Clementina “Cleo” Ochoa-Shah ♦ Jack the Giant Killer ♦  The Heist Specialist ♦ Cis-woman (she/her) ♦ 35 ♦ Jolly Rogers ♦ Bartender
“What's more human than the fight for survival?”
Being born to two societally-rich families came with long lines of interesting history for Clementina Ochoa-Shah. Before Cleo Ochoa-Shah, there was Iri Shah, The Great. Shah, a noble and honorable surname hailing Indian emperors, kings, princes and lords–– including Cleo’s father. Iri was born during a modern time that influenced him in “devilish” ways according to the Shah family. The great Iri landed himself in costly situations during his bachelor days, being widely talked about in the community he grew up due to his immature ways of living. Late nights, too many dates, (addiction to) drinking, drugs and dancing cost him a well-built reputation. His parents had raised him to be the perfect son and husband to carry the Shah name. Iri attended private schooling, won awards in sports and athletics, received no less than an A and was heavily involved in the church he grew up in. Then–– Iri met Cora. Cora was an addiction in a new form. Iri relinquished all noble titles, choosing to be with Cora after a whirlwind romance. The pair moved to Cora’s home in Monterrey, Mexico. Within 3 months of dating each other, the young couple found out they were soon expecting. Iri was shocked, almost in disbelief of Cora. The trust issues that had been drilled in him since he was a young child came to full display once he received the news from his new girlfriend, the same one he claimed he loved enough to give it all up for. The same one he actively hid his alcohol and drug addiction from.
When Cleo was little, she dreamed of being a normal girl but overtime, she realized her life was her normal. It was as normal as it could get for someone like her.
Cora Ochoa was a strong woman born into a family of Mexican diplomats representing a government of its own kind. Cora’s relationship with Iri brought judgment but she was focused on one thing: her family. She wanted her daughter to experience the luxuries she had growing up but she had to find ways other than her family to have her own wealth. As Iri grew farther and farther from his royal tendencies, he picked up a few of his own sort. A tendency he happened to flourish in was gambling, especially after a few drinks. He would bring Cleo to the casino at a young age while Cora was at university. As Cleo grew up, she realized how chaotic her parents truly were. Her father was a royally shamed man, trying to keep up for the sake of his daughter and partner. Her mother was a hard working woman, falling through the cracks as she tried to maintain a stable environment for Cleo. Then, when Cleo was twelve years old, her parents informed her they were moving to London. She was young, naive to assume this was voluntary.
Over time, she realized the truth. Both of her parents had been formally disowned by their family’s for their own personal choices. However, the freedom she experienced in London was like no other. For the first time, Cleo didn’t have someone watching over her. People didn’t try to limit her imagination, nor did they try to influence her to do something the “correct” way, she was her own person. Nobody compared her to her father or her mother, she was brand new in London.
The Ochoa-Shah’s exiled from glory, eventually finding dark paths in London. Their demeanor didn’t stop Cleo from always wanting more. She knew what she came from and she was determined to grow fruitful in her own ways. She was no longer enrolled in private boarding school, opting for the normalcy of London schools. There, she was introduced to the taste of stolen goods and the rest was history.
Cleo knows the game of being morally good and bad and she enjoys teetering it. She recognizes the right thing she has to do for the made-up laws of the world: being an A-level student, graduating with a good-paying degree in a specific field and keeping her opinion to herself so nosey people don’t get in her way.
+ / -  : Detailed, honest, loyal, dependable, conniving, devious, withdrawn, volatile
Cleo grew up in Mexico until she was 12 years old and has not been back since. She often daydreams about her childhood in Mexico.
Cleo is a Gemini and recently has been getting into astrology and cosmology.
Cleo loves coffee but hates tea. She will have one cuppa a year.
Cleo has a complicated relationship with her family but remains in contact with them.
Cleo was a medicinal chemist for a biotechnology and pharmaceutical company for almost a decade but chose to leave her career field for her role as heist specialist.
Cleo joined the Jolly Rogers at 18 years old before she committed full-time to her new position.

František Kupka, The Yellow Scale (Škála žluté), 1907
dobrý den, dobrý večer, přidávám se k 'Speak Your Language Day' od @polish-art-tournament
Uchvátili mě ty zlatavé barvy a nonšalatní gesto + celkový nádech obrazu. Mohla bych se na něj dívat celý den :)
(taky jsem podle něj vytvořila svoje první OC, Clementina)

It's about the OC you recently posted w/ the lady revolution leader & from the POV from the male LI I think
OKOKOKOK THATS WHAT I THOUGHT BUT I DIDNT KNOW IF I DID ANYTHING ELSE WKJHGSASDFGH
(This is just going to be random information and facts I like asdfghj)
Their society is split into a caste system, from highest to lowest it's Diamonds (who usually uphold the law and are more likely to get positions of power) Spades (upper class, businessmen), Hearts (minimum wage workers or maybe businessmen), and Clubs (usually hard labor workers). Although there isn't exactly a difference in how they're provided for, everyone has the same housing opportunities and they aren't segregated in any way (theres technically nothing stopping a Club from trying to be a politician) theres still bias that will make it a lot harder for them to get the position.
The "main" girl is eighteen year old Clementina, she lives next to Guy and was essentially raised by him (their relationship is 100% father/daughter, and he often checks up on her or gives her food, she trusts him 100%) she's a Heart who is in love with a Club (her boyfriend Archer), this leads them both to decide to challenge the Empire (not fully delved into in the story so I don't have the details exactly but it's basically an appointed person of each caste who keep all the rules in place) in order to abolish how the caste system is currently implemented.
But that plot (even though I like it a lot), is mostly on the back burner. Guy himself is pretty oblivious to the revolution. The story itself is supposed to show how a normal day to day person functions in a society thats going under drastic changes. He doesn't do anything heroic, he's a normal middle aged man who works from home doing finance. His side of the story is pretty domestic for the first portion, but eventually it turns to him trying to stay optimistic when, even though he's a regular citizen, he gets caught in the crossfire that Clementina caused.
