I still think it really sucks that we missed out on some of the dlc for fates. There were so many conversations they left untranslated, and we missed out on seeing other things like faceless with pumpkins on their heads, unique anna sprites (shown below, although in low quality lmao)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And not to mention how they got a cipher tie-in with enherjar of Marth, Lucina, and Minerva (which we obviously didn't get at all. Rip cipher)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Btw: Korisnik on YouTube has translated/is translating some festival of bonds convos (both nohrian and hoshidian)!
They also have a blog @/fe14festivalofbondstranslations
and there's a gamebanana page with the translations too, though it's also still a wip :)

The paywall girlies are just pathetic and greedy atp, like y’all so desperate for money you put a barely edited hair that was free behind a paywall?? Just greedy and unserious, like they’re lucky EA isn’t THAT strict about the paywall thing, which is surprising to me, cus I’d make that shit 3 days, plus nobody’s THAT desperate for some digital content like pls get a job
There are times when I can’t help but wonder how much some of these creators actually pull in, what their actual motivations are, and how much of it is our ( the simming community’s ) doing for enabling this trend to begin with, esp since there are plenty of other modding communities that don’t do things like we do, despite offering DLC sized mods. They also wouldn’t be doing this if there wasn’t some kind of a demand for it, and EA wasn’t complicit in creating that demand by choosing to drip feed official content, rarely listen to what players actually want, and then somehow still fall short of delivering it without glaringly obvious flaws that require more mods and fixes. Though I also like to to think it’s a broader problem as well, with how gaming has changed, with how dlc culture has worsened, and how a whole generation was raised on predatory mobile and mobile-esque games, then there’s income inequality hitting everyone hard, in almost every country, one income just doesn’t do it anymore, so is it any surprise that grind culture and scam behavior has just become normalized? Games were once our escape from a lot of this mess, but I’m sad to say it’s no longer out of its reach.
I won’t excuse all these things, esp scamming, bc when it gets bad, it gets bad, and honestly that sucks, bc it’s gotten to the point where it’s just struggling ppl screwing over other struggling ppl, while ppl like the guy who runs EA probably plans to give himself another multi-million dollar holiday bonus, so he can buy another $4,000 sweater to wear to a meeting where he announces another round of lay offs that hurts the development of yet another The Sims 4 DLC, that someone will use to release another set of minimally edited Maxis cc behind a 3 week paywall.

The time has come
The blorbo posts are moving out of tellius, who knows how long it will be until they break even the fe containment
CRAB BLORBO NR. WHATEVER I FORGOT!
ANNA!!!!!
Tumblr media
Back to the basics, list time!!!
She is in literally every game except fe2 and it's remake fe15
I adore her little finger chin touch that she does in every game
Every iteration of her is actually a different person and they're all a big family of sisters
^this also has the implication that Anna has interdimensional travel powers (and also time travel)(this is also hinted at in engages epilogue)
I believe there's two eras of Anna, pre and post-awakening. With pre-awakening being more down to earth and existing a lot more as the menu and secret shop person, with post-awakening being more high energy, and I don't want to say one-note, but more, let's say focused on a specific gimmick, which in Annas case is being a cuttthroat buisnesswoman, and this often comes along as borderline psychopathic (/pos imo), but I don't think this was the intention. I love both versions
Post-awakening she's actually a playable character in almost all the games, including Awakening (Very fun to use, trickster class which is staves and Swords, she does especially well with Levin sword and that's always fun), Fates (haven't used her, dlc), Three Houses (kinda sucks and has no supports, also dlc and one of the other dlc characters is just better in everyway gameplay wise) and Engage (also very fun to use, uses axes at base and bows on promotion which is very nice, she also has great magic and can be very good as a mage)
Sells you drugs
So Anna huh, the most reocurring fe character by far, and I love reocurring characters. She's a shrewd buisnesswoman and always have been, but she's a pretty chill gal pre-awakening and just hangs around and gives you tips. And sells you drugs, don't forget about that. Then in awakening she returns once again, but now with a more, high-energy personality. The reason I called her borderline psychopathic is that she here begins to make a lot of quips and jokes about killing people in ways that are some kind of money puns in a very lighthearted tone, "prices aren't the only things i slash" for exampel. I personally find this kind of endearing (this holds up with my other blorbo Henry also from awakening). Then in engage she shows up as a child who has been lost from her family (her anna sisters) Here in engage she has a wonderful childlike feel when doing all her merchant things, while still having that dash of psychosis. And I find this very endearing as well.
She also has a boyfriend who is also reocurring, just not as much has her. Meet Jake! His personality and looks vary a bit.
Tumblr media
Then there was the final dlc to awakening, bringing one final challenge to all who played the game. Apotheosis, featuring the final final boss...
Anna the merchant
Tumblr media
This is an insane boss, probably the single strongest boss in all of fire emblem, with insane stats like 99 hp, 60 str, 50 mag, 70 skl, 70 spd, 65 lck, 55 def and 55 res. So insanely much.
But that's not even the worst part, her skills are. Counter dealing all physical damage back, Vantage+ to always attack first, Aether which is usually only a main character skill, dragonskin (????????) which halfs all damage dealt and RIGHTFUL GOD
RIGHTFUL GOD????????
rightful god gives 30% extra proc chance to all proc skills
BUT EVEN THE FACT THAT SHE HAS A SKILL CALLED RIGHTFUL GOD IS SCARY ENOUGH AND HAS SOME WEIRD IMPLICATIONS
yeah, insane boss
But overall yeah I just like her, great vibe tbh.
I think me liking her might also have something to do with that she reminds me a lot of an oc I made a loooong time ago with pie who has a special place in my heart.
Anyway finishing picture of all of anna
Tumblr media
I find it extremely hilarious that Anna just. has time travel powers. The single constant of the fire emblem universe is the presence of silly capitalism gal
ALSO SHE’S A SUPERBOSS?????????? RIGHTFUL GOD?????????? WH?????????? WHY DOES THE FUNNY SECRET SHOP LADY HARBOR THE POWER OF THE HEAVENS

Yknow I really want to think that folks at Hypergryph want to make Good Viddygame in addition to making mad cash off of it but as time goes on its kinda getting harder and harder.
My dude, every damn game developer wants to make a good video game. With all the unnecessary bullshit in the industry you don't really work here unless you really, truly love it and are willing to take much lower pay and horrendous work hours vs jobs with similar skillset needs. No artist dreams of making bad art.
However, as long as the endgoal is increasing company profits, making a good video game free of bullshit also becomes increasingly difficult.
If you're an older gamer who has seen how the industry's changed over the years, you would know that capitalism has ruined so much of what video games once were. Unfinished games releasing with a whole roadmap of DLC planned out and armies of developers crunched to their deaths to keep up with a ridiculous annual release schedule so the flow of money never stops, all of this was unthinkable years ago, and yet was inevitable given the path the industry set out on.
As video games went from niche nerd hobby to a real industry, all the moneymen spotted a goldmine and set up shop. It's not enough that a company turns a profit, it has to turn a profit larger than last year's to show that it's still growing. That's why nobody ever sells a complete, medium budget, single-player package fully polished from start to finish anymore (barring the odd surprise like Hi-Fi Rush), because that only makes money once, while a live service game with paid battlepasses and DLC will keep the money rolling in for years.
Back to Arknights, you can see for yourself just how much this pressure to keep growing profits has affected the game. There used to be no limited units at all, a breath of fresh air in the mobage space, until Nian came to much pushback. HG tried to compromise, made this whole system of a free roll every day and a free ten roll ticket to make the idea of limiteds suck less, but they already broke the dam. Limited units went from once every 6 months to once every 3. Then in the next year they introduced Operator Alters, because every gacha game knows you can sell harder by making a different version of an already popular unit rather than convince people to like a new one. Even the very nature of Alters made an attempt to go from "An alternate take on your favorite characters" to the extremely familiar "Its this character but in a bikini" type of cashgrab. Skin prices also went from 18 prime to 21 once Live2D skins entered the picture, and the originium prime store introduced a one time refresh of the first time purchase bonus, just to try to convince people who have never bought prime before to take advantage of the first bonus.
This is the sad reality all online games must face one way or the other. A company can't just be sustainable, it has to keep growing, and that means constantly looking for the cheapest way to squeeze out more money.
It's only going to get worse for many games unless major changes are made, the industry goes through another disastrous crash, or both.

You might have already mentioned this and if so, I'm sorry to ask you to repeat yourself. But how do you feel about Larian's announcement that they will never do another D&D related game, including any additional Baldur's Gate things? On the one hand, I really respect that and I'll be happy to experience brand new rpgs from them. I am already hyped for the new rpg they're teasing! But on the other hand, it does make me sad because they brought so much life to the BG universe and I just have a terrible feeling someone else will snatch up the IP and ruin the series by trying to milk Larian's success.
Again, I'm sorry to randomly slide into your dms, just was curious to hear your opinion on it.
Hello hello, no worries - I have not actually spoken about this here nor on twitter. But, I have discussed this with friends!
Considering Larian teased in the past the possibility of BG3 getting DLCs and knowing the fact that DOS2 got two of them, I was pretty confident they'd make at least one for BG3. Swen confirming that they won't make any did surprise me, but I'm not mad about it! Nor am I disappointed that they won't make another D&D related game. If anything, it kinda sucks that WotC is probs gonna milk the hell out of BG3 like you said and who knows, maybe they're even considering making another Baldur's Gate game… but ultimately I'm super excited about Larian Studios' next project. It's just ironic because Larian was denied by WotC the rights to Baldur's Gate after DOS, then they approached them again when they were working on DOS2 and Larian had to provide the necessary documents to showcase, for an opportunity to purchase the license for BG3 while nearing bankruptcy at the time (hence the investment from Tencent iirc).
Anyway, WotC sucks for so many reasons and I know Swen keeps saying that they are not the reason why they didn't renew their license or decide to make another D&D related game, and while I'm sure that's partly true, the mass layoffs from WotC disappointed lots of Larian people (nearly everyone at WotC who worked alongside Larian for BG3 left) and I mean... I would understand not wanting to work alongside that company tbh.
With that being said, I feel like now that they got their name out there, they can focus on more personal projects and ideas and still have a solid chance at making a successful game. I'm excited for whatever they're gonna cook up next, that company's full of passionate people who don't seem money driven so I'm really hopeful. I think ultimately, it's all for the best!

respectfully, it might be more helpful to list what is true and what is false in regards to dragons dogma 2. half the people i'm following are just flat out confused and the other half are getting mad at the confused people but still aren't clarifying what is misinformation and what isn't. google isn't being helpful either.
i’ve talked a bit about it like i literally not long ago mentioned the art of meta whatever the fuck being cheap in game yet that long review getting shared around says you can only get it if you buy the dlc version .
everything being sold on the steam store is available in game at varying prices some are more grindy than others and while i don’t like these dlcs at all it’s annoying as hell that the most popular steam reviews didn’t even make it to the main city to see the truth of it which only takes like an hour if ur not diddly dallying
i hate it too. i’ve hated it for a long time as capcom have been doing this for about a decade? with all their games. even resident evil remakes sell in game things as dlc (like ng+ unlockables, unlimited ammo, etc) and dragon dogma 2s isn’t even that bad when you compare it to games like monster hunter world where the literal only way to get character edit tokens IS with real money 😭
i bitched about this more this morning even i screenshot reviews and talked about it and i was like if this is true this sucks. then i played the game and learnt it’s not true

How did Wendy get her courier job? 👀 If its not a spoiler for your story (if it is give me any headcanons/lore you want to instead)
The Nashes adopted her! Well, kinda.
By the time she met them Wendy was 5 years out of the Legion, so she wasn't really helpless. She was a pretty good hunter and a decent fisherman (still is) and survived mostly by hiding and hunting. With NCR influence spreading across the Mojave it became really really hard for a person to live independently without being claimed a raider and a squatter and getting shot (even if youre just a random homeless teenage girl), so she kinda moved into more close spaced area aka. started to just steal shit from people and live in their attics. That's how she met Nashes :)
They let her Wendy and employed her! She really liked her job & Johnson and Ruby. I like to think she reminded them of their son 😭.
Also she didn't deliver the package to the Divide in my canon. Wendy did walk the Lonesome Road™ but Ulysses called for her for different reason. I'm thinking about 'the sins of a father' type deal, but it can't be ALL about Aletus being a fucking dick. Or can! I'm still thinking about it, but one thing i know for sure: she knew Ulysses before the Divide and he did too.
Thats the only DLC that my Courier was a part of. With all respect, Old World Blues sucked ass (i hate the PENIS VAGINA CUM jokes that both OWB and Fallout 2 are build upon. It's just not funny and it's hard to focus on what little serious lore the campaign has with these annoying ass robots screaming about penises all the time 😭 Im sorry OWB fans I really tried to like this DLC) and I refuse to believe Honest Hearts are real. Dead Money is much fun but it would be really uncharacteristic for Wendy to try and believe the Sierra Madre stuff. She's a very simple person and she doesn't care about money :)
Also yeah Wendy totally kept in contact with Nashes post-canon and even frequently left little Sharky with them! He totally thought they were his real grandparents until he was 15.
Tumblr media
A small small detail I just can't resist telling about!!! In his courier au, Aletus found this self-porktrait of wendy in Nashes' house. After he killed them. Because that how justice looks in the eyes of an unjust man.

So TotK seems to be clicking where BotW wasn't. Any insight on what the key differences are that work for you?
note: i played botw up until the calamity ganon fight and then went "yeah ok ive played a zelda game before", put it down and never went back. didnt play the dlc
i dont think anyone would be surprised to know that im a "majoras mask was the best zelda" guy but the reason has little to do with the "darker tone" or the lore but because reusing assets allowed the dev team to greatly (GREATLY in this case holy shit) expand on the actual contents of the game itself. i love gold/silver best for the same reason.
botw is like running around an empty movie set. theres nothing in that fucking game. at the time, due to the proliferation of crafting mechanics infesting literally every AAA game, it felt like nintendo was more focused about hitting all the checks on a checklist of tired mechanics that were included just for the sake of saying they had it. crafting! weapon durability! open world! pbbbbt.
none of these things proved to be enjoyable to me. keeping in mind that ive been playing zeldas since the snes (skipping only a handful of handheld games), the changes felt like steps away from what makes zelda games unique. crafting felt like an arbitrary step between me and potions. i wanted to swing my master sword with power, not experiment with clumsy weapons that stop existing after i finally get a feel for them. and the open world, frankly sucked.
mm rewarded me for my curiosity. experimentation and exploration would lead to interesting or gratifying results (did you know theres a paper airplane in ikana canyon...). botw is like playing in the window xp background. theres barely any landmarks, except shrines, or anything to do outside of getting the yiga clan's ass. theyre easy to pick out because theyre literally the only people on the road. the world is put to waste; i cant play with it, i can just observe and be extremely artificially hindered by its vastness.
this doesnt really fit anywhere else in the above open world rant, but trading the shrines for small and sparce dungeons was a huge let down. i was hoping for a series of cohesive puzzles intended to help my mastery of my newest weapon or ability. you know. like a zelda game
totk fixed this and every other problem in the best way possible; the devs dumped a ton of toys into my playpen, gave me a hot glue gun, and told me to go buck wild. i love to build a horrible contraption to solve my stupid problems or kill me instantly. i love that experimenting with weapons involves actual experimentation if you desire or you can have an inventory exclusively full of spear type weapons with vastly different properties by gluing a bunch of rocks or monster parts to it. but most importantly....the "stock up->head out->explore->return" loop no longer feels like i have to go to the dmv over and over.
sure, the depths are artificially large in the way that the map in botw was; theres not a lot to do except reveal the map and do plot stuff. but the overworld was given a complete overhaul using the empty map as a starting point. theres actually stuff to look at, ruins to explore, caves to investigate, holes to jump into, and all that shit in the sky to explore. the sky map might be sparse but its meticulously crafted so that just the process of explorating the archipelagos feels like a puzzle you need to solve, as opposed to a hurdle you have to jump.
there is so much more to do in totk that im pretty sure im over 20 hours in and havent done any of the regional main quests. ive been running around picking up side quests, uncovering the map, exploring the depths, fucking around in the sky, and dying my clothes. but its not annoying or overwhelming. it feels more alive and less like a weird map in an abandoned gmod server. im having fun.
for crit: imo, one of the biggest criticisms i have for both these games is that the voice acting is horrendous. nintendo has too much money to be tapping people who sound like they just got out of the shenmue soundbooth. zelda was not improved by voice acting and they should probably go back to everyone just having short exclamations like "HEH HEEH!" or "hmmm...".
also link doesnt roll anymore and its really fucking me up. im really struggling here lol. i keep trying to do dark souls shit and every fight involves me accidentally zooming in with the sheikah slate instead of locking on, hitting l1 istead of shield, and whistling for my horse instead of drinking estus.
also nerf rain

What a Splatfest, huh?
While riling up Team Love with a Money victory was fun and all, I think I won't play this mode anymore, unless they either fix it or somehow add a collab theme that I really like. In fact, I might stay away outside of future DLC campaign and the casual Salmon Run.
The fact that you gotta remind people over an over again, that at the end of the day, this is just a game, this is not about 'simping' for a character, this is not about rigging results, this is not about hatred for other groups (I see what you've been pulling off, Team Love, stop it, it's not funny, it's not good, it's in VERY poor taste), this is just a game, you wanna win? Fight for your team. Actually play the game, don't let others do it for you and then complain when nothing got done. You're still getting rewarded for participating, and the bragging rights are short lived, anyway. The state of this fandom has gotten to the point I want absolutely NOTHING to do with it. It's incredibly toxic and it sucks that a game that I had to put a lot of sacrifice and effort to get is making me feel like I should stay away from because the majority of players are acting like trash.
That said, let's talk about the actual mode: three options was a BIG mistake. Sadly, taking an option out is unfeasible at this point, and it is the gimmick of this game, but they have to do something to fix the mess they created. Something to deal with the mirror matches, because it does get incredibly discouraging when you want to do something for your team, and all you get are either error messages or mirror matches, because there's not enough people on the other teams, or one team is incredibly unpopular. This game's Splatfest mode is outright NOT FUN at all. And while I do enjoy the Tricolor mode, as a gimmick on a Splatfest it's not really that good.
So these two things are what's making me get away from the game for good. Please, I know the mode has a heck TON of flaws, but good sportsmanship, people. No need to get so hateful or violent over it.
OH! And people, let's congratulate Frye, I'm impressed her team got Pro win with a 9% vote, I was more than happy to let her win, but sadly I was never matched against her.

Hello, I share your indignation about the new part of MK. Everything was changed too much and strangely. Can you write down the moments you didn't like? For example, I’m not happy with this whole situation with Kuai Liang - Scorpion, Tarkata - a disease, Raiden - Liu Kang 2.0, Fujin - Raiden’s sister, who is Kung Lao’s lover, seriously?
I WILL STATE that i have not bothered to look at everything myself but hear from reliable sources of the basic information of the game so i cannot give a full and fair critique. And i will not give this game anymore attention than i already have given it since it is just NOT a mortal kombat game.
Lets talk about the reasons you listed bc i agree.
Kuai liang as scorpion and in role reversal:
I am not a fan of this even remotely being "canon" Although the idea should be explored by fans WHO UNDERSTAND BOTH KUAI LIANG AND HANZO HASASHI AS CHARACTERS ORIGINALLY. It completely disrespects hanzo as a character and erases his connection to scorpion being a "gimmick thing to slap onto someone" as a title rather than a personal journey of meaning. And kuai deserves more respect as well, originally being an assassin whose clan tried to "modernize" by removing free will of warriors to ensure obedience and make their spirits and talents disposable. Trying to fight against that. It seems ironic in the end his fate is nothing more than to be toyed with by this unoriginal and uninspiring "role swap au lolz"
The tarkatan race being a disease:
I shouldn't even have to clarify how fucked up this is. Right after in mk 11 we saw tarkatans just being another race living in outworld minding their own business, and kotal fucking up (kotal khan is a wasted character but thats for another post) so we got what was once a "bad guy evil race" to something better. AND THEN THEY FUCKED IT UP AGAIN like isnt that, at best, the most tone deaf shit after what happened in real life with a certain disease and people being uber racist??? And dont get me started on how they messed up mileena with that too. (God damn the writers fucking hate her just as much as kung lao)
Raiden role reversal:
Let me tell you as a raiden enjoyer i fucking HATE them making him a basic ass protag like they did with liu kang (i love liu but lately they just removed all personality from him) its so fucking uninspiring and boring as shit AND THEY MAKE HIM CHAMPION INSTEAD OF KUNG LAO???? THE ABSOLUTE DISRESPECT WHAT THE FUCK i love raiden but he doesn't deserve champion title, that belongs to KUNG motherfucking LAO.
Fujin being a sister????:
Listen i havent seen it but this is the dumbest ass shit i have ever seen in my entire life. As if they couldn't show how little they actually care about fujin......
And the shallow fans who care little about fujin other than a "pretty fuck toy to do teh yaois with uwu" which is also what they did to shang tsung now which is like YOU FOOLS! CARY HIROYUKI TAGAWA-SAMA IS RIGHT FUCKING THERE!!! YOU SEXUALIZE HIM WHEN HE'S AN OLD MAN TOO OR YOU'RE A COWARD AND A SHAM!
And then there's the absolute nothing plot that really shows they ran out of ideas and just slap together bullshit. The villains arent really villains and they suck, its just "stop evil shang tsung but hes not actually evil bc theres this other timeline-" ITS FUCKING LAZY AND PATHETIC WRITING it shows that they want to have it all just to appease fans to take their money. Thats it, thats all this story boils down to. A shoddy scam to bullshit a story to take people's money. I mean you cant even get shang tsung or marjory of fan desired characters without dlc and the base game is like 60-70 bucks like the fuck????
As a regular fighting game? Mid but enjoyable i guess. But as a mortal kombat game? No, thats not even mortal kombat thats just some dumbasses wattpad fanfic after they watched avengers endgame in their crusty batman shirt
I'll end this with a small side note: if my opinions offend, I'm sorry im passionate about a series that was a part of my childhood and made me appreciate Japanese and Chinese culture and kung fu cinema in general. Im sorry if the memories of playing a fun game and caring about the characters having strong bonds of friendship in a violent world designed to be a "kill or be killed" system and despite that choosing to do the right thing in their mind.
Sorry if i seem to be playing a different game bc i am.
Its mortal kombat: shaolin monks for the ps2

I want to start a new bg3 campaign today now that some time passed, but I will also be playing with my friend in multiplayer and her game isn't modded. I don't mind not having more heads to choose from in the shared campaign, but I really really want to have them for my singleplayer.
and now I wonder if it's worth reinstalling all the required stuff for the additional heads or just suck it up.
I want to grab someone at larian by their shirt and shout in their face that I am desperate enough to throw money at them if they'd just bloody consider adding new faces dlc to their pitiable vanilla selection

I replayed TFS over the weekend and I miss the Ericson kids, clem and AJ so much :'( I wish we had more than 4 episodes :(((
We do too :(
We've played TFS around a dozen times because we love it so much and a big reason why is the Ericson kids. They're such a lovable group of survivors that has a good range of personalities who are all trying to do their best in this post-apocalyptic world. To us what makes a story and setting more compelling is a good cast of characters and that's what TFS brings. They knocked it out of the park by making a group of survivors you care about with shocking deaths that sting and emotional story beats that hit the mark.
We could gush for hours about TFS: the music, characters, art design, the romance options, the story beats. And because it's so good we also want more. It sucks that there isn't more but we feel like those four episodes did a good job with the story the creators wanted to tell. It's a miracle we even got the full game. But the idea of DLC always plays in the back of our minds. A short DLC of the Ericson kids during the early years of the outbreak would be amazing. Seeing the Ericson kids when they were little. When did Marlon step up as the leader? How did each kid process the end of the world? What were the other Ericson kids who are already dead and gone by TFS like? It's just so interesting to think about and AAGGHH Just take our money now!
It would've been cool to have DLC where you see the Ericson kids and Clem and AJ after TFS. See how they are adjusting maybe have another hootenanny and learn some more of the Ericson kids' backstories.
We just love them so much and want more!

... And just like that its time for us to replay TFS again

MORE QUESTIONS
what other fandoms do you enjoy outside of ASOIAF?
Lmao, the big list of Things Misa Enjoys
I very much enjoy anime & manga. I got infected with those brain worms back in high school, & they simply will not leave. Particularly into Sailor Moon, which I haven't stopped thinking about since 1999, (I have OCs for that & a fic I'm gonna one day sit down & plot out beyond This Is The Vibe. I have a few things floating around in my brain, but I just haven't made the time to do anything with it. Maybe since I'm at reception for 6 hours I'll do that 🤷🏻‍♀️) & JoJo's (I also have OCs for this one, but no fic. I do have a homebrewed ttrpg system to run a JoJo's campaign with, though. But I need to finish statting enemy Stand Users & some character design. Also it's not a priority because I have an asoiaf campaign trilogy to finish running). I don't read or watch anything with the quickness, so I haven't watched a ton of newer anime or made that much of a dent in my reading of Berserk, but I do enjoy both newer stuff and Berserk. I even have a couple figures from Demon Slayer, which is probably my favorite newer series? It feels very nostalgic to the series I grew up watching.
I was into the Netflix Witcher series, but I haven't been able to bring myself to finish season 3. No amount of Joey Batey tits or confirmed pansexual Jaskier can really build my hype back up when I've heard the last bit of s3 sucked & I know I probably won't watch season 4. I have collected all but the last book of short stories though, so once I've worked through more of my books I need to give a fair shake before donating I plan to start those & get into The Witcher proper.
The Elder Scrolls is very good & fun, & I know the plots of all the mainline games even though I've only ever actually played Skyrim to completion. I have...I have so many OCs for that. And a fic I'm slowly working on that tells the story of the Dawnguard DLC by way of Lapsed Viglant Of Stendarr & Werewolf Vampire Hunter Are Forcibly Adopted As Serana's New Parents (and also I am confirming Serana as, like, eternally 19 because she feels very teenagery/early 20s-y to me). Fun fact: two of my current very close friends (my Platonic Wife included) were made by way of TES (and then another friend was introduced to me by a TES friend). So, thanks for your service, Todd Howard. Y'know, I guess.
It feels very "What are your hobbies? / Magnets." to say, but, like, dolls in general. I've collected porcelain dolls since I was little (but that collection got pared down massively when I moved from Texas), & I'm currently working through a clean/restore/dress/display of my old Bratz dolls. I've also dropped real adult money on dolls to (out of box, bc it sparks joy) display in my apartment. Specifically the Sasha (my best girl) Rock Angelz repro I waited almost a full year to see drop, Heather Greyson from Shadow High, & The Pride Bratz (I had a giftcard). I need to finish cleaning my old Bratz before I drop money on more though. So I know my shelving situation, lmao.
I am not not into Dragon Age, but I also complain about it all the time. I refuse to engage with it in a multimedia way. What I cannot learn by playing the games/have told to me in those games is simply not for me to know. Just...the way the franchise is handled & how it feels very obvious that Bioware wants to tell an incredibly specific story (while still allowing for character creation?), all the lore decisions they're making that feel like retcons/throw away everything I got invested in early (hello the dwarves & the dalish & Alistair's everything), & the increasing non-optional nature of the comics & books...it brings my blood to boil. The games are fun though! I have fun playing the games! And my personal Warden/Hawke/Inquisitor trios can be pried from my cold, dead hands!
I'm gonna be real, I know much more about Th Old World Of Darkness than Vampie v5, but I am into Vampire The Masquerade. This is, again, a "I have learned everything in bursts of hyperfixation that last a varying length of time," but I would very much like to take one of my two special vampire boys out for a spin one day. Because they're there! They exist & they are appropriately melodramatic, & I love them. Evil, fucked up, Hecata thug & flouncy, Catholic For The Aesthetic Toreador music producer my beloveds 💕

Street Pass Mini Game Special
I truly love my 3DS. Even though I came in to owning one a lot later than everyone else, it's been something I've loved deeply. From themes to kisekae plates to the virtual console IR to AR, I really love exploring the full functionality of the system. At some point I'd probably start a series on other functions of the 3DS but today I wanted to focus on the beloved street pass!
So yes, I did buy ALL the street pass dlc when I hear the shop was closing and it's....an experience to say the least. This has given me the chance to go through them however! So let's go!!
Puzzle Swap
I loved this one a lot when I started using my 3DS. Collecting is definitely a brain activator for me. Admittedly though when they updated to multiple pieces getting collected, it was a lot healthier of a job. Right now, I sit extremely frustrated since my current memory card only shows the standard puzzles and not the ones added over time. I know at one point I was at least to one final puzzle needing filling so now I sit frustratingly finished but not really finished on it.
Find Mii 1&2
Find me was where I truly put more of my attention and also equally frustrating at one point in time as I rarely got passerbys and mostly relied on hires mercs. The biggest struggle was I got my 3DS after I moved back to the suburbs meaning I no longer had the benefit of living in a city or it's huge campus. By the time I did move back to city living, I went to a much smaller school at a time where the switch was about to be released. Sometimes I think back to watching my friends get to play Animal Crossing New Leaf and Pokemon X & Y(which I actually like) with a little bit of envy. There's the tug and pull that I went to a lot of cons at than time and could afford it because I was frugal or how getting an og 3DS likely would've stopped me from getting my beloved new 3DS but sometimes it sucks that I didn't shell out the $180 or so to be apart of all that. The 3DS was probably more of a kawaii golden era staple than any other system could have been and just little things like this suddenly come to mind.... Wait wasn't I supposed to be talking about the games? Ah yes, I truly love the two find Mii games. I think they're extremely fun and you can see the way they paved the path for Miitopia. I still have yet to collect all the rewards you can get partially because of that whole tangent issue but hopefully if I start to walk around with it more I can regularly beat the game. I've started to bring my 3DS to cons and now even own a second one after a lucky find so regular street passing is more common for me!
When it came to the next games, you had to pay for them in I believe $15 increments. Either two to three packages where available alongside the premium upgrade which allowed you to have a longer queue and one additional features. Each game also has a guide character for the stories.
Slot Car Rivals
This was the game I selected from the free choice when they offered that up for the game releases. You race against passers to try and progress and build up your car. If I'm honest I don't get this one much. Your guide character is a race team assistant.
Market Crashers
If somehow you can still get this one I'd choose it of the free choice. You get to do capitalism simply put with more passers equalling better predictions on stock shares going up or down through a session. The gameplay per a session is really short once it starts but I find it fun thus far. Basically rapidly hitting by or sell to make more money as quick as possible. There's also art assets to grab up and hold onto. I definitely get excited at chances to play this one. Your guide character is a reddit looking business man.
Feed Mii
Another concept I really like. You essentially grab ingredients and try to cook the best meals possible for your passers who are going out on quests. Do good and you get good reviews from their success. Sadly also really short gameplay overall. While you're encouraged to try cooking more before ending a session, the gameplay can feel a little to quickly done. Your guide character is a cozy male cook in a bandana.
Ninja launcher
Another extremely quick gameplay session one. You're trying to match up passers to be in your shooting path as they'll give you equipment to fight an enemy but you have a time limit to try and get the most ideal shot. Once you fight the target the session is over. Your guide character is a Yamato nadeshiko ninja.
Mii Trek
This one reaks of edutainment in the best way. Each passed adds to the amount of traveling you can do as you lead an expedition for treasure and find real life animals along the way. It's not fully my cup of tea but I like the journey you get to take being a longer and more complicated game session than the previous ones. Your guide character is a toucan straight out of the 90s era gif graphics.
Mii Force
Another longer game. You're in a classic side scrolling shooter with each passed equating to being a weapon with variation based on shirt color. Its sometimes even a little challenging for me. At points I even feel a bit frustrated because enemy shots aren't always clear on the screen noise but that also means I'll have more reason to come back to it as I progress through it. Your guide character is a robot captain.
Flower Town
One of my favorites and one I was really excited to finally get to play. You raise and breed flowers to create a plethora of breeds. I like anything that involves raising so this one spoke to me a lot. That being said it goes pretty slow hahahah. Your guide character is this calming older dude with glasses.
Warriors Way
I remember my best friend talking good of this one and I do enjoy it. Your troops are your total street passes and then most passer's numbers will also be added to yours which you then use to conquer other nations. Because I started so late I started off with a sizable 900+ and then a few thousand from others joining me. However I did run into a monster army I would of had to of challenged but I was too overwhelmed by the size. The battles are rock paper scissors but with the right number and it letting you know the win outcomes, it can be doable without ever losing. Your guide character is a butler.
Monster Manor
You're stuck in a mansion and collect essentially Tetris pieces that turn into halls to help you discover the stairs to help guide you up to freedom. You also occasionally fight ghosts. I don't know how to put it has more meat of a game but it doesn't hold my attention as much. Your guide character is a tiny girl who you employ (I promise I don't mean it in that way but she's a loli type)
Ultimate Angler
You fish various species with bait you receive from your street passes. It’s even local to your area based on how you registered yourself. To catch certain fish you need the right bait which is based on the color of your street passer’s shirts. When I had a lot of street passes pulled up it was pretty fun but it’s not as great when you struggle to get the right bait. I also wish you could change areas and save bait for new locations but sadly you have to use it all at once. When you get back you can stick the stuff you caught in an aquarium and sometimes get new rods which I haven’t explored much yet. You guide character is a bikini clad girl who runs the desk.
Battleground Z
The final of them is a zombie brawler where passers give you weapons or fight with you. I'm not a big fan of beat em ups so I'm a little sad I'm not a huge fan of this one. Sad because you're guide character is a blonde, Bayonetta looking onee-san.

Finally getting around to playing and beating Portia for the first time and the urge to create a builder oc for it is IMMENSE…. Especially since Rosemary is just a romance candidate oc for Sandrock so actually creating a builder oc for Portia would be kinda cool to me for some reason. Anyways here are some ideas I’ve mentally come up with for Portia builder oc:
1. She originally came to Portia so she could become a fisherman (Fisherwoman? Fishing chick!) and she was not interested in building AT ALL. When she first meets Presley and deals with story stuff, however, she feels that the city-state and her father have already put too much pressure on her being a builder that she might as well give up on her fishing dreams and do whatever she’s asked of. This makes her resent being a builder in a way but she figures it’s making her more money than fishing would and it’s nice to be helpful to people. She does go out to fish a lot though while she waits for her machines to do their thing. (Can you tell that I came up with this because fishing gives u HUGE bucks during early game…or maybe most of the game…haven’t gotten that far yet)
2. She has a love-hate relationship with Gust. I haven’t thought of how they met or most of their interactions but I like to think that she becomes very sarcastic towards him once she gets a good idea of his personality. Occasionally calls him “Gust the Great” In the most sarcastic tone while rolling her eyes as excessively as possible. They definitely get into little spats a lot and he ends up having to help/save her once or twice. He probably ends up being the only person she bothers telling about how much she doesn’t want to build and how she’d rather live the rest of her days just fishing outside of Portia instead. (I came up with that last part because he does say something like “you know, if you want to stop being a builder, we can live of the money I make” once you marry him and I just think that’s the CUTEST thing 🥺)
3. She probably has some kind of turquoise hair 🤔 I actually haven’t put much thought into her design/info in general
4. Maybe Gust sees her and Tody (fellow fishing enthusiast) hanging out and fishing together often and it causes Gust to get jealous? Randomly finds himself getting into bad moods when he sees the two chilling and when he accidentally brings it up to Albert, he’s like “are u sure u don’t just like her or something” and Gust VEHEMENTLY disagrees with him all “nah I hate her ass she sucks so much” but inside he’s like “…oh no”
Uhhh that’s it I guess??? I’ve had to restart Portia twice but I really am in love with it!! I wanna say that I already love it as much as I love Sandrock!! Planning on coming up with Portia builder oc designs once I’m done with Rosemary’s dlc outfits.
