Is Teruhashi based off of the author's wife?

Saiki K published in 2010 in one short chapter, and was serialized from May 2012 to February 2018 (chapter 1-279).

Kokomi appeared in 2012. Her attitude at the beginning of chapter 5 was narcissistic. She flirted with the new transferred boys in chapters 18 and 66

And now I want to focus on the year 2014 since the author started to be a big fan of dempagumi.INC. He tweeted that he went to the first idol concert in November 2014.

His coworker/assistant who helped drawing Saiki k. manga (三原すばる/Mihara Subaru) drew this manga panel, and he was the one who made the author a big fan of Dempagumi (his wife is an idol in this group) in 2014.

I 2014, his wife's hairstyle appeared in chapter 87. Kokomi could sing in chapter 90. Kusuo admited that he was a tsundere in chapter 92.

Chapter 101. Kokominzu. Um... Being Otaku can affect to manga. His wife also has a fan club.

Chapter 114 Saiko appeared. He was the man of Kokomi's dream, but the author made Kokomi more loyal to Kusuo and stopped flirting with a new boy.

In 2016, there was a turning point. Kusuo was more open to Kokomi and respects her feelings. He got rid of the guys in the mixer (Chapter 182). He bought her a present (Chapter 204). Kusuo said offu with his own mouth to Kokomi (Chapter 214). He praised Kokomi we are invisible (Chapter 218)

In the same year, the author did draw his wife as Aiura Mikoto, and Aizawa Risa as Kokomi (chapter 219) and he tweeted it on 7 nov 2016. Does this prove that Risa is kokomi to the author?

Yumemi posted this picture and got the comment that she was Nendou (because of her height). If it is because of the height, I can arrange their heights in order.

Boy cosplay: Yumemi is 170cm (Nendou 191cm) > Mogami 162cm (Saiki 167cm) > Fujisaki 157cm (Kaidou 159cm)

Girl Cosplay: Furukawa 165cm (Mikoto 166cm) > Aizawa 159 (Kokomi 164cm) > Naruse 160cm (Chiyo 156cm)

There was a comment that said "As I thought, Aso sensei is a big fan of Risa-chan, aren't you? " (because he drew her as Kokomi and we all know that Kokomi is his favorite female character). The author didn't reply/answer the comment.

However, the queen came and claimed her crown! The author's wife (Furukawa-san) wrote on her twitter that "it is ok to offu" the same day the author tweeted that drawing. We all know there is one character who wants to hear offu. So who is the real kokomi?

I guess 2016 was the year they were bf/gf. That's why it's a turning point for Kusuo. I mean I wouldn't care if a big fan of mine likes or married another woman, but I do care if someone thinks my boyfriend likes another woman. Both of them couldn't say it out loud because his wife is an idol (must be secret).

In December 2018, the author proposed to his wife on Saiki animation S3 ep 1

In manga

1st choice「はしもとかんなとけっこん」→ married to Hashimoto Kanna (she starred as Kokomi in live action).

2nd choice 「よしおかりほとけっこん」→ married to Yoshioka Riho (the actress).

3rd choice 「ガッキーとけっこん」 → married to Gakki (Aragaki Yui: not relate to Saiki k).

But in anime s.3 ep.1 (Netflix doesn’t translate the texts in anime.), Asō sensei changed

no. 2 to「かやのあいとけっこん」married to Kayano Ai (Kokomi’s voice in anime)

no.3 to でんぱぐみのだれか(とけっこん) → Married someone in Dempagumi(.inc).

He grouped his wife with Kokomi in animation. I guess his wife likes Kokomi or he sees his wife beautiful as kokomi. Anyways, he is so sweet to do a marriage proposal on anime and this'll alway be on Saiki k anime forever .

18 september 2019 The author announed that he and Furukawan-san would get married (one day before his wife birthday, 19 sep), and they had got married in november 2019 (the same month they met each other.

His coworker (三原すばる/Mihara Subaru) wrote on the manga panel, the result of being an otaku for 5 years (from 2014 to 2019). Congratulations on marriage!

So, it is Furukawa-san that the author likes from the beginning, and Furukawa-san was Mikoto in that drawing because of the height. One thing we should know about the author that he likes to trick the readers. The same as he tricked us about Aiura´s soulmate which is Toritsuka.

In my opinion, Kokomi wasn't based off the author's wife in the beginning (because they didn’t met each other from start of Saiki k. (2012), but they met each other before half of saiki k. manga 2014). Kokomi is his type and she looks similar to his wife. So, he likes his wife from the first day. The author changed Kokomi to be more nicer: not narcissistic and loyal: stop fooling around. She is beautiful, has fanclub and talented like his wife (a little based off his wife), but not a 100% like his wife because some personalities of his wife are taken to the other characters. His wife had a lack of communication at school and dislikes insects (that's kusuo character from 2012). She is a gamer. She likes ramen (Umm, it's nendou character from 2012).

The question: Doesn´t Kusuo end up with Kokomi if the author and his wife haven't met?

Answer: I would think that Kokomi’s still narcissistic and would chase after him until the end without Kusuo showing that he liked her or not. Being aroace, I guess.

But the author planned from the beginning that they have same birthday month and he sent them together (Kokomi asked for a decent boy and saw kusuo on her birthday, his father asked God for a nice girlfriend for his son and Kokomi appeared). The ending would be the same that kusuo chooses kokomi in chapter 279 (He doesn´t make a 100% clear and the readers have to interpret the ending).

The picture from animation released in 2019, the year that they had got married or manga chapter 281 released in 2018, the year that the author proposed his wife. He made kusuo and Kokomi canon (Saiki likes Teruhashi in the last scene). The picture shows Kusuo startled when he heard someone called Kokomi. He didn't react anything to other friends, only reacted to Kokomi. He smiles after her words and quickly grabs glasses (save the world and grant Kokomi´s wish). Kusuo said he liked trouble which refered to Kokomi (chapter 181). Both of them like each other. The end ଘ(੭◌ˊᵕˋ)੭* ੈ♡❤️🎉‧₊˚

Chapter 181 and Reawakened ep. 6

Chapter 181 kokomi admited she liked kusuo and Reawakened ep. 6 (Chapter 281) kusuo said he liked trouble, kokomi. Ironically, he referenced/linked this romantic couple (SaiTeru) 100 chapters apart. The same as 100 chapters apart for this couple: Mikoto met Reita for the first time in chapter 173 and Reita has pink hair in chapter 73. With the pun of the characters’ names and this reference, this author is literally brilliant!

I'm not sure if the author changed Kokomi’s personality to be nicer after knowing his wife and made Kusuo´s heart swayed for kokomi the same timeline of their relationship on purpose or he did plan about this, even he didn´t meet his wife. Edit The author made terusai happened the same timeline of theirs relationship after I saw he referred himself as saiki and Kokomi as his wife in chapter 115. See extra: is Teruhashi is based off of the author’s wife? I am so sure that the author is so sweet. He even changed the storyline that Kokomi is (a little) based off his wife and saiki is a tsundere. The author saw his wife beautiful like kokomi (miss perfect in his eyes) and that’s why he grouped Kokomi and his wife in a marriage proposal. Kokomi and his wife has effort (this is definitely his type). The most important is his wife wanted to be Kokomi. “It’s ok to offu”. The author will do everything for his wife and it seems to me that his wife likes kokomi and is SaiTeru. Kokomi is favoured by the author God. Both of them are SaiTeru.

I like to think that the author say this to his wife

something that's very interesting to me is that in almost any iteration of MP100 (but in this case specifically ageswap versus canon), certain characters (in this case whoever end up being the adults) have to fail miserably in their lives before they can even begin to interact with other characters within the story.

in canon, Serizawa has to grow up as a shut-in and not have any confidence in himself or his powers and get picked up by Claw as a result. Mogami has to spiral into being a horrible person and become the reason for his mom's death and become a shell of an evil spirit. Reigen has to grow up without friends and build up his persona and boister his fake confidence and become distant from his family and be a fraud. none of them could meet the kids and go through everything in the story that fixes them if they didn't fail in the things that they most wanted to overcome first.

in an ageswap AU, Teru has to never meet Mob and grow up thinking he's better than other people and never need anyone to actually like him because he lives alone and can just make them anyway. Mob has to suppress his powers and have no one to tell him things that he'll realize are wrong and not have a mentor and not do well in school and not rely on anyone because he's scared of what he'll do to them if he does. Ritsu has to be scared of his brother and they have to grow apart because they end up being wildly different and eventually he switches honorifics to Onii-san and kind of dreads talking to Shige because they both failed.

in canon, you watch Mob have every person who cares about him be taken away and his falling apart at the seams when they are-- expected, as he's the kid. but you also watch Reigen realize that he doesn't have anyone because he won't let people get close. you see Serizawa lose control when his umbrella is taken away because the president gave it to him and he needs that because god knows people aren't so constant!

in an ageswap AU, you can fix Reigen and Serizawa and even Mogami and Toichiro if you're really intent on it. in an ageswap you can have Teru meet Mob through business but you can also bring a shy, kind of self-doubting Tome to Spirits & Such because she hears a rumor about telepathy. she still wears aliens on her socks but finds the smallest incessant shame in it because her club got torn down as soon as it was made clear that she was the only one who cared about them. you can have Mob spot a grown-up, successful Tsubomi in the streets and freeze up and be too nervous to say hi to her. you can see Shou the struggling single father of a kid he doesn't know how to handle.

the adults all have to fail at first because the point of Mob Psycho is that you have to let the other people in your life change you. you have to let them in because feedback with a sample size of oneself is not enough to judge and base one's thoughts & actions on. they're the kind of characters that cannot exist without each other because they make one another into who they are.

OK SO EPISODE 11: TRAUMA GOT ME LOSING MY MIND TONIGHT READ BELOW TO SEE MY THOUGHTS

Shou and touichiro seemed pretty much the same except for two things. 1) touichiro's vision of Shou and his wife which was just... So good... The way that the coloring paralleled his vision of his wife in season 2 has me 😭 2) the other one I noticed was the double charge bomb they did together. This could have been in the manga and I just didn't remember it, but I'm pretty sure that's anime original and I am LIVING for it. Shou's trump card which he originally used to try and bring down his dad is now being used in tandem with his dad to help someone. It's so so good. (What's NOT so good is Shou's outfit, why is bones so determined to slander his sense of fashion?? But that's a post for another day lol)

(for an episode titled "trauma" it was rather hopeful in the end. Wonder if that has any sort of thematic meaning)

first, all the changes. I really adored all the build up they gave ritsu. His arrival was a bit abrupt in the manga, and I will forever love bones for not only having ritsu find the crash sight, but also find and take care of Teru. Literally yesterday I was thinking about how sad it is that Teru just gets left naked and hurt in the middle of the road, so that was very very nice.

Back to more Ritsu changes since I'm following the episode's progression of scenes! I really miss the "man this is overkill" line. I know it doesn't fit the tone but it was just really funny ok?

But for some bigger changes, I noticed they took out the rhubarb wire that Ritsu saved a body improvement club member from. Which is interesting, I wonder if that's because of change of setting or censorship concerns.

They also took out a lot of the implications of Ritsu's plan later in the fight. In the anime, he said something along the lines of "a big shock might stop nii-san" whereas in the manga...

Yeah, he basically flat out says "maybe if I get hurt nii-san will snap out of it" which hoooo boy sure is a line of dialogue.

The final change I noticed was between the two "Mob" and "Shigeo", mainly in the art. I LOVE how they're doing it, with Shigeo being a blank white outline and Mob having blue lineart. It really helps differentiate them and make them pop. Super cool.

Now, do I miss some of the manga content and am I sad to see it go? Yes. But did bones do an utterly incredible job at adapting this? YES!!! so even if i don't like some of the changes, I like some of the other changes, and I love it overall.

As for overall hype:

Also all of the parallels to previous things like having their fight on the bridge where mogami world Ritsu ignored him is spectacular. And the whole "I'm your little brother so let me help you" paralleling mobs "in your older brother, so I have to take care of you". And the music being the same as their original fight in the alleyway. I can't even...

SHOU CONTENT!!!! YES!!!! I CANNOT EVEN BEGIN TO DESCRIBE HOW HYPED I AM TO SEE MY BELOVED

Studio bones really just adores the super five huh? Hatori is still here lol and Joseph too

REIGEN AND SERIZAWA JUST SPRINTING PAST THE POLICE AKFJSKFKR YES THAT WAS SO GOOD

Tsubomi please move out of the way of the active tornado this is not a safe place my girl (and what an interesting character choice for her to wait, Tsubomi is such an enigma in all the best ways)

Oh rip to sakuri and koyama, you did your best. (Side note, imagine your ex CEO falling from the sky to duke it out with a magic middle schooler who just destroyed your workplace. Seasoning city is so wild lol)

Random side characters getting one frame my beloved! Minori moment!! Tokugawa and Shinji moment!!

In conclusion, episode 11 makes me lose my marbles and it was 100% worth the wait!

The easiest thing to do would have been to return home and write off the cell phone as lost, but this time Arataka was sure that it would be months before his parents would buy him another one. Since the last argument with his father, he seemed to have given up and the only response Taka had found was complete neglect. Even his mother seemed exhausted from putting up with his nonsense.

Taka didn't know whether to be grateful for feeling like a nobody at home. It was the only thing that explained why he had been able to spend so much time with Serizawa the past few months. Taka had long since grown tired of trying to compare himself to the golden child. If it didn't seem right to his mother that he was a nuisance to Serizawa's family, she hadn't bothered to tell him either.

For a moment, he wished Serizawa were there with him.

It was absurd. Taka knew for a fact that there was nothing there. Kageyama-san had seen to that. But the feeling of apprehension was no less real for it. The cell phone couldn't even have ended up that far away. It was just going to be in and out. What was the worst that could happen? Arataka walked up to the door and peered inside through the gaps left by the wooden planks lining it. The darkness barely let him see anything but for a moment he thought he saw the silhouette of his phone on the floor.

"Really?" Taka sighed, throwing himself down on the landing and reaching out under the rotting planks. The gravel was digging into his side and the dust made him sneeze.

For a second, he brushed the device with his fingertips. Just a little more and he could forget about that cursed place for the rest of his life.

"Fuck" Taka cursed himself as he noticed how it slipped past him, sliding even further away.

Without much spirit, he stood up, shaking the dust and grit from his pants and jacket. The planks were rotten, after too much time out in the open without any maintenance. Taka tried pulling and kicking at them until he managed to break through. Just in and out. Nothing more.

After juggling trying not to prick himself with any rusty nails or broken wood splinters Arataka found himself inside the house. A shiver ran down his spine. Cobwebs had gathered in the corners of the ceiling and weeds had even broken some of the floor tiles.

Taka moved forward slowly wishing he had never had to set foot in that place again. Even without seeing it, the door leading to the basement seemed to lurk from his subconscious.

"There's nothing." Taka repeated aloud to himself. "Don't be an idiot. There's nothing and you're not ten years old anymore."

His footsteps were outlined in the dust that covered the entire floor. Taka bent down to pick up the phone when a black shadow ran almost brushing against his hand.

The scream would have chilled anyone.

Taka fell backwards, all his weight falling on his left foot. The pain almost made him scream again. The cockroach scurried off at last. Cold sweat trickled down his forehead, he wasn't quite sure if it was from the fright or the pain. Or maybe both. With trouble he tried to get to his feet. His ankle was twisting in a strange direction.

The door to the entrance seemed too far away and the basement door too close. The thought of standing there another minute only made him more and more nervous. Mogami wasn't there. Nothing was going to happen. As soon as he got his phone he could call Serizawa and everything would be fine.

Everything was going to be fine.

Taka had the impression that he had forgotten how to breathe. Crawling he managed to barricade himself against one of the walls of the dining room. What if there were more cockroaches? Kageyama-san had exorcised any trace of Mogami's spirit. There was nothing there that could harm him. Only his memories. Nothing was more dangerous than his imagination. Taka bit his hand trying to keep himself in the present. Tears seemed to struggle to escape. He wasn't the same pathetic kid he had been... There was nothing. There was nothing. It was just his own fears. His mind being a motherfucker. But there was nothing.

Taka looked around. The walls of the dining room seemed to be missing any trace of the peeling paint. The cement color of the scratchy basement walls rose around him.

He just needed his phone.

Taka closed his eyes and tried to breathe. He didn't know how long he'd spent lost in his own memories but the cold numbed his hands and he could barely notice his face. He had been a fool to think he was going to be able to do anything right. He was barely able to see anything through the tears and pain but Arataka managed to crawl over to the cell phone. It was comforting to hold it in his hands again. He barely dared to unlock the screen. Mogami could come back at any moment. What if Serizawa ended up in that hellhole with him? Taka went back to huddling against the wall as if it would be able to protect him from anything.

His hands were shaking as he tried to find Katsuya's number among his contacts. He felt as if he had lost three hours of his life, lost in his own mind. His eyes stung, tears sliding down his cheeks. The dial tones seemed to drag on forever.

Katsuya's voice didn't even seem real when he finally answered.

Taka bit his lip. He didn't know if the words would come out when he finally managed to open his mouth.

"K-Katsuya, do you think you could come get me? S-sorry, I know I don't...b-but...p-please?"

I decided to give Ren Gender Feelings. 🚨

Kyoko was feeling pretty proud of herself. Box R had wrapped early this evening and, now a week into her charade as Setsuka Heel she was needing less of Jelly Woods’s help with her transformation process. Every inch of her wanted to skip her way to the hotel room where Ren playing Cain would be waiting for her, but skipping was hardly something that Setsuka could be caught doing. While there was less of a risk of being spotted when she wasn’t at Cain’s side, she still couldn’t afford to disrupt the illusion of her cool-girl aesthetic, regardless of how proud she was feeling. However, that didn’t mean she had to hide her enthusiasm once she was inside the safety of her hotel room. Surely she could just make up a reason that Setsuka was as happy as Kyoko was; Setsu was much easier to please than Kyoko, anyhow.

“Brother, I’m home!” she sang as she pushed the door open, grinning widely.

“Mo--Mogami-san.”

That was the first thing wrong with her entry. Ren didn’t take himself into the hotel room; they were supposed to act almost entirely as Cain and Setsu unless they needed to break character for whatever reason. Ren was not in character as Cain. But as she lingered in the entry, she realized that he wasn’t really in character as Ren, either. Not even the stranger she’d met when she first started working with Cain was present in the room. Instead, she found herself sharing a room with someone she didn’t know at all.

Kyoko quickly closed the door behind her and pressed her back against the solid fixture of the fall. Her first instinct was to laugh even though there was nothing to laugh at. Not with the scared expression Not-Ren wore now, like a deer caught in the headlights.

He wore a lacy bralette trimmed with velvet that Kyoko recognized as one of Setsuka’s discards when they recognized the bra was far too big for her chest. Now it was too small on Ren’s broad body and pinched at the skin where the soft straps strained to stretch across his torso. A shawl was draped haphazardly over his shoulders, but that wasn’t the part that had left both parties frozen in uncertainty.

Over his hips, he’d tried and failed to fasten one of Kyoko’s old skirts over his hips. She’d forgotten that the skirts were still in their room, having forgotten about them since Ren had been kind enough to procure pants for her comfort. Now seeing him in the skirt, uncomfortable for an entirely different reason than she had been, Kyoko’s heart broke clean in half.

She extended an arm and stepped away from the door, approaching him slowly. “Do you need--” Help? The offer stuck in her throat, unsure of how she was supposed to help in the situation she’d found herself in. Help him put the skirt on? Take it off?

Mp100 Age swaps are so funny to me, imagine you are like The Strongest Psychic around but your social skills are shit and this kid suddenly shows up and he keeps hanging around you, and like what do you do in this situation? Your life is bizarre enough anyway so you just let the kid be and your brother seems to hate the kid though you don't understand why, he's just a Litol Creture, and also you might be the kids parent now? Is this how adoption works? You don't know, you are so confused

yesss it's very funny. i've pretty much created my au around like,,, a very specific scenario for one fic that i want to write so i don't know all the specifics of the world (ie. what's happening with claw) but in this universe mob was absolutely failing at his little psychic business until this ten year old hired him to exorcise something HE promised to do and then was like oh man you don't even have an office or a website and you barely talk to your clients. lucky for you i'm an expert and i'm very experienced at these things (*insert it's free real estate meme over child reigen*). this mob was like man that doesn't sound like something a ten year old should be experienced in but idk enough about ten year olds so i guess i'll pay you to help me with my business if that's what you want. at to that he is definitely this kid's dad now. the kid was just in it to get money out of him at first, but the kid has claimed him as parent now and will not let go.

the ritsu situation is actually very very complicated and what the fic delves into, because in this au they haven't actually spoken for years until when the fic is set. which is right at the end of the mogami arc. his first impression of reigen is nii-san can you please put it back where you found it. i don't like this weird ass smooth-talking con man of a 14 year old. of course he can't say that. he has to be polite. he has to let this wretch into his home. and what's that? the kid refuses to leave? the kid is staying until mob's brain is back in gear from all the spiritual out of body stuff he was doing? the kid's parent is not coming to pick him up? oh! oh jail for nii-san! jail for a hundred years! how dare he adopt a child! (except no! he won't be rude to mob. no jail for nii-san ever. there is no winning for ritsu. he has to accept this child if he wants to bond with his brother)

I think mob would be SUCH a good parent! he's honestly the only one of the kids I can imagine having/adopting kids someday. he's very kind and patient and has a big heart, and I think that would make him a very good parent. he'd be very understanding too, since he knows what it's like to fucking Go Through It as a child. I think the kageyama parents hit the "expectations for your children's future" lottery because they have a kid that goes into a high paying career (ritsu) and a kid that gives them grandchildren (mob)

25. When do you think they acted the most ooc

this is a hard question because his whole Thing is that his emotions are all out of wack and he acts differently than he would normally during explosions, and also he's such a solidly written character that it's hard to say he's ever ooc? the cop out answer is to say during the mogami arc for. obvious reasons.

idk, maybe the interaction with shou in the world domination arc? he's pretty consistent in being really fucking upset when his family is endangered, so it's a little surprising how quickly he forgave shou for burning his house down and creating dummies of his family's CHARRED CORPSES, but also he's extremely understanding and tbh had Other Shit On His Mind at that point, so it makes sense that he was still kind to shou in that moment. I do think mob and shou should kind of have a rocky relationship after the dust has settled tho

joke answer: what if you were thirteen and so fucking traumatized and neurotic that you gained the ability to bend spoons after feeling intense guilt for framing a kid for licking girls' recorders

serious answer: Ritsu is the perfect foil to Mob in that they both start out with everything the other lacks, and their stories are inherently tangled in such a way that without Ritsu, the whole show wouldn't exist, and also he is so thirteen

I think it would be so funny if he and kabru from dungeon meshi met. they would either get along or stress each other out so fucking much. they're both v observant and trying to read people to figure out what mask to put on to keep themselves safe, and I think it would be interesting to just put them in a room together and see what happens.

Talking about my ageswap au for mp100 TW for suicide!!

I feel like grown Ritsu in this au would be angry and generally a jerk - he only gets away with running a Spirit Exorcism Business because for some reason people that get to close to him spontaneously gain the ability to see spirits, curses and auras. He's actually The weakest natural psychic, he just can't tell because he almost never has to rely on his power alone.

Mob killed himself at 14 after years of trying to manage his powers with no master to help him or give him a place where he really belonged. There isn't really a tipping point, he just comes to understand that he's not happy to be alive, no one else is either, and dying would mean The Thing from The Incident dies with him. He follows Ritsu around as a ghost because that's all Mob really has a desire to do - this leads to him constantly leaking his energy into the area around him as he unconsciously absorbs it (can't have a psychic overload if you're a psychic rain cycle) so not only to people around him (and Ritsu because he Never leaves Ritsu) get tiny crumbs of psychic energy, but Ritsu also can't Really tell when Mob pours power into him to make his attacks stronger (which he does all the time because Ritsu isn't strong enough to exorcise spirits)

Reigen at age 10 ended up near Ritsu, seeing Mob and then just following them until Ritsu started yelling at him. Reigen sees Mob dip to hide out of Ritsu's sight and takes a chance. Asks if Ritsu can see ghosts too, to which Ritsu says that yes, he can, and he has a business for it. Reigen ends up guilting Ritsu into letting him go to the office Once (Mob used to be outcast for seeing ghosts too and look what happened to him). Reigen goes in covered in bruises and bandages because he got excited and told kids at school he saw ghosts, and Ritsu again is like 'this is how it started, this is why Nii-san died - what if I could help?' And Reigen takes full advantage, saying he's a very powerful psychic (like a liar) and then becoming The Receptionist. Ritsu pays him exact minimum wage to the minute and only when he goes out on a job because when he's in the office he has no responsibilities and is therefore being babysat.

Ekubo is a human, a year older than Reigen and a giant jerk that speaks four languages (at least). He told Reigen they were friends and didn't leave him alone since (he was trying to get to Mob) and then makes fun of Ritsu constantly (to get to Mob) all so he can figure out why Mob is so powerful and eventually eat him. This plan changes when Teruki - a TV psychic - comes to his house (which is technically an abandoned house, he lives there with a dozen or so ghosts that have raised him for as long as he can remember [one of his uncles said there were more before Mogami came, Mogami was like the boogie man for Ekubo]) He only calls for help when he figures out he absolutely can't win himself (he texts Reigen to bring Mob, they bring Ritsu as their emotional support grown man)

When Ritsu, Reigen and Mob get there, Ekubo has a giant barrier around the whole house full of ghosts, and Teru's holding the kid against it by the neck just hissing 'drop the barrier' over and over. His camera crew is knocked away somewhere, now he just wants to win against this kid. Ekubo has had the shit kicked out of him, but the barrier is still there. Ritsu instantly goes to wrip Teruki away, and Teruki takes an adult esper as an invitation to go ham - well, at least until Mob comes out in the open for the first time to stop those two because You Don't use psychic powers on another person. Teruki ends up using Ritsu, Reigen and Ekubo as leverage because he can't figure out how to hurt Mob. Mob can't keep up with the power while he's in his leaky spirit form so he has to take a human form to hold and control his energy better (like Ekubo in canon, except Mob looks like Mob because he remembers being human).

Teruki learns, Reigen and Ekubo come to terms with the dead kid they've been talking to, Ritsu cries for a Long time, they all get invited in for tea by one of Ekubo's many ghost parents.

was so excited to own the official mp100 translation but then i realized that they took out. the honourifics. and i wasn’t expecting that at all because yugioh never did that and the english subtitles OF mp100 reflect the honourifics and not the equivalent titles in english. hearing "mr. reigen" instead of "reigen-san" and "master" instead of "shishou" is so weird. especially because most characters ARE still referred to by their last names …. like in the mogami arc they still call mob "kageyama" and minori "asagiri"…. just without the suffixes. very weird to read. idk if i’ll be able to get used to that LOL
