Where did the majority of your clothes come from? Not one single place. I like getting clothes from a variety of shops and I'm not picky with where I buy them.
Have you ever attempted to sculpt something from ice? I've never done that, but that sounds like an interesting class to take now that I think about it.
What's so amazing about Shark Week? I never learned what that is actually.
Do you wear sunglasses in the winter? You should. We don't have winter, and sunglasses and I don't make a good pair (hehe) because then I have to take off my glasses and I wouldn't be able to see anything anyway.
Have you ever had to wear an oxygen mask? No, never had to.
Do you have a dreamcatcher? I do.
Is there someone you ALWAYS bump heads with? No. I hate conflict and try to go about disagreements in a calm way.
What's your favorite thing you own that YOU made? I don't think there is anything.
Have you ever starved yourself? Yeah...
What do you spend all of your money on? Mostly on food, if I do spend; but I'm sure once BTS is back I'll be spending on K-pop again lol. I'm happy with my little hiatus for now.
Do you like Robot Chicken? I don't know what that is.
What movie character would you like to be a part of your family? Not a movie, but Clunkers the dog from Friends haha. And the dog that Phoebe got Joey when he got all sad over Rachel.
What's the last thing you were an audience of? Seventeen concert last January.
Has anyone ever had to physically restrain you from doing something? Sure.
Do you raise your voice when you get angry? No. I only do when I'm angry and feel like I'm getting interrupted or talked over.
Do you like the pretzel M&Ms? I've never tried them but they sound kinda delicious.
Have you ever been accused of thinking you're too good for something? Well I don't think I'm a master of anything, so.
Do your scars tell sad or happy stories? My one notable scar is just an annoying story of a distant cousin who didn't know how to behave around people and was not supervised properly by his parents.
Have you ever walked straight into a wall/door? I don't think I have haha.
Have you ever been embarrassed to have a crush on someone? Little bit.
Is there anything you're trying to move on from? Continued from a few days ago idk how long. Just the whole craziness of how Wrestlemania 40's been, although it's safe to assume I won't be able to for a while haha.
Have you ever stolen someone's boyfriend? Nope.
Are you careful with your words? As much as possible.
Do you have a locket? What's the picture inside of it? Nope.
Describe the most interesting vehicle you've ever seen. Nothing comes to mind right now...
Would you be afraid to take a public bus anywhere? Have never taken a bus besides the private buses we'd have for like school field trips or whatever lol. Just seems too dangerous to me plus I'll never know if I'm sitting beside a pervert man.
Have you ever given anything to someone who is homeless? Before I used to give change and snacks, but for safety reasons I've stopped.
What are you feeling, right now? Elated from Wrestlemania weekend, happy that we have two holiday weekdays this week so I don't get to go back to work til Thursday.
How do you react when you feel embarrassed about something? I guess it depends what kind of embarrassed it is? There's the light-hearted kind in which I just laugh it off, then there's like a checking-on-someone's-grandma-not-knowing-she-died embarrassed that makes me want to quit socializing.
Have you ever tried to 'fix' someone? Yes.
What's in your copy and paste? A link to a wrestling streaming site.
How many stuffed animals do you own, and what are they? I have lke 5 BT21 plushies, some of Tata and others of Koya.
When's the last time you were carried by someone? Three weeks ago when we had our company outing, and I was the one who led our dodgeball team to victory lol. All those lunch periods in third grade spent playing dodgeball were finally ROI'd haha
Have you ever accidentally taken a shower with like your underwear left on, or something? Not my underwear but I've turned on the shower with my glasses on, heh.
Can you twirl things well? Like, just noodles I guess? I don't really...twirl things on a regular basis.
Do you have bangs? I had them like a week before the pandemic kicked in so no one ever really saw them lol. I got rid of them halfway through 2021 and it was still pandemic-y at the time, so at the end of the day no one ever really saw me in bangs. I'm still a little peeved about it HAHA
Have you ever seen someone who wore a real eyepatch? I knew a kid in school who did. She was also one of my sister's close friends.
What started the last 'cat-fight' you were involved in? I've never been in a catfight.
Would you agree that it's extremely disrespectful to 'test' someone in a relationship? I wouldn't call it disrespectful but I do find it a waste of time. Just address things head-on; communicate.
Do you go all out on dressing up for pep-rallies and the like? I never attended pep rallies when I was in college.
What's in your locker? I haven't had a locker since 2016.
Are you in possession of any currency that isn't used in your country? I have a Korean won bill that Angela got me a few years ago; I also have a handful of Thai baht coins left.
Did anyone witness your last kiss? Doubt it.
Do you remember Hamtaro? No.
What about Peewee Hermin? Yeah I know Peewee. He was associated with WWE for a time and afaik one of my fav wrestlers used to be obsessed with him haha.
Do you have any younger siblings? I have two.
Are you cool with them, or do they annoy you to no end? My sister and I are close.
Do you know anyone with a kind of creepy smile? Eh, no.
Anyone with Bieber Fever? Sure! I know a few who grew up with JB and still have a soft spot for their Bieber fevers. I find it generally endearing how people my age have been rediscovering our old interests, just now in a much more unashamed light :)
Have you tried Cupcake Pebbles cereal? I don't think so.
What's your favorite ride at an amusement park? Whatever that's not a rollercoaster or those rides that shoot all the way down at like 500 kph lmao. Basically anything that takes it easy on my sensitive motion sickness.
Last person you flipped off? Idk probably a driver.
Have you ever been on TV? No. I've been behind the camera during live news programs though.
Are you currently distancing yourself from anyone? Yes.
Trying to get close to anyone? Nope.
Anyone who's way over protective of you? My parents have considerably toned down but they are still a bit protective.
Do you like dubstep? It's okay.
Have you ever been to a rave? Yes.
Have you any friends that are twins? No.

So grateful. 1)video of me pulling Jamo and his bike so he could take a quick Nutella pretzel snack break and ruin his clothes completely before the day even got started. We can’t have nice things. 2) me and my ride or die @ reinahidalgo521 who I now call crash (check out her knee) 3) video evidence of my family getting along doing cool things - I hate that I said “ be careful”. And yeah- rentals. 4) Danube River beauty 5) is nice to have an assistant and friend @ dollarsignteffi who really takes care of you and knows when you need to be put in the emotional baby carrier. 6) my heart and soul 7) I live here now and make Riesling finally 8) this is where I can be found (I wish) what an incredible day! I love looking through other peoples OCs for FFxv bc they’re all these cool, collected, elegant, beautiful, well put together bitches and i’m over here with my absolute bastard gremlin of a child lmao
case in point:
[Some Selections from the 16546343 outlines i have for this story]
*Somewhere out in the middle of the woods*
“Guys! There’s free dogs in the bushes!!” She pops up out of the bushes holding up a baby Hundlegs proudly. :D
“NEJRY PUT THAT DOWN AT ONCE!!!” Ignis hollers in concern.
<:(
****
“What’s the matter Mr. Scientia? You don’t want to partake in Prom’s delicious Nut Coating™?” She holds up the box of gluten free breading alternative and can’t even contain her laughter long enough to get the joke out.
Ignis is devastated
“I believed in you, Nejry…”
“Please Don’t.” She laughs out, giving him a pat on the back in apology
****
“🎶Ta-cos, ta-cos, TAC🎶—-….can I be weird in peace without you clowns appearing out of nowhere FOR FIVE MINUTES???” How dare they interrupt her taco song???
****
“Oh dude, if you ever decide to get tits this bra is 🎶amazing🎶.” She says to Prompto during their conversation in the Pit before all hell breaks loose.
****
“I don’t know what that was but fifty percent of my bloodline is telling me I’m going to die first if we don’t get the fuck outta’ here!!” [Halloween episode.]
“I WISH I HAD SEVEN LEAGUE TALL BOOTS!” Said when trying to get the absolute FUCK out of the motel with the ghost car.
****
The group gets stuck in the middle of nowhere inside the Regalia while Daemons surround them menacingly. They were safe thanks to a teensy-weensy itty-bitty speck of a haven they managed to stall over.
“Gladio, get out and push.” Says Nejry through a mouthful of trail mix and laughing at the man's reflection in the rearview mirror.
The daemons seem to be playing ring-around-the-Rosie with their car. Much to their confusion.
“Yeah Gladdy-o, get out and push.” Prompto rolls over in his seat to flash a grin at the Shield.
“Fuck all of you, I ain’t going out there.” Gladio states firmly, struggling to keep Noct from drooling all over his shirt.
****
“I will not take criticism from someone who still needs to shop in the Children’s section…” Nejry says casually to a snarky Noctis as they wander through the store, nearby they hear Gladio choking on his pretzel.
****
“Wait, is this going to be like last time?” Noct asks, pulling away from her to glare at her.
“What? No dude, I promise it won’t be like last time.” Nej responds truthfully.
*cue spongebob title card with the words “three days earlier” on it*)
    -
Nej and Noct are fishing alongside each other [bc Nej was bored and always wanted to learn how to fish anyway and Noct enjoys the non-backseat fishing company] and decides to mess with him.
“Hey Noct, watch this:” she starts flailing around violently with her fishing rod, the line going everywhere until after a few minutes she reels in a fish much to Nocts utter shock.
>:O “What the SHIT? Lemme try!”
Smash cut to her standing out on the bank laughing to herself and drinking a soda as Noct is in the middle of the lake flailing about like a lunatic. Ignis is standing by Nej on the shoreline, clearly aware of the woman’s intentions and yet strangely saying nothing to the Prince. Gladio walks up to them and sees Noct standing out in the middle of the lake like a dumbass.
He stares at him for a moment before turning to the others.
“…the fuck is he doing out there?”
“Nejry is apparently trying to teach Noctis a new fishing technique, but I believe that there are shenanigans afoot.” Nearby Nej lets out an affronted gasp.
“Ignis I would never.” Counters Nej who is doing her damndest to keep a straight face. She looks back to Noct who is looking very discouraged. “You got this Noct! Don’t sweat the technique! Do the call like I taught you!”
“Are you sure this will work?”
“It will trust me!” She assured him, the lie sliding smoothly past her lips. She gave him a double thumbs up to emphasize her point. Surely there was no way he would doubt her.l after the double thumbs up.
She could see Noct squint at her for a brief moment, and she feared that he might have seen through her ruse for the briefest of moments. Finally he bent forward, placing his arms on his hips [which was a feat considering he had to juggle a fishing pole] and rearing back his head he let out a great “KALOO-KAKOO!” To the Heavens above, scattering the birds and sending the mechanic and the Shield to ground in a fit of roaring laughter.
“Dear gods....” Ignis is so disappointed in Noct.
****
“Guys guess what!?” Noct comes sailing in from God knows where to tell them about the AssCreed festival happening in town.
“We’re abandoning this quest to reclaim the throne and becoming a bubblegum pop band called ‘Noctis Caelum and the Caeluminettes’?” Nej not missing a beat.
“*deep breath of Calming* Nejry. I’m going to need you to take me seriously for about five minutes, please. :)” *insert the spongebob “boi” meme*
****
“MISTER IF YOU DON'T GET YOUR ASS INTO A LANE AND STAY THERE I PROMISE YOU I'LL GO FERAL.” Road rage isn’t her thing but sometimes you gotta let an idiot have it...
“Ah I see you’re trying to pass me , let’s see if we can’t  make you regret the decision :)” *speeds up*
“NEJ, STOP TRYING TO KILL US!”
****
“SO WHEN THE NIGHT FAAAAALLLS MY LONELY HEART CAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLS!!” Nej and Prompto for obvious reasons.
“Must you two do this every time you are in the front seat?!??!?” - Ignis is so very tired...
“Must you always criticize my hobbies?” Prompto, fires back in mock hurt
“That’s just his way of saying that he wants an encore!” Nejry reaching for her phone
“NEJRY DON'T YOU DARE!”
****
“Hi-diddly ho, Bitch a ree nos!”
****
Nejry is having a tough day and goes to Ignis for assistance. “Ay can you cast Silence on me real quick? I gotta let some shit out.”
“Of course.” Ignis obliges. She signs “thank you” in sign language before walking off.
Noct and Ignis continue their conversation as usual while she is in the background primal screaming.
****
“Rations are low so I’ve devised the best way to make our meat last as long as possible”
“We’re going to combine all of it into one gigantic super patty named (this segment is in a speech balloon that completely obscures Ignis’ face) “EL BURGITO.”
It is imperative that the camera pans back to show the campsite to emphasize just how loud she says this.
Ignis just fucking *stares* at her while she has this shit eating grin on her face.
****
“What’s the matter Noct?” Asks a concerned Nej when Noct is in a pouty mood and rests his head on her shoulder.
“Mmmnhm.” He responds pitifully, face covered by her shoulder.
“Do you want to talk about it?”
“NO.”
“...do you want to trick Ignis into playing my horny music again and watch him spontaneously combust?”
“...yes 🥺”
“Come on then, let's go trick Ignis into playing my horny music again and watch him spontaneously combust...” she grabs his hand like a child and leads him off to go get her phone.
****
*When asked about having to travel with the Prince and his retainers by a starstruck Cissnei*
“Oh yes it is quite difficult to travel with four extremely attractive men.” She admits. “But I also know these assholes on a more personal level so any kind of attraction I may feel is struggling against the knowledge of their more personal...habits.” Prompto’s ears went a light shade of pink.
“... I said I was sorry for farting the last time we shared a bed” Prompto said in a quiet voice, staring down at his feet sheepishly.
****
“What do your tall bitch eyes see?” Came Nejry’s voice from the sea of wheat below.
“...wheat.” Gladiolus replies, staring out at the vast ocean of grainery, his head being the only one visible in the scene while Ignis is out there looking like a damn shark with his hair poking out.
****
“You think that an actual Maiden's Kiss, like from a girl, will work in a pinch?”
“Only one way to find out.” Gladio shoots Nej a cheeky grin.
“I absolutely will not put any part of my lips on any one of y’all as a damn toad...” she fires out.
“Aw...”
****
“Who’s better at navigating than me?!” Poor Prompto, not knowing what he just set himself up to.
“A map...” Ignis
“The stars...” Gladio
“A random dude off the street...” Noctis
“A candle...” Nejry
“Throwing a dart in a random direction and following where it lands...” Noctis
“A piece of string...” Nejry
“A stray cat...” Ignis
“Moss...” Gladio
“🎶The painted colors of the wiiiind...🎶” Nejry
Meanwhile Prompto’s got those realistic anime eyes on his face. “It just keeps going...” text next to him.
Honestly
I fucking love this dumb idiot i’ve created…

Here's my last post on what I was currently doing on my birthday. I went to Denny's for Breakfast with my mom. I haven't been to Denny's ever since my 9th birthday. So I got the grand slam and my mom got some food too. I tried their cinnamon pancakes which is different then how IHOP usually sells. And I got some Eggs and Bacon with my pancakes. My mom got pancakes too buttermilk and got eggs and potatoes with her meals. It was really delicious. After I had breakfast, I decided to play some video games with my family, afterwards, we went to the mall and bought some stuff from bath and body works to pick a bunch of lotions and stuff, afterwards we went to eat Pretzel dogs for lunch at Wretzel Pretzel, then we went to the Arcade and played a bunch of Arcade games like Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Centipede, Mortal Kombat, Dance Dance Revolution and even Simpsons Arcade. But mostly racing like Cruisn Exotic very classic. But I also first time playing @murumokirby360 and @lordromulus90 favorite racing game, Midnight Maximum Tune. It was pretty amazing I got so good at that game! That game rocks it makes me feel like Shadow should race Spot and Fuse in that game. After I use up my two hours for playing the Arcade, we use the tickets to buy prizes. I bought a baby Sonic Plush from the Live Action Sonic movie it is really cute. I think I had the greatest birthday ever! Even for Dinner I had some Fried Chicken from Churches and these Famous Bowls from KFC that had Macaroni and Cheese with Corn and Chicken pieces. And for Cake I just had a chocolate cake from Costco Wholesale which we get those cakes from them a lot. Especially if it's chocolate or vanilla.
People I tagged @bryan360 and @alexander1301

I work in a pet store and I'm on day 2 of omad. I was feeling drained and not so good. I tried salty water, but the headache didn't want to stop. After my shift I bought dog treat and ate it in my car. No worries, I made sure the dog treat was safe for human. After my small binge I decided to check the c@ls and I got suprised I only ate 150 c@ls and felt full! So yhea, doggy treat (as long as it's safe for human) is low cal and kinda delicious not gonna lie!
It was just unsalted pretzels with natural peanut butter flavor. Satisfied my craving for crunchy and felt full after a good portion and was low cals 💖

M and I made it to Austin a few weeks ago for the first time, and we were able to extend our stay into the weekend so we could spend some time with Baltimore friends who we hadn’t seen since they had moved to Austin right before the pandemic. It was utterly lovely to see them, and they showed us such a good time: after we got to their lovely home, they took us to the Celis Brewery which is not far from where they live just north of the city, and the beers were delicious. The brewery had a lovely outdoor space with some food trucks (pretzels and flatbreads--yes and please) and a nice Astroturf surface with outdoor games and tables so everyone, from couples to groups to families to dogs, can have a place to hang.
A string quartet, representing Austin Camerata, a local chamber music group dedicated to bringing classical (and classical renditions of modern songs) to underserved audiences, played as we were about to head back to the house, but they sounded awesome and if you are in the area, check out their performances--they are fantastic performers.
Dinner was at the Eldorado Cafe, another local gem in the suburbs that was utterly charming. Our waiter was super nice and helped the two newbs (you know, us) pick the right food from our shortlists, and the Tex-Mex overall was just what we needed. It comforted us so much that we slept super-well that night!

Homosassa's Riverfront Revival - part 2
Tumblr media
With the recent flooding damage to the west side of the Nature Coast, we wanted to make sure you are up to date on some fun dining choices. The menus may have been limited by Hurricane Idalia's encroachment on our area, but the staff and places are ready to welcome you NOW! And, the weather is finally cooling down, so my desire for a meal on the waterfront has been growing. How about you? Some things have changed since our original writing in 2020. I can't find out if the Freezer is open yet. Be sure to call before driving up there to ensure it's open for business. Also, the Florida Cracker Kitchen is now open at the Resort. It's worth a visit and we will update with our findings as soon as we can. Meanwhile, feel free to contribute your suggestions in the comments. New vibes are infiltrating the waterfront on both sides of Homosassa’s bountiful River. Foodies rejoice! Plan an overnight stay to indulge in fresh seafood, live music, and beachfront parties along Halls River Road and South Boulevard. This is the second part of our story about the positive change we are witnessing in one of our favorite parts of Florida's Nature Coast. If you missed part 1, click here to start at the beginning. West Yulee Drive Leads to more Good Food and Good Times! Now it was time to visit the other side of the Homosassa River, found by driving on West Yulee Drive. The first thing I noticed was that the old hot dog place had reopened as Nauti Time, a shrimp and wing place. The Old Mill Tavern is famous for its wings, and The Museum Café features a pressed Cuban sandwich with yellow beans with rice. If you are lucky, the Museum Café will have guava pastries when you visit. Get one. And save time to visit the interesting printing museum that is free to visit onsite, as the owner is a Tampa printer by trade. Yulee Sugar Mill Ruins boiling vats and smokestack by Barrett Hardy. The Yulee Sugar Mill Ruins are located right here. This tiny Florida State Park offers visitors an opportunity to grasp the size of the sugar mill operation that Senator David Yulee was operating until the Union armies burned his plantation to the ground. More information here. A café is open in the River Safaris building, which boasts an expansive yard on the river. Here you can enjoy lunch fare and then experience the thrill of their Homoasassa River airboat tours! Florida Cracker Monkey Bar If you follow West Yulee Drive to the end, you will end up in the Homossassa River. Just before you get there, turn right and head to 5297 S. Cherokee Way, where you can check out the Florida Cracker Monkey Bar, part of the Florida Cracker Riverside Resort. Purchased in the last year, the resort’s new owners have torn down dilapidated buildings and renovating what is worthwhile. It’s got a fresh, open look, offering great views of Monkey Island, where four monkeys entertain countless visitors with their antics. There are more boat slips and the open-air bar and food truck offer some great craft beer, cocktails, and spirits. Hot blue crab dip with a great view of the Homosassa River and Monkey Island. Image by Diane Bedard. The current Monkey Bar menu is somewhat limited - Stone-baked pizzas, flatbreads, sandwiches, dips, and pretzels are offered. We had Grandma McKethan’s Hot Blue Crab Dip with pita chips.  It was colorful and a pleasure to share while watching the monkeys and watercraft gliding by. If you are looking for something more substantial, visit the Florida Cracker Kitchen on the same property. The Freezer - may not be open due to Hurricane Idalia damage The Freezer, at 5590 South Boulevard, used to be a wholesale seafood company where Homosassa fishermen would sell their catch. Today, there is a casual waterfront restaurant specializing in steamed shrimp by the pound. No plates. Just great food, beer, and a wide-open atmosphere. Riverfront tiki, fresh steamed shrimp, and spreadable mullet dip make for a refreshing and delicious visit to The Freezer, a wholesale seafood seller who went restaurant in a good way! Steamed shrimp and mullet dip – both were a pleasure to the taste buds, and we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing along the tiny tributary at one of the tables on the grass. Our server was attentive and friendly. We learned about how the tiki roof over the Freezer’s bar was crafted by Seminole Indians in only three days! Craft beer and fun are part of The Freezer’s vibe – you can’t help but be in a great mood here! Formality is not part of this scene. Pull up, moor your boat, and enjoy having your food and beverage delivered right to the craft if you want more privacy. Maybe you prefer to eat onboard your watercraft? Pull up and dock for onboard delivery. Image by Diane Bedard. Wild Sassa & Shelly’s Seafood Wild Sassa is operated by two feisty ladies from a tiny food truck that seems to be permanently fixed behind Shelly’s Seafood. Wild Sassa used to cater charters for some of the local captains, and they may still do that, but today we visited with the simple hope of trying their wares. Fresh ingredients and creative combos make Shelly's Seafood tacos a win-win! Bring your own chair or pull up a seat at their picnic tables and enjoy the experience. Image by Sally White. Casual is the name of the game here. Picnic tables and lawn chairs offer seating for a few lucky patrons. You can certainly bring your own and set them up or order your food to go because it is DEEEE-licious! Wild Sassa is known for its “shrimpy burger,” but we chose tacos when we visited. We tried 4 of the six varieties of tacos offered – mahi, shrimp, beef, and tuna. Sold in pairs, each taco comes with sauce, generous portions of protein, slaw, salsa and queso. Fresh and local is what Shelly's Seafood specializes in. Image by Diane Bedard. While waiting for our freshly prepared food, we visited Shelly’s Seafood, a local fish house that sells the freshest fish! Stone crab claws were in – 3 sizes to boot! Shelly’s is right on the water with a friendly staff and reasonable prices. The Shed at MacRae’s Bar food from MacRae's was good, but the seafood gumbo was outstanding. This waterfront outdoor venue has a bait shop, gas pump for boat motors, restrooms, and even a butterfly garden. "Everything for the fisherman" is one of their tag lines. Images by Diane Bedard. Our last stop was The Shed at MacRae’s. This local resort next to the boat ramp is local intitution. Their full liquor bar is right on the water, bait shop adjacent, plenty of boat slips, and a butterfly garden, across from Crump’s Landing. MacRae’s serves primarily bar food from an onsite food trailer; fried pickles and crab balls were our choices. I added a bowl of gumbo and it was amazing! Shrimp, fish, sausage, rice, and roux – lots of fish and even mussels – made it a great choice. As full as I was, I ate all my gumbo and recommend you order some when you visit too. Homosassa’s New Vibe on the River After years of being a quiet place to visit for sportsmen, Homosassa’s riverfront restaurants and resorts are coming into their own. From the traditional fresh, locally caught seafood at a picnic table to international cuisine available inside or riverside to a Jimmy Buffet-inspired tiki resort, it is a great place to visit for a day, a weekend, or an entire vacation. Whether you live ten miles or a thousand-miles from here, Homosassa is a great getaway for anyone to let your hair down, pick up a cold one, enjoy the river breezes and dream the day away. There are hotel rooms, river resorts, RV parks and private home rentals near or on the water. Lodging information can be found here. Read the full article

Katelyn Dowell
Our last day in Philadelphia brought many surprises. We began our day at the Constitution Center in Philadelphia. We first watched a theatrical presentation called “Freedom Rising” that summarized the history of the United States up to the signing of the Constitution. I was impressed and surprised by how well presented the production was preformed. The interactive exhibits were fun and engaging, especially the Signing Room. The Signing Room was filled with statues of the men who were present when the Constitution was signed. It was fascinating to know who signed it, who did not, and the varying ages of the men present (from age 29 to Benjamin Franklin at age 81). The employee at the museum gave us more insight into the men, telling the backstory of those whom I did not know of. It was an engaging experience.
We ate lunch at the Reading Terminal Market and it was delicious. My mom and I ate a gyro from the Greek restaurant, cinnamon pretzel, and coffee. After eating we walked through the Philadelphia’s City Hall, and then to the LOVE sign. When we got to the LOVE sign there was a wedding ceremony happening underneath it. We took a picture, and then stayed to the end of the short ceremony to applaud the happy couple.
From there we walked to The Franklin Institute Science Museum where we found some “hidden gems.” We saw the Benjamin’s Franklin statue and memorial, and one of the Wright Brothers’ Planes (built in 1911).
For our last site of the tour we went to the Eastern State Penitentiary. At first, I was not excited to walk around an old prison. My mind quickly changed. When taking our tour, we learned about the controversies regarding prisons especially solitary confinement. Our guide said that everything the prison originally stood for was turned on its head. The prison was originally run to enforce reformation by solitary confinement. As numbers increased, however, the place became overpopulated, and the prisoners were no longer in solitary confinement. We saw numerous cells (including that of Al Capone) and learned of conditions of the prison over the years. There were also women, teenagers, and a dog sentenced to the penitentiary. The most eye opening aspect of the penitentiary was simply thinking about the controversy of the penal system, which made me ask questions about what the prison system says about our society. The Eastern State Penitentiary was fascinating and thought-provoking.
We ended the night at an Italian restaurant. The food was so good and authentic. I enjoyed reflecting on the trip with my classmates and hearing about our favorite parts of the trip. The American Grand Tour was a wonderful experience, and certainly one I will never forget.

Just chatting about some stuff
I went on a joyride today, mostly just to get out of the house. I picked up a wooden cutting board from Ross, and for nostalgia reasons, I snagged a Britney Spears perfume.
My partner took me to the mall to buy some stuff for me- a couple new bras, shirts and comfy pants. I also got this delicious smelling lotion, one of those hemp lotions. It smells like papaya.
They also bought me a new makeup tackle box and some eyeshadow brushes. (They said I should get one to keep in the car, since my makeup is strewn about at the moment. I couldn't say no, it's a smart investment.)
They said they wanted to spoil me for Valentine's Day, which was cute an unexpected. We don't celebrate holidays or birthdays much these days.
After we got home, we made pretzel dogs for dinner and I took a very long, well needed shower. The past week has been crazy stressful.
I feel better. It's been a good day.

Oh, what a great day we had yesterday!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We had my work Christmas party at the zoo, and it was such a fun time! We got there around 3:30, and we started off my getting some yummy soft pretzels and buying some better gloves, because ours weren't cutting it! It was definitely a cold one yesterday. Then we made our way over to the penguins and reptile building (once again, to keep warm). We rode the carousel 2 times, and then made our way to the pavilion where we were all meeting for the party.
There was such delicious food; there was a nacho bar, mini hamburgers and mini hot dogs, mac and cheese, a s'mores bar! After we got our fill of food, we went back out to see the lights, and it was snowing!!!! It was beautiful. 🥹❄️ We rode the train and saw the elephants, and then it was time to head back into the building to warm up with some hot chocolate! By that time, it was nearing 9pm, so we bundled back up and got back to our car and drove home.
I fell on the couch immediately into an unbelievably comfortable position and fell asleep within 20 minutes probably. I woke back up after midnight and saw that Rowan was passed out next to me. 😆
📖 BOOKS: I am reading (but almost done with) In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren. I'm not sure what to read next?! Another holiday rom-com, or one of my many fantasy titles I need to read?!
🎵 MUSIC: On the way to the zoo yesterday, I made everyone listen to my "new music playlist" on Apple Music, and the first song that played was "Depression Season" by Atreyu & Kayzo... it's a confusing song about depression, but you can headbang to it a little, and at one point we kind of felt like we were in a rave. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but it was just so funny because Isaac brought up that fact that it's a head-bopper about mental illness, and I said, "Only the mentally ill will think that's hilarious," as I cackled incessantly! 🤣 And Isaac said, "Well I guess I'm not mentally ill," but then I one-upped him by saying he's definitely mentally ill because he's been with me for 11 years. 😂🤣

Disney 2022 Day 3: Hollywood Studios and the Day Kelly Tried to Kill Me.
We had to head home today, so we were up early to pack and load the car before heading to the park. This time, Nathan took pictures of where we left the car so we wouldn't have a repeat of the Epcot incident. While Kelly stopped to get her scooter for the day, the rest of us hauled butt to the back of the park to get in line for Slinky Dog Dash since we weren't able to snag a lightning lane for it. Our plan paid off (along with getting into the park 30 minutes early as resort guests) and we got in line before they'd even opened the ride. We waited maybe 20 minutes. By the time we got off, the wait time was up to 60 minutes so our plan was solid. Andrea and I mobile ordered breakfast Ronto wraps from Galaxy's Edge and ran over there to get them while Kelly and Nathan waited for Woody's Lunchbox to open so they could get lunchbox tarts. After a nutritious space breakfast (complete with space Diet Coke for me and blue milk for Andrea), it was time for our Individual Lightning Lane for Rise of the Resistance. I love that ride so much and the line gets so long, but we waited like 5 minutes. Well worth the extra cost in my opinion.
Tumblr media
After we escaped the First Order and crash landed on the rebel base, it was back to Toy Story Land to ride Midway Mania. If you look at the scores, I won this time but my wonderful wife likes to point out that her accuracy was twice mine. What can I say? Sometimes spray and pray is the way to go lol . We got off the ride and were discussing what to do next. I *really* wanted to see the Beauty and the Beast stage show so we were heading over there when it happened. I felt something hit me from behind. Kelly had lost control of the scooter and accidentally run into me. She took a solid chunk out of the back of my heel. I wasn't even going to stop to look until I realized my foot was kinda sliding around in my sandal... sat down on a curb to check and realized I was bleeding pretty good. Andrea and Nathan went to find ice and paper towels and wash out my shoe and in the meantime a nice cast member came over to check on me. The medical team ended up coming over and patching me up, at one point there were like six or seven cast members circled around forming a wall. It made me feel kinda self conscious to be honest, but I appreciated the sentiment. They got Kelly a new scooter and a wheelchair for me. I wasn't gonna accept the chair but then I stood up and realized I could barely walk on my heel. The original cast member who stopped even got us VIP seating for the 1 pm Beauty and the Beast show.
All the drama had made us hungry, so we headed over to Baseline Taphouse for lunch. Andrea and I had some delicious strawberry lemonade while Nathan got an amazing strawberry hibiscus soda. We shared a huge pretzel with some of the best beer cheese I've ever eaten, a charcuterie board with really good cheese and salami and a coffee-rubbed steak puff that was phenomenal. After lunch it was time for dessert. I mean, is it truly a Disney trip without a Mickey Premium Bar?
Tumblr media
After our ice cream, it was time for Beauty and the Beast!!! There is a SLIGHT chance I POSSIBLY cried a little bit. I will neither confirm nor deny.
Tumblr media
I don't think Nathan was as excited as we were for the show, but hey, we got to sit in the shade under big fans for a half hour. Could have been worse!!!
Tumblr media
The show was so good!!! I recommend anyone see it but doubly so if you're a big Beauty and the Beast fan.
Tumblr media
After this it was time for our lightning lane for Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway. That ride is so cute and I love it so much! Then, Kelly and Nathan had to get to their Oga's Cantina reservation and Andrea and I headed over to the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular. I hadn't seen it since the 90s and this was the first time it had been open since Andrea started coming to Disney World! It holds up surprisingly well.
Tumblr media
We met up with Kelly and Nathan again afterwards for a little bit, did a little bit of shopping and then Andrea and I had to go, since our flight left at 7:30.
The trip home was an absolute comedy of errors. I parked the rental car in the wrong place, and had to limp back down and move it to the right spot. We got a wheelchair to get down the concourse and through security which helped immensely, but we couldn't get Andrea's boarding pass pulled up for a bit which was a HUGE pain. Then our flight was delayed. I was getting SUPER nervous because we didn't have that much of a layover in Dallas. We landed in Dallas and OF COURSE our connection was on the other side of the concourse so we had to book it (as much as I could). We literally made it to the gate as the plane started boarding. I was pretty convinced our luggage was NOT going to make it home.
The best part of the trip home was the plane from Dallas to Colorado Springs. It was a newer plane and seemed to take into account that larger people like to fly too. We could actually use our tray tables and didn't need the seatbelt extenders!!! I even managed a bit of a nap. We were home and in our beds by 12:30 am. It was a quick trip but SO much fun. We have a cruise booked in April as well as some park time so stay tuned!!!

Under the Bridge
There's the general giddiness of living with S, the Golden (Retriever) excitement when she comes home from work, the presents she gives me in the form of ginger coleslaw, day-old beignets (still delicious), the occasional very solid joke and the frequent half jokes, cobbled together one-liners, re-enactments, references. Yesterday she brought home gelatin and whole milk for me to make matcha pudding, not questioning the general kindergarten-era snack it was. This morning she complimented it, even though it was a bit on the dry and bitter side. She knows me.
And sometimes she knows herself, though those moments are rarer.
The day before yesterday we went out on the Sound with her dad and two friends. Left the Marina for warmer water on the other side of Fox Island, a boat ride that took us past grey pebbly Owens Beach, past the point of Point Defiance, past a series a neighborhood built on stilts, standing in the water along Point Defiance's western flank, past the train tracks that the Amtrak follows to Portland. We saw half a dozen seals, the roundness of their heads distinguishing them from logs, herons gliding along shore, and jumping fish, betrayed by splashes as they fell back into the water. S saw a couple of porpoises breaching, though I missed them. We shot underneath the Narrows bridge, granting me a view I never thought I'd see: the grid and cellwork of iron trusses and the remarkably thin highway that they supported. A second later and it was behind us though, and we drove into our afternoon.
Sam took a shot at wakeboarding, and after a couple of runs we stopped the boat. We all went for a swim, even Sam's dog Lucky (though we hoisted him back onto the boat after he finished a single small lap); I (sort of) learned how to dive. Then we sunned off and snacked: chips and salsa, English cucumbers, hummus, laughing cow cheese, salami and crackers, plums and pretzels. Lucky snagged a hunk of pretzel while we weren't paying attention, and after a minute of fighting his lockjaw, we let him have his hard-won prize. After lunch the rest of us gave wakeboarding a try, though no one could get up for more than 5 seconds. The hours slipped by, and the day had slid into dusk when S got into the water for a couple runs on her ski.
"Doesn't she need two?" Sam's friend asked, watching Sam wriggle in the water with her singular ski.
"You can get up on one," Sam's dad said.
"Though it's a lot harder," I finished, feeling that weird secondhand pride.
Sam made it look easy though. Her dad gunned the boat engine and we shot off with a roar. The rope connecting Sam to the boat jerked tight, and in a moment that feels like forever and never fails to amaze me, Sam held on, emerging from the water, like the masthead to a submerged Flying Dutchman breaking the surface, the water pushing rather than sliding off her form.
And then she was off, and when Sam skis, she skis. She cuts across the water with the precision and grace of a calligraphy stroke. The water was calm, almost glassy now, and she worked the surface like her canvas. Behind her was the burst of her wake, a fiery white trail of water droplets that almost cartoonishly emphasized her speed. And good God she was fast. As the boat turned pack towards Point Defiance, she swung outside of its wake, hurtling along next to us, and the only sign of her strain was the quarter-crouch she'd settled into, legs bent but strong like the boughs of a tree. And the whole while her face was broken up into a smile, a cry of exhilaratoin and jubilation. The last time I'd gone out with her, it had been midday, and every time she turned little rainbows shone in her wake. This time the sun is setting over the Fox Island Hills and the water is a mosaic of deep blue, orange, and red. The wake has taken an almost golden hue. There's nothing like it. There's no one like her.

Living with Losing You - 9/4/2022
Sunday Funday.
The long weekend continues!
Today I was up early again to meet up with Heather to walk the pups again. You know I am tired when I have to wake up to an alarm to start my day. I am typically a morning person and am naturally up at 6:00am-6:30am. I did not mention this, but yesterday I brought my family donuts and pastries, but this morning I had to meet up with them earlier.
By the time I got there, we got situated, then walked the dogs, it was already about 8:15am. My plans for the day besides walking the dogs was to go to church, quickly run to that delicious GF bakery, go see Nay, and then potentially hang out with Chad/friends in the evening.
As I mentioned, I am new to Grace Church, and I have not been to the early morning service. I think I may have initially checked the wrong Grace Church page, because I really thought that it started at 9:15am/11:15am. It is in actuality 9:00am/11:00am, so needless to say I got to church very late and decided that it would be rude and uncomfortable to enter 30 mins after service had started (versus the 15 mins that I thought it was).
I decided to run to that GF bakery instead. I ended up ordering 3 rosemary flatbreads, 3 pretzel rolls, a cinnamon roll, and a fruit tart. That place is dangerous, they have so many delicious looking options. I ended up heading home and enjoying a pretzel roll and a flatbread while watching She-Hulk. That series has been great so far.
I finally left my apartment at around 11:00am to meet up with Nay (Filipino Grandmother) and some of my other family for lunch. It was really wonderful to see her, auntie Myrna, my cousin, aunt, etc. They were all asking how I was doing, and of course mentioned you. They all thought you were such a beautiful and wonderful person, and are so saddened by your loss. It feels like yesterday that I took you to that house to meet Nay for the first time. You were so sweet with her, and answered all of her questions. She had a lot of them.
After I ate and hung out for a little while, I made my way home and took a nap (this is my life now, napping. You’d be so proud). After I woke up from the nap, I spent some time playing the guitar and singing some songs. I feel like I am having a little bit of a writers block, maybe it’s because my grief is like s scribble, and I am not even entirely sure where I am at half the time. Once I played enough guitar (and sweated enough too) I realized I had not had an actual meal, and so I ordered a salad and walked to grab said salad.
Then, it was time to get ready to go out with Chad, Marissa, and Bri. I went with a LEWK. James, you would have loved this outfit. You had seen me in a variation of it before. Sometimes I look in the mirror when I am getting ready and I do often question myself. I hate to admit this, but I ask why I wasn’t enough. And why I never quite feel like I am. I know that you wouldn’t want me to have those thoughts, but they’re called intrusive for a reason. “How could you leave me, leave this, leave us?” Pain. That’s how. So much pain. My heart breaks over that pain.
Marissa and I met up with chad at his place and we walked to the bar (Bri had prior plans so she was going to Uber and meet us there). Well, we ended up walking over a mile to get to the bar. Normally this would have been fine, but because of my hand, foot, and mouth, my feet are RAW.  And, I was wearing my heeled red boots. So, put two and two together, it was not the most enjoyable experience. We finally got there and we went up to the rooftop, Chad got a drink, Marissa and I got waters, and we talked and caught up with eachother. I just have to note that I think it’s sad that the bartender asked me multiple times if i wanted a drink, and I had to say no MULTIPLE times. There is no reason why “no means no” shouldn’t apply here. And on top of that, alcohol does not equate to fun. I can have fun and be sober. I hate society and it’s view on alcohol. We have normalized it in such an unhealthy way, that you’re ostracized if you don’t drink, and then also ostracized if you drink too much. Where is the sense in that?
Anyway, thank you for coming to my #TedTalk, but seriously, if I want a drink, I will just order one. Thanks.
Besides that, the night at the bar was fun. I realized that I also forgot to mention that when Chad met Marissa and I downstairs he was not even ready yet (LOL). So, we had to go back up to his apartment. Well, chad’s old roommate does photography, and left the backdrop up. So, Marissa and I seized the opportunity to use this for soem pictures (I will add them on here). This was also a highlight of the night. So many laughs.
Back to the OG story line (sorry not sorry for my undiagnosed ADHD), I drove Marissa and Bri to In n Out to get a quick and yummy bite then headed to my apartment. We ate and talked a little longer at the apartment, but honestly I got so tired once I started to settle in. Only thing was that it is taking me a little longer to fall asleep because of the heat, etc. It’s 2am and I have practice at 8am. I know, I need to go to bed.
It’s SO HOT in this room. we will see if I can even get some rest. Another Busy day tomorrow!
I miss you.  Sadie misses you.  Latte really misses you.  Our little family misses you. Rest in Peace, James Burton Nichols.

06•11•22
We celebrated B's birthday a couple days early this year, since the actual day fell on a Monday. (Turns out it was a good choice... I'll explain later.)
We had the whole day planned. I started by decorating his room the day before, which is my favorite thing to do. Then on Saturday, we kicked the day off with presents! I gave him a pickleball paddle, an apron with a quote from Ron Swanson on Parks and Rec, tickets to two USU football games, and a new Pokemon game for the Switch. Then we had a birthday brunch at The Cheesecake Factory! Complete with our favorite bread, delicious breakfast food, and birthday cheesecake - even at noon haha.
Then we went down to a chocolate making workshop in Lehi. I didn't know what to expect, but they really just turn you loose and let you make your own chocolates. We got to stuff them with all our favorite toppings (for me, mostly Oreo or mint truffle filling), and use white, milk, or dark chocolate. They let you fill pre-made shells (like hearts or large cups), cover things in chocolate (pretzels, oreos, caramels, marshmallows, SO MANY choices), and make chocolate molds of cute things (I did flowers, B did lego men and dogs). Anyway, it was fun. It's something I think I'd like to take my grandma to do sometime too, because it was easy, and she loves chocolates!
Then we had to drive the chocolates home, so they didn't melt in the car, and we took about an hour and a half to have a little break. B played the new game I got him, and we just relaxed.
Then we headed out for the AJR concert (which we actually bought tickets for last year, thinking it was LAST June... oops). We got Chick-fil-A on our way (of course) and then had a REALLY rough time getting into the concert. We got there about 30 minutes before the openers went on, but I've never seen a line that long at Usana. It was wrapped all the way around the parking lot. We waited for nearly two hours, missed the entire opener, and thought we might not get in at all. Luckily, they ended up opening another gate, and we were able to get in and get seated about five minutes before AJR came out. We're so glad we had seats, because we would have been totally screwed trying to find a spot on the lawn.
After all that, though, AJR was SO fun. They did a lot of cool visual effects, had tons of energy, and were wildly entertaining to watch.
I'm so glad we powered through the wait.
Overall, it was a fun day.
B's ACTUAL birthday was consumed by mediating fights between lenders, house stress, and more... not only was he supposed to work (rude), he couldn't even get any work done because of all this crap. It was the most depressing birthday ever. I brought him more Chick-fil-A after I got off, but there was really no saving it. Thank goodness for Saturday. :(
Happy 27th, B. Here's hoping next year is a whole lot better.
