hello, can you please recommend me some fics where one of them is a spy. And spies on the other one (because they are for example suspect for murder or in a gang that needs to be watch or just in another football team and they are trying to find out their strategy…) Plus points if they are using the other one to get informations so when they find out they feel betrayed and there is drama. hop you find some and thank you for your work!!
Hi, anon! You're very welcome! And yes, I know some fics that fit what you're looking for!
Take The Bitter With The Sweet by rainbowslovehl
“They did not,” Louis said in the midst of laughing, which had now turned more of hiccup giggles. The name resembled Liam’s shop name, differing by just one word even if it boasted a whole other specialty. “They did not just name their shop too similar to yours.” “They fucking did!” Liam exclaimed as he slammed his hand against the counter so hard that the drawers shook. “They have the audacity to open a coffee shop right in front of mine and steal my shop name and customers. They serve ‘gluten free’ hipster stuff and ‘kale smoothies’ or whatever, which is mocking my food I feel. The name taunts me. I can’t fucking believe.”
Liam recruits Louis to spy on the 'rival cafe', which Louis is less than enthusiastic about but it does lead him Harry, the pretty barista who works there.
Landslide by aimmyarrowshigh, spibsy
The year is 1976. In November, Jimmy Carter will take control of the White House. Americans are meeting Laverne & Shirley at their apartment in Milwaukee. Hotel California diverges from the reign of Kool & the Gang. And the FBI is still reeling from the repercussions of Watergate, the tragedy at Wounded Knee, Operation Family Secrets, and the strategic terrors of the anti-cult movement.
That's what Special Agent Harry Styles has been told is the basis of his mission to an abandoned farmhouse in rural New Hampshire.
With his hair grown out long and his shirt untucked, he's going undercover to do reconnaissance on suspected cult leader Louis Tomlinson, who has led a group of people out into the middle of nowhere, leaving no record of the life he'd had before. All Harry knows is what the agency gave him: Tomlinson's name, and instructions to figure out what he's doing with the eleven people he brought with him.
In the year that Harry spends undercover and under Louis Tomlinson's wing, he learns more than he ever expected.
Beautiful War by @itsmotivatingcara
Five years ago, Louis was nearly the next victim in a string of murders plaguing Portland, Oregon. He managed to escape and the Angel Killer was apprehended and sent to prison. Now, Louis' a best-selling author that assists state police with minor cases. He still suffers from the events of the days he'd been held hostage, but he's found ways to cope.
That is, until the killings start up again. A body was found in the woods. A body that bared the same signature the media had dubbed: The Angel of Death.
Special Agent Harry Styles leads the case, and he doesn't buy into the clairvoyant bullshit that Louis spewed to save face five years ago. He's certain that Louis Tomlinson was involved.
Until they meet, and they're both left questioning everything they'd thought to be true.
Or

How much are you willing Sherlock has the worst luck at Starbucks, Mycroft too probably. Not one barista can even get close to spelling their name right. 90% of the time people think he said Shamrock, the 10% is a variation on Shirley
I actually do think Sherlock wouldn't do so bad. Yes, unusual, but each letter can easily be heard. The worst Sherlock would get would be a weird look before somebody typing it up/writing it down.
I honestly think he'd have a worse time if he went by Holmes, with most of it coming out as Homes.
Mycroft however would get the absolute worst of it.
Somebody would think he was trying to be funny and write out "Microsoft" and still others would but it down as "Mikroft", thinking it Russian or something.
Of course, Mycroft would never go to Starbucks. He has a small, wifi free coffee shop he goes to where nobody asks for his name. Or, he simply goes to a tea shop were people are equally private.

not sure if you've already answered an ask like this but how did the almondfort marriage proposal go in your fanon?
I HAVENT THOUGHT ABOUT IT TOO MUCH HONESTLY . in sugary shenanigans its a joke au so to make it as funny as possible they managed to propose at the exact same fucking time (and almond dropped his ring) (also he died at his wedding in sugaru shenanigans bUT THATS NOT IMportant)) but hmm. Gonba be honest i cant decide who would be the one to propose so im gonna make scenarios for both
almond proposing? probably at the coffee shop they met (well met as in almond and roquefort meeting not just almond interacting with their thiefsona) at and maybe he talked with the baristas (AKA ME AND SHIRLEYS Ocs) to arrange it so that the shop was like completely empty when he did it . Roque and almond both dont like a lot of attention when it comes to their relationship they wouldnt want a bunch of people to start clapping for them
if roque were to propose . Hm. at this point in time phantom bleu has faded out into nothing, theyre more occupied with their new family and friends and their new job to really be planning heists. But i think it would be cute if they dressed up as roguefort and when almond came home they were talking to him in character and he asks what the hell is going on and then they drop to one knee FFFFF
either way they walk into the living room holding hands and walnut sees ring and rolls her eyes and mutters something under her breath <3 (shes very happy for them shes just being dramatic)

fuck it i'll do it anyway. so i have 2 blue archive OCs that fills the role of Sensei, Aiya Amia and Shirley. they're sisters. Amia is the older sister who is a drunkard widow and a barista without teaching experience but is somehow wise at times needed (though she's REALLY chaotic, after all Hiroi Kikuri was the biggest inspiration for her character), and Shirley the transgender little sister is a huge overprotective siscon and have experience as a teacher-- and Shirley was the only one originally dragged to Kivotos to teach but Shirley, overly worried about her sister who had just lost her wife due to terminal illness, dragged her sister with her for a new leaf.
Their names aren't their birthnames, Amia's birthname name is Yane Ayano but she changed her name when she's in Kivotos since Shirley's transition for some reason made her change her legal name up to her family name so she said 'fuck this I'm going to stay as your sister even in name'. hence the Aiya sisters.
Amia takes the role as the chaotic Sensei and Shirley takes the role of the responsible Sensei. I also use Amia for the yumeship with Kanna, shipname KannAmia, while kind of liking to write Mika -> Shirley-sensei one sided fluff.

You all saw the poll! Now you’re being subjected to me reading other books, and it’s time for my near-yearly reread of We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson, which is maybe the only book I’ve read as many times as mphfpc. If you don’t want to see this, I’m tagging it
Chapters 1-3:
If you are unfamiliar with this book, Shirley Jackson is an American writer and to my knowledge is best known for her short stories and horror. This book is about Mary Katherine & Constance Blackwood, and their life inside their family’s house. The rest of their family, barring their elderly uncle Julian and a distant cousin, Charles, are dead. Mary Katherine poisoned them over dinner. They spend their days mostly alone, tending to their uncle and gardens, until Charles arrives and tries to integrate himself so he can take control of the house and what’s left of their family’s fortune.
“My name is Mary Katherine Blackwood. I am eighteen years old, and I live with my sister Constance. I have often thought that with any luck at all I could have been born a werewolf, because the two middle fingers on both of my hands are the same length, but I have had to be content with what I had.” Yknow as many times as I’ve read this, I still haven’t figured out what she means with the finger bit there, but girl same
Merricat (Mary Katherine) says that the house has generations of the Blackwood family’s things inside of it, specifically that “our house was built up with layers of Blackwood property weighing it, and keeping it steady against the world.”, which I would love to see and go through all their things, and it seems like it would be nice to have a place that’s so steady, but it also sounds like a tomb in there
That is part of the themes (? I guess? Haven’t been to an English class in a bit), of the book though, this house is the family’s tomb basically and Constance and Merricat exclude themself from the outside world, choosing to join their family in death by staying in the house and keep everything as it was before everyone died
Also Merricat makes a point to go to her local coffee shop every week. Not because she likes it but because she needs the barista to know that she’s not a coward
This book starts in April, so I do have to read it in April
One of the reasons I’ve enjoyed reading this book so many times is that Merricat has many real, more pressing things to worry about. But often she is worried about things like the asphalt on the road melting and keeping her feet stuck as a truck hits her, which is is absurd, but also something I find myself doing
I really do enjoy this first chapter or so where it’s not been revealed quite yet why the Blackwood family is mostly dead, because Merricat keeps saying things like “we disconnected our phone line” and “the milkman stopped coming by” without adding on that it’s because she killed her family and the milkman is afraid of her and people kept calling the house to tell her that she’s a murderer. Queen of avoiding things
I’m realising this book may be a bit difficult to get through while doing these posts without sounding insane because it’s narrated by a deeply fucked up eighteen year old girl and I can’t just say things like “I love the part where she’s fantasising about everyone in the grocery store dying in a similar way to her family and she gets to kick that one lady who is always super loud about hating her” into the internet void. She’s uniquely vicious and it’s fascinating
For all her viciousness, she’s very stiff and sensitive sometimes. She’s very careful with how she does things and likes to do things certain ways to avoid what scares her. She often ignores the townspeople when she’s outside in favour of pretending she’s somewhere else with different circumstances.
Mary’s sister keeps saying that maybe she would like to go outside their property and talk to people and it’s making Merricat anxious
There’s a woman in their house, being overly familiar and having tea with Constance and Mary is narrating like she’s behaving normally but I think she probably looks likes she’s sucked a lemon
Merricat’s way of dealing with this lady having tea is to imagine putting her in a flimsy pink dress and make her fall out of a tree
Their uncle has interrupted the tea to tell everyone (again)(for the hundredth time) about the murder of their family. He’s morbidly fascinated by it and despite his dementia is writing a book on it and will tell everyone within ears reach about it
Oh also no one outside the house knows Merricat did it. Constance was accused of being the one to poison the food, but was acquitted. Constance knows that Mary did it and protects her, I don’t think Julian knows.
Forgot the bit about Mary using Thursdays to go into the attic and dress in her family’s clothes
Most of this last chapter was Julian being confused and talking about the last day that everyone was alive. Constance and Julian agree that it was a very pleasant day, Merricat said nothing on it

My professional barista opinion says
Jeff orders plain black coffee, sometimes w sugar.
Britta orders green tea
Annie orders a cappuccino, sometimes iced but usually hot. Requests cinnamon be added.
Shirley gets a breve latte
Abed orders an iced mocha (the show has him order a latte in like episode 3 but I disagree with this)
And Troys order changes based on who he’s with. If he wants to impress someone, he gets regular coffee and secretly adds lots of half and half and sugar. If he’s with Abed and doesn’t care what anyone is thinking of him, he gets a vanilla latte :))
Thanks for coming to my Ted talk

Shirbert, plz.
Coffee shop AU: Who is the barista, and who frequents the coffee shop?
So, first off Gilbert is a sleep deprived doctor who need coffee every three hours or he will literally collapse. It also doesn’t help that the barista in the hospital coffee shop is really pretty. He even talks to her some times if he’s pulling the midnight shift and there’s no one around. She’s going to grad school for creative writting and, ironically, doesn’t drink coffee. Prefers tea apparently. Gilbert is kind of suspicious she might be an alien.
Next Christmas he gives her a bag of really good earl grey tea. She gives him his large coffee with four shots of expresso on the house. A couple months later she invites him to her birthday party. Well, her friend Diana was there dropping off a dress for Anne to wear when Gilbert came in to get his third cup of coffee and she invited him. It was a flapper dress, since Anne was turning 25 and celebrating her roaring 20s with a roaring 20s party. Later that month he got over his nerves and asked her out. She said yes, and later it is revealed that Bash won the hospital betting pool the doctors and nurses set up.
Highschool/College AU: Who is the straight-A student, and who’s the backrow slacker?
Anne is the straight A student. She raises her hand at every opportunity and knows every answer to every question. Her notes were the most meticulous in the entire school. Gilbert, the exact opposite. He never raises his hand, never takes any notes, and never pays attention either. The weird thing? Anne is only 2nd in her class. Gilbert is first. No matter how hard she tries, he tries less, and she still losses to him. Every single time. It doesn’t help that Mr. Phillips kinda hates Anne and gives Gilbert praise just to spite her. Eventually, they join the debate club and their rivalry goes into overdrive. Well, it’s kind of one sided. Anne tries furiously, Gilbert doesn’t try at all.
Rivals to loves AU: Who takes their rivalry seriously, and who is half in it just to push the other’s buttons?
Just like above, Anne takes their rivalry very seriously but Gilbert just likes the idea of her thinking about him at all.
Enemies to lovers AU: Which one switches sides?
Gilbert would do anything for Anne, including changing sides.
Soulmate AU: Who is eager to meet their soulmate? Who absolutely does not want to meet their soulmate?
Anne wants to meet her soulmate so god damn badly. It’s all she’s dreamed about her entire life. At 12 years old, she waits eagerly with Diana to see the first words he will say to her. Then she sees them. “Carrots.” Her face goes as red as her hair. Diana, well versed in Anne’s self esteem issues, immediately assures her that it might not be as bad as it sounds. A few months later, in a nearby hospital, Gilbert and his father stay up late into the night waiting for the words to appear. “Back off, and leave me alone.” Gilbert didn’t know what to say to that. “Well, at least she knows how to speak her mind,” her father said.
Two years later, his dad is finally out of chemo and they move out of Charlottetown and back to their small village of Avonlea to a very warm welcome. When Anne first sees him and asks about him (she had come to Avonlea after he had left for Charlottetown.) A very nice boy, apparently. Good, he wasn’t someone who would, for example, call her carrots. Josie sees Anne’s smile and quickly reminds her and everyone else that Gilbert belongs to Ruby (Ruby’s soulmate says “hi” the first time he sees her. It did not narrow it down much, so Ruby decided through the power of delusion that it’s Gilbert). Anne nods, and knows that he’s not her soulmate so she should back off. He sees her too, and is entranced.
In class, they are reading Pride and Prejudice. Anne is completely absorbed in by the book and Gilbert is completely absorbed by Anne. He tries to get her attention but can’t. He leans over to her desk and in a moment of frustration pulls her hair and calls her “Carrots”. She swivels around and uses the hardcover book she was reading to smack him upside the head. “Back off and leave me alone,” she said instinctively, then realised what he had said. He realised what she had said. A small smile spread across his face as horror consumed hers.
Gilbert pursues her, knowing that they would end up together. Anne is in totally in denial, insisting that just because hers says carrots and his says back off doesn’t mean they are actually soulmates. Eventually, Anne comes around. They have their first kiss and then get married and no, she never again doubted that they belonged together.
Single parent AU: Which one is the single parent? (Alt. if they’re both single parents: Which one is open to starting a new relationship from the start? Which one is never planning on finding love again… Until they meet the other and are instantly smitten?)
Gilbert is the single father to Delphine. Originally her godfather he was forced to assume the role of single parent when her parents died in a care accident. His entire life revolves around her and he would never do anything to jeopardize her happiness. Which is awful because he has been developing a little bit of a crush on her 4th grade teacher, Miss Shirley-Cuthbert. Featuring a young Delphine that attempts to parent trap her dad and her teacher together. Spoiler alert: it works.
Doctor AU: Which one is the long suffering doctor? Which one is the patient?
We all know this one: Gilbert is a doctor. Anne is his clumsy patient.
Bodyguard AU: Who is the bodyguard? Who are they protecting? Which one is secretly pining for the other?
Anne is a highly successful romance writer. Gilbert is meant to protect her. But he has fallen in love with her, and that’s making his job complicated. Anne has found herself having a “protector” side character in every one of her recent books. There was a white knight in “Midnight at Morningstar Castle” who layed down his life to protect the heroine. The scientist in “Stars Above” spent the entire book keeping the heroine safe and though she was in outer space and could only see him though a tiny screen she described him as “incredibly handsome” three times. “Tough Choices in Tough Times” had the protector in the love triangle this time, since he was a humble farmer in the great depression trying to make sure the heroine didn’t have to sell her farm even though she has feelings for the bank manager’s son and if she accepted his marriage proposal she wouldn’t have to worry about the farm. In the end, the bank manager’s son left the bank to live with her on the farm and work the land with her, but there was a lot of fans who liked the protective farmer better. Now she’s nervous because her next book is straight up about a famous gunslinger meant to escort the young daughter of a not so well liked politician across the country to her new fiancée but ends up leaving him to be with her gunslinger. The thing is, she wrote this alone. She only sees Gilbert whenever she goes on a book our so how does she travel across the country with him in 20-ish different cities across the country without letting him know what the book is about because then he might think it’s about him (it totally is, the cowboy is literally called Gilmore) and wacky highjinks ensues.
Pirate AU: Who is the pirate? Who is the member of the royal family who did not sign up for this?
Anne is a pirate and I'm pretty sure I already started this one.
Childhood best friends AU: Which one was super obviously in love with the other the whole time? Who was oblivious until they were older?
It was super obvious to everyone except Anne that Gilbert was in love with her. But it wasn’t till their 10 year reunion that Gilbert confessed to Anne. The next day, Anne broke off her engagement to Roy and asked him if maybe he still had those feelings. He did. They showed up to their 20 year reunion with 3 children.

May Your Days By Merry
Having never been able to celebrate previously, Aziraphale and Crowley decide to embrace the festive season and make the most of their first December together since the world didn’t end.
Chapter Twelve: Visiting (AO3)
Aziraphale drags Crowley around to visit his neighbours and deliver Christmas cards, but that isn’t all Aziraphale is doing.
“Why do I have to come?” grumbles Crowley as Aziraphale shoos him towards the door of the bookshop.
“Because it’s a nice festive thing for us to do together, for others.”
“I don’t even know these people.”
“You do!”
Aziraphale is actually prodding Crowley in the back now, all but pushing him to leave the shop. Crowley just really doesn’t want to go.
“You know Esme from the bakery, Shirley at the cafe, and Luca in the wine shop.”
“I have no idea who you’re talking about.”
Aziraphale sighs. “You’d know their faces.”
Apparently deciding on a new tactic, Aziraphale moves around in front of Crowley and pulls him forwards by the wrist.
“If I know these people, why didn’t you ask me to sign any of the Christmas cards?”
Aziraphale takes a breath to speak, but draws up short. Aha! Crowley’s got him.
“Well… I didn’t know… I wouldn’t like to presume…” Aziraphale lets go of Crowley’s wrist to wring his own hands. “If you want to sign the cards, we can get them out and—”
“No, no, it’s fine.” Crowley is quick to reassure Aziraphale and mend the broken look on his face. “I’ll come, but only because you want me to—not because I care about these people.”
Aziraphale hums sceptically, but doesn’t comment. Crowley strides past him to throw open the door. Extending an arm out into the cold, bright street.
“Come on then, angel. Let’s get going.”
“Let’s go to the bakery first,” says Aziraphale as he passes by Crowley on the doorstep. “That way I can get a bite for breakfast as well.”
And so they visit the fancy little French bakery and its head baker (Esme, apparently). Aziraphale gives her his Christmas card and exchanges a few words with her. At one point Aziraphale points over to where Crowley is hovering by the door and Emse looks over at him and waves. Crowley quickly waves awkwardly back before turning away.
By the time Aziraphale is finished and ready to leave, Esme is smiling brighter and the mood in the whole shop is lighter. Crowley and Aziraphale move on.
“I think we should see Shirley at the cafe next,” says Aziraphale as they walk. “I can get one of those gingerbread hot chocolates to wash down my breakfast canelés.”
“I could go for a coffee,” admits Crowley.
It’s busy when they arrive at the cafe, and they queue politely for several minutes. By the time they reach the counter, the woman behind it (Shirley, apparently) looks more harried than normal.
“Shirley, my dear, how are you doing?”
“Mr Fell, always a pleasure. I’m busy, but good. What would you like today?”
Crowley slinks off to the side while Aziraphale orders their drinks, chitchats with Shirley, and gives her a Christmas card. They talk of inconsequential things—how much longer the mail is taking in the run up to Christmas, what time the cafe is closing on Christmas eve, Shirley’s cousin Dave who got a fancy milk frother and now thinks he’s a barista. Crowley doesn’t know how Aziraphale does it. When his coffee is placed in front of him, Crowley takes it gratefully, sipping at it and zoning out of the conversation completely.
When Crowley hears his name, he quickly zones back in. He’s not fast enough to register what was said, but Shirley looks at him with a soft smile on her face before turning back to Aziraphale, so whatever it was can’t be good—or was good, which is bad.
As they step back outside not long later, they leave the cafe a happier place. Shirley looks fresh-faced and every customer is smiling.
“Where next?” asks Crowley with a sidelong glance at Aziraphale.
On they go.
To the sushi restaurant, where Crowley has no clue what is being said between Aziraphale and the head chef in their perfect Japanese. But Crowley gets another smile and wave, and the air in the restaurant is fresher as they depart.
To the chocolate shop, where Aziraphale spends so long chatting to the owner that Crowley has time to select a moderately sized box of luxury Christmas-themed chocolates for Aziraphale to enjoy later. As he pays, Crowley gets a wink from the cashier before her focus shifts to something over his shoulder. Crowley turns to see Aziraphale and the owner looking across at him, twin smiles on their faces. When they leave a few minutes later, the shop is almost glowing with good energy.
To the young couple who live in the flat above the sex shop down the road from the bookshop. Aziraphale stands on their doorstep whispering closely with them both. Crowley stands, fidgeting on the pavement. His movements only become more erratic when he hears his name and the couple look over at him. The man gives him a thumbs up and the woman laughs, small and warm, before they both look back to Aziraphale. The air surrounding the couple hums with warmth as they say goodbye and close the door.
To the wine shop—their last stop, Aziraphale assures Crowley—where Aziraphale talks animately to the salesman (Luca, apparently) while Crowley browses the shelves. A few nice vintages catch his eye, and Crowley purchases them, still waiting for Aziraphale to finish up. Aziraphale appears to be considering a bottle himself. He has the wine in one hand as he talks to Luca and motions towards Crowley with the other. Luca looks over to him, smiles and nods, before turning back to Aziraphale and pointing out a different bottle of wine. Once their wine has be bought they leave the shop, which is decidedly more cosy and welcoming than when they arrived.
“You blessed them.”
Crowley wastes no time in coming out with it as soon as they’re inside and the door to the bookshop is closed and locked.
“Of course I did,” says Aziraphale as he hangs up his coat and scarf.
Peeling off his own outerwear, Crowley wonders why he was surprised. Yes, of course, Aziraphale blessed them.
“Were the Christmas cards just an excuse?”
“Not completely, but it’s nice to feed two birds from one hand.”
Crowley can only smile.
They settle down into their usual seats and Crowley holds up one of the bottles of wine he bought. It might only be two in the afternoon, but Aziraphale nods.
“What were you telling them about me?” asks Crowley as he pours the wine and hands a glass to Aziraphale.
“Who?” asks Aziraphale, not meeting Crowley’s eye.
“Everyone. At some point they all looked at me and got this… friendly look on their face. What did you say to them?”
“Oh, well, mostly people asked how I plan to spend Christmas, and I told them it was just me and…” Aziraphale still refuses to look at Crowley, and his cheeks were turning rosy. “…and you. That it was our first proper Christmas together, and that so far you’d made it such a special one.”
Crowley can feel his insides squirm in a strangely pleasant way. He’s not sure, but he thinks this feeling is called delight. He’s delighted that Aziraphale spoke about him in that way. That Crowley isn’t ruining their first holiday season, and that Aziraphale wants to boast about him to other people.
“Maybe next year,” says Crowley, “we can both sign the Christmas cards.”
Finally, Aziraphale looks over at him. “I’d like that.”
A blush of his own rises to Crowley’s cheeks. He blames the wine.

here are some plots i would love based on a few books i’ve read this year (going to count comics/graphic novels too because why not). most of these are fairly loose interpretations, or are left relatively open so there’s a lot of room to play around with pairings and dynamics. a lot of these plots are open to mumus or groups, or as 1x1 ships.
meddling kids by edgar cantero
every summer, a motley crew of curious kids found themselves spending their days in an idyllic small town. it was like someone had plucked the town straight off of a postcard or movie set - but it also seemed to be a magnet for the strange and unusual, as well as ne'er-do-wells. determined to solve the mysteries of this quiet little town, the group of kids start their own investigation team. over the years, they find themselves in more than one sticky situation - but they always catch the haunts, and they’re always a bad guy in a mask. their last summer together, though, things end a bit differently. it’s their last case. they catch the bad guy in the mask. but something happened that night - something they can’t explain. something terrifying. and it changed their lives forever. (their lives fall apart, lots of wiggle room here, eventually they come back together as adults to solve the mystery - and be a 1x1 or mumu or group)
the saturday night ghost club: a novel by craig davidson
as a child, they grew up transfixed by their uncle’s stories of the strange, paranormal, and occult. they spent more time in their uncle’s oddities shop than they did playing outside or making friends. the new kids in town are also inexplicably drawn to his shop - and they form their own little rag-tag crew of ghost hunters. every saturday night, the uncle takes the crew of kids to a different spot in town, and tells them the story of what happened there - and the ghost that now roams. it could take a turn like the book - with the uncle’s tragedy and trauma coming alive through the stories - or it could stray and the town actually has its share of haunts. the plot could pick up with the child returning to their hometown as an adult, perhaps carrying on their uncle’s legacy by recreating the saturday night ghost club with a friend or partner. (lots of wiggle room here too, open to anything - 1x1, mumu, or group)
lumberjanes by noelle stevenson, grace ellis, brooke allen, and shannon watters
a group of friends spent a lot of summers together at a camp. they bonded over exploring the mysterious forest surrounding the camp, (almost) fearlessly diving deeper into endless puzzles as they tried to solve the mysteries around them. a lot of strange, and almost supernatural, things happened that they really couldn’t explain. but eventually their years at the camp came to an end, and they all went their separate ways. they promised to always keep in touch, but never did. the only thing they ever really shared or had in common was the camp and their adventures - without them, there was nothing holding the group together. years down the road, they all get a letter in the mail about a reunion. the camp is opening to alums for a few weeks and, feeling nostalgic, they all sign up for their old cabin. when they return a lot of memories come flooding back, and it isn’t long before the mysteries of the woods start calling to them again. (i know this is pretty different but please!! up for 1x1, mumu or group)
the haunting of hill house by shirley jackson
a haunted house. a group of strangers turned paranormal investigators. what could possibly go wrong? perhaps one or two people in the group are already familiar with one another, and they’re looking for their big break within the paranormal community. they don’t have a lot of equipment or an established team or a following. what they do have is a supposedly haunted manor scheduled for auction and a very limited amount of time to find some evidence of the paranormal. perhaps one used live in the house or spent summers there as a child, and is just looking for proof that what they saw and what they heard was all just a dream or a figment of their imagination. perhaps one is just looking for a change of scenery - for something, anything, exciting to happen to them - and this call to action is the perfect escape. (basically a modern sort of adaptation of the book minus the death, open to 1x1, mumu or group)
alosha by christopher pike
very loose interpretation - essentially playing around with the idea of multiple/different dimensions, and there being gateways/doors to these dimensions on earth. perhaps one muse discovers that they are actually from a different dimension and begin to recover memories from that life. perhaps they stumble upon a door and find themselves in another dimension - either eerily similar or vastly different from their own. (lots of wiggle room - you don’t have to be familiar with the book and i don’t really recommend it lmao. it was a childhood favorite. open to 1x1, mumu or group)
the ocean at the end of the lane by neil gaiman
in a quiet little town, a child meets a child a few years older than them - and befriends them and their unusual family from down the lane. the more time they spend with the family, the more it becomes apparent that they’re not exactly normal. eventually the child discovers that they are a family of immortal, interdimensional beings with extraordinary gifts. they protect the child and their family from a dangerous entity that has invaded their home - but it comes at a cost. in order to recover, and protect the child, they cast a spell over their memories. when they wake the next day, the family is gone, and the child only remembers them as the family down the lane and the child who used to play with them. as an adult, they return to their childhood home for a funeral, and are immediately overwhelmed with hazy memories of the family from down the lane. they mindlessly find themselves traveling down the lane until they reach the house long forgotten, and in the front garden is a familiar face - only they appear older now, too. (there is some wiggle room here, probably better as a 1x1)
moonstruck by grace ellis, kat fajardo, and shae beagle
cute, sleepy, idyllic little towns with magical and/or supernatural realism/surrealism? yes please. give me the werewolf who works as a bartender at the local LGBTQIA+ bar. a witch that owns the flower shop. the cute barista who has no idea what is happening right under their nose. a werewolf desperately trying to hide what they are from their super cute, clueless roommate. a witch who works at that cute little bookshop and their familiar is a regular customer. literally anything and everything you can think of. (lots of room here! open to 1x1, mumu or group)

The thrilling adventures of a PA - Chapter Two : The wardrobe malfunction (Adam Sackler x Reader)
After a couple of days on the job, you’re already getting your bearings around the sets and locations where you’re the most likely to go during the day. Shirley & Stew gave you tips on how to be a good PA and some gossips too. You like them, they’re friendly (even thought Shirley’s a little too girly for your taste) and mainly, they don’t make you feel ouf of place because you’re new, both on the team and on the job. The first night, you fell asleep straight away in your bed, something that didn’t happen to you since forever and luckily, before you drifted off, you made sure to set up two alarms. But you’re already feeling better, your internal clock starting to adjust and well, not gonna lie about it, coffee helps (like a lot). As for your job per se, you’re getting more comfortable with Adam. You talked together the previous evening after he was done filming, at his request (which surprised you in a good way), learning more about each other over a little cuppa and you must admit, Delilah was right. He’s not so weird once you understand where he’s coming from, in his private life. He wasn’t too sharing of course, just giving some info here and there about himself, his family & what led him to acting. What was needed for you two to work well together you’d say. Afterall, you’d be seeing each other every day for the next six or eight months so there’ll be plenty of time to chat some more during that period.
Today there is some costume fitting on the schedule and you can’t wait to see that part as you’ve always loved costumes. Nerdy as you are, cosplay is nothing unheard of for you & you dabbled more than once in the craft yourself, the couples of costumes hidden in your cupboard proving it. Fascinated by period costumes, you always thought the people making those elaborate dresses were magicians. Laced bits that looked so fragile, pearls & jewels woven on precious fabrics, cleavages that contained so many details to make the person wearing it even more convincing in their role. And that was only the women’s part. In your humble opinion, men dressed in period clothes had something almost superenatural. A good suit could make a real gentlemen out of anybody (as the movie Kingsman proved it -yeah you really loved that movie-)  If lingerie was the secret weapon of women, suits were men’s equivalent. There was something about a well-tailored suit that just made you feel weak in the knees. Suddenly you find yourself picturing Adam in one. He’d look quite dashing you gather, his tall figure would be even more obvious, his frame underlined in the right places... And that’s where you stop yourself daydreaming. You’ve got chores to do before going to the studio so you better start moving if you want to do everything & be on time for work. Last thing you need right now is fantasizing about a man that one, you hardly know, & two, you have no fucking chance to ever be with. Leaving your bike at the entrance, greeting Al the studio’s security guard agent as he puts down the barrier after you, you rush to the catering area to get what you need for Adam & indulge yourself with a little bit of that delicious brownie that stood there, begging to be eaten. And since you only had a toast before you took off, well it counts as breakfast in your eyes. The two cups ready, you thank the barista and walk to Adam’s trailer. No sign of any of your coworkers yet, which makes you wonder if you’re late or something but not much time to second guess, you’ve got a schedule to follow. Knocking on the door quickly, you step back a little since the door opens to the outside and a few seconds later, it reveals the actor, dressed in a grey t-shirt paired with a matching sweat pants and the morning face that goes with it. You chuckle slightly at that vision & automatically offer him his cup of coffee, which he reaches for without thinking, greeting your gesture with a grunt. - “Not a morning person ?”, you ask still a bit amused by the litte scene you just witnessed. - “Usually I am but I didn’t get a proper night of sleep so... Thanks for the coffee,” he motions the cup towards you before gulping some long sips down. - “Sorry to hear about that”, you say with a compationate pout. He shrugs to say it doesn’t matter and you don’t dare ask what kept him awake. It’s not your place and certainly not your right. You’re here to make sure he gets where he needs to be on time, not to befriend him. But still, it hurts to see him like this and you have to block out that urge to hug him that’s creeeping in your mind. “Today’s pretty light regarding your schedule. You’ll have time to rest this afternoon,” you announce, breaking the silence that fell between you two since. - “I doubt I’ll be able to take a nap but nice of you to think about my weel-being”, he replies with a faint smile a he puts the cup on the table near him. - “That’s part of my job afterall”, you retort playfully enven though it trully is. “You’re expected in the wardrobe department in 45 minutes, do you need me to do anything in the mean time ?” - “Hmm... Nothing that I can think of right now, no. How long will the fitting be again ?”, he asks as he reaches for the fridge to get himself something to eat. “Do you want some ?”, he adds as he retrieves some eggs & bacon, turning to the tittle kitchen corner behind him. - “No thanks. I’m all set, thank you”, you decline the offer with a polite smile and add “about 2 hours according to the sheet, could be less, could be more depending on how many they want you to try out and additional fittings.” - “I thought this was your first time as a PA, how do you know all that ?”, he’s breaking an egg in the pan as he asks you that, making you blush instantly. - “It is yeah but... I’m, uh... I watch a lot of documentaries of my favorite movies behind the scenes, precisely because it lets you see that side of the process while making a movie so...”, you answer, feeling silly to tell him the truth and such a glimpse in your little unadventurous life. - “Oh god no, there’ll be one for this movie too. I hate those, I can’t see myself on any screen, I’ll look like a dick again”, he grunts as he’s scrambling the eggs now. You chuckle a little, releasing the breath you didn’t realize you were holding until then and he looks at you hearing it. “What’s so funny ?” - “I just find it odd that you can’t stand seeing yourself like that since well, no offense but...it’s kind of part of the job ? I mean it’s not like you weren’t aware it would be something you’ll have to do, it has to be included in your contract or something, right ?” - “Maybe, yeah, I guess so”, he says hastily and you can’t help but smile guessing he didn’t pay attention to this fine print when he signed it. He puts his breakfast in a plate and starts eating. “I’ll meet you outside in 25 minutes, I have to take a quick shower first.” You nod simply as he’s biting in his strip of bacon and without further a due, you take your leave. On the clock, 25 minutes later, the actor’s exiting his trailer, hair still wet which gives him some sort of a charm but you start walking in front of him, preventing yourself from making any misplaced look. The walk is silent ‘til you reach the building housing the wardrobe department, where you immediately feel at home, weirdly enough. There is some sort of background buzzing, you can hear & imagine the people working here, like little busy bees, making sure the costumes were perfect in order to sell the character to the audience. If you were a bit more crafty, you’d like to work in that kind of environment, very creative and never dull. - “Adam hi, Y/N welcome ! I’m Dylan, head of the department”, an older man introduces himself to you, very cheerful & full of energy. He’s not standing still and already next to the clothes racks, scanning them to find the ones Adam’s supposed to try out. “We’ve got a treat for you Mr. Sackler, I’m sure you’ll love it,’ he says, completely ignoring you as you return his greetings, Adam smiling uncomfortably at you. You let them proceed to the fitting, sitting in the corner and scrolling through your phone in order to catch up with the latest news & the messages you’ve received from Stew & Shirley. When you look up, you see Adam’s frame, shielded by Dylan but since he’s taller, you still catch a good glimpse and feel your cheek blush. Luckily the doesn’t notice so you check the time and let your gaze wander the room. The amount of pieces is impressive and you’d like to try many of them on. The fabric seems so soft on one dress that’s laying on the rack in the back of the room. Dylan’s talking non-stop & it’s starting to get on your nerves and you notice Adam is feeling the same way as you see his fists clenched at his sides. As your eyes meet, you can’t help but smile to let him know you share his pain. And it seems to help him a little since he smiles back and runs his hand in his hair, unwinding. You take that as your cue to get up and indulge your curiosity, taking a closer look to some of the costumes. Youd hand grazes over the soft velvet from a cape and your mind sets off in another time & place. It’s Adam’s voice that resonates behind you which brings you back, startling you a little. - “Try one on”, he says smiling like an idiot, clearly amused to caught you off guard. - “What ? No, I can’t, I won’t fit in any of them anyway”, you reply, taking a step back as if the rack was going to attack in defense, making Adam chuckle from the motion. - “Nonsense, here, try that one”, he takes one off the rack and hands it to you. “I won’t look, I swear”, he adds and raises his eyebrows, clearly instructing you to change. He stares at you & you know you’re not getting out of this one so you go in the corner and start undressing behind a screen. Surprisingly, you fit in that dress, making you wonder how he knew it’d fit without any doubt. - “I’m done”, you inform the tall man who turns around and smiles as he takes in the sight of you. “Don’t you dare laugh at me, this was your idea”, you add, pointing a finger at him. - “I wasn’t going to”, he says, raising his hands in the air to show his good faith, “but you look good. Purple suits you”; he replies as he steps closer to take a better look. “Turn around”, he asks and you comply. Once again, you sense your cheeks blushing but you take a deep breath as your back is facing him & manage to regain composure before you finish your turn. “My lady”, he teases you, faking a bow and you slap his hand in response. - “You’re mean, as no one ever told you that ?” - “I’ve lost count to be honest”, he quips back, grinning like an idiot. - “Why am I not surprised”, you retort as you walk back to the screen in order to change back in you clothes. But as you try to unzip the dress, you realize something’s off. The zipper is stuck. You curse under your breath and try it a couple more time but it doesn’t move. Just what you needed to ridicule yourself in front of him. - “It’s stuck !”, you yelp quickly, hoping he’ll come to your rescue. And luckily, he does. - “What did you do ?”, he asks, trying to move the zipper further down. - “Nothing ! It’s just stuck ! Get me out !”, you cry out, a slight panic attack coming up for you right now. What if Dylan or someone else catch you in that dress ? You could lose your job and you can’t afford that right now. Adam feels the build up and rests one of his hand on your shoulder. - “Relax. Breathe. It won’t move if you’re about to hulk out of this dress.” You’re close to snap back at him but you know he’s only trying to help you so you do as told and take a deep breath, closing your eyes to focus on anything else in order to calm down. Within a few seconds, your breathing’s even and you feel a sudden relief in your back. The zipper budgeg, you can finally get out of that dress. You let out a sigh of content, not even realizing that it meant Adam could now see your bra. From the back only, but still. - “I’ll... I’ll leave you to it then”, the actor says as he steps back and leave you behind the screen to take off the dress on your own. You felt some hesitation in his voice, was he flustered ? No, of course he wasn’t silly, you think to yourself, shaking your head as you put on your clothes. Why would he be flustered from that ? Stepping out of your hiding spot, you cough to let him know you’re done & you both stay silent for a few seconds. That’s precisely the moment Dylan comes back (you didn’t even noticed he was gone in the first place) and he’s still talking without any signs of stopping, offering you two a good excuse to act like nothing happened. When you both leave after Adam is done, none of you talk about the dress incident and you’re relieved because you’re still wondering if what you saw earlier on was real or just what you wanted to see. The day goes on smoothingly after that, having lunch with the other PAs helps you set your mind on something else and you decide to act as if it never happened is the best way to avoid creating any trouble with the tall man you’re working for.
