Not once have I ever seen you disprove any meaningful claim someone has brought up against you 💀💀💀
Y’all you must be high or something. I like how every time I defend Israeli citizens (because they are not their f-ing government- they are also victims of this war. Not just Palestinians. They are also victims too, just not the only ones) or call out any antisemitism that I see via anonymous ask ( I get a lot- some I even delete) I get hate messages.
It’s kinda funny that anons love to troll through jewish blogs and send them hate. Especially ones that defend Israel/ or both Israel and Palestine/ or just antisemitism. Funny I was gonna make a post about this since it’s something that I’ve noticed while scrolling through tumblr. If someone defends Israel (or even just the citizens-cuz remember folks they aren’t their government), of defends both Palestine and Israel- pro Palestine people, some anti Zionist people and full raging nazies (aka the fools cuz that’s what y’all are. Fools.) really loves to send hateful comments and messages to those blogs.
It’s really messed up when these fools also comments and messages blogs who’s post have nothing to do with I/P conflict. A Jew could just be sharing something good that is happening in their life or something and they automatically get attacked by fools. And don’t get me started on the pro Palestine protests. Y’all think it’s really ok to swarm around synagogues, hospitals, campus buildings and spew hate to those who literally have nothing to do with the i/p conflict. Congratulations fools you have now reached a level of stupidity that i have never seen before- and I’ve seen a lot of stupidity before.
Y’all must be bored or have so much time on your hands. So let me explain this to you all (again) on your level so that you and others hopefully understand. Hope y’all have your listening ears on and ready. And remember boys/girls/and non binary folks think before you speak. If you have any questions or comments-write them down and make sure that it isn’t something stupid. And yes I’m treating all of y’all fools like little kids (only little kids are more behaved then y’all, which is sad and funny). Let’s begin!
-Israel is not an apartheid state (Israel and Palestine have their own forms of government and own set of rules. Palestine has been under hamas control since the early 2000s. Hamas is the reason why Palestine citizens are living and dealing with shity situations. Also during this war, Israel has been giving Palestine citizens a heads up/warning on when they go on the attack and that they need to either evacuate the area or get to a safe area. One of the many reasons why so many have sadly lost their lives is because Hamas. Hamas have been telling their citizens to ignore the warnings, or directs them to “safety areas” that are under attack. Hamas doesn’t care about Palestine or their citizens. Nor do they care for Israel or Jews. I’ll touch on this more in a bit.) nor are they colonizers (you can’t be a colonizer if you have ties/connections/history to the land. Which they did before getting forcibly kicked out.) Remember the British had control of that region after the Ottoman Empire. There was no Palestine official state. That whole area was considered a British mandated state until the state of Israel and Palestine was formed. Also take note that any formation of a state or country is gonna be really messy and controversial. It’s part of history.
-did you know that Israel is the only jewish nation. Out of all the bloody countries- only one is a Jewish nation. A lot of Jews left their home countries for Israel because they were not wanted by their home country. It was either stay and be killed or leave to start a new life in a country that will open their arms for their jewish siblings. Europe kicked out a lot of their jewish citizens. A lot of Middle Eastern countries did the same too. A lot of lives were lost during this horrible time period. Those who didn’t go to Israel went to the United States hoping that they would be accepted with open arms. That did not happen. A lot of jewish families had to hide their identity and change their last names (because getting a job/home/etc was very difficult if you didn’t have an American sounding name). My great grandparents left Germany a little before ww1 due to the rise of antisemitism. When they got to the states they had to hide the fact that they were Jewish for their own safety. It’s been kept hush ever since. Which is really messed up. No one should have to hide their Jewishness but yet here we are…
- like I’ve mentioned before Hamas doesn’t care about its own people. If they did care about Palestine then they wouldn’t be withholding food/water/other essentials that was delivered for the people during the war. Nor would they be using their people as human shields. It’s really messed up. If y’all really cared about Palestine and their citizens why aren’t you guys disgusted by what Hamas is doing to its own people??? Hamas are willing sending their citizens to places where they know will get targeted and killed but yet you all are blaming Israel who has been sending warnings to Palestine citizens. Hamas is a terrorist organization. Not a freedom fighter group. They care for no one but themselves. Like any extremist group- they want control and power over the people. They don’t care if lives are lost.
I (and others) are allowed to defend Israeli citizens. They have done nothing to deserve what’s been happening to them. It’s really f-ed up if you think that they deserve to be kidnapped, r****, tortured and killed. Hamas is still holding 100s of hostages and are torturing them like it’s a sick game. Why do y’all think Israel is still fighting Hamas? They are trying to bring home the hostages and to bring down Hamas. Are people not allowed to care about the hostages? Are they not allowed to mourn the loss of their loved ones that were killed on and after 10/7? Are we not allowed to raise awareness about people spreading misinformation and Hamas propaganda? Or talk about the rise of antisemitism? Like what the hell!? We get called heartless or monsters if we care for Israel too. Let me make this clear- I mourn the lives that were lost on both sides ( except for Hamas. Those bastards can burn for all I care.)
y’all think we all should only mourn and care for Palestine. But guess what? I care for both! But I’m a heartless bitch for showing more care for Israeli citizens and wanting to provide a safe place and lend an ear to those who lost loved ones during this horrible situation. I’m a monster for calling out antisemitism and calling out people who are spreading misinformation and Hamas propaganda. Well guess what? I don’t care. You can call me what you want but I know what I am. I have a heart and I care for those where we’re killed during this war (and other wars too) May all of their memories be a blessing (except for Hamas). I also care enough to tell people to stop spreading misinformation and Hamas propaganda because it’s causing more harm than good. But g-d forbid if I do that. Y’all fools start throwing a hissy fit.
If y’all don’t like what I said- so be it. I don’t care anymore. I’m not your “good Jew”. I will continue to call out this shit and provide a safe space for those who needs it. That doesn’t make me a heartless bitch or monster. If you think otherwise then you should check yourself.
Am Yisrael Chai! ✡️

“Part of what has made the experience of this event feel so different from the status quo—and so different to Palestinians and Jews—comes from the fact that Palestinians were undeniably the actors, for once, not the acted upon. The protagonists of the story. I consider it an enormous failure of our movements that we have not been able to build a vehicle for that kind of reversal in any other way thus far. Our Jewish movements for Palestine were not powerful enough to stop other Jews from gunning down Palestinians in peaceful marches at the Gazan border fence, or to keep Palestinians from being fired, harassed, and sued for speaking the truth about their experience or—God forbid—advocating the nonviolent tactic of boycott.”

As a volunteer, do you have anything to say about what the OTW did to bjorn?
To begin with, I’m going to speak in generalities instead of specifics. This is for a couple of reasons. 1) I’ve been on hiatus from the OTW since August because my life got extremely complicated and volunteering wasn’t something I could continue doing right now. 2) As a result of my hiatus, I was not present for any of the events that transpired. This is simply my own opinion based on the available information, so you can feel free to disagree.
Now, as to your phrasing. You say “what the OTW did to bjorn” and I ask, “What did the OTW do to them?” From the meager information I’ve seen, all of which has been provided by bjorn themselves, they left the OTW of their own accord because they were unhappy with being talked to about their behaviour. This behaviour occurred in the OTW’s chat space which, for those of you who don’t know, is the OTW’s workspace. As a fully online organization, that platform is the equivalent of their office.
bjorn was in that shared workspace, and they set their name to include the phrase “Palestine will be free.” Later, they changed it to “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.” They were told that the first phrase made some people uncomfortable but that they were allowed to continue using it. They were told the second was unacceptable and that they should stop using it. bjorn chose to continue using the second phrasing.
Why is the second phrase seen as unacceptable? A quick google took me to the Anti Defamation League’s explanation of its antisemitism. That same google also provided me with Al Jazeera’s explanation of its complicated history. As a person who is neither Israeli nor Palestinian and as someone who hasn’t spent years studying the history of the region or the complexities of the conflict there, I’m comfortable with the idea that it’s a nuanced issue that different people will see in different ways, and I have personally decided that I should probably avoid using an expression whose interpretation varies so wildly.
Here, I will digress to remind everyone that the OTW is an international volunteer organization. That means there are volunteers there from all over the world - including Israel and Palestine. As far as I’m aware, bjorn is not from that region of the world.
So we have someone using a controversial phrase in a workplace setting where there are people who are immediately affected by the current conflict. My assumption is that they were not doing this to be intentionally aggressive. While I do recognize their name, there are nearly 1000 volunteers at the OTW so I’m afraid I don’t remember this one individual. I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt here, however, and assume that they were not calling for the eradication of all Jews.
I can also, however, understand why anyone who has seen this same phrase used as a justification for terrorist attacks would have difficulty doing the same.
From what I saw in the original post, bjorn was given a warning about their behaviour and then a more formal letter when it continued. CCAP (Constructive Corrective Action Procedure) has a pretty dystopian sound to it, but it’s basically just a conversation between a manager (Chair) and an employee (volunteer) when the employee has kinda messed up a little bit and the manager wants to get them back on track. If the CCAP goes well, then the volunteer is back in good standing and the situation can be put behind them. It’s only if the volunteer and their Chair are unable to get things back on track that the volunteer will be asked to leave the Org. As far as I know, that’s only happened a handful of times (but I’m no expert, and I’m still on hiatus so I can’t go and try to look things up)
bjorn apparently chose option #3, which is to leave the OTW rather than go through that process. That’s a perfectly fine decision to make, and I’m sure they’re not the first volunteer to do so. It was their choice, though. The OTW didn’t kick them out. The OTW didn’t force them out. The OTW told them “this is inappropriate behaviour in an international workplace setting,” and bjorn decided to leave rather than change that behaviour.
I have nothing against bjorn, and I hope their post-OTW life is a good one. However, I've seen posts that have been using bjorn's situation as a way to claim the OTW is a “Zionist organization.” I would like to remind everyone that the OTW is an organization dedicated to the preservation of fanworks. What role do people expect the OTW to take in an international negotiation between Israel and Palestine? How many international policy volunteers do people think they have, and which committee do people think they belong to? Technical Support? Communications?
I’m trending towards sarcasm here but it’s only because I can’t quite believe that there really are people who seem to believe that the OTW - again a fanwork preservation organization - is attempting to do anything at all with regards to an international conflict.
If anyone out there hates the OTW, I encourage them to avoid OTW’s various projects and to decline the biannual opportunities to donate, but please don't generate or share conspiracy theories. There are more than enough of them going around already.

rules of engagement with this post: antisemitism, islamophobia, or racism will get you blocked. point blank, period. bad faith arguing will also get you blocked. harassment, gentile bullshit, white saviorism, historical revisionism, etc. all get the block. i’m posting this bc i have emotions not bc i want to spend 5 hours explaining to a complete stranger why people not dying is good actually.
honestly terrifying how westerners who consider themselves progressive view violence not as a last resort but like as a sort of righteous duty, and peace as some sort of boring consolation prize. i, along with many of my jewish and palestinian friends, woke up this morning to news that some of our friends and family might be dead or might die in the coming days and weeks. y’all woke up and saw this as an opportunity to harass jews and palestinians online. i see some of y’all posting about what’s happening as if you’ve dedicated your entire life to this single cause when a search of your blog shows me you haven’t posted shit about israel or palestine since fucking 2021.
there is nothing to celebrate about an extremist faction targeting civilians of a nation trapped under a corrupt government. there is nothing to celebrate about more needless violence, death, and oppression. the pain and suffering of our loved ones does not exist for you to collect activism points, and i’m really fucking tired of watching non palestinian gentiles scoff at the thought of peace because god fucking forbid our people stop dying so you have one less excuse to be racist or antisemitic.

Kinda crazy how any post I make about my experience of antisemitism — whether or not it mentions Israel — immediately becomes inundated with comments about Palestinian pain and suffering. Do you really not see how inappropriate that is, people?
When Black People post about their experience of racism, it’s not OK to come in to that space and talk about, idk, war in Sudan.
When Asian People talk about their experience of racism, it’s not appropriate to come into that space and start talking about China’s treatment of Uyghur people or North Korean aggression.
When Muslim people talk about their experience of Islamophobia, it’s not OK to come into that space and start talking about all the horrible things Isis or Al Qaeda have done.
When a trans person starts talking about their experience of transphobia, it’s not OK to come into that space and start talking about the latest horrible thing Caitlyn Jenner said.
Why are you able to understand this when it comes to every other group, but posts about Jewish pain are always filled with arguments about Palestine that blatantly imply that actually—my group, Jews—actually deserve the hatred we receive?
Spoiler alert: It’s because you’re antisemitic and will double down on your beliefs 100000 times to prove to yourself that you’re not, because actually confronting that you have hateful beliefs is too scary for you.
I’m sorry if it messes with your sense of self righteous inherent goodness, but you have and perpetuate systemic antisemitism just like you have all other forms of systemic bigotry. And if you don’t address it, that makes you a bigot on purpose. Deal with your hatred and stop being horrible to Jews.
