⋆ the angst part has some sensitive topics like being blamed for someone's death and mental illnesses

How To Create An Economy That Works. Even if People Don't.
COVID-19 this year shook the world out of complacency. We see with clarity that our economy doesn't work if people don't.
That makes human beings slaves to the economy. So much so, some willingly will die for it.
That's crazy. It also literally means humans are cogs in the economic wheel. We here at Copiosis hear this sentiment often. People say "how can you create a society where people won't work when so many things we need, need people working to provide them?"
That, dear reader, is a kinder way of saying, "people must work for me whether they like it or not."
That is slavery.
But we can have a vibrant economy, even if people don't work. Just because you might not know how that can happen doesn't mean it's impossible. What we're creating with Copiosis is opportunity for all. Not just opportunity, truly unprecedented, first-of-its kind opportunity: Freedom and Wealth For Everyone in an economy that works even if people don't.
When we use the word "freedom" we mean something specific:
Tumblr media
^^We mean something specific when we use the word "freedom".
Opportunity, wealth, freedom
When we combine opportunity, wealth and freedom together, we mean something specific too. What do we mean by this?
We're creating societies that thrive on moneyless economies. Talk about an economy - let alone a society - that thrives without money. You'll be met with blank faces or rolled eyes. Humanity and money have been together for so long, we can't conceive what society would look like without it, even though there was a time when human societies used no money.
Common belief suggests no civilization can survive without a thriving economy and economies can not function without a viable exchange medium.
Our almost religious belief in money as the sin qua non of functional economies, brings with it a panoply of problems.
"Those problems will intensify until we kick existing structural systems to the curb, replacing them with something better, including a better way to reward those who produce value."
That quote was the original paragraph of this post that went here. As you can see, way back in 2014, years after we published the original, societal problems HAVE intensified. With that intensity come calls for running society differently.
Eliminating money from civilization is a grave issue. Money is not the root of all evil, but for many reasons, money causes nearly all problems we see today. Eliminate money and virtually all these problems disappear. No endeavor holds more promise.
More of us are discovering the theory of how moneyless economies might benefit humanity. What it would look like and how it would function are different matters.
Let alone how we might pay for such a transition. Copiosis answers both the what and the how, including the part about paying for it. Without these answers, such societies will remain merely theoretical.
How does this equal opportunity, freedom and wealth, for everyone?
Look at the one percent. Opinions to the contrary, the majority of these people, especially the newer ones, have far more in common with the 99 percent than not. A common thread running through these multimillionaires' experience is...well, here's what they say:
...you will never have to worry about things like retirement, being able to send your kids to college, paying for catastrophic medical problems, working if you don't want to.
...well, I can basically do anything I want. So what do I want?
I knew it meant I'd never, ever have to work again unless something went terribly wrong.
The only thing I really desire nowadays, is for "self actualization". How do I leave a legacy in a short life?
What is real wealth?
Being wealthy is less about money and more about what money allows.  Wealth = freedom. Remember Abraham Maslow?
He wrote a paper a long time ago called “A Theory of Human Motivation.” The paper later became a book “Motivation and Personality”. You may not remember the writings. I’m sure you remember his famous Hierarchy of Needs.
To review briefly, Maslow asserted five motivations behind human action.
Psychological - Satisfying survival needs (breathing, food, water, sex, homeostasis, etc)
Safety - Gaining security: physical, resources, health, property
Love/Belonging - Satisfying needs in sexual intimacy, friendship, family
Esteem - Gaining respect of others, respect by others, achievement leading to confidence
Self-Actualization - creativity, spontaneity, problem solving, acceptance of facts, etc.
The five motivations above are written in backwards order. They really look like the pyramid below, with step five representing the pinnacle. The others come underneath it.
Tumblr media
^^By User:Factoryjoe - Mazlow's Hierarchy of Needs.svg, CC BY-SA 3.0, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=7964065
People generally strive to climb the pyramid, the goal being Self-actualization. Some people, most people, get to level three or four. Few reach level five.
The main thing about being wealthy is your priorities. With wealth, priorities shift up the pyramid. Radically different life experiences result. No, not flying in private jets and screwing the 99 percent. But taking time to completely understand oneself, then achieving those things that add to one's self-worth, -esteem, and the higher states of being human.
This is what Copiosis offers everyone. How?
By replacing money
Copiosis replaces money with Net Benefit Reward. Net Benefit Reward is not money. Some of its functions are similar to money in appearance. Yet, Net Benefit Reward is limited in ways money is not.
Net Benefit Reward, like all rewards, represents an expression of a society’s gratitude to an individual whose acts benefit society and the planet. This is a critical difference between Net Benefit Reward and money. Any reward is a gift. It is not something the recipient expects in return for something. Nor do they earn it.
Typically, rewards are awarded after the fact. Sometimes, the person or organization offering the reward is a third party to the act itself.  Recipients of said rewards are usually not expecting such recognition. They are instead performing acts of their own volition for purposes other than receiving the gift of recognition.
For example, a Marine receives the Medal of Honor, the greatest wartime distinction in the US Armed Services. Did the Marine commit his act of bravery in order to receive the award?  Of course not.
He didn't say to himself: "If I do this, I may win the Medal of Honor! Semper Fi!!!!" then charge the hill. When he returns to the rear after single-handedly saving his platoon, he doesn't walk into the Platoon leader's tent and say: "Where the hell is my Medal of Honor? I earned it!"
Tumblr media
^^Coast Guard/Navy/Marine Corps Medal of Honor[/caption]
Instead, such men are thinking (in the moment): "We're pinned down. If someone doesn't do something, we're all gonna die." Or, more likely, he just takes action because that's what he does.
In the rear, he'll explain it this way:
"Hell man, I was just doing my job, protecting my fellow Marines."
If you read such accounts, this invariably is the "hero's" response. It is the Staff Sergeant, the Platoon commander and their chain of command - the Marine's "society" - that responds to this Marine's "just doing my job" - his act - by rewarding him with the Nation's highest honor...after the fact. After all the details are in, often after several months go by, maybe, even years.
This is how Net Benefit Reward in Copiosis works too. Producers act. They act because they are passionate about what they are doing. They are doing that thing as an expression of their passion. They do that thing because they can't think of anything else they'd rather be doing. If they could be doing something else, they'd be doing that.
They could be doing it because their passion is to make society better in a way they know how, in the way that fulfills them. They could be doing it because they just love doing that thing and they'd do that thing if society was around or not.
A Copiosis society responds to Producers' "passion expression" by rewarding them. Producers can then use that reward to access certain other rewards. Things that are only accessible....not through reward....but through acts.
There is no exchange going on. There are only acts. Society rewards desirable acts by making accessible certain tangible rewards. Incidentally, Medal of Honor recipients, once rewarded can use that reward to access other rewards not accessible to others. Net Benefit Reward functions similarly. In a Copiosis economy, "certain rewards" are luxury goods and services.
Necessities (food, clothing, shelter, education, healthcare) are provided to all at no cost. Producers who make necessity goods are acting. Action which produces Necessities are rewarded by the Copiosis society with Net Benefit Reward. That is how Consumers receive Necessities at no cost.
Is Copiosis akin to that fabled "gift economy" people theoretically talk about? Or is it an exchange economy?
It doesn't really matter. This is how Copiosis works.
Shortly after the transition, producers may feel they are owed this reward like an exchange.  Such feelings don't describe how Copiosis works.  Copiosis doesn't "make" people feel this way.
That feeling is an artifact of a system where people needed money to buy things they needed to survive.  The way they got that money was to earn it (through work). Debt fostered expectation—if money didn't come, one risked loss. The longer the delay between work performed and money paid, the stronger the expectation. Foiled expectations lead to anger, workers' rights and labor unions. After all, work in the old days was often dangerous, life-threatening and extremely physically demanding. Creditors were unforgiving as well. Fail to pay your debts and you could lose all your possessions, even your children and your wife.
This doesn't happen in Copiosis. Everything you need is provided at no cost to you. Society covers the "cost" as an expression of gratitude (Net Benefit Reward) towards producers. With all Necessities provided, everyone instantly experiences wealth unparalleled. The first two levels of Maslow's hierarchy - where most people invest their time achieving - are instantly covered.
But it doesn't stop there. People now are free to do whatever they want in pursuit of climbing the pyramid.
Freed from earning a living, it's natural that people will perform acts best-suited to their talents. Now they have time to discover who they are, what lights their fire. Contributing to others and to society then becomes natural.
Copiosis creates a functioning economy with no medium of exchange. That same economy overflows with acts at all levels and in all sectors. Acts creating tremendous prosperity. No money required.
COVID-19 showed us how crazy we've become about money, economics and systems we use to run those economics. Let's enjoy a vibrant economy, but let's not give our lives to it. Economies should support us living. We don't know about you but living isn't worth living without freedom, wealth and opportunity.
Copiosis offers all three. To find out more about Copiosis, visit Copiosis.com.

Last Saturday night I was at a David Duchovny concert in Vancouver.  The concert venue was at the Imperial - a great venue- but in a neighborhood that the Urban Dictionary says is the worst neighborhood in all of Canada and some homeless advocacy groups argue  is the poorest neighborhood in all of North America.  Many of us at the concert had traveled to Vancouver from across the globe and there was some fear and trepidation which I over heard from other concert goers about this neighborhood. I had worked as a homeless advocate and have been on the board of a homeless shelter in the 90′s in Albuquerque.  I want to share my viewpoints of my experience in the worst neighborhood in Canada from an X-File frame of view because what brought me to Vancouver on October 14 was, of course, to see David Duchovny in Vancouver where the X-files was and is being filmed during a week-end which included 1013 Friday.  How does homelessness and the X-file find a theme together?  That is outlined in the link to the video above.
I guess one way to set the mood is to say that my friend and I were only spending a week-end in Vancouver, but many other David Duchovny fans had been in Vancouver a week and had been to many famous filming sites.  My friend and I were staying at a Ramada fairly near the venue.  We drove through the area at first looking for parking before deciding that the valet parking at the Ramada was the best choice.  As we drove by I said- looking at the homeless and the city streets and remembering the video above- “oh, my God, this is the neighborhood they shot “Home Again” in.”  I realize, of course, the complete insensitivity to the plight of homelessness to see it in such focused X-file terms, but it was my frame of mind at the time.  My friend and I did in fact look for the filming sites of “Home Again” as we walked around the neighborhood, but because it is from the last season which we have not yet seen hundreds of times (only dozens) we were unable to locate exact locations.  We did watch the episode again back in Seattle the night before I flew home.
On Saturday morning we decided to walk to the Ovaltine Restaurant (the filming location of a scene in Jose Chung) and to go by the venue.  We found ourselves walking down what I now realize is the area considered the worst two blocks in at least Canada and possibly North America.  The poverty was clear- people living in tents on the street a few blocks away from some fine, upscale and beautiful neighborhoods.  We then went to the Ovaltine Restaurant, the venue, back to the hotel for an hour of two, back to the venue to stand in line (starting at noon), walked back through the neighborhood to gastown for a bite to eat and back to the venue to stand in line again, before taking a cab back to the hotel after the concert.
I want to state fairly clearly that there was not one time I felt scared or fearful (although I would not walk back to the hotel in the evening because I am not foolish) and the only time I was asked for money was after leaving the venue after the concert.  As we walked down the blocks at 9 a.m on a Saturday morning, we were greeted with “Good morning Ladies” and comments that our coffee cups were pink.  When our way was blocked and I said “excuse me” people moved out of the way politely.  There was nothing unpleasant about that walk except for being confronted with the fact that poverty exists and people (human beings) live in horrific conditions day in and day out.
As we stood in line for 6 hours to see a concert, there was an need on an occasion to use a restroom.  The coffee shop sometimes let you and sometimes said that it was just for customers so my friend and I started using the community center on the corner which was truly more of a homeless center.  Again, I was greeted, offered water and shown the restroom.  My friend found blood in one of the restrooms so we climbed the stairs to use one on the other floor.  There were food being served, there were disposable containers for needles, there were signs telling people where to go if they were overdosing.  People were being afforded respect and dignity.  I was impressed.
Here are some statistics from “Addressing Homelessness in Metro Vancouver” a white paper published in February 2017.
An estimated 80% of homeless people suffer a chronic health issue (45% suffer two or more health conditions concurrently)15 b. 44% of sheltered and 55% of unsheltered homeless have an addiction (2014)16 c. 33% of sheltered and 36% of unsheltered homeless suffer mental illness (2014)10 d. 30% of sheltered and 27% of unsheltered homeless have a physical disability (2014)1
As we stood in line several neighborhood people talked to us.  We actually had sandwiches we did not want to eat, but couldn’t find any person that wanted the sandwiches.  Again most neighborhood people were polite, courteous and curious about why so many of us were waiting in line in front of a concert venue 6 hours before the doors opened.  I laughed on and off for hours at a woman who said “what are you protesting?”  I told my friend that we were the laziest protesters ever - no signs, no marching, no chanting- worst protest ever.  At one point a women who appeared to be suffering from withdrawal of some time fell.  Other people in line offered her assistance but she could not focus on them enough to accept their help.  She was in her own world.  After a few minutes when I witnessed her getting her shaking under control and her checking her legs to see if she was hurt, i went up to her.  From her perspective I was a big brown blob walking up to her and I startled her.  I told her that when she was ready I was willing to help and she desperately reached for my hands.  I helped her up and she grasped a tree until she was ready to stand and walk on her own.  I offered her food.  She did not want it.  She never asked for money.  Never threatened me.
The next morning I woke up thinking of that episode “Home again” and the point of the episode.  I wondered how many of us X-Files fans might have thought back to that episode that night having experienced these and other moments.  The point - people are not trash.  They are not disposable.  They are not to be discarded.  I can walk away from that neighborhood and I can avoid the similar downtown areas in Albuquerque, but the people and the problem still exist.  From my experience in Albuquerque I know the underlying issues of homelessness - mental health issues, substance abuse, traumatic brain injuries, lack of literacy, lack of job skills, disenfranchisement from society, family and friends having giving up on them.  I know that veterans make up a large percentage of our homeless population in America, I know that senior citizen homeless numbers rose drastically in 2008 and subsequent years when retirement savings were loss and, like Vancouver, native people are a higher percentage in the homeless population than in the general population.  We can look to our educational systems, our prisons systems, our health care services (especially for the mentally ill), our foster care systems and juvenile care systems and to our economy.  The reality is a whole lot of us who go through our lives as hard working, normal citizens are closer to homelessness than we would like to admit.  In the past year I had to borrow money from friends and move into a friends home because of unemployment and I actually consider myself a fairly successful human.  We are all just humans doing the best we can in our life with what we have.  Nothing could remind us more of that than having spent so much time in that area around people who despite their issues were polite and courteous to us.
I know our fan groups are a socially conscious and caring group of people who donate to all kinds of causes - let David Duchovny issue a post asking people to donate to charities on his birthday and beautiful things happen.  The proceeds from this concert went to hurricane victim.  This is a fan group which organizes volunteer and donation events for charities in honor of Gillian Anderson’s and Scully’s birthday.  The holiday season is ahead of us .  I am especially asking something of every one who attended that concert and interacted that night with a person who lives on the street in the worst neighborhood of North America.  If you fall into this category, than this holiday season in honor of “Home Again” and the X-files they do something in your communities to alleviate the effects of homelessness, reduce the possibility of someone becoming homeless or end some of the underlying causes of homelessness - take blankets or socks to a shelter, donate to a literacy program, call your legislators and demand better services for addiction treatment.   Buy subways cards and pass them out whenever you see someone with a sign saying hungry.
At the very least, the next time you are in a situation where you are going to interact with homeless individuals (perhaps because of a David Duchovny concert), please treat people with respect and kindness.  People are not trash.  They are not disposable.  I was reminded of this last Saturday.

「Containment Breach」
Word Count: 5126 A/N: This is my first drabble in a loooong time. So, I hope I do pretty okay for it. I just wanted to hammer in some of Aster’s backstory and motivations for this blog and him as a muse, this isn’t necessarily a required read! PLEASE, reference [here] for several of the characters’ essentials and information. But, if you do decide to read it, enjoy yourself!
     “Aster--! You’re silly!”
The female’s voice rang out, a man’s laughing behind her. Three sat at the lunch table, garbed in white scrubs and sneakers. They nearly blended into the scenery around them, the facility a striking and strange white. The only color there were the armed guards, dawned in black combat gear for any occasion. However, based on the trio enjoying their lunch, one wouldn’t even pass the thought of an uprising.
A younger man was sat across from a woman and older man duo, both his seniors. His short sleeves allowed for the exposure of a bold ink, marked ‘S#032.’ His teal gaze was still blank, looking at the bland food before him. He couldn’t understand why the other two were laughing at him. The woman held her gloved hand out, being the only one with a full body uniform. She grabbed the plastic utensil and stabbed the prongs into the cooked green beans, holding them out before his mouth. His eyes looked up at the woman, her soft, beige complexion settling upon his blank stare. Teal hues refused to leave the woman’s face as she then mimicked a mother to a child, “Aster, say ‘ahh!’”       His mouth opened but no sound came from his lips. The food was placed in and he began to chew, the man across from him giving a small chuckle, “Gosh, Jae. If he wasn’t so brain dead, it’d be like you were a cute couple sharing a meal-- Except it took all the mush!”      “Dex, sometimes your mouth is just too big for that tiny head of yours!”
The two continued to bicker as Aster chewed, swallowing the mouthful of food once it was thoroughly ground up. He blinked his eyes, the two others turning their gaze back to him. The man lifted his head with a half cocked smile on his face, “Hey, Aster, what’s my name?”      “D... Dexter,” The young man replied, his gaze slowly turning to the older, bulkier man. Dexter then pointed to the woman that had her hand pressed against his face, his own fist pressed down against the top of her head, “... And her?”      “Jae-eun,” Aster replied, slow and zombie like. His gaze slowly shifted to meet her, and she simply smiled at him. The response ignited one within himself as well, the barely alive man’s lips curled at their corners to create an expression of delight. Jae-eun and Dexter smiled alike, dropping their hands from each other. Dexter then folded his arms, “Looks like our boy is becoming more and more human, huh?”      “He’s always been human, Dex. Don’t tease him like that.”      “Tease him? I’m just saying, wait until he can hold conversation! It’ll be nice to be able to talk to somebody besides you--!”      “Hey, nobody’s asking you to talk to me!”
Their laughter echoed from the table, enriching their imprisoned lives. For what it was, it held peace. Years passed as they grew closer, the three experiments forming an unbreakable bond.
“Dex, from the right!”      “Don’t leave our left flank open, Aster!”      The two men were training together, running a lane for a combat simulation. A target popped up from the left, where Dexter had called it. Aster’s body encased itself in a blue glow as he thinned down to a blue beam of movement, only to reappear into the air as he had made destination. He extended his left arm, to reveal a black, metallic pistol. The trigger was pulled and the shot rang out, the lead round tearing through the air with the intention of pain and destruction. It tore through the target, the figure collapsing onto its back with a successful buzzer beep. His body encased itself once more, suddenly appearing next to Dex. The taller man was looking up at the large time posted from a neon clock, Aster’s eyes following him.
“17 seconds?! We were slower!?”      “I told you, Aster! You’re slower than I am, you need to focus on what we know is there. I can handle the rest,” He constructed, turning his gaze to meet Aster. The man gazed up with a nod, the both of them then bumping their forearms together, “There’s always next time.”      The two were then released from the lane, the door leading to a long hall that branched off in many directions. Jae-eun was waiting for them, a large smile on her face as they came walking together. Her hands clapped together, “About time they let you out! I was about to go eat without you!”      “You probably would have eaten our meals, too,” Dex said, Aster following up with a laugh himself.      “I’m feeding for two!” She retorted.      “T-Two!?” The duo exclaim, looking at one another as if they had the suspicion that the other was at fault for this.      “Myself and I!” She answered, with a look of accomplishment to wring out such a response from them. Aster’s cheeks flushed red and he turned his gaze away while Dex threw his head back with a groan, “Come on, then, Sea Sponge. Let’s go catch dinner.”
The three were walking together, making conversation about the day’s happenings. Aster’s gaze turned from Dexter and Jae-eun, meeting a woman’s figure at the end of the hall. She stood, arms tucked in and downwards, a bold ‘S#037′ placed on her left bicep. The teal hues raised from her arm to her lean face, examining her genetic perfections. His lips curled with a hint of a smile, giving a small wave, “Hey, Aella.”      The woman was kind enough to return the smile and nod at him, “Enjoying yourself, Aster?”      “Of course, Aella. Dex is always a blast to be around!”      “Isn’t he?” She replied, her gaze shifting to the taller man. The two held a silence before he stepped out from in between Aster and Jae-eun, giving them a quick glance back, “I’ll catch up, you two. Don’t wait up-- Just keep the food hot.” He gave them a smile, ushering them along.
Aster paid no mind to it, turning to his companion to continue casual conversation-- Only to catch her glancing back at the two. He then turned back to see the two exchanging words, Dexter glancing up at them only to turn his figure away from them. As if he were blinding himself of their presence, to shun them away from this side of who Dexter was. Every time he spoke with Aella, he closed himself to the lot of them.  To Jae-eun. To Aster.
His brows burrowed upwards with a line of concern, Jae-eun’s hand placing itself onto the younger man’s shoulder and turning his gaze away from that image of self torment and questioning. His breath was unsteady without even his own realization, the rolls of mucus being the only indicator to Aster. two.
The two had stepped out into the cafeteria, only to see a bulky and tall man, a gaze hard on the duo. The man’s number was bold across his larger bicep, a printed ‘S#039.’ Aster’s brows furrowed at just the sight of the other, “It’s Owain.”      “I know,” Jae-eun replied in more of a whisper, to attempt to dissuade any sort of suspicion that Owain might have held. However, despite her attempt, the man’s figure moved towards them. His lips were in a natural frown, his brows generally pushed forward to that of annoyance or anger. He stepped in front of Aster, Jae-eun attempting to put herself in between the them. Owain didn’t push to her advances, his silver eyes glaring down the shorter Aster, “’32, don’t you listen to that boy’s lies now.”      “Wh-What are you talking abo--!?”      “They need you, ‘32. And, when the time comes, walk between their given paths.”      “What’s your deal, Owain!?” Yet, before an answer could be given, a loud buzzer sounded across the facility. Everyone present knew the meaning, a long buzz to signify that it was time for them to sleep the night away. It drew Aster and Jae-eun’s attention away from the man, his movements shifting as he stepped passed and began his way to his own containment cell. Aster turned about, spotting the man’s back as the words seemed to rattle his brain.
     “... Who are they?”
Aster had given his final bits of the night to Jae-eun before he made his way to his own cell. His shoes tapped against the tiles of the hall’s flooring as he walked alone. A hand raised to the back of his neck, brushing the loose locks and fuzz that it managed to capture upon its clasp. There were armed men by the door, ushering for his entry as he approached. Like clockwork, he went through a body search before entering the cell and making his way over to his bunk. He practically collapsed in the cushion of the bed, his eyes staring at the starch white wall, “... Why is everyone acting so weird?”
     Teal hues shut from exhaustion.
His eyes suddenly opened, a heat of sleep deprivation stinging at the exposed bits of the organ. He turned in the darkness of his cell, hearing commotion from beyond the door.
     Struggles.
     Screams.
     Then, silence.
There was more movement, and the thick steel suddenly shifted. Light peeked through, Aster’s grip on the blanket pulling towards himself. His brow arched forward, the image of the heretic blackened from the light that beamed passed. Aster’s arm raised above his brow, eyes squinting with the sudden visual intake. The figure stood before it turned itself away, stepping out from the doorway. Aster could hear the foot steps fade, until there was silence. It was like his stomach was anchored to the floor.
He tossed his blanket to the side, slipping from the edge of the mattress. He stumbled with his first few steps, knees weak. His stomach seemed to twist with each step closer to the door, his eyes focused with the light now. He could see the fresh crimson water splatter across the white tiles of the hall. His fingers latched onto the metallic frame as his head perched out. His gaze shifted up and down the hall before he took a step out, his chest shaky as he took a deep breath. His hands curled into tight fists, brows furrowed with a held determination.
He ran down the hall, teal hues spotting a group of rushing guards. He attempted to stop and duck for concealment, only to slide on his padded shoes. He quickly backtracked against the wall, his head gently tapping the clean tiles as he let their grouped sound fade somewhat. He rushed passed the branched off entry, rushing over to the cell labeled with a bold, black ink ‘S#033.’
Aster’s hands grabbed onto the steel door, not questioning the lack of guards around. He used his weight to pull the handle, then pushed inwards to allow light to break into the darkened room. A figure rummaged from under the covers, only to lift up in a daze of tired. She rubbed her right eye, grogginess in her voice, “... Aster? Why are you here? The morning alarm--”      “We’re getting out of here, Jae!”      “... What?”      Aster stepped into the room to help her up, reaching forward only to stop and pull his arm back. The exposing light flashed across her body, showing her in a white tank top. His cheeks flushed red as he looked away, clearing his throat. He had never seen Jae-eun in this kind of light, and he hadn’t realized how attractive she really was. It hugged her body, giving her a much more shapely figure despite being rationally average with her measurements. He awkwardly cleared his throat, Jae-eun’s eyes drifting downward as she smiled a much more devious notion. She shook her head, kicking her legs to the side and using the motion of sliding off the mattress to gain footing. She took a deep breath, “Aster, let’s get you back before we both get in trouble--”      “Jae-eun, someone killed the guards and opened my door! Jae, we can--!!”      “What!? Aster, this isn’t good! They’re going to kill you for this!”      “No, Jae! We’re going to get out of here! You, me, and Dex! C’mon!”      Her tired eyes simply looked at the other, brows arched forward a bit. Her wake was slowly catching up with her, her mind grasping what Aster was planning. Her lip tucked itself between her teeth with a gentle bite before she nodded her head, “If we do this, we’ll never be able to come back, Aster. This life of peace... This is something we’ll never have again. Are you sure you want that?”       “This is hardly a life of peace, Jae... But, as long as I’m with Dex and you, nothing will stop me from fighting until we get that peace.”      Jae-eun replied with a simple smile, the both of them taking the ever dwindling time to race out of the room. Dexter’s cell was branched off another hallway, the two wasting no time to locate the painted letters of his serial, ‘S#038.’ However, as they arrived, the two quickly backed out of view of the hall. Guards in riot gear were posted all about the hallway, heavily guarding the designated door. Aster grit his teeth, “They’ve got guys all over his cell!”      “Then we make do, Aster! I’ll distract them, you get Dex!”
The moment suddenly hit. Jae-eun had run into the open hall, calling for attention. She then ran back, rushing passed Aster. The man took a few steps back before ducking into a corner. The men rushed passed, chasing after the rather agile woman. Once the last set of boots turned away from his line of sight, Aster slowly stood to his feet. He rushed down the hallway, one of the two guards left behind turning his sights to the man, “Hey, you’re not supposed to--!?”      Aster’s body suddenly engulfed in a blue aura, his body ripping across the space. When he reappeared, his fist was extended outwards and thrust into the man’s facial mask. He was thrown back into the other, both now spread across the white, glossy floor. Aster turned to the door, grabbing the steel hand and pulling it open. He then placed his shoulder against the door, pushing into it as he slowly opened. The light of the hall crept passed his figure, illuminating the dark room. Aster’s eyes scanned around as he took a step inside, “Dext-- Huh...?”
     It remained empty.
The bed was made, and it seemed to have been untouched for sometime. He stood in the doorway, his bros pushed together, nearly touching from the intensity. He turned back without a second thought, following the path that Jae-eun had ran. He headed down the hallway, the white suddenly stained with a fresh, bright crimson. It ran along the wall, splotches remained on the floor. The smear of the blood gave the impression that whoever was bleeding was in a rush down the hallway. He paced himself, fear causing hesitation in the man.
He appeared in the entryway of the cafeteria. He froze up, the sight of the chaos having caught his gaze. The tables were flipped, several guards had their weapons drawn. Jae-eun was collapsed, the trail of crimson leading towards her. His eyes continued to gaze around, aware that the attention of the room was now suddenly shifting to him. Jae-eun’s gaze turned up, and she pushed herself forward, “No! Aster! Ru-- Agh!!”       One of the men cut her off early, ramming the buttstock of his rifle into the side of her head. She collapsed again, obviously hitting her hard as she struggled for consciousness. Aster took a step forward, only for a man’s voice to shout at him to stop. He recognized the voice, and at its presence he had turned around.
Brows burrowed forward as the bulky, tall man walked into view. His hair was short, but long enough to be wiry and messy. Eyes were a deep blue, hard to look at if one couldn’t recognize him. His face was a permanent frown, almost etched into him so naturally. The man looked down, unfolding his arms to expose the bold ‘S#039′ print on his left arm, “Stand down, ‘32. You’re not part of this mission.”      “Wh... What do you mean ‘mission’!?” Aster shouted back, his hands balling into fists, “You mean... You’re just going to attack Jae-eun!? She’s one of us! You’re going to just turn against her like this!?”      “You need to understand!” His brows arched forward, glaring down at Aster, “We don’t have friends-- We don’t have family. We’re weapons and nothing more! We were stripped of our names, our lives! We are dead to the world, ‘32,” Owain’s deep voice rattled through Aster’s chest, widening the teal hues. The man then stepped passed him, his body slowly coating itself with a shiny, metallic cover, “My mission is to exterminate Subject Number zero-three-three. You’re being decommissioned, as for you--” He stopped walking, his feet stopping with the sound of scrapping metal. He looked over his shoulder again, “You are to be recaptured and detained. You are too valuable to the company, ‘32.”      Jae-eun slowly pulled herself up, her eye now swollen over. Owain continued towards her, holding his hand out and pointing it downwards towards her. She looked up with her dark eyes, irises red from the held back tears of pain, “Please, Owain...”      “You know what our purpose is. I only sympathize with you for being on the other end.”      “Then... Let me say goodbye to Aster...”       Owain turned his gaze over to the man, still paralyzed before the sights before him. His hands were tightened, knuckles white, teeth bared, and eyes lost in the white tiles of the floor. Jae-eun called his name, his teal hues drifting over to her defeated image, “Aster... Don’t be sad... I’ll be with you, alright?” Tears began to swell up in her eyes, a woeful smile on her face, “And together, we’ll walk through the Garden of Eden.”
Owain suddenly shifted. His brows arched forward, turning from her to Aster’s image now. His eyes hardened suddenly, his body straightening upwards. Owain threw his hand forward, “Fire! Fire now, you idiots!” Jae-eun took the moment to scurry to one of the corners.
The men raised their rifles, suddenly firing the automatic gunfire. Suddenly, his body disappeared with a blue aura coating his body. The blur ripped across the air. He’d appeared in one location, only for the coating to engulf his body and move him to another spot of the room, waiting for the men to pause their firing. Once the last round fired, a fraction of a second passed before he reappeared. The man held out a closed hand, turning it towards the floor and opening. From his hands, discharged rounds were dropped to the nearly flawless tiles. The men stood for a moment, Owain’s lip quivering, “... Shit.”      One of the men shifted, only for Aster’s body to phase over. He suddenly thrust his left hand upwards, diverting the fire of the rifle. With his arm extended upwards, he used the down motion to hook the back of the guard’s head. He pulled it down to meet with an upwards knee, cracking the visor of the other’s face mask. He then turned on the heel of his still planted foot, turning and extending the bent leg outwards with some impromptu sideways kick. His foot hit the side of the man’s helmet, knocking him to the floor.       He shifted again, his body forming in the air with his leg already upwards. He brought it down like a hammer, thrusting the other down towards the floor with a stumble. He then reappeared on the ground, quickly bending down to grab the ankle of his black boot. With a surprising amount of strength, he twisted himself about to toss the man across the room. The guard screamed before he hit the wall, cracking the tiles and falling limp to the ground.       The next moment, he was on the third guard. Before he could fire, Aster threw a left hook into his side. The force caused him to drop the rifle from his arm. Aster’s free arm crossed across his body to snag it, only to push the barrel up on the other’s exposed neck from the handguard. Without any sort of negotiation, he brought his left hand to the trigger and pulled with ease. The man’s neck exploded into a bloody mess, the sound of sudden gurgles and chocking filling the air-- Muffled only by the ring from the muzzle blast.       Aster turned to see Owain’s movement towards him. The metallic man swiped his arm horizontally, Aster ducking. The arm ripped through the rifle like butter, causing the upper half to spin about in the air from the force. He grabbed it, taking the barrel and pushing it between Owain’s lips. The man’s metallic coated eyes looked down, only for the assassin to swing the buttstock like a bat against the other half. There was the sound of grinding metal, shortly followed by the sound of Owain choking and gagging.       The metallic man was leaned forward, coughing. He felt a hand place itself on his neck, lifting him up. He was met with the image of Aster’s gaze. The teal hues like a burning flame, his discolored brows arched forward with intense line. Aster cocked his head back, only to thrust it forward against his. Owain stumbled back, his hands held against his forehead now. His vision blurred in and out, looking down at the other.
Blood ran from Aster’s forehead, only for the open wound to seal itself shut in a matter of seconds. The larger man shook his head, raising his fists, “No more playing around, ‘32... I will cut you down if I have to!”      Aster tilted his head to the side, giving a scowl.
The two met, Owain throwing the first punch. He threw a right hook, only for the other to lean back and have the initial attack miss. He threw a straight, Aster shifting his body so his fist ran alongside his head. He used the momentum, swiping his leg beneath Owain’s to throw him off balance-- Cutting up his own leg rather badly. Owain’s body fell with a slam, cracking the tiled floor beneath them. He grunted as he looked up towards Aster, the assassin staring down at the metallic man. His breathing was heavy huffing, “You can’t... Kill me, Aster... Not even ‘37 was able to best me in spars. What makes you think you’ll be able to--!?”       Aster bent down and gripped Owain’s forehead. He pulled him up, only to use his full force and slam the back of his head back down into the tiles. Raising Owain’s head once again, he kept slamming him into the ground. Metallic clunks echoed through the round as he let out grunt after grunt, Owain’s hand pressed against Aster’s face-- Cutting him up like a thousand razors waltzing across the ivory skin. His blood began to run down the underside of Owain’s arm, only for the heated feeling in his face to meet another warmth.       Owain had suffered from head trauma, the metallic coating on his body growing spotty and exposing some of his flesh. His fingers attempted to curl, “As-Aster, don’t...”       Aster tilted his head away from Owain’s hand, pulling his hand back from the other’s face. He then stood, his body slowly beginning to heal itself as he approached one of the tossed aside rifles. He picked it up, grabbing the pistol grip and holding it by his side. By the time he had come back to Owain’s body, his wounds were healing scabs. Aster stood over the main, bringing the rifle upwards towards the exposed rift across Owain’s chest. The man looked up at him, his brows arched up. His exposed hand reached up towards him, “No please... I-I don’t want to die, Aster...!”
No remorse was held as he pulled the trigger, Owain’s crimson spilled across the imperfect tiles.
Teal hues suddenly widened as reality built itself around Aster now. His hand began to shake, dropping the rifle suddenly. It rattled and bounced as it hit the floor, Aster taking a few steps back from the scene. His gaze looked around, spotting Jae-eun in the corner. Her eyes were wide, tears streaming down her puffy cheeks with no facial reaction. Aster took several steps towards her before stumbling a bit and falling to one of his knees. She crawled towards him, the man struggling to get back up before he simply let himself fall to his knees. He wanted to hold her, he wanted to feel the comfort of her presence but he knew of the consequences. They both just knelt near one another, Aster’s cheeks dry despite the knot in his throat. He felt a piercing pain in his chest, a push of a blade that went deeper and deeper with each beat of his heart. It felt as though his neck was going to swell shut, a constant swallow as a reminder that he could still breath. He didn’t want to look-- He couldn’t look. He knew what he had done, he could feel Owain’s weight.
How could he ever be a good guy like this?
Jae-eun got to her feet at the sound of the clunking boots, “A-Aster, c’mon! We have to go!” He turned his gaze to Owain’s body, laying so freshly lifeless. He continued to nod his head as she gripped his shirt to help him get to his feet, holding her side as they made their way to a now unguarded exit.       Jae-eun had known about this back exit for some time. When she was younger, Dexter and she used to sneak out into the garden. It wasn’t gated off, which always lead to them being lectured by Owain for reckless behavior. She pressed her weight against the door to reveal gray clouds and falling water, the colors of a darkened and gray nature but still all the while more vibrant. It was like opening a door to a dream that he hadn’t even known he had forgotten. He stared up at the sky, wincing a bit at the clouds as the rain drizzled down upon them. She guided him along a line of bushes in bloom, allowing now time to admire their color. All his life, Aster had seen only the colors of the facility and labs. He hadn’t known such color existed in the world-- Not in all sorts of coexistence.       Their feet suddenly met with hard soil, dried from the usual heat. And yet, on such an unusual day rain had decided to grace the land with its rare presence. The facility grew smaller and smaller as they continued towards where Jae-eun could only hope the road was. She had her hand still gripped on the chest of Aster’s shirt, only for her to suddenly jerk back as he stumbled again. She turned around, seeing the man once again on his knees.       The rain felt warm against his skin, humid and clammy. It felt discomforting, like he couldn’t be washed away. His teal hues looked up at her, several strands of water running down his soaking face. And yet, even through all that, she knew that he was no longer holding himself back. She bent down, placing her knees on the wet ground, her hands reaching out towards him. They placed themselves on his shoulders, “Aster... You were stronger than anyone I had ever seen before. That’s why I know you’ll survive, you’ll get through this.”
Jae-eun leaned forward, her lips pursed gently to meet his. The man’s eyes widened a bit before they softened, pushing back into the kiss. He knew of the consequences, before for the first time in his life he felt the comfort he had always wanted. The kiss was brief, but felt as though he was experiencing it for a lifetime. Their lips parted, and Jae-eun’s gaze met with Aster’s. He could feel his body begin to tense up, and he struggled to fight the poison. He looked up at her, watching her stand from his body, “I’m sorry, Aster... But, I know what I have to do. I’m not ready for you... Not yet. I hope you can forgive me.” She began to take a few steps back as pushed himself to attempt and follow, only to lean forward and meet his face with the dirt.       However hard it was, he continued to struggle against the toxins. His face ground against the wet, hard earth just to get a glimpse of her back. He struggled to reach up, his arm tense as it extended in small movements. His jaw dropped, shifting up and down as he struggled to call her name.
Maybe if she heard him, she’d stay.
Maybe if she knew he loved her, she’d stay.
Yet, her image continued to shrink. Fading from his sight. Fading from him.
A bell rang, a diner’s usual customers having their morning chatter. A young girl had been running late to work, no doubt a waitress. Her hair was in a mess, clothes ruffled. The small business was too busy to afford a lecture right now, and she was pointed by one of the older women to help with a gentleman’s order. She gave a nod and a thousand apologies, heading over to the man’s booth.       “My name’s Lindsey today, might I get you somethin’ to drink, hun?”      “Just a coffee, thank you.”      The man looked over at her, a smile on his face. An ivory fair skin, white locks that wilted to a black-- Probably the work of a very good hairdresser. He was well dressed, a blue blouse, tie, suspenders, all complimented with his black slacks. As she wrote down on her pad, the bell rang again. She looked up to see some thugs, roughed up with gaudy suits and egos to overcompensate. One had a cigarette hanging from his lips, despite the prohibiting sign in the door. They looked around the place, immediately silencing it, one of the men spoke up, “Hey! We’re looking for Lindsey! She ran out on our date last night and owes me some of that ass!”       Naturally, the waitress stepped back. One of the men tapped the other, pointing her out. They smirked, walking over with swagger, “Lindsey, you thought you could--”       The man suddenly stood from his both, the thug bumping into his shoulder. He wasn’t phased, instead he stared down the annoyances to the diner, “Hey, who the hell do you think you are!?”      His teal hues were set on the obvious ringleader, “My name’s Aster Brooks.”

"She sounds like she's dying " You think as panic starts to set in and you have no idea of what's going on Getting to the bedroom door is a struggle in itself since people are coming out of everywhere to see what the hell is going on The door keeps swinging open from the rust on the hinges and because of that someone ends up getting their leg broken in the melee as people were trying to get away from what ever was in there "Its Bad!" "Did she convert?!" "Let me through! I'm a doctor!" All this you hear as you finally get the door shut to keep more people out and then to add to the chaos one of your manticores tries to get through as well, the only thing that stops it from bursting throught the door is that the hallway is narrow so all it can do is stand there roaring at the door Fantastic Of course this is not the most worrying thing, what is worrying you is hearing Naji in there screaming in pain like someone (Who was obviously trying to kill her) was assaulting her with a red hot poker banging on the door shouting at her to stop screaming because you thought she was hurt and needed immediate help As it turned out however that's not what was happening at all! Naji it seems had just finally managed to master her powers like she said she was going to do and as it would happen, she decided to try them out by 'converting' you And, as for all spikes, they cause immense pain when thrust into a non-believer and head-banging wasn't the same as this and she wasn't Crucifer so you didn't think she'd be trying powers like this When she made the door burst open and you saw her, you nearly screamed because your mind thought she had been gutted like a fishery and her entrails were falling out all over for bizarre people is a blog, featuring artists, musicians, designers and other creative weirdos eating in the bistro! Except where otherwise noted, content on this wiki is occurring by the people and for the people But as with all things there are always those who wish to manipulate and take advantage of Others - and sides! ! It's hard to say what the motive is sometimes (and if you ever figure it out, consider yourself on alert) Without reason or logic, a woman (or man) decided to ignite some of her own pubic hair Well congrats for dating a zero! unfortunately non-ow my eyes today my dear!! hilarious!! Let's hope someone picks your story! Of course hair would go up in flames! I mean come on, redheads our prowess on cheap elite jerseys We are not unfamiliar with the alligator, though perhaps a bit larger than normal! Thanks for the contribution to our diet!! Personally I wouldn't want to be rooting through a gator's mouth cavity given the shape their teeth and jaws are in, although I suppose there are far worse things to be stuck in! , Be it eggs, gators, fowl or gator food Thanks odd wad's! It reveals that video is complete and ready to share You have the choice to 'Save' or 'Delete' Upon this revelation, you mull over the possibilities "I should just save it Who knows when I'd have a chance to do something like this again " My sister will be so jealous! stop being complacent with your life This guys cheating on your sister and you have the video proof! But what would i say if I confronted him? Insanely Fun Nighttime Camping Activities That Will Excite You
Tumblr media
Sitting around a campfire, drinking beers and telling stories is insanely fun but also participating in nighttime camping activities can fill the night with laughter and amazing memories.
So get your head torches and torches ready as you are in for a great amount of fun.
The darkness has a tendency of bringing out the mischievous side of people.
We tend to like to do things we usually wouldn’t do during the day and that is because the darkness is like a blanket that hides our silliness.
This is great because of this you’re more likely to have everlasting memories filled with laughter and adventures.
Just remember it is going to be dark so be a little bit more cautious as you might not see things that you would usually see during the day.
Okay but now we got the safety site out of it let’s get into the list and get excited about fun nighttime camping activities.
#Making shadow puppets
This one is really great if you do not feel like getting up from the fire but still want to use your imagination and have some fun.
Get a strong torch or use the fire and project your shadow puppets onto a tent or onto a tarp if you have one.
You can have the rest of the group try and guess what your shadow puppet is or join in.
To create the shadow puppets you can use your hands what nature has to offer that it sticks leaves and other things, you can be as creative as you want this.
#Nighttime Hike
Going hiking at nighttime is great as you will experience the outdoors in a different way than you would if you went hiking during the day.
You will see different animals, hear different sounds and everything around you will look completely different. In fact, if you go over the same path during the day you might find that you will not recognise it.
Before you do decide to go for a nighttime hike make sure that you research the wildlife beforehand so as to not run into a dangerous situation.
Also, make sure that you have a spare change of batteries for your torches and don’t stray away too far from the campsite so that you don’t get lost.
If you do go on a long hike make sure to follow one path and if there is a fork in the path at any point make sure to mark the direction you came from so that it is easier for you to get back to camp.
I would say take a map and compass as a last resort, but something you will find is that navigating at nighttime is extremely difficult as you will have trouble finding points of reference in terrain.
But worst case scenario if you do get lost don’t panic, stay warm and wait for the daylight and navigate your way back to the campsite.
Learn these advanced navigation skills to make sure you can find your way back to the camp.
Let's go stargazing next time we go camping

#Star Gazing
One thing I absolutely love about camping at nighttime is a clear night sky and gazing at the stars.
The sky is unpolluted from any light sources and can really put on a spectacular show for you.
Obviously knowing constellations would make it exciting as you could search for them with your friends and families.
Luckily for you these days there are incredible apps for your phones which will show you exactly where all the constellation are.
#Have a cook-off
See who the master chef of your camping trip is by having everyone cook the best meal they can come up with and then compare them
For a few simple recipes that are bound to turn heads of all your friends and family check out this set of camping recipes.
Which Nighttime camping activities have you done in the past? Comment below and share your favourite one
#Midnight Swim
With this one, you will require a bit more caution as at nighttime you do not see most of the dangers that lurk within the water.
If it’s a lake or stream make sure that you waddle through with it first so that you make sure that there are no rocks branches of things that could get you injured if you accidentally swam into them.
Places you should not swim in are fast flowing rivers and places which are marked as dangerous spots.
Either way, swimming at nighttime with a beverage and a few friends after a hot day in the sun is one of the most relaxing and enjoyable experiences you can have.
If you have a ball you can throw the ball at one another, you can get some floating apparatuses and float around, you can play tips and so much more.
Bring floatations devices next time we go camping to chill on the lake while drinking a beverage or 2

#Play Flashlight tag
This is a great game which doesn’t require much running around as it is played like hide and seek.
One person counts to a predetermined numbe r while everyone goes and hides in the forest.
Once the person counts to the number they start searching and whoever gets lit up with a flashlight they then become the person that is in.
#Draw with light
Using a set of torches and a long exposure camera you can create some incredible shots that will impress everyone.
It’s a great activity for multiple people as well as it requires everyone to communicate well and choreograph everything so that the images come out great
If you have colourful lights the pictures will come out even more amazing.
Who Said that I am too old to play camping games?

Have we missed any nighttime camping activities this post? Make sure to let us know in the comments so that we can ad them to this post.
#Tell Ghost Stories
You probably remember from movies or from your own experience how people used to sit around a fire and talk about scary, terrifying ghost stories.
It seemed that every time a noise would happen in the forest around you, you would think the worse and would huddle closer to everyone else.
Well, it is definitely a fun nighttime camping activity to do while sitting around the fire and enjoying each other’s stories.
For a free resource of scary campfire stories click this link Free Camping Ghost Stories
#Play glow in the dark bowling
Get yourself six or more 2 L bottles of water and place a glow stick inside of the bottles.
Next line them up in a triangular shape and use a ball to knock them down.
Just make sure that you do not have any drop-offs or places where you can lose the ball.
#Play Truth or Dare
A game that most likely everyone has played at least once in their lives is the good old truth or dare.
It is an excellent game to play with your friends after a few drinks as some of the stories that will come out or dares that may happen will be extremely hilarious.
One recommendation for a dare you shouldn’t do is to have someone jump over the fire.
It usually ends up with someone getting hurt
#Sing Campfire songs
Get out a guitar, tune your vocal cords and sing with a bunch of friends to some new pop songs old school rock or a selection of campfire songs.
It’s an extremely bonding experience when you have everyone tuning in and is contributing.
Best of all if the beat gets your feet you can also dance around the fire.
Here is a set of campfire songs which are easy to learn and most likely you’ve heard them once or twice before Campfire Songs
#Marshmallows
A camp is not complete until you have marshmallows which are roasted on a fire.
It’s amazing how these white or pink or yellow fluffy little objects can have so many different ways of being cooked.
Some prefer it completely charcoal black with the inside being melted and others love their marshmallows so much that they allow them to be cooked for 4-5minutes to get a golden brown colour but with the insides being warm, fluffy and runny.
What’s the way that you like to make your marshmallows, do you have secret tips let me know in the comments below
#Practise Night Time Photography
If you have a camera with you and enjoy taking a few snaps here and there make sure to set your exposure to long, get the tripod out and practice taking some beautiful nighttime photography.
It is incredible how much advancement we have had in cameras which take incredibly detailed and beautiful photos.
Once you take a few photos make sure to share them on Instagram using the tag #mendooutdoors.
#Cards Against Humanity
This game is widely popular at parties but also at campfires as it is a simple game but can get a ton of laughs.
Best of all it is also very small to carry and everyone can get amongst it and enjoy some politically incorrect jokes.
Click here to find out more about Cards Against Humanity
Cards against humanity, a campfire, drinks and we are in for a night filled with laughter

Has Cards Against Humanity ever been one of your Nighttime camping activies? How did it turn out?
#Two Truths one Lie
In this game, someone says three statements about their past.
Two of them are true and one is a lie. Everyone else around the campfire tries to guess which is the lie.
This is a great way to learn about the people you’re camping with. Take turns, of course.
#Never Have I Ever
Each person in the circle starts with three fingers up.
Then, you go around the circle saying something you’ve never done before.
If someone has done it before, they put a finger down. Keep going until someone doesn’t have any fingers left.
This is another fun way to get to know each other, but only play if you’re all comfortable with each other. Some questions can get personal.
Enjoying this set of nighttime camping activities? Make sure to share it so that others can enjoy it as much as you.
#Charades
This is a good way to keep things active.
Just make sure your campfire is bright enough for everyone to see the person acting out the charades.
Use this resource to make sure you get the best fire for the situation How to make a Fire
#Bring a Deck of cards
Cards can be used in so many ways and are by far one of the easiest nighttime camping activities that you can do.
With so many people knowing so many different types of games it’s just a matter of time for you to learn a new one which you can enjoy.
Best of all with cards they are small and easy to carry around and everyone can get amongst it.
Here is a list of card games you can play on your next camping trip Camping Card Games
#Build a shelter in the dark
Have you ever built a shelter while out camping? Try to do it in the dark.
This will enhance your survival skills as it is harder to do everything when night sets in. Best of all you can get everyone on board and make a really cool hut in which you can spend time in
Additionally, to that, you could sharpen your survival skills like rope tying and other cool survival exercises
#Play Camouflage
You can also play a game of camouflage which requires one person to stand stationary and countdown from 30. In that time have everyone else has to hide.
Once the person completed the countdown he opens his eyes, looks around while remaining in the same spot and lights up people with the torch.
The people who get lit up are out and have to wait to the end of the game.
If there are remaining people that still haven’t been found then the stationary person closes their eyes and yells out “food and water” and proceeds to count down from 25.
In the time everyone has to run that is still hiding and tap the person on the hand and find a new hiding spot.
Again the person opens their eyes after 25 seconds and looks around and tries finding people.
If there are more people remaining the stationary person counts down from 20 then again 15, 10 and 5 until everyone gets caught. The last person remaining wins and becomes the person that is stationary looking for everyone.
This is my set of fun nighttime camping activities that I think everyone would enjoy. If you enjoyed this article make sure to Share, Pin, comment and subscribe to my page for more amazing articles that will come out on a weekly basis.

Bitcoin's White Paper Gave Us Liberty – Let's Not Give It Back
This post was originally published here
One of bitcoin’s earliest entrepreneurs, Charlie Shrem is the former founder of BitInstant and co-founder of cryptocurrency intelligence service CryptoIQ.
This exclusive opinion piece is part of CoinDesk’s “Bitcoin at 10: The Satoshi White Paper” opinion series.
Ten years after Satoshi published the white paper that gave us bitcoin – and the explosion of innovation it launched – I continue to be astounded at its transformative power.
Money is such a fundamental part of life, and it has played such a huge role in mine, for good and bad. Bitcoin is the awakened sleeping giant of it all because it has fundamentally and forever changed money and, more importantly, money’s seat of power.
For me, this is the most important aspect of bitcoin and cryptocurrency: its role in propagating power to the greatest number of people possible. What Satoshi did when he democratized money was hand every individual alive – and generations to come – vast personal liberty.
This shift in power from the few to the many equals events in history like the advent of democracy itself, the invention of the printing press and the Renaissance. But it’s important to remember that nothing is free. What we gained in liberty with bitcoin, we lost in the security of knowing someone else was responsible for protecting our money.
But which would you rather have? Would you rather be able to spend your money exactly how you see fit and know that it is safe from the whims of political leaders with no skin in the game? Or would you rather have the comfort of knowing that if you fail to be vigilant, someone will make you financially whole again?
This is why I’m an ardent student of history. It’s a shortcut to understanding human nature, and it tells me I’d rather take my chances being the one making decisions about my life.
A Real Use Case
These days you don’t even need to study the past. The 24-hour news cycle gives us a window on economic disaster as it unfolds. We’re seeing in real time every stage of financial collapse on a national scale.
Look to Venezuela to see a society in the last throes of a financial meltdown, its people starving while its leaders continue to thrive, inflation hitting numbers that seem made up.
The International Monetary Fund expects that Venezuela’s year-end annual inflation rate will approach 13,000 percent. That’s astonishing when you consider that 4 or 5 percent makes news in other parts of the world. We’ve all heard about post World War I Germany and people using bags of money to buy bread. Here we are, a century later, and people are still subject to the capriciousness of the powerful.
Bitcoin could have changed things for the Venezuelans if they’d had an inkling of what was to come – and they should have – and thought to buy bitcoin or some other currency not tied to the bolivar.
Look to Turkey to see the early stages of a financial meltdown. The country is battling rising government debt, double-digit inflation and a currency whose value has plummeted. Turkish citizens are frantically unloading their lira to hang onto whatever value they can.
Many are turning to foreign currencies and many to bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
According to a survey of 15,000 people by Statistica, roughly one in five Turks owns cryptocurrency, the greatest rate of adoption of any of the countries surveyed. Bitcoin is already changing things for the Turks.
To see a society in the earliest stages of this kind of collapse, look to the U.S. Few here realize where we are headed with our inflationary monetary policy and runaway spending. But those few are already hedging against what many experts say will be a new and massive financial crisis for this country.
For the few paying attention, bitcoin is changing things in the U.S. before they even get started.
Fiat’s Star is Setting
We all know from trading cards and small toys in the schoolyard that money is part of being human. If it doesn’t already exist for us, we create it. I saw that in prison.
Despite rules and razor wire, prisoners were able to create a currency of mackerel packets and a black market economy that was stunningly diverse in what it offered for sale – everything from personal services like weight training and letter writing to specialty catering built on the limited, shelf-stable foods available.
So in a sense, bitcoin is nothing new to money. People are always innovating, and bitcoin is the logical next step. It is the response of people long imprisoned by a system that puts them at a significant disadvantage compared to the powerful. It’s a system that has allowed those who rule money to steal from the people who use and save it for themselves and their families.
Again, you don’t need a history book to see what happens when governments are sloppy and even malicious with monetary policy, when leaders neglect their duty to protect not only a country’s currency but also its value. All we need to know from history is that this has happened many more times than once and that it will happen again – is happening now.
Our dependence on others to take care of us at the expense of personal liberty and responsibility has grown insidiously to the point when people are at the mercy of individuals and organizations who have never had their best interests at heart.
Bitcoin comes with great rewards and risk, but your national currency is fiat with everything that entails and has its own even graver risks, I believe. To me, it is handing someone else the keys to the future and crossing your fingers.
Any history book will tell you how well that’s worked out.

Environmental Working Group released a report showing traces of the herbicide glyphosate in popular cereals including Cheerios, Quaker Oats, and Lucky Charms. But the chemical likely does not cause cancer in the very low levels at which it is present. That's because the dose makes the poison.
A jury recently ordered Monsanto to pay $289 million in damages to a plaintiff who alleged that his cancer was the result of using Roundup, the company's popular herbicide.
On the heels of the trial, an environmental nonprofit released a report that showed traces of the herbicide in popular cereals including Cheerios, Quaker Oats, and Lucky Charms.
One important thing the cereal report left out: The active ingredient in Roundup — a chemical called glyphosate — likely does not cause cancer in the very low levels at which it is present.
Last week, a jury in San Francisco ordered Monsanto to pay $289 million in damages to a school groundskeeper who developed cancer after years of using Roundup, the company's popular herbicide. On the heels of the trial outcome, The Environmental Working Group published a scary-sounding report that found traces of the chemical in dozens of everyday foods, from cereals like Cheerios and Quaker Oats to granola bars.
One important thing the report left out: The active ingredient in Roundup — a chemical called glyphosate — likely does not cause cancer in the very low levels at which it is present.
The science linking glyphosate to cancer is limited at best. In fact, the majority of published research on glyphosate and cancer reveals low or zero risk. Here's what you need to know about the chemical in cereal.
The dose makes the poison
Before developing cancer, the plaintiff in the recent trial had used Roundup regularly in his job as a groundskeeper at a California public school. For neglecting to alert Johnson (and the rest of the public) about the potential links between glyphosate-containing Roundup and cancer, the jury ordered Monsanto to pay Johnson $289 million.
But as for whether glyphosate could actually have been the sole or even primary cause of an individual's cancer, the research leans heavily toward "no."
That's because the dose makes the poison.
Eat or drink too much of nearly anything, and you can die. That applies to everything from apple seeds (which contain the deadly poison arsenic) to chocolate (which packs the toxic chemical theobromide) to water (if you drink roughly 6 litres of water at once, you can develop hyponatremia, a deadly condition in which an excess of water causes your cells to puff up like balloons).
The scare over a potential link between glyphosate and cancer appears to have begun with a now widely-criticized statement put out by a World Health Organization group known as the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) in 2015.
That year, the IARC put glyphosate — Roundup's active ingredient — in a cancer-risk category one level below widely-recognized harmful activities like smoking. But several researchers have said the IARC's determination was bogus because there is no evidence that glyphosate causes cancer. In fact, a lengthy review found that the IARC had edited out portions of the documents they used to review glyphosate to make the chemical look far more harmful than its own research had concluded.
Several recent rigorous scientific studies have added to the notion that glyphosate — at least in the amounts we consume — poses little harm and is unlikely to cause cancer.
Just last year, a review of studies looking at the ties between glyphosate and cancer concluded that in the low amounts of that people are actually exposed to, glyphosate "do[es] not represent a public concern."
So, should you be worried about breakfast cereal?
The cereal report — which focused on children, not adults — found levels of glyphosate higher than what it determined to be safe for 43 of the 45 cereals it tested. Bu the math fails to line up with other published figures on glyphosate safety levels.
In its report, any cereal with a glyphosate level of more than 160 ppb, or parts per billion, was marked as "unsafe." The Environmental Protection Agency's legal limit on glyphosate in food for adults is 5 parts per million, or 5,000 parts per billion — meaning that the cereal report's figures were 31 times more stringent than what the EPA considers safe.
Given that children are smaller than adults, toxicologists generally develop slightly more strict figures for them.
But instead of drawing from the EPA's glyphosate numbers, the cereal report authors looked to California standards — which are notoriously tough and recently led to the controversial decision of the state slapping cancer warning labels on coffee.
In California, where glyphosate is still listed in a registry of "chemicals known to cause cancer," the levels of glyphosate considered "safe" to ingest are 60 times more stringent than EPA regulations. Using that figure as a baseline, the cereal report authors then added "an additional 10-fold margin of safety" to arrive at their glyphosate safety threshold, determining that ingesting 0.01 milligrams of glyphosate every day would give you a one-in-a-million risk of developing cancer over the course of your lifetime.
Given all that, it's not surprising that so many cereals got flagged as in the red for having glyphosate levels higher than what the cereal report authors determined to be safe.
"Our products are safe and without question they meet regulatory safety levels. The EPA has researched this issue and has set rules that we follow," a spokesperson with General Mills, the company behind Cheerios and Lucky Charms, said in a statement supplied to Fast Company.
"Glyphosate is commonly used by farmers across the industry who apply it pre-harvest. Once the oats are transported to us, we put them through our rigorous process that thoroughly cleanses them. Any levels of glyphosate that may remain are significantly below any regulatory limits and well within compliance of the safety standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) as safe for human consumption," said a Quaker spokesperson.
New research could change the controversial classification of glyphosate
The IARC's 2015 statement on glyphosate and cancer is not final.
Based on new studies (typically in mice), glyphosate could go from its current status — where some people see it as a potential cancer risk — to being recognized as having a low risk for harm.
Several studies of glyphosate and cancer are ongoing, and more are coming out each year. Just last year, a review of studies looking at the ties between glyphosate and cancer concluded that in the low amounts that people are actually exposed to, glyphosate "do[es] not represent a public concern."
It's also possible that new evidence could come out strongly against glyphosate and suggest that it's incredibly harmful. New evidence dramatically changed the public perception of another popular product which was initially labeled cancerous — a zero-calorie sweetener called saccharin, which is sold under the brand name Sweet' N Low.
In the 1980s, any product containing the sweetener was required to carry a warning label saying that it was "determined to cause cancer." But the science was flawed: the rats that had been used in the studies were especially prone to bladder cancer, and the findings did not apply to people. So in 2016, the sweetener was removed from a list of cancer-causing ingredients.
Glyphosate's status ultimately remains to be seen.
