i though it would be fun to try my hand at drawing the new ghoul cowboy character from the tv show with a retro twist! a little more in line with the older fallout style, just for fun, though this is a mishmash between a bunch of different ghoul design elements from 1 - 4. the mouth split and eye cover is pretty old school, but his facial features are more modern

i was thinking of fun ways to make him emote. eventually i landed on this, keeping his bottom lip and having the skin split as a body language supplement!

I love c!Techno so much, I love how he grows across the story, I love how he's one of the only characters who has canonically said "I was wrong" and tried to actually learn from his actions and be a better person, I love how he's too paranoid to trust anybody but still gives to others so freely, I love how he's so loyal to anybody who shows him even a shred of kindness, I love how he is strong and capable and not afraid of showing it, I love how it has made him unable to express vulnerability but he still tries to, I love how he canonically has PTSD, I love how he has a service animal, I love how Techno is the first to think the world is cruel and yet he's also the first to be kind to animals or even people for no reason, I love him, I love him, I love him

how many times do we gotta go over it man. thought crime isn't real. it's okay to feel whatever you're feeling. don't let anyone make you feel guilty for having some reflex reaction to stimuli in a way that is out of your control. the question isn't what you think or how you feel, but what you do. do you act upon those thoughts? do you harm others bc of your feelings? that's where you draw the line. keep it in your brain. vent it out in some personal way like a journal or a password locked blog. it's okay i promise

#saw a post abt sex repulsion that i mostly agreed with #until op said being disgusted by like. other people having sex is wrong #and like. i agree that if this is your knee jerk reaction you might need to look into it #but sometimes. it really is just disgust of the idea. like it's none of my business but i still find it unpleasant to see or think about #and as someone who feels guilty constantly abt everything. this is actually smth i don't feel guilty over #bc it's just an emotion and like i can't really help it. but also. some thoughts about the yugi twins and trust, recently

I have been reeling over this display of trust hanako shows tsukasa in 108 since it came out…

like, he barely even thinks here!! nene is in immediate danger, so what does he do to keep her safe? he throws her to tsukasa. he throws her without confirming a plan, knowing and trusting that tsukasa will catch her. he designates tsukasa as a safe place for nene to land (at least comparably) without hesitation. there's so!!!! much trust in this moment, no deliberation, just pure trust in tsukasa like it's the most natural thing in the world!! for all the attitude hanako gives him this chapter and for all the history between them, there's still trust all the way through, at the foundation of their relationship and right there at the surface, ready in waiting for when it's needed.

i've also been thinking a lot about this moment in 110:

for... similar but also different reasons? tsukasa looks right at hanako in that top panel. if tsukasa was wiping the floor with akane (quite literally... rip sorry akane) while he was in clock keeper form in his own boundary, i think it's very unlikely tsukasa couldn't have dodged hanako when he was handcuffed, drained of power, and tsukasa was looking right at him the whole time. tsukasa didn't move out of the way even though he could have!! he let hanako come at him with his knife, and he let hanako pin his wrist to the ground. he has questions, but he doesn't block any move hanako makes toward him. whatever hananko is about to do to him, he trusts it.

or at least, he’s fine with it, for the moment. of course... with tsukasa, that doesn't necessarily mean he trusts hanako not to hurt him... it could just be that he'd let hanako do whatever he wanted to him, whether it hurts tsukasa or not. which raises the question of whether that's a form of trust or a form of love in which trust isn't required. does tsukasa trust hanako's decision making? does he trust him not to hurt him? or does he love him so much that he'd rather hanako do whatever he wants no matter what? does tsukasa trust hanako the way hanako trusts him, or will he simply accept any form of attention hanako gives him, even if it's hanako coming at him with a knife?

will we get to see, soon, tsukasa's trust in hanako tested?

#he could also be so spatially aware that he could tell as hanako was coming at him that the knife wasn't aimed anywhere fatal #if the knife could even hurt tsukasa that is #maybe this turn of events just interests him and he'd like to see where it goes!! to learn more about amane!!#so many possible readings with him #and so many questions here about the relationship between trust and love #cant believe i got this post out lmao i look at that 108 panel and i have to go scream in the woods for 20 minutes #they make me lose my mind i can't believe that happened #tbhk 110 #tbhk spoilers #yugi twins #what’s love vs what’s trust vs what’s knowing you have the upper hand anyway and wanting to see what’s about to happen?

someone make a fic about eddie not trusting that steve is actually a good guy who wants to be friends (and more) and keeps being a dick to steve out of self preservation and no one noticing how much steve is hurting and how he’s slowly pulling away from them and retreating into himself bc he knew it he knew he wasn’t good enough he knew he’d never be good enough for anyone not his parents not nancy not his stupid high school friends and definitely not eddie fucking munson who looks at steve like he’s the scum at the bottom of his boot and calls him King Steve, and Your Highness in the most derogatory way he can manage but it’s never Just Steve and it makes steve feel so so small and he’s just so tired and emotionally rung bc he really liked eddie and he really thought they could’ve had something amazing and soft and sweet and he’s just so heartbroken that this amazing man hates him so goddamn much

#and then steve just can’t take it anymore and he just. stops trying #he doesn’t try to be friendly with eddie anymore he doesn’t acknowledge him when they’re in the same room #he flinches when eddie pats him on the shoulder once #and eddie thinks he just can’t stand his touch #and he feels sickly vindicated #like i knew king steve would never want the freak touch him i knew he hadn’t changed #and steve is just so tired #he can’t even feel comfortable around his friends anymore bc eddie is always there with a snide comment or a vicious little smile aimed #soley at steve and steve just wants to go home and cry #being alone sounds better than whatever fucked up thing eddie is going to do to him today #and the worst part is no one fucking notices #no one notices how mean eddie is to steve #and steve knows #knows that he’s not important enough to be paid attention to #but it still hurts #and steve just wishes eddie were a little more like billy #steve would rather take another plate to the head than to listen to eddie’s cruel little remarks again #this got away from me i wanted a happy ending but i guess my period was like no happy. only angst #steddie

i might've mentioned this before, but my biggest test for how healthy a relationship is, is a big blowout no-holds-barred fight.

I'm serious. i do NOT trust anyone until i've seen how they look when really truly angry. when the only thing holding them back is them, how do they act? do they play fair? do they aim to hurt you as badly as possible? do they take the slightest hint of discontent as evidence you're The Worst Person and an Abuser? or do they listen? do they still care about you through their anger? do they maybe say some hurtful things, but then apologize and try to work through the issue? do they see things are them vs you, or as both of you vs the problem?

everyone says stuff in anger sometimes. everyone has conflict, and that will probably turn into a fight once in a while. that's normal. the question is, are they mature enough to handle that like an adult?

#ive had so many relationships that i thought were going well until our first disagreement #and then they went fucking feral on me #i cant be secure in a relationship until i know that even when we have bad days you arent gonna flip out on me #anger is fine. i know people with anger issues. they sometimes hurt me. i sometimes hurt them too.#the point is we apologize and dont try to make anyone scared to cause conflict #there's such a huge difference between like...them hurting me bc they're distressed and flailing #and them hurting for me because they were aiming for my fucking eyes or whatever
