls and chopsticks as well.. at times she'd simply give up for the day and try again when it crossed her mind.

Miko visited her often with little gifts (sugar, spice and everything nice) and would hang out for hours and hours. Sometimes they'd go on small little dates together and enjoy each other's company. Ei realized that it was never her who went our of her way to visit, and that she was never the one to bring gifts or ask to hang out. So much time meditating about eternity by herself she often forgot about her relationships with others, including her "friend". But this time she was determined to make an effort. After reading many cooking books and analyzing them a little too literally she got to work. Miko's favorite food was Kitsune Udon and according to the book it was only 25 minutes of work. It can't be that hard, right?

1 hour later.

The kitchen and the food could only be described as a mess. How she managed to ruin such a simple recipe is beyond celestia's knowledge but she had the plate in hand and tried to make it look as good as possible though it didn't really help make it any appetizing..

Ei had called Miko already and luckily she arrived just in time, after all the walk from Narukami shrine to inazuma city was a long one.

"It must be important if you made me walk all the way from Mt. Yougou to over here.", Miko huffed. "I would never make you walk that far if it wasn't important!", responded Ei quickly as her lover sat down on the miniature futon, looking up at Ei in curiosity due to her oddly jittery behaviour.

"Is everything alright, Ei?"

"Yes, Just wait right there"

It only took a few moments for Ei to come back with a bowl with Miko's favorite food- an incredibly butchered version of it. Miko blinked for a moment, unsure of what to say.

"-this is, ah.. what is this?"

"Kitsune udon"

...

"Did you make this?"

"Yes- do you like it?"

Miko was torn.. was Ei being a sweetheart or trying to kill her? The food did not look edible at all but she couldn't help but gaze at Ei's hopeful expression. Waiting for her girlfriend to taste it, to anyone else the staring would be unnerving but not to Miko. Miko sighed, saying her goodbye to the world in her head as she finally did taste the food Ei spent so long making for her. First bite was hard to swallow.. Miko's eyes welled up with tears and how bad the taste was- seriously how did this girl mess up so bad? Miko didn't want to potentially poison herself but the thought that Ei wanted to do something nice for her made her heart skip a beat.. it was sweet, very sweet.. too sweet. It made her happy, so happy. Miko decided to simply put her life on the line and eat the whole bowl. She swallowed the food and put the chopstick down.

"Did you like it?" Ei's voice was soft, curious. But with an underlying tone of insecurity

"It was- edible"

Ei's eyes lit up- it was edible! That's better than she's ever accomplished. The sight being too cute to Miko who had stood up to be besides her girl. Ei looked at her with a soft smile as Miko pressed herself closer.

"I can't believe you tried cooking for me, what made you want to do it, hm?"

"I thought it'd be nice to do something for you for a change.."

"Thank you for the food- next time go easy on the salt though"

"I'll.. i'll keep that in mind"

And with that Miko took her beloved's cheek and pulled her into a sweet little kiss on the lips. Miko's lips lingered before pulling away and smiling at her.

"Since i'm already here and it's late you wouldn't possibly make me walk all the way to the shrine at this hour, would you?"

i would be super excited bc snezhnaya does not offer much in the way of beaches and he's agreeing simply because it's making me happy. he'd stay out of the water for the most part, watching me splash around and make a fool of myself (his words not mine). however, he doesn't protest (much) if i pick him up and carry him out into the water and he will start a splash fight once he's there. another thing he enjoys about a beach trip is getting to put sunscreen on me (he insists on doing it himself, claiming i'd do it incorrectly but i know he simply wants the excuse to touch me) sadly, he doesn't have to worry about getting sunburnt (puppet abilities ig) so i don't get to return the favor

🎃 - What Halloween costumes would you and your f/o wear? Do you match?

let it be known that he is not picking the costume. he'd think it's stupid and wouldn't want to (again, he agrees because he wants me happy - though i bet he'd secretly enjoy it with certain outfits) i feel like vampires suit us pretty well! i think he'd enjoy the matching aspect (but not outwardly, you know?)

like how he usually talks, very tsundere in nature. he puts a little more effort into being flowery with his language when he learns i like romantic letters like that but it's hard for him. but somehow he accidentally comes up with the sweetest things to say without meaning it. he'd also go all out with a wax seal and stuff, but then claim that it's 'no big deal' if i comment on it.

it would be a pretty standard date for the three of us! given narukami island has its fair share of beaches (plus the other islands of inazuma), we go pretty frequently. ei spends more of her time reading on the sandy part of the beach (likely under the shade of an umbrella) while miko alternates between playing in the water with me and soaking up the sun.

ei tries to stay classy with her costume while miko doesn't mind if they're more revealing... whereas I'm not all that picky. so miko usually helps us find costumes and yes! we like matching. so like a trio of angels or witches - that way we all can dress to our comfort but still match~

ei: pretty calligraphy, wax seal, the whole thing. as for the contents, she's very sweet and her letters reflect that. she finds that it's easier to express her feelings through the written word so she'll say a lot of things that she finds it too hard or too flustering to say in person.

miko: just as teasing and flirty as she is in person. it's as if she wants me to be red by the time I'm finished reading it. though, her letters have their softer moments like if I'm away for an extended period of time and she starts to miss me. she also would be the type to sign the letter with a lipstick mark or to mist perfume over it

As a lesbian, I would like to speak on that bizarre rant if I may. This is gonna be long. CW for mention of s//icide.

Yaeyato shippers, or any m/f shippers for the most part don’t just ship m/f ships to be lesbophobic. Myself along with many other lesbians actually quite enjoy some of the m/f ships in Genshin, and were actually talked over—by non-lesbians—when we stood up for the m/f shippers being harassed.

It’s incredibly insulting to compare someone shipping two characters with undefined sexualities to ‘oppression’. The ship is legal, the characters don’t have canon sexualities. Oppression is not seeing a ship you don’t like.

It is not lesbian erasure if the character isn’t canonically a lesbian. Yes, it’s a popular head canon with Yae, but that’s all it is, a head canon.

The anon tried their best to brush over the fact that a lot of m/f shippers have been being harassed—“the w/w shippers who SENT THREATS ‘had good intentions’”. Take it from someone on Twitter, threats are the very least of what m/f shippers get. The yaeyato tag was spammed with irl gore, nsfw, and s//cide baits. A few artists had their art “fixed”, too. I’m not sure how sending death threats and spamming tags with gore can be counted as “good intentions.” I very much hope you don’t condone the harassment. I’m ashamed of every one of these freaks who thinks

How can straight people “take” the characters? Everyone can and does enjoy the characters in the way they like. Through shipping, whether it be gay or straight. Once again, NO ONE in Genshin has canon sexualities.

I guarantee the people who like Ittosara and Jeanluc purely to be lesbophobic are few and far between. They’re cute ships, just as cute as Jeanlisa or Sara x the shogun. Also Jeanluc is my jam, so fight me. I can’t speak on behalf of bi folks, but a close friend of mine who is bi loves IttoSara and went through hell for it, so I could be wrong but there seems to be a bit of biphobia in the mix as well from what she told me.

I’m getting tired of people comparing ships they don’t like to oppression.

The ‘representation’ caters to no one and everyone, since no one has defined sexualities.

“It’s stupid to compare death threats to oppression” no, it’s stupid to send gore and death threats to people over a ship. If you think someone shipping something that goes against your head canon is oppression, then you sure are privileged.

I apologize if this is aggressive, but that post made me SO FUCKIN MAD. I love representation as much as the next lesbian, but this ain’t it. Harassing, doxing, threatening, all because of a character who’s not even confirmed to be a lesbian?! I’ve seen the argument that Yae is based off of a lesbian honkai character, but this is a completely different game. Yae can be straight, lesbian, bi, pan, ace, as can all of the Genshin characters, because none of them have confirmed sexualities. People like this just make us look bad.

Yes there are some lesbophobes who ship m/f ships, absolutely. Some of the stuff I’ve seen is revolting. But honestly my heart goes out to anyone who experiences harassment over perfectly fine ships. I really don’t think it’s fair to say m/f ships exist to spite us lesbians or wlw shippers. From what I’ve seen yaeyato shippers and any ‘straight’ ships get a lot of hate, and comparing a freaking ship to oppression? Touch some grass, Anon. Bottom line, both wlw and m/f shippers are always getting harrassed by each other and I’m so fucking sick of it.

Ship IttoSara. Ship KokoSara. Ship JeanLisa. Ship Jeanluc. Ship Eimiko. Ship YaeYato. But FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING UNDER THE FUCKIN SUN stop comparing harmless ships to the oppression we face. Trust me, we have much bigger issues to worry about than a ship not being gay.

A/N: Mm, I really am too behind on posting stories (i have so many help me) so here’s an EiMiko x Me one (it’s our first meeting actually :3) Hope you enjoy!

On first glance, it's a perfectly ordinary day. The sun is warm and there's a faint breeze that made it all too easy to decide to spend the day reading outside. Occasionally, someone will greet April and they'll chat a bit before going about their days.

In short, it's a perfect day.

So, why is she surprised when she hears the sound of the prettiest laughter she's ever heard? Actually, it's two distinct laughs, but both of them are beautiful.

In an effort to put a face to those laughs, April looks up from her book and looks around. As she does, she recognizes the two walking by. How could she not? The Electro Archon is such a distinctive figure that it's impossible to not know her if someone lives in Inazuma.

April lets out a little sigh. They really are beautiful… It's far from the first time she's thought something along these lines, but they wouldn't look twice at her. What would an archon and a kitsune want from some ordinary person like her?

Well, ordinary is not quite a good descriptor, but April certainly holds no status here. Meaning she's ordinary enough in their eyes.

But, oh, only if she could manage to catch their attention. Someone else would certainly ask for a wish to be granted or maybe even ask for a vision, but April's already got one of her own and she has no grand wishes to ask of an archon.

However, who wouldn't want the attention of two stunning ladies? Even a sliver of their attention would leave her giddy for days, she's sure.

"You there~!" A voice calls and April looks around, confused. "Yes, you." April almost gasps when she realizes who's trying to get her attention. "There we go. Why don't you come on over here, hmm?"

Who is April to ignore an invitation like that? Not when Yae Miko is the one calling her over. April nods and shuts her book, quickly getting up and heading over. She bows her head a little once she stops in front of them, her manners guiding her to not offend them in some way.

"Now, now, there's no need for that, darling." Yae says teasingly, chuckling as pink blossoms over April's face. "Let us look at you."

April actually does gasp this time, but she lifts her head as instructed to meet eyes with Yae.

"Good." Yae purrs, smirking when April's blush grows darker. "Who knew it was such a pretty thing staring at us, Ei?"

"Miko…" Raiden says admonishingly, though there's still fondness to her expression.

"Mm…" Yae hums. "I suppose I'll stop teasing her… For now. Though, it does make me curious… Just why were you looking at us, little one?"

Her appraising look sends butterflies through April and she shivers a little. "I just couldn't help but admire you both. You're both incredibly beautiful." She admits even as Yae smirks at her again.

"Oh? How sweet. Is that the only reason? You don't happen to want something, do you?" Yae asks with a raised eyebrow.

April quickly shakes her head. "No? Hmm… This would be your chance to ask, you know?"

"I'm aware." April says softly, the firmness of it causing Yae to laugh.

"Miko, a word?" Raiden says and April watches impassively as the two gather close to whisper to each other. If she were a different type of person, she'd use her shapeshifting powers to enhance her hearing in some way to listen in, but eavesdropping has never been her thing.

So, she waits for them to turn back to her, a little surprised when Raiden is the one to speak to her this time. "We would like to ask you something. Though, please, do not feel pressured to say yes just because of our status, alright?"

April nods and when Raiden smiles at her, it feels like the breath has been stolen from her, or maybe a more apt comparison would be it feels like she's been struck by lightning.

"How would you feel about going on a date with us?" Raiden asks and April's eyes widen. That certainly wasn't what she was expecting her to ask.

"Huh?! You'd really want to… with me??" April asks softly, more stunned that the two that she's been admiring in silence all this time would give her a chance without her even asking for it.

"Mhm. You really are quite pretty." Raiden says and April feels like she could faint. An actual archon is calling her pretty.

"And wouldn't it be such a shame let you slip from our grasp?" Yae asks, smiling a little softer when April looks at her. "After all, we don't bump into someone as pretty as you often."

April smiles at their compliments, looking so adorable to the two that it proves why they've asked this. "I would love to."

"Wonderful." Yae says with a grin. "We can plan details later, but!" She meets eyes with Raiden, who gives a single nod. "You're more than welcome to walk with us now."

"Are you headed somewhere in particular?" April asks curious, not about to say no to spending more time with them.

"Not really." Raiden says, "We're headed vaguely in the direction of the beaches near Ritou, but we couldn't miss out on such lovely weather."

"That sounds lovely. I'll walk with you then." April says, blushing a little when it causes both of them to smile warmly at her.

Her heart stutters when the two of them separate where their arms had been linked, each offering an arm to her. April's sure that her face is bright red as she links her arms with theirs, overwhelmed as she is with the attention.

"Cute…" She hears Yae murmur.

The conversation slowly goes back to what Yae and Raiden had been talking about before. April's more than happy to be there talking with them, especially once they start trying to get to know her.

She's extremely excited for the date they'll go on later. If it's anything like this, it's going to be amazing.
