Personal Update:

I just updated my long fic, and no joke, it feels like I just paid off a credit card or something! It's been fighting me for months amid physical setbacks, focus issues, and the push and pull of family, but I'm FINALLY back on track! 😭

Peep Needs Help

Hi, uh, everybody! There's not really an easy way to put this and it's not exactly easy to talk about, so I'll keep it short.

I'm kind of mentally shot and I need help, but I need to get savings back that I've lost over the years from other emergencies so I have a cushion for therapy and doctors' appointments, just in case.

Art is my only income, and it's been ridiculously hard getting on my feet.

If you want to help out, I'm still doing those $25 headshots, and if you're really feeling generous I have my kofi right here.

I'm setting my minimum goal at $500. Which is about all I had anyway before other shit came up.

I'm sorry if this is troubling to any of my mutuals, but I do need help. Shit's kind of rough right now and I'm kind of running on fumes.

Not to get sappy and emotional on main, but I am genuinely so touched by everyone who has left a lovely comment or reblog on Leave a Light On.

I had a real crisis of confidence with this one. It was interesting coming back to something after not touching it for so many months, and after writing so many other things. The story I wanted it to be and the story is was on the page weren’t in agreement, and I spent the last month rewriting and finessing and rewriting again.

But I was really second guessing everything. It was like a terrible cycle of is this too soft? Too sentimental? Too prosey? Too try hard? Too much?

So much so it got to the point where I was contemplating not writing Part 2, and leaving it up to the reader to imagine what came next (I even have the receipts!). And it’s truly been the feedback I’ve received on it that has reinspired me to finish their story! I’m excited to eventually share the moments that were the original inspiration for this soft little piano story.

So thank you, thank you for all the support and the love on this fic! It truly means the world to me, and I’m so grateful for all of you! 🤍

I wish Wrex all the best. We lost dear Tabitha almost a year ago (she was 18), and it hurts. Elderly cats are such a treasure.
