Do you listen to music (or tv shows/films/anything else) when drawing?

🥁 Absolutely 🎷 Yes! I mainly listen to kpop or lofi hip hop 🎸  Yeah! I love some instrumental music usually leaning towards jazz or traditional classical music. Casiopea's Mint Jams and An Insatiable High by Masayoshi Takanaka for example. Good stuff that isn't to distracting but keep the silence away.

What’s your favorite music artist/band? If you could ask your favorite band/music artist one question, what would it be?

🎤 Janelle Monáe! I'd probably ask what her least favorite music genre is! 🥁 Holy crap, that's hard to pick one band/artist but if I had to pick - I'd say Daft Punk because they are oldest band/group I have listened to outside of Jazz and Blues. If I could ask them, a question I'd have to ask how do they do it - I mean, they have done many albums, movie soundtracks and the list that seems endless. I want to know how they do it without going stale and how did they get themselves to this point, I mean everyone starts somewhere but I'm curious about their start..? 🎷 Right now, my favorite band is BTS. And if I could ask them a question, I would ask them where there inspiration comes from. 🎸  My favourite Artist is Phil Collins. I know that sounds bad but my father had the exact bald spot as him so it was fate. That includes Genesis too! What would I ask him?  Was her ever a fan of Yes?

Do you play an instrument? If not would you like to play one? Which one?

🎤 I play violin! This will be my 7th year of playing! 🥁 Sadly, no but I do have guitar from when I was little - I don't know if I was given lessons but I probably would give it a shot if I had the time and resources. 🎷 I play piano and used to play flute once upon a time. 🎸 I played the Cello untill just before I entered (British) College. Both my shoulder and my mother who carried the case are appreciative of me dropping it.

What do you expect from this zine?

🎤 I want to be inspired by other artists to explore techniques outside of my comfort zone and I'm hoping I can make some new friends too! 🥁 An experience, a chance to grow and get better while having fun! 🎷 To have fun creating art and looking at everyone else's pieces. I'm so excited to see everything come together. 🎸 Good music and about 30 new songs added to my playlist.

🥁 Um.. If you like the content once again - follow me on social media or check my artstation out. Other than that, peace and thank you once again! 🎸 A small tidbit of why I ended up doing Into Sandy's City. The comments on the song from Prince was what originally it was meant to have a piano in it, but the rest of the crew thought that piano was to soft and not tonally right. So he changed it to a harpsichord, and to his surprised they liked it.  Just makes me laugh how people see a Piano and Harpsichord so vastly different. My Genesis song features heavy piano work, both DOOM and the That's All Video have a industrial / post apoc look to them but one features a piano, the other a harpsichord. I don't know where I am going with this.
