Tim lies, probably for the last time.

He's on his way to a date with Bernard, arguing with Jason about what restaurant is the best for the kind of vibe he wants, when a group of men in white suits pull up in vans and have him cornered.

They point what looks like a Geiger counter at him, and it lights up, shrieking.

"Are you Jason Todd?" One of them asks, leveling some sort of gun at Tim.

Tim, fully aware of Barbara's eyes through CCTV and the actual Jason Todd yelling at him on his phone, hangs up the phone and fully faces the man in white.

"Yes."

There's the click of a trigger being pulled, and then the world goes dark.

On the other side of Gotham, Jason launches himself from the couch the second the line goes dead, throwing on his gear and pushing the panic button he swore he'd never have a need for.

His idiot little brother did a sacrifice play, he doesn't know to who, and he has to go get the twerp before he gets seriously hurt.

Or: Tim, to ensure he would be able to do his mission after losing his spleen without succumbing to an infection, was given a shot of Lazarus Water without him knowing it. This means that when the Guys in White go to hunt down Jason Todd, who they are convinced is a ghost and therefore the only being in Gotham that can set off their Spook-o-meter, and Tim sets it off? They think they've got their ghost. Tim lies and says he's Jason, because he isn't sure what these people want, but if they're prepared for Jason then they aren't prepared for him.

thinking about Heath's POV in the AU where Keith accidentally goes back in time and saves his life and gets stranded in the past. Just. He's in a dangerous spot. He knows that. He was able to get the kid he was trying to rescue out of the burning house, but now he's trapped and the flames are just getting higher. He can't move the rubble that fell on him on his own, and he's pretty sure he's quickly approaching the end of his life.

He thinks about his son, alone back at home, and silently apologizes.

Then all of a sudden, someone else is in there with him. At first he thinks it's one of his fellow firefighters, but it's not. Whoever they are, they easily lift the rubble off of him and help him outside. They make it out just before the ceiling collapses entirely. If he had still been in there, he surely would have died.

Out of the fire, Heath finally takes a good look at his rescuer. There's a scar on his cheek that he recognizes as a burn, but that's not what catches his attention. No- what catches his attention is his eyes. He's only ever seen that shade of blue-purple on one person before. And the cut and style of his hair...

...he looks just like Keith.

But that can't be right. Keith is at home. And besides, his son is only eight years old- this person looks like he's in his early twenties. But at the same time...

...Heath would know his son anywhere.

from a vibes perspective, i totally understand why so many people look at keefe and go ‘this guy would be the male equivalent of a wine aunt when he’s older’.

taking lore into consideration, in my heart, he’s terrified of alcohol (even if he tries really hard to hide it). because. like. his first exposure is almost guaranteed to be through cassius, and cassius canonically threw a glass extremely close to him at least once when he was, like, 8. maybe cassius wasn’t always extra nasty when he was drunk, but there’s gotta be a correlation in keefe’s brain between risking getting seriously hurt (emotionally or physically) and alcohol consumption that’s really hard for him to shake.

The first time Danny sees Dick Grayson he calls him Tata.

Danny, in his Ghost Zone travels, befriended the Flying Graysons. John and Mary like him so much, that it started as a joke, sort of.

"Ahhhhh, the son we never had! Welcome!"

And it morphed into him jokingly calling them Tata and Daj. Then it wasn't really a joke anymore.

Then the Observants inform him that as far as Ghost Law is concerned, they're his Ghost Guardians.

This means that Danny has two sets of parents; Jack and Maddie on the human side of things, and John and Mary on the ghost side of thing.

So when he sees Dick Grayson, who looks a lot like John, it just slips out.

This leads to a very awkward stare off in the middle of a coffee shop.

Danny has no idea how to explain himself.
