If there is one thing I have noticed in our garden this Summer, it's that all squash, zucchini and melons lead with a bunch of male blooms. The female blooms generally come after and are never as plentiful as the male blooms. Even in the garden we females are special. We are not a dime a dozen. 🤣🤩😅 From this garden lesson, we can also say the men take the lead and are the head of the "family". Brain: ooh looks like blood, what did you do? :D

Me: yeah of course, kinda looks like blood.

Peer: yeah thanks.

Me: *staring at the red marks on his pencil case* I...like the sight of blood.

Peer 2: did you just say you like the sight of blood

Me: yep, why?

Peer 2: you need better hobbies.

30 minutes later

Peer 2: so yeah guns are more efficent at killing people.

Me: but knives are more fun.... Messier but more fun.

Peer 2: im scared for your future

Me: *not listening* but... Poison is harder to track down... Also you could argue its more efficent...

Peer 2: okay....

Me: oh sorry im just morbidly curious about stuff like that

Brain: shes onto you, when do we kill her.

Me internally: your dumb you got me into this, and we are not killing her.

Today in postcards: the talk

Dear Senator Toomey,

Well, this is awkward, but I have to explain something. You see, during something called the menstrual cycle, the lining of a uterus-possessing person’s uterus grows and thickens. If the ovum released during that cycle’s ovulation becomes fertilized (you know how that happens, right? I do hope so), this lining nourishes the resulting embryo (a bundle of cells that may or may not become a baby someday). Should the ovum not be fertilized, the lining is shed in a process known as menstruation or a period (you may also know this as “a visit from Aunt Flow” or “lady troubles”). I’m telling you this, because you seem to be unaware of the relationship between pregnancy and menstruation. The former you consider a matter appropriate for you to legislate; the latter, your staff apparently considers an obscenity that should not be mentioned by your constituents. If you would like to avoid hearing about uterine lining, I strongly suggest pulling out of any discussion over how people ought to manage their own uteruses.
