Is there a common b5 fandom name for not-Kosh?
Hiya! 😊
Considering my time in “the fandom” was back while we were waiting on the episodes to be released…
I have no idea. 🫣
I think not-Kosh works perfectly well, personally. Checking on the Lurker’s Guide, JMS referred to the character interchangeably as Kosh, the New Kosh or the new Vorlon. There is a tiny spoiler for one of the novels.
It should even get the point across once you run across the line, “We are all Kosh.”
Besides, as the character themself reminds us:
So insult them as much as you like. 😁

Fate of Lennier?
Hi everyone,
I heard somewhere that the canon story was supposed to be that Lennier died in the Telepath War. Does anyone know the source for this, or what may have happened? I don't understand how he could have gotten mixed up in a war that had absolutely nothing to do with him or his people, let alone gotten killed in that conflict. Did he get involved because he became an Anla'Shok? Because if so, how were THEY involved in the war? This wasn't their war either!
Is this story correct? Does anyone know what JMS was planning here? Thanks!

As great as the Jewishness of Babylon 5 is in TKO, the least Jewish scene possible happens and it bugs me. Ivanova's Rabbi is served an alien animal to eat, and just says "treel wasn't mentioned in the Torah" and eats it. JMS was a coward to not show us the hours of Talmudic research and debate surrounding whether or not Treel qualifies as kosher- does it have scales and fins? And I'm sure there's going to be some odd technicality. Show me the treel Responsa, Joe.

The first episode of “Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons” reminds me of the reason why Earth-Minbari war happened before “Babylon5”, although the broadcast order is the opposite and the country is different.
The Mysterons: We just used Telescope for watching earthmen. How dare they attacked us! We will be avenged!
Minbari: We just welcomed the earthlings with our right diplomatic protocol. How dare they attacked us. Many fellows were killed by them. We must kill all of them!
I thought both of their behaviors were really difficult understanding for us. It seemed to be tried to attack to the earthlings. But those incidents has a matter of Mutual understanding.

Susan Ivanova (Claudia Christian), is a member of the Earth Force and a commanding officer on the space station Babylon 5 in the TV show of the same name (1993–1998). She begins the series as a lieutenant but rises through the ranks as the show progresses, ending up as Commander of the Rangers, an interspecies force dedicated to protecting the galaxy.
The daughter of a telepath with latent powers of her own, Susan has a deep distrust of Psi-Corps, the Earth government's shadowy psychic agency, as membership for psychics is mandatory. The only way out is to agree to take power-suppressing drugs, the same drugs which eventually drove her mother to suicide as her mind deteriorated under their influence.
Despite this, Susan falls powerfully in love with Talia Winters, the station's official telepath, but their relationship barely begins before Talia too dies as a result of Psi-Corps. This forms a pattern in Susan's relationships, and though they don't all end in death — one boyfriend turns out to be a racist terrorist who she helps entrap and send to prison — they do all end badly.
Ivanova is a skilled fighter pilot, having served several years as one before her assignment to the station, and continues finding excuses to go out in one throughout her time there. A pragmatic, blunt, and honorable person, she's willing to disobey orders to do the right thing.
