🚨 Visa Update! Starting April 10, 2025, Australia, Canada, and US citizens must have a visa for Brazil entry. Also need to share bank statements first.
Good news: Tourists and cruise-goers can now apply for an evisa online, saving a trip to the consulate. It's $80.90, valid for 10 years with multiple entries, but stays capped at 90 days/year. This was initially slated for 2024 but is now making a comeback after a brief hiatus since 2019.

US Authorities Introduced New Rules on Taxes in the Cryptoindustry
It appears that the Biden's administration in its quest to raise an additional $24 billion in government revenue could hurt the crypto industry in the US by far greater amounts.
At least so far I have not heard any reasoned positive response to this proposal.
What do the Ministry of Finance and the Tax Administration offer? In essence, equate crypto exchanges with traditional stock exchanges and oblige them to notify the IRS (tax office) of their clients' transactions. The funny thing is that this also applies to DEX platforms which are known not to collect personal data at all.
Perhaps the most ardent critic was Congressman Patrick McHenry, who accused the Presidential Administration of intending to destroy the US digital market and called for working with congressmen to develop legislative norms to regulate the cryptocurrency industry.
While this is just a bill, all claims and comments will be accepted until October 30, and the first hearings in Congress are scheduled for November 7.
Considering that the election race has actually begun in the USA, the issue of cryptocurrencies can become one of the main topics in the candidates' debates.

नए आयकर नियम 2023 :- 1 अप्रैल 2023 से नए वित्तीय वर्ष की शुरुआत के बाद काफी संख्या में आयकर नियमों में बदलाव होने जा रहा है। इन आयकर नियमों को केंद्रीय बजट 2023 के प्रस्तावों के आधार पर बदल दिया गया है जो हाल ही में संसद द्वारा वित्त विधेयक 202-23 के माध्यम से पारित किए गए हैं।
इस वित्त विधेयक के अनुसार ₹5 लाख के वार्षिक प्रीमियम पर आयकर नीतियों से आय होगी। अब 1 अप्रैल 2023 से टैक्सेबल हो गए हैं। इसलिए, ऐसा नहीं है कि सभी जीवन बीमा पॉलिसी की आय कर योग्य होगी। वित्तीय वर्ष से केवल उन्हीं जीवन बीमा आय पर कर लगाया जाएगा जिनका वार्षिक प्रीमियम ₹5 लाख से अधिक है।

Short-Term Capital Gains to Apply on Mutual Funds from 1 April 2023, Know the Details
As a setback to investors, the amendment in the Financial Bill will bring some changes in the Mutual Funds. According to the government, investments in debt mutual funds will now encounter taxation. And these instruments will be taxable as per the short-term capital gains. At present, those who have invested in debt funds as per the income tax slab they fall in, pay income tax on capital gains. This is true if the debt funds in question are held for three years at the least.
Once three years pass away for the funds, then the person has to pay 10% without indexation or 20% with indexation. The change in regulation will come into effect after 1 April 2023. One of the reasons why people choose to invest in debt funds over fixed deposits is because of the tax advantage. But as per the new amendment, if you hold debt funds for more than 3 years will not get the benefit of tax indexation and associated advantages.
On Friday, it is possible for tabulating the financial bill amendments and the proposed changes in the same at the parliament. The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Edelweiss Asset Management Limited, Radhika Gupta said in a tweet that she hopes the proposed changes as per the Finance Bill for the removal of LTCG with indexation status are reviewed for debt funds. A vibrant corporate bond market is happening in India along with financialization. And that needs a strong ecosystem of debt Mutual Funds.
More people could now invest in bank fixed deposits as these investments are safer. In Budget 2023, there was another major announcement regarding MLD (market-linked debentures). And this was about making the MLDs taxed according to short-term capital gain. The taxation will also depend on the tax slab the person belongs to. An individual can choose between the old tax regime and the new tax regime.
