St Mary's Church, Thornton-le-Moors. Zenit E. Ilford FP4.

From certain angles the village of Thornton-le-Moors in Cheshire is quite aesthetically. Depending on where you point your camera it can look like a quaint countryside paradise. But take a step back and it become obvious that it exists in the shadow of the Stanlow Oil Refinery.

With this in mind I framed my shots carefully when I went to take photos of St Mary's Church. Sadly the weather was quite dull.

San Francisco - My Next Art School - 1979

As this was my next school right after CCSF, and I wanted something for myself for my photography - First Latino in the family with a BFA Degree in Photography in which made my dad Cried when Paul handed my Diploma. So from 1978 to 1981 I learn more and manage to meet new friends of the love of photography - There I learn how to do Gum Bichromate Printing, Dye Transfer, C41 & E-6 Processing, Portrait, and Figure Nude photography, Heavy learning into Studio Still Life, and Fashion photography, did it all, and as seen the news of Digital camera news as it was mentioned in the photo magazines was still in the young feature as we were told about it. Here is a Self Portrait of myself.

Opiskelija Niemen budjettiin reilun viidenkympin leikkaus tekee kuitenkin ison loven. Säännöllisten kulujen eli vuokran, sähkön ja joukkoliikennelipun jälkeen Niemelle on jäänyt aiemmin käteen noin 84 euroa ruokaan, vaatteisiin, lääkkeisiin ja muihin menoihin. Asumistuen leikkauksen ja vuokran korotuksen jälkeen hänelle jää enää alle neljä euroa kuukaudessa yllä mainittuihin kuluihin. Niemi on selvinnyt aiemmin ilman opintolainaa, mutta asumistuen leikkauspäätös ajoi hänet ottamaan sitä. Se harmittaa häntä.

Kapee-Kylmäniemi työskentelee kojeistoasentajana sähkökaappeja valmistavassa tehtaassa. Bruttokuukausipalkka ennen veroja ja muita vähennyksiä on noin 2 300 euroa sisältäen lomarahat. Tämän jutun asumistukikone kertoo, että Kapee-Kylmäniemen neljän hengen perheen asumistukea leikataan enemmän kuin samankokoisilta kotitalouksilta Ikaalisissa, jossa keskimääräinen tuen leikkaus on lähes 105 euroa. – Rahaa ei jää säästöön yhtään. Lapsille on vaikeampaa ostaa vaatteita, kenkiä ja muuta tarpeellista, Kapee-Kylmäniemi sanoo.

Test shots. Zenit EM. Ilford FP4.

I had options when I took the Zenit EM out for it maiden voyage after a visit to be refurbished. Whilst I only have one lens for my Zenit E I have been given a load of compatible lenses for the EM. They where all primes and in various conditions. This was just as much a test of those as it was of the camera. It looks like the telephoto glass I have had as long as I have had the camera leaks a little light. That will need further testing.

As with the E I opted to use Ilford FP4 as it has a wide exposure latitude. I was relying on the build in meter and an iPhone app for metering.

Captured in this image is an ornamental electric light, a stunning example of Baroque style, originally positioned at the main gate of the Imperial Palace in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo, from the late 1880s to the mid-1890s.
