Nozomi says "8 Pretty Cure," so she's including Milky Rose among them, who technically isn't a Pretty Cure, right in front of Michiru and Kaoru, which man, feels so disrespectful to them lmao. 💀 Granted, she obviously isn't aware of their past history and all, but still...

So, Otona PreCure and the No Homo Thing
You know, I watched Kibou no Chikara - Otona PreCure now and I surprisingly liked it, even though Yes PreCure 5 is among the PreCure seasons I liked the least. But I kinda really liked how much this show went into the entire "fighting climate change and also capitalism is bad" thing. I mean, there is an irony to it, if course. Given that this very much exists as a capitalist product.
But there was one thing that irked me to no end: The NO HOMO they did with Saki and Mai.
Look, people. PreCure is inherently sapphic, whether it was intended like that or not. It is inherently sapphic in the same way that most magical girl shows are inherently sapphic. It is a show about girls and focuses on the relationship between those girls. And of course the two Futari Wa series were very strong on this.
Especially with Saki and Mai.
And here comes this new show and... gives the two of them off-screen boyfriends. Especially Saki an unnamed fiancé, who we only ever see from behind. Who has no voiceline. Nothing. Which is just such a fucking big ass "no homo" thing.
Like, fuck this. Let the sapphics have this, god darn it.
I mean, PreCure in the past was already at times pretty clear about the queer stuff. So why do we have to make this big thing out of this? Especially given that this show was for fucking adults.
And mind you, Coco and Nozomi - a pretty much beastialic relationship - get their happy end. So... A romance between a girl and her animal fairy is totally okay, as long as it is straight? But lesbians is asking too much? Are you fucking kidding me?
