Can you touch it gently?

Ruby sat close to her boyfriend, the soft light of the room casting a warm glow over them. There was a palpable air of nervous excitement between them, a moment they had both anticipated yet felt unprepared for.

"I've been thinking about this a lot," Ruby began, her voice a mix of eagerness and hesitation. She looked into his eyes, searching for understanding. "I'm excited, truly, but there's also a part of me that's... unsure."

Her boyfriend nodded, his expression one of complete attentiveness and care. He reached out, gently taking her hand, encouraging her to continue.

"It's just that everything has changed so much since the accident," she continued, her eyes briefly flitting away before returning to his. "I'm still me, but I feel different. And I don't know how you..."

She paused, gathering her courage. "Would you want to... I mean, would it be okay if you touched my leg stump? Through the stockings, I think it might feel... less strange."

Her question hung in the air, a delicate invitation filled with vulnerability. She watched his reaction closely, her heart thudding in her chest.

He smiled softly, his eyes warm with affection. "Ruby," he said tenderly, "I want you to feel comfortable and loved. If this is what you need, if this makes you feel more connected, then yes, I would love to. You're beautiful to me, every part of you."

The tension in Ruby's shoulders eased as she heard his words. A wave of relief and gratitude washed over her, mingling with the excitement that had been there all along. She leaned in closer, feeling the strength of their bond in that simple, understanding exchange.

As they moved into a more intimate space, there was a new layer to their connection, one that acknowledged Ruby's vulnerability and celebrated their mutual trust and desire.
