guys I might unironically have a breakdown because a friend of mine told me about how she aspired to be in drum corps but her main instrument is the flute, so she was planning on taking lessons in Mellophone but when she asked a professor to start lessons, the prof told her that she probably shouldn't. And then my friend said "I'll never be good enough at drums to be in dci either" even though she played bass drum in a marching band for a year and I just. Hoh boy. I'm cryingb and weeping and grieving the loss of a secret dream I've held all along. I was rooting for her because she was just like me, a woodwind wanting to be in drum corps. And. I thought "hey if she can start playing a brass instrument and get in so can I" and like I always thought I'd learn trumpet pretty easily but. Hmmm. i think I can though. Lile I thought I'd feel heartbroken but more than anything I feel determined. Maybe if I dropped everything I know and moved to like singapore and starting training on trumpet there and joining some advanced music school for like two years and then moving back here and then being the best in the drum corps. Yeah I could do that.

but not realistically. What can I do now?

Listened to this album while doing the dishes today and I really took to it. It's some kind of metal (not my genre rabbit hole of choice) with a bit of jungle/breakcore flare. It's glitchy, fuzzy, and not very predictable but also has groovy, heavy cuts throughout.
