Venting…….

You know, I was already incredibly frustrated and angry** and then my air purifier filter arrived.

It wasn’t the one in the description. So since Amazon goofed, just return it, right?

First of all, I obviously couldn’t do a direct replacement since their description was wrong (as evidenced by reviews by people ordering AFTER I ordered mine). But since it was their mistake this should be simple enough to ask for a refund and just order a new one…

Right?

They only use UPS for returns. Fine.

They now charge $7.99 to have UPS pick it up.

Not fine.

The nearest store to drop it for free is 50miles away.

The nearest drop off box, the other free option, is 10 miles away. I just went to that town four hours before to drop off the pickup to be repaired. I dunno how long that will take, but I won’t be heading back to that town until it’s fixed or a week and a half from now when I do the shopping***.

To use the drop box they expect you to put it in a box. They mailed it in an envelope, but I’m supposed to get a box!

I need to print the shipping label. My printer isn’t working. After close to an hour I got it to work, but the paper jammed, I needed more paper, hunted more paper, and….it ran out of ink!

Amazon WILL mail you a shipping label. They will “just” charge you $1 for it.

So, now I need to find a way to get it printed, then find a box, then hope I can get to the drop box to mail it soon. Until it is returned I don’t get my refund. Until I get my refund I can’t order another filter. I need that new filter soon so I can breathe to sleep.

Nowhere within 50 miles sells these filters so I have to order them, but damn it has gotten to be almost a monthly headache. I’ve had them arrive smashed every way you can imagine. The packages have arrived torn open missing things, I’ve had them throw them loose in a box with big, heavy things.

Often they threw them in with bottles of dog medicine what have leaked all over them. So often I’ve tried to arrange to order them far apart, only for them to delay shipment of one or the other until they could be thrown in the same damn box. I got spared that this month because they were “out” of the dog medicine. Oh, they have it despite cancelling my order, just listing it as a “new” item at a higher price.

But it’s this damn return process, when there is NO way for me to return their screw up without costing me money and time, that’s making me crazy.

You know what? I think Amazon hopes any rural or poor customers go away. As someone both rural and poor I am ready to punch something. Too bad there is no personification of Amazon for me to beat up!

*** I say “shopping” but since I will have to pay for this repair I don’t know if I’ll be buying anything but animal feed.

I was sitting on the couch, staring at the ceiling while listening to music, I was sore and tired but not hungry for once. We must have just come back from a job.

Showing off to Peter Parker that we can shoot "webs" too, mocking his wrist motion as venom shot a black stringy "web" from my forearm and we began swinging from building to building after a target (p sure we almost crashed into the side of a building immediately).

The first ever time venom got to drive our motorcycle and went stupid went crazy. I was fucking terrified but it turned into a lot of fun lol. Probably one of our first bonding experiences. I still remember the big open dessert road, the sun was just going down and there wasn't a building or gas station for the next 50miles.

The many motels and bus stops we slept at, usually opting to sleep wrapped up in venom than risking the bodily fluid and bed bug ridden sheets. Or if it was a bus stop he would stay awake and wake me up if someone was approaching. (This made my sleep really shallow but it was something.)

After our fight with Carnage I had a thick scar from the middle of my sternum to the bottom of my ribs in the center of my chest. It must have been because it happened after he tore me and venom apart from each other. Venom healed it immediately but it still left a mark.
