I still think the Inquest scene at lvl 50 Miner has some of the best blocking, camera work, and lighting of any of this game’s many cutscenes. It helps the interpersonal conflict and resolution immensely.

Also it all makes Adalberta look gorgeously badass the whole time. Serious heart-eyes for our Mhigan guilmaster.

And hey, I actually did do the lvl 20 quest before speed leveling, as Aeryn hangs out in her lvl 80 white scrip gear and stage 1 Skysteel Tool...

Mwah: Three people they’d like to kiss.

Dahkar's top three on this list currently are 1. Yugiri (whom he has long harbored feelings for but due to their differing commitments in life feel they cannot work), 2. Aymeric (he’s pretty sure it wouldn’t work out for them but he still finds him ridiculously hot) 3. Ephemie (who has been mutually flirting with him for a while now, but he’s been a little hesitant to make a real move)

Different: Three members of the opposite sex they find attractive.

For Franks, he finds intelligence and confidence just as attractive as looks. Though he’s absolutely not mentally and emotionally ready to try to find love again, the three women he’s most likely to try pursuing are Y’shtola, Adalberta Sterne, and Rowena.  Shtola’s a brilliant woman in general, Adalberta is both an expert geologist and a leader, and Rowena’s a brilliant businesswoman who’s not nearly as heartless as she wants everyone to believe. Franks has more than once tried to smack sense into Gerolt, but he’s pretty much given up on that. 

Shh: Three things they wouldn’t want their parents to know.

Oh that’s easy. Fearless does not want her parents to know where she is, what she’s been doing since she ran away from home, and ABSOLUTELY does not want them to know who she’s in love with. 

Her parents were emotionally abusive, treating her as if she was dumb and good for nothing all of her life. They planned to marry her off to the son of one of their business allies against her will, so she ran. They’re a bit vengeful, so periodically they’ve sent mercenary groups to bring her back home. Fearless doesn’t want that trouble brought to her home in Kugane. If they found out she was the Warrior of Light, they would absolutely try to profit off of her name and deeds. And if they found out who her girlfriends were, they would absolutely threaten to expose their relationship as a way to get her compliance. Makoto is in no way ashamed of dating Fearless and Ranaa, but she’s already got enough scrutiny on her after the revelation of who her brother was came to light. She does not want to invite more by having it publicly known that she’s dating a foreigner, much less two of them.

Blab: Three secrets they’re keeping.

A big one that she’s discovered while talking to her mom about these two strange girls in Idyllshire she’s met also named Aliapoh is that Khloe and Zhloe might actually be her first cousins. Her mom mentioned a sister that died in the calamity, but she never heard if her girls did as well. Turns out their names were also Khloe and Zhloe. Rheika is waiting until she can find the right time to talk to them about this, but she doesn’t want to get their hopes up and be wrong about it too. She (and Franks) were already looking out for the pair, but that’s been turned up to 11 now that they might be family. 

Rheika’s pretty good at reading people, so she can pretty quickly catch on to nonverbal cues that indicate a crush on someone. She might not be into romance for herself, but holy SHIT does she love playing matchmaker for others, which often involves ridiculous and convoluted schemes on her part because of course no one ever wants to just come out and say it. She absolutely knows that Sophie (from the GNB questline) and Arya (from the RDM one) have a mutual interest in each other from the way they steal glances at each other but turn away if they think the other is looking, but hasn’t said anything to either of them (yet).

Lastly, Rheika does have a number of regular casual lovers, but she absolutely does not talk about them to anyone. Who she chooses to take to her bed is no one’s business but hers, and if you want to be taken yourself, not asking about who or how many other people she’s bedded is one of the rules you agree to. Break any of them, and you’re done.

Having finally finished MIN 50...

1) The lighting in the Inquest scene is good, Adalberta looked lovely.

2) Speaking of, we don’t deserve Adalberta. She’s a helluva friend, even when the person who should be most proud of her accomplishments got so jealous he put the entire guild in jeopardy. And she bent over backwards to help him.
