Why Am I Fit at 48?
If you have been reading my blog, you know I am passionate about health, wellness, and fitness, that I returned to fitness at the age of 40 (I am 49 years old next month), have utilized exercise to manage my life, and have a holistic approach to fitness.
My return to fitness was first practical. After the birth of my last child, I spent four years being sedentary, though I was very busy being a wife, mother of four, home schooling mother (and all THAT entailed), and
My return to fitness was for survival. As life changed, including a marriage that began to fall apart, I began looking forward to each morning’s exercise in order to pursue more fitness goals and clear my mind with my outdoor run. I unabashedly say that running saved my life; while I ran, I prayed and spoke words of affirmations to myself!
My return to fitness benefits others. Passion is contagious; and a fit body is attracting. Women and men complimented me on my “guns,” my toned arms; neighbors asked how far I ran when they saw me running, and friends offered to pay to help them achieve their own results! The reason I blog, FaceBook, and Instagram is to share my fitness journey with you - I want to encourage you, letting you know this is NOT about aiming for perfection, but, targeting your most healthy you!
