Anyone remember the grunt from Amnesia The Dark Descent? Dude was a staple in the horror genre back in the early 2010's.

Almost forgot to share, but here's promptless Inktober day 3!

This time, I decided to draw some Dutch folklore. We call them "De Bokkenrijders", though this is just a single one, they're usually in groups.

The Buckriders ( a.k.a. De Bokkenrijders ) were, according to folk belief, people or ghosts riding through the sky on bucks. It was also believed that those who made a pact with the devil would move themselves on the back of a buck at night. However, the name was later given to a band of thieves who were active in the period between 1740 and 1798 in the area which currently is South-Limburg in The Netherlands, Belgian-Limburg, around the Dutch and Belgian Kempen as well as some places just over the German border. They mainly targeted farms and presbyteries. They later got a Robin Hood-like status.

Today, many ( mainly Dutch people ) associate this piece of history with the Efteling, a theme park which has a ride called Villa Volta. It’s a madhouse which uses the story of a Buckrider who was cursed after robbing a church. This story is made up, but I personally think it’s fun that a piece of Dutch folklore is preserved in this way.
