Hi. I don’t know if requests are still open or if this is the place to request things, but I thought I would give it a try.

I was wondering if you could do number 18 from the milestone event. Akaashi has been kind of down all day. Noticing this, the Reader uses cheesy pick up lines to try to get him to smile. They succeed and it ends in cuddles and kisses. Again, I don’t know if this is where I request things, but I thought I would give it a try.

If requests are closed or you don’t feel like doing this, that’s perfectly fine and I respect your decision.

it was a weekend for unwinding and relaxation with your boyfriend... supposedly. he has been cooped up in his office for hours already without so much as a "good morning" or a simple breakfast together. you understood that akaashi was swamped with paperwork lately– revise this, edit that, but you were worried for him. especially since he had the tendency to go overboard, push himself to his limits, and put pressure on himself to achieve some sort of perfection.

with three soft knocks you peaked your head through his office with a grin. he briefly glanced up at you through his glasses and smiled softly before immediately turning his attention back to the stack of papers on his desk.

you tiptoed toward him, a playful pout on your lips. you were determined to ease the deep frown misplaced on his pretty features.

"can i do something to help, keiji? are you hungry? do you want water?"

he stretched his arms behind his head and you quickly seized the opportunity to sit on his lap. he let out a chuckle, rubbing his eyes tiredly.

"i'm fine, love don't worry about me. sorry i can't spend time with you today–"

"shhh!" you cut him off with a finger to his lips. "don't apologize for not spending time with me, i understand. but you should apologize for not taking care of yourself," you scolded, narrowing your eyes accusingly at him. "are you sure there's nothing i can do to help?"

"i'll wrap it up soon and i promise to take a rest okay?" he placed a chaste kiss on your temple, shuffling over back to his desk. lies. he would end up getting engulfed in his work for hours and you knew this.

"wait, how about that? should i carry it for you?"

he paused and looked up at you confused.

"your hand looks heavy, keiji do you want me to carry it for you?" you cooed at him, taking his hand into yours and snuggling it against your cheek, grinning.

he scoffed, amused but tried to dismiss you once again, not before you squeezed in another cheesy pick-up line.

"come to think of it, your lips also look lonely. would they like to meet mine?" you smothered him with kissy faces until he was eventually smiling wider and wider.

"keiji, you have something in your eye," you mumbled, mustering up a serious tone. he cocked an eyebrow up as you lifted his glasses and cupped his cheeks. "oh wait, it's just the sparkle in them."

he let out a chuckle, covering his face with the back of his hand as he felt his cheeks tingle at your ridiculous advances.

"the pick up lines are gonna get worse and worse unless you take a break, love," you threatened in all seriousness.

"is your name wifi? because i can feel a connection–"

akaashi cut off your last pick-up line attempt by wrapping his arms around you and pulling you to his chest. you felt his body tremble as he let out a hearty chuckle.

"fine, fine. i'm taking a break. you're such an idiot," he mumbled, fighting back a grin.

"but you love me," you tease, poking at his sides and engulfing him into a big embrace. almost as if you were trapping him there. comfortable silence fell between you in his office as he cradled you in his arms. you listened intently to his steady heartbeat and stayed like that for a while, exchanging wordless smiles and feathery kisses with each other.
