so our haworthia cooperi started flowering again which is apparently actually a sign that the plant is doing well, unlike with a lot of other succulents where flowering tends to be a bad sign.
we didn't actually realise that the first time and ended up panicking and pruning the flower stalk, but I'm looking forward to actually seeing it flower now we know it's alright.

as a side note I'm convinced this plant is trying to propagate itself in any way possible because it currently also has a ridiculous amount of pups that we probably need to separate out but we're not sure what to do with them all.
apparently you can just leave it to keep doing this because that's how they grow in the wild, but I guess if we ever want to propagate it we shouldn't have too much trouble.

this is what it looked like when we first got it, just for comparisson

Haworthia cooperi is native to the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. The tips of the leaves are translucent and in the wild the plant typically grows partially submerged in sandy soil with the windowed leaves above the surface.

Still one of my favorite plants! I’m probably going to have to break that out to get it out when it eventually needs repotting… this is why we don’t use pots that are wider at the base.
