So Eurovision is tomorrow and all of Finland is super wild about the Finnish competitor, Käärijä. Like, his look with the green bolero and a bowl cut is extremely meme-able, and the song is catchy as hell.

On first glance it's like a typical macho drinking partying song, but it has this like, subtle undercurrent of criticising that idea in Finnish drinking culture that you have to be drunk out of your brain to break out of your shell.

And then halfway through the song there is a transformation: it goes from heavier rap to more melodic pop and. And the video has a crucial visual transformation: the macho hulk-arms guy is wearing a long blonde wig.

And in the end, it is not the toxic-green hulk-arms that are lifted in victory in the ring, it's the blonde that wins.

And something that I picked up on when looking through stuff he says himself (esp. on his social media) is this very Lil Nas X-ish vibe of being just, y'know, a cool guy. Positive and excited and like, yeah his English is very accented (people call it rally English because rally drivers often have heavy Finnish accents when they speak English) but he's not like embarrassed about it or refusing to speak English for fear of being not good enough, etc...

And aside all of the actual stuff going on with the song and the performer: young boys in Finland love him. And like, Finland has an Andrew Tate problem as much as everywhere else, so Käärijä is a much needed alternative voice for kids to hear.

SUPRISE! I wasn't done with the käärijä stickers x'D

As I mentioned a while ago I've decided to order some physical stickers to gift to people at the two gigs I'll be attending on the käärijä eu tour :3 (that being the Stockholm and Berlin gigs)

In the end I decided to make exclusive stickers for each event; here they are :3
