3/18/24.
APB are an Aberdeen, Scotland band that formed back in 1979. "Something To Believe In" was originally released in 1985 as a collection of singles. In 2022, Liberation Hall reissued this on both vinyl and cd. APB were "known" - Adam Horowitz referred to "Shoot You Down" as a "punk, dance-floor classic".
To me, this sounds like a great mish-mash of The Jam, Naked Eyes and Prefab Sprout.

Chris Andrews SONG OF THE WEEK “Blown Away” https://timchrisandrews.bandcamp.com/track/blown-away —A synthpop love letter from the weather station of British singer-songwriter Chris Andrews, a British recording artist and singer-songwriter whose songs have been covered by Roger Daltrey, David Essex, and Davy Jones (Monkees). Chris was part of the seminal “freakbeat” band Fleur de Lys and, under the name Tim Andrews, he was a champion of late 60s psychedelic pop. In the 80s, under the name Kris Ryder, he released New Wave synthpop sides, continuing in that style in the Millennium with tracks like “Blown Away.” On a cosmic jukebox this would play between The Buggles, Thelma Houston, Naked Eyes, and OMD. Check it out: https://timchrisandrews.bandcamp.com/track/blown-away
