I imagine FF wearing one of those Fitness monitor watches for like A Day at someone’s insistence and the entire team is convinced it’s broken because it’s just constantly sending off High Heart Alerts but FF’s face just looks like :|
FF's BPM is at a steady 120 all day except for a half an hour around 5 PM where it dropped down to around 72 BPM.
Kevin: What happened here?
FF: My grandma called to tell me about these puppies she saw.
Kevin taking notes: Interesting.

Just a drawing here, with a dark story.
Tumblr media
Nicole and Yskah, toghether with some other friends, in order to find money to improve themselves at the university, decided to film and sell some NSFW videos on some sites.
Having access to the correct equipment and with the knowledge provided by their work at the university, they're able to always produce high quality materials.
One day Nicole and Yskah decide to do something extreme: a real resuscitation session (something similar to what they recently saw in a movie but this time for real).
One night they sneak into the Life Science department depot, the perfect place to realize their video given the amount of equipment they can find there. They have ECG monitors, special cameras with AI detectors and their laptop to define all the details for their movie. A video that will surely sell a lot.
They both hook up to an ECG machine (with their names changed for privacy reasons) and decide by chance who will be the one whos heart will be stopped. The coin decides for Nicole while Yskah will have to restart her heart after 2 minutes from the arrest. "Don't be worried - Yskah says - with this jewel I'll restart your heart... in an heartbeat". She's holding with her hands the pads of a new manual defibrillator they found in the depot. To stop Nicole's heart, Yskah will administer her an important dose of a strong negative chronotropic drug they stole from the pharmacy lab.
Yskah prepare the IV cannula on Nicole's right arm and the video starts with her lying down on a surgical bed they found there. They're both completely naked in front of the camera and even if what they're doing is extremely dangerous they're both quite relaxed. Both their heart rates are in the hundred with Nicole's one a little higher (understandable given the situation) but they trust each other so they feel both confident.
"I'm going to administer you the drug now, just lay down your head, close your eyes and relax". Yskah says.
The syringe with the drug is inserted into the cannula and the compound is slowly released into Nicole's bloodstream. "It feels so cold" she says.
At first nothing happens, Nicole's HR seems to remain unchanged with the beeps from the machine being strong and steady as they were before. Suddenly a "Uuuh" from Nicole's mouth is heard. "It's kicking in, my chest has become so heavy" she says. On the monitor 102 bpm becomes 85, then 72 then 61, then they fall down to 45. Nicole squezes her eyes, the sensation she's feeling is terrible. The slower Nicole's heart becomes the deeper her breathing becomes. The time between two beeps seems now infinite.
Nicole's body seems completely relaxed now, her head turns on the right as she passes out... 32 bpm, then 23... 15... 7... zero. The timer on the screen starts: Nicole's heart has been stopped.
With the two minutes lag before starting the resus procedure it's now Yskah's heart that's changing its pace. She looks really concerned and her heart rate increases visibly. She's holding the defib pads and her hands are shaking. Those two minutes are never ending to her, just standing there near Nicole looking at her motionless chest. The continuous beep from Nicole's monitor is covered by the hammering from Yskah's one.
The two minutes elapse and with a trembling voice Yskah says: "I'm going to restart her heart now!". She places the pads on Nicole's chest: one under her right clavicle, the other on her left side, next to her left breast, exactly like the manual says. By placing the pads she looks at Nicole's bare chest, the idea that inside of it her heart is not beating and she's responsible for this is like a stab in Yskah's heart. Her HR jumps to 156 bpm and as she delivers the first charge she starts crying.
As the electricity enters Nicole's chest her upper body jumps for a second over the bed to fall down on it right after. 164 bpm for Yskah who looks completely unable to handle the situation. Nicole's flat line on the monitor shows the peak given by the defibrillator, a small beat follows it and then... nothing again.
"Nicole!?" she says just before starting crying even more when she sees that nothing changed on her monitor.
The defib is ready again, Yskah re-places the pads on Nicole's chest, her skin has become so cold and pale. She delivers the charge and again the jump, again the peak, again a small beat... and again nothing. "NICOLE! - she screams - wake up!" But Nicole's line remains flat.
Yskah is now in panic, her hands are shacking so much and her heart rate goes over 180 bpm. She has so much adrenaline in circle that her heart starts skipping like crazy and everything is clearly visibile on her monitor.
Minutes pass as, in total despair, each time the defib recharges, Yskah deliver a schock to Nicole's chest and each time nothing changes: nothing more than a jump, a peak and a small beat from Nicole body.
Nicole has been in cardiac arrest for more then 20 minutes now, a time so long that even the small beat after the shock disappears.
"NICOLE, WAKE UP! WAKE UP! - Yskah screams and cry - WHY IT'S NOT WORKING!?". She has delivered so many shocks to Nicole, trying so many different places for the pads, there are now burnings all over her chest. She was so panicked she hasn't given to Nicole a single chest compression since the resus started.
A strong stimulant administered directly into Nicole's heart in the first minutes of this thing would have maybe saved her, counteracting the drug Yskah gave her but they completely ignored it while preparing for the video.
The video stops with the security guards breaking into the depot attracted by the shoutings. The scene they see is surreal: two naked women in front of cameras, hooked up to ECG machines, one standing with defib pads in her hands screaming, shouting and crying, the other one lying in front of her on a bed, pale, life-less in a clear state of cardiac arrest.
Nicole's life ends at 29 for a "stunt" gone wrong.
Take home messages:
-for not properly trained personnel, training disappears in time of need.
-do not improvise things or try "strange" things.
-a defibrillator does nothing if the heart is not fibrillating.

“A wish your heart makes” chapter 7: Souls reconnected
Mario slowly opened his eyes, he had fallen asleep? When did that happen? He felt something on his face and chest then heard what sounded like something rebreathing into a paper bag next to him. He finally realised that he was in his and Luigi’s bedroom, the sun was rising over buildings from Luigi’s window, Mario glanced at his alarm clock, it read: 6:17 AM, he was wearing loose, vertical red and white striped pyjamas, Mario then noticed he had a breathing mask on his face and on his bedside desk, what looked to be a respirator, moving up and down at a slow pace, finally he looked down to see Luigi, laying on his chest, wrapping his arms around his waist and heartbeat softly fluttering against Mario’s belly. Mario looked down to see on his right wrist was a small black strap with a small screen, the screen had a ♥️ icon and beneath it in small writing read: 40 BPM, Mario then realised he wasn’t breathing he took in a quick breath and his wrist strap beeped, showing his heart rate spiked to 45 bpm “Hey-Hey! You’re okay!” Luigi said suddenly awake and sat up putting his hands on his shoulders “just relax! Can... can you breathe?” What kind of question was that? Of course he could breathe- Mario then found he just didn’t have the energy to, he could only dart his eyes away as a response “that answers that..” luigi sighed. He made sure Mario was comfortable, fluffing his multiple pillows piled up behind him and pulling the blanket over him up to his shoulders “is that better? Warmer?” Mario then realised he was a bit cold but his arms, legs and body were warmer then before but his hands, feet and face were still freezing, Luigi presses his hand to Mario’s head before he started rubbing his cheeks “warmer?” Mario tried to smile, he looked down at the mask and then back to Luigi as if to ask ‘please take it off’ Luigi tensed up as he lifted it slightly and held his hand over Mario’s mouth, after a few seconds Luigi pulled his hand away and placed the oxygen mask back on him, adjusting it to make Mario as comfy as possible “no.. you can’t breathe without it!” Luigi whispered sternly, he took a breath before he continued “you passed out and your breathing was slow and wheezy, we took you to the doctor, heh- he said it was an honour to help the guys who saved Brooklyn..” Mario couldn’t help but smile ‘the GUYS who saved Brooklyn’ Mario felt pride well up in his chest after hearing people saw Luigi as a hero too. Luigi put his hand on Mario’s chest and smiled before continuing “they-they said your body was to exhausted to breathe on your own so, they checked us over, thankfully that Super-Star healed all our physical injuries, so they gave us the respirator, heart rate monitor and sent us home, and- and I promise I won’t leave your side until you’re at least breathing on your own..” Mario looked up a him then away, Luigi seemed to read his thoughts “the Princess, Toad and DK went to check up on their homes and they said they’d come visit to see how you were doing so...... just focus on resting, the doc said that your heart rate was as low as it could be to still keep you alive, but if you’re too tired to keep it beating, I’ll do it for you..” he smiled placing his hands over his chest with a wink, Mario smiled as if to say ‘well let’s hope I’m strong enough’ Luigi led back down on his chest ‘Ba-bump...’ ‘Ba-bump...’ ‘Ba-bump...’ Ba-bump...’ Luigi sighed as he snuggled in closer “I’ll never take this sound for granted ever again..” Mario and Luigi’s eyes widened when they swore they saw the golden string reappear, Luigi drifted off to sleep, Mario smiled and closed his eyes~~~~~Mario slept the rest of the day and the next, Luigi monitoring him constantly, only leaving to eat and use the bathroom. By day three, Mario’s heart rate monitor read: 72 BPM. It was early morning, Luigi was adjusting the oxygen mask to make Mario more comfortable, he took it off momentarily to adjust the straps, his heart then skipped a beat when he felt something warm on his hand. He looked down and smiled in relief.. Mario was breathing on his own again.
-The End.

Junior Rhythm Dance at 2024 US Nationals
this first team, Epps/Gilman- never saw them before - she's only 14, he's 18, but skating together for 8 years already. coached by Slava Uchitel and Coomes/Buckland. the longevity shows - their unison is good, seem detail oriented and have a nice performance quality -
this young team from NJ Li/LeCoq (13/16 yo) skated to Debbie Gibson which is pretty perfect 80s for baby juniors, but their coaches/choreographer Kristin Fraser and Igor Lukanin did the Wing/Lowe thing and sped up a song from 72 to 103 bpm - i know nobody else cares 😅 but it takes me out of it instantly - songs usually sound just wrong when you do that
Tumblr media
these are also the judges for the senior rhythm dance. Stephanie Zastrow will be the tech caller on thursday
Amy Cui/Kenny Eckert the most experienced looking of the 1st group despite a twizzle error - are a Novi team and were 7th at JGP Gdansk in the fall. US dance is pretty deep that even in the first group of juniors there's promise and some polish. but it's rare to hear music that isn't being done by other teams

Day 72 of trying to guitar... i guess
today i found out i can tap Eddie Van Halen style, like actually well, with speed. i don't get how or why but i am just happy about it (the video is of me doing it). other than that smells like teen spirit is going well and i can basically play it like normal with the normal bpm and with actual quality. i also finally got new strings but am too scared to put them on so i just told a cousin who knows to guitar when can i come over and you show me and generally give me some guitar tips.

Today's compilation:
Super Eurobeat, Volume 81 1997 Eurobeat
Well, folks; my brain's been turned into absolute mush from listening to all 72 minutes of this CD here. Today was the day that I decided to take my first ever plunge into the vast abyss that is Eurobeat, and I have to say that I definitely have some regrets about it. While I find this music's origins and mish-mashing of different genres and styles to be pretty interesting, at the end of the day, it's all just way too maximal for my own tastes; too much sugar, too much bubblegum, and too much speed. I really dislike it, pretty viscerally.
Eurobeat pulls from a lot of different strains of dance music, but if you don't really know what it sounds like, it's the niche that became somewhat popular in the US, thanks entirely to the Dance Dance Revolution stations that have been an arcade staple all across the country since 1999. Eurobeat is primarily made by Italians, but is released almost exclusively throughout Japan. And today's compilation is a release from the genre's juggernaut series, Super Eurobeat, which, discounting all its side series, still ended up totaling an eye-popping 250 volumes between the years of 1990 and 2018. And that averages out to almost nine releases a year, folks. It's simply one of the largest and longest-lasting compilation series that's  ever been released.
So, Eurobeat is a blend of the following: Eurodisco, Eurodance, Italo-disco, Italo-dance, hi-NRG, trance, and happy hardcore. And it tends to very transparently mix older sounds and approaches with more contemporary ones too.
Like, take this song, for example: "Heartbeat," by Nathalie:
youtube
This one uses mindless, meaningless, and empty English-language 80s Eurodisco lyrics and vocal melody, a pumping, uptempo, contemporary Eurodance backbeat, as well as an instrumental, synthy post-chorus that sounds like it was lifted from part of a trance track. And that trancy melody, in and of itself, definitely has some 80s hi-NRG flavor to it as well.
But while it's kinda fun to dissect and analyze the multiple provenances of music like this, it also just, unfortunately, sounds off-puttingly extreme to me in a lot of different ways too. It's *very* uptempo, *very* loud, *very* animated, *very* formulaic, *very* transactional, *very* disposable, *very* saccharine, and, as a result of all of that, *very* overwhelming.
But this dance genre wasn't actually always so fast; a dramatic BPM change seems to have occurred sometime in the early 90s, and then that alteration, which proved to be extremely popular in Japan, ended up permeating this whole Super Eurobeat series itself. So, maybe that older style of Eurobeat would be...uh...more my speed, then? 😅
No highlights.

Experimental Reminiscence [8:52, .WAV, 48 kHz, 24-Bit] Final task of course at Elektronmusikstudion EMS 2022.
Presentation:
Due to my work with graphics and digital imagery, I early became curious about AI-generated images. When the Midjourney service became available, I signed up for the beta version and started exploring what was possible. I quickly got hooked on rendering images of different environments with elements of plants, appliances, and synthesizers, among other things. The rendered pictures gave me a sense of "phantom nostalgia" – a sense of a place and time that never really existed. These images have been the basis – as a reference point and source of inspiration, a feeling to start from – in my exploration of the Buchla and Serge systems at EMS, and in the recording sessions in my own studio.
To have a structure to relate to, I asked the artificial intelligence for a graphical score for the instruments I intended to use and the AI responded with an image of various blocks and little squiggles. To further concretize and set up a framework, I decided that the piece should stick to the C Minor scale, keep a tempo of 72 BPM and last about 8-9 minutes. I measured the blocks in the score to 159 Bars and divided them into color-coded sections in my DAW. This became the map that I related to in the cutting and mixing process.
The recordings were done as individual explorations and improvised jams. Instruments and effects used are: Serge System in Studio 6, Buchla 100 Series and small 200 system in Studio 3, Buchla 200 in Studio 4, EMS SYNTHI A, Buchla Easel Command, Korg MS20 mini, Synthstrom Audible Deluge, Empress Reverb, Roland Space Echo RE20, Earthquaker Grand Orbiter, EHX Bad Stone, Meris Polymoon, BOSS BX16 mixer, Reason 12, Eksperimental Sounds Ouroboros, Reverb AK11, and FX3180, FabFilter ProQ 3 EQ, field recordings of crackles and bubbles with Zoom 4Hn.
The hardest part during the process has been letting go of the idea of "traditional" music and finding a form that feels good. I wanted to explore all the instruments involved and let them have a role in the piece which easily became cluttered and bordered on chaos, but I think in the end I managed to balance just right on the edge of cacophony.

MAGIC of 432, The Calling of the 144,000
The creation of the Universe is based on a harmonic series of numbers such as 72, 144, and 432. The SPEED OF LIGHT is no coincidence, it is the magical speed of 144,000 Nautical Miles Per Second. The rhythm of music recalls the heartbeat which we first heard in the womb and beats naturally at 72 BPM. The human body also has 432,000 “Motor Skill Neurons.” DIVINE INTELLIGENT DESIGN:
Can you hear Mother Earth’s Heartbeat?
The “Heartbeat of Mother Earth” is called the “Schumann Resonance”, our planet beats at 8 cycles per second, this 8 Hz is the fundamental Schumann resonance of vibratory sound. In other words, at 8 Hz one is an operating bio-supercomputer, or working towards “Super Fifth-Dimension Consciousness.” This is a musical revolution that would induce 8 Hz in its beholders and party dancers, could propel mankind into an “Omega Revolution”
8 Hz is the alpha brain wave rhythm in which our parallel processors, or brain bi- hemispheres, are synchronized to spin together equally. The neo-cortex of the brain, 90% unassigned becomes awakened in this synchronization, and one then operates in all brain cell dendrites with the maximum information flow possible on that scale. "Ordinary" awareness brain waves ranges from 14-40 Hz. Here one is operating only in some brain cell dendrites, and predominantly with the left brain as the centre of activity, where in- formation flow is billions of times slighter (like using an old PC 386 compared to a parallel process Pentium 4, or an old Mac Performance, compared to a Parallel processing G5). Light travels about a foot in a nanosecond (billionth of a second), fast enough to circle the Earth seven to eight times in one second. Now that’s fast folks! This is the original connection of sacred geometry, astronomy and sacred energy sites used in music theory. It follows the golden symmetry (PHI Ø) of the human bodies architecture and the cosmos. AUMEGAANNUM REVOLUTION
It is the GLOBAL SONG and Mankind’s Step
into AUMNIVERSAL CO-CREATION and
the ‘Musical Language’ of Numinous Love.
Calculated by using the simple
geometrical temporal rhythm's of:
1. 72 BPM (72 X 2) =144

1:40 a.m
I just got out of the shower after shaving my head and I'm having heart palpitations AGAIN. I wish they would speed up seeing a cardiologist. It's been about 2-5 minutes on and off.
The shower was a good one too. I mean every shower is full of ocd avoidance but nonetheless I didn't touch anything and everything was seemless.
Idk if I'm having panic attacks or what. I haven't eaten a banana since 4/15, I just ate one.... but I got my bloodwork done on the 16th and my potassium was like a 4.0 which is a normal level... I mean I'm still having them as I type this.
Do I go to the ER again??? It's getting a little ridiculous. I mean its early enough to go. I haven't taken my xanax yet...
My heart rate isn't racing I don't think, let me check=72 BPM.... so not racing, yet having heart palpitations...
Maybe I'll go to the ER. Idk.

“Failed him?” Chapter 7: check-up and at last food!
“I’ve called the doctor.” Pauline said as she left “shouldn’t be long now.” She finished. Their Grandad gave a grateful nod and closed the door behind her. Now it was just the family, Peach, DK and Toad. “Whoa whoa!” Said Tony pulling the nearly empty jug from Luigi’s face “don’t drown your self now after all that!” He laughed, Luigi took a few gasping breaths before leaning back slightly, Uncle Arthur and his Mom let him go limp against them while Tony placed the cheese toastie on a plate then the table. They helped Luigi sit down as they heard a voice behind the door “should be just up here, the sad residents!” A childlike voice laughed. They opened the door revealing Lumalee floating next to a Doctor. “Lumalee!” Peach said surprised “oh no not this guy...” said Tony “Your-uh pet star is quite cynical..” said the doctor as Luigi went to take a bite. Peach nodded nearly smiling as the doctor walked in “I wouldn’t do that!” Said the doctor putting his hands infront of Luigi’s so he couldn’t eat. “I Would!” Tony Said nearly yelling “the poor boy hasn’t eaten in three days!” “I know, that’s why it’s dangerous.” Said the Doctor pulling a stethoscope, thermometer and some other medical equipment out of a small bag. “Consuming food after days without eating can send a persons body into shock!” He spat the last word to show how serious he was. His Dad pulled Luigi’s chair out a bit so the doctor could get a better look at him. He checked his ears, mouth and nose before checking his eyes, they were dull and tired but now had a slither of light in them. He grabbed Luigi’s face and arms, silently poking the burn marks . “Can you feel this?” Asked the Doctor, Luigi nodded “good, no nerve damage then!” He stuck the thermometer into Luigi’s mouth as he rubbed some cream onto the wounds, he took the thermometer ‘92:’ “hmmm okay.” Said the Doctor putting on the ear pieces of the stethoscope, pressing the bell to his chest ‘Ba-bump....’ Ba-bump....’ Ba-bump....’ Ba-bump....’ “hmm.... about 58 bpm” he said sounding a bit annoyed “it’s a little slow, so I guess we’ll have to try the food..” he said pulling the cheese toastie to him, Luigi took a tiny bite after a few minutes the doctor gave him the okay to eat a bit more, holding the stethoscope on him the entire time. By Luigi’s third bite his heart rate shot up to about 72 bpm. When he finally finished eating, Luigi was shaking but only slightly, the Doctor held his wrist and counted “87 bpm” Said the Doctor sounding satisfied. “His body temperatures a bit low so just keep him warm and if his temperature elavates to over ‘100’ then cool him down as best you can. Take it slow with food and be extra careful with sleep, have someone always on hand just in case. Give him plenty of fluids and of course some TLC.” The doctor checked his bag making sure everything was in place before getting up and heading for the door. he checked his watch “best I can do is come back in two days to come over and check on him, if anything worrying happens before then, bring him in as soon as you can and feel free to ring me for advice!” He said now out the door, his dad nodded closing the door while his Mom was writing down everything the Doctor had said “well someone keeping an eye on him shouldn’t be to hard!” Tony laughed “after all he’s got-“ a realisation then hit him “Oh my god, MARIO!” The family jumped as if bit by a wild animal, Toad, Peach And DK stared wide eyed. Uncle Arthur went to open the living room door when as if right on cue Mario walked through, rubbing his eyes, red and puffy from crying “I’m just going out.” He started with a broken voice “I promise I’ll be back soon, you all-understand....” he looked up to see Luigi at the table. Luigi smiled as he shakily got up from the table. Madelyn helped walk him over until he was comfortable enough to walk on his own. The family and Peach’s group parted for them like they were royalty. When Luigi got to Mario, Mario stumbled backwards, Arthur instinctively holding an arm out behind him. Mario finally spoke “No.... no you’re...” -To be continued.
