5 Must-Watch Magical Girls For Animal Crossing Lovers!
Love planting pumpkins, meeting friends, and picnics surrounded by aesthetically pleasing flower patches? If you do, here’s the top 10 magical girl series we’d recommend to Animal Crossing fans!
Although a long way from a traditional magical girl, this series follows a new young witch as she strives for independence and learns to live among non-magical locals. Along the way, she learns about gardening, small magics, witch history, and enjoys many slow days in the countryside.
This series features many unique and fun friendships, and is totally suitable for all viewers. The tone is very soft, cozy, and a very calming series to watch.
This Pretty Cure season is all about the land of flowers - and the flowers that reside in everyone’s hearts are being wilted and used for evil! Cure Blossom must find the courage to make friends and save others, while learning about flower language, fashion, and doing everyday activities.
This show does have some darker moments and action, but is completely family friendly, fun, and contains much slice-of-life style episodic parts. Plus, it’s a great beginners gateway to all the other wholesome Precure seasons!
CCS is one of the most iconic names in the genre, following young Sakura as she accidentally unleashes an unstable magic on the world. In order to fix her mistake, Sakura must discover her own strength, all while making friends, finding love, and dealing with loss.
This anime is very sweet and soft, being very slice-of-life and episodic. Although it does have very mild action, and some mature concepts, it’s suitable for all ages.
Machikado Mazoku (The Demon Girl Next Door)
Yuuko, a seemingly normal, if poor student, discovers she’s next in line to the demon throne and has been tasked with restoring her family’s honor - by murdering a magical girl!
Fortunately for the weak and powerless Yuuko, she’s surrounded by helpful friends, including the local magical girl.
In spite of its ominous-sounding premise, this series often subverts magical tropes for comedic value, while still remaining wholesome and largely tween-plus friendly fun. The adorable cast and episodic nature, are paired well with adorable visuals.
What magical girls do you think go with Animal Crossing? We’d love to know in the comments!

Meet Capricorn! The fourth and final installation to my four part series of Magical Girls themed around Zodiac signs.
Group Position: The Logical Self-Reliant
Weapon; Earth Pistols
Personality: Hardworking, Responsible, Cool Headed, Disciplined, Ambitious, Tomboy.
Out of all her friends Capricorn is the most level headed. Often avoiding arguments and getting into trouble. She's the one everyone can go to when they're having a problem. Unlike Scorpio, she empathises often with her friends and doesnt seem as disconnected from her emotions. Capricorn knows how to have a good time without being irresponsible. Capricorn is the stable foundation that the girls need to keep themselves together and as one team.
Capricorn comes from a very low working class family, often living in poverty. She's been taught from a young age to be strong and rely on herself. She's sensible and hardworking, trying her best to get far in life and give her family a better life. Capricorn likes to mother all the other girls and make sure they're all okay, she can seem a little intimidating at first but deep down Capricorn is a sweetheart to all her friends. She's also seen flirting on and off with Leo.

Here's Celestial Rose's first attack! For context: the shield is made of solid light and can basically be used like a battle frisbee (idk what to call it) or to deflect attacks. Her first few attacks are on the defense side to show her character development but gains more offensive attacks too in later chapters.
By the way, I hope all you guys are staying safe given the recent rise in cases from where I live! I'm still pretty busy at home with school work, but I'll do my best to keep bringing you artwork that will hopefully brighten up your day :D.
Stay clean, wear a mask and stay home (as much as you can), everyone!
