A mother's delight (c.1890). Eva Hollyer (English, 1865-1943). Oil on canvas.
Born into artistic family, Eva was primarily a figure painter, for which her sister Verna used to sit. Much of her work appears to have been illustrations for novels and many of her pictures were produced as postcards and photogravure prints.
