Charlie in Underworld makes me emotional because the found father figure from the previous game is outed as a liar and the protagonist’s character arc regresses back to their depressive state before meeting him due to the betrayal and the father figure feels so awful about this that this usually-stoic man breaks down entirely until the consequences of his actions smack him so hard that he’s suddenly filled with the motivation to change and grow and he leaves everyone behind to better himself without making anyone worse and GOSH 😭
